Primarily a place to get pastries 🍰 😎 to go, it can get quite busy with the line extending out the front door and onto the sidewalk (be sure to keep the door closed or they will remind you 😀). Luckily, the line goes right by their selection of freshly baked goods 👌🏻. The strawberry 🍓 cream croissant is a great choice. Be sure to get everything you want before you leave the line as there really isn't much help after your purchase. They are on to the next guest to keep the line moving. No indoor seating but some metal tables and chairs on their outdoor patio. Your view is of a neighborhood street and El Camino Real. Pastries were good but highly recommended to get your favorites to go. Enjoy!

A must visit for us on the way to Riverside. We arrived around 11am on a Sunday morning. There is a small line but moved fast. Friendly and fast services. We sat outside to enjoy some pastries and got some to go. Our favorites: strawberry croissant and tiger cheese!

We drove by and had to stop as we saw a line outside. Cute Japanese style bakery with delicious egg salad sandwiches, chicken Katsu, strawberry croissants and coffee. Their bakery offering looked outstanding so we got a few different items all were great! Noticed that the chicken had MSG in it but otherwise their baked goods have no preservatives

Cream Pan Bakery is the kind of breakfast spot that turns a simple morning into a small celebration. I stopped by for breakfast, and wow… this place delivers. The pastries are fresh, soft, and loaded with flavor. You can tell everything is baked with real skill and care. The bread has that perfect balance of light and buttery, the kind that makes you take a second bite before you even realize it. I also grabbed one of their fresh squeezed juices, and it hit like sunshine in a bottle. Bright, clean, and refreshing. Fantastic! I bought these trays two mornings in the row. They are the perfect thing to bring as a hostess gift. I went more toward closing time and they still had some left. They were fresh and delicious.

A Must-Visit Bakery Gem — Consistent, Fresh & Always Delicious! After my morning run today, I decided to stop by Cream Pan, one of my all-time favorite bakeries. I’ve been here several times, and I can confidently say I’ve never had a bad experience. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the most amazing aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries. The staff is always warm and friendly, and the display cases are filled with everything from sushi rolls and sandwiches to pastries, cakes, and desserts it’s impossible not to find something tempting. I first discovered Cream Pan thanks to my brother when we were in California for my wedding. He stopped by to grab some snacks, and that’s where my love for this place began. We picked up the crispy chicken sandwich, the turkey avocado sandwich, the strawberry and cream sandwich, and of course, the famous olive bread with dipping olive oil and wow, that olive bread is what won me over! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Since then, I’ve been back several times, and the consistency has been impressive. My favorite item is definitely the turkey avocado sandwich, followed closely by the crispy chicken sandwich. There was one time my olive bread came out slightly burnt, but every visit after that has been perfect they really do pay attention to quality. Today marked my fourth visit, though I arrived a bit late in the afternoon, so many items were already sold out (a good sign of how popular this place is!). They were out of the turkey avocado sandwich, but one of the sweetest employees recommended their egg sandwich, saying it’s a customer favorite. I also decided to finally try their famous strawberry croissant with custard. Both were incredible. The egg sandwich was light, creamy, and super fresh one side had tomato, the other cucumber, giving it the perfect balance of texture and flavor. The strawberry croissant was pure heaven flaky pastry, smooth custard that wasn’t overly sweet, and fresh strawberries dusted with powdered sugar on top. Everything about it was perfect. My mom also loves Cream Pan every time I fly back home to Miami, she makes sure I bring her the olive bread. It’s become our little family tradition now. Overall, Cream Pan is a solid 10/10. The food is consistently delicious, the staff is kind, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It’s one of those rare bakeries that truly lives up to its reputation. Can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu!

How on earth did I live in OC all these years and have never heard or tried this place until I saw a reel???? Their strawberry crossiaby crème is heavenly, to say the least. Line was out the door on a Friday at 2:30pm. It's a typical small bakery but they were spitting these out like hotcakes. I'd be back any day of the week if I could!!!

