There is a couples Vietnamese restaurant around the South Bend area. And Cre-Asian is being one of them. Beside some of the typical offering of Vietnamese food, they also have a mix of Chinese food and it gear toward Taiwanese specifically.
One of my favorite from the appetizer would be the Cre-Asian Rolls. It is packed with spicy ground pork, shrimp, carrots, white onions, green onions, clear noodles and taro. One thing special from this is they used the rice paper instead of the typical egg roll wrapper. After slightly deep fried, the rice paper add another level of crispiness to it. Along with the sweet garlic sauce, super yummy. Other than the Cre-Asian Rolls, the Chicken Satay and Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken is pretty good as well.
From the noodles soup perspective, I tried the Hue Spicy Noodles Soup and they are decent. They may left out a couple ingredients from an typical authentic bowl of Hue Spicy Noodles Soup, but the flavor of the broth can make up to it. I would prefer the noodles itself can cook a couple more minutes, as it is still on the harder side.
Overall, I would say they are pretty decent compare to others in the local area. Of course we can not compare it to some offering in the big city and some of the ingredients that they use can be improve. But if you are looking for a spot for your temporary Vietnamese/Chinese food craving, they are not a bad option in the South Bend area.