I used to frequent this place back in the day--before the lines, before the expansion, before it went mainstream. It was a hidden gem--emphasis on was. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for their 'small business' success, but I guess fame comes at a cost? So, this past weekend, I thought I'd stop by for a meal and a treat after a hike with my girlfriend. I get it--long lines, busy day, everyone's tired. But one of the lady workers yelling, "CLOSE THE DOOR AND WAIT OUTSIDE!" was... well, intoxicating to say the least. Was it necessary? Probably not. Like, chill--I just wanted some food, not a boot camp experience. Anyway, I ordered my usual pork katsu, some salmon rice balls, and Azuki's. The katsu? Great as always. The Azuki's? Well, hold on to your seats. I hadn't been here since last year, so I was excited. Took a bite and--my god--I was not ready. This thing was 99.99% cream. I'm talking more filler than any TikTok model out there. Honestly, I thought I bit into a damn cream puff-- tf! In summary: Food's mostly still good, customer service has taken a dive, and the Azuki's are now a dessert betrayal. Five stars for the memories and the katsu that didn't let me down, but seriously--one star for the Azuki and the girl yelling at people. Bring back the OG Azuki's that actually had some azuki, like wtf. OG Azuki lives matter!

Cream Pan is know for its strawberry croissants, and for good reason! The strawberry croissant comes with sliced strawberries, custard, and powdered sugar on top. It's not too sweet, which is great, and it's perfect for bringing to an event. I also like the strawberry banana croissant, which is topped with sliced strawberries, bananas, a layer of custard, and chocolate - yum! I appreciate the convenience of being able to grab a prepped pack of strawberry croissants quickly, though the place does get filled with customers. I went around 7:15 am on a Friday, and there was already a line to the door, which only grew as I waited. The line system is efficient and the line goes by quickly. I've only tried these two items, but they've both been hits at events, and I'd definitely recommend them. :)

Five stars for their strawberry croissants! There's a reason they say they're famous for it. I didn't get to try this place in person but I did have these croissants after my partner came back from a flight home to FL and they had help up in flavor. Although they weren't fresh, these were some of the best croissants I've ever had. The cream is what really got me and the sweetness of their strawberries... amazing. Safe to say I'll be dreaming about their croissants until I visit in April. Can't wait to update this review with my thoughts on getting to try them fresh!

We don't make it out to OC often, but when we do, we always try to check something off our bookmarked list. This time, we finally got to try the famous strawberry custard croissant at Cream Pan--and it did not disappoint! Despite the line stretching out the door, it moved quickly. The croissant was perfectly flaky and crunchy, while the custard had just the right amount of sweetness. These are definitely best enjoyed within a few hours of purchase. If I lived closer, I'd be picking up trays of these for gatherings all the time--just like the many people we saw walking out with boxes full of them. I didn't get a chance to try anything else this time, but I'll definitely be back for more strawberry croissants.

BELIEVE THE HYPE. I've been recommended Cream Pan by friends before and it's always recommended me on Yelp and I never had the chance to try their baked goods until now. I even heard from other friends who came to a recent event that there was a super long line in the morning already. By the time I went here in the evening, a good chunk of their other goods were already sold out (other baked goods, onigiri, futomaki, etc.), but they still had fresh strawberry croissants getting pumped out throughout the day. Deliciously delicately flaky, nice amount of powdered sugar, generous custard cream inside, and sweet, not too tart strawberry slices. We inhaled our croissants, our friends enjoyed the pastries that we shared and I could have easily eaten much more. I can see why these are so popular and why they're known for them. Would love to come back and get more of the strawberry croissants and hopefully one day try more of their pastries.

I've been to Cream Pan many times now. I love getting the strawberry croissants for parties I go to. They're always a hit. This spot usually has a line, but it goes by fast. The cashiers are quick and efficient. I've also tried their savory meals, such as the handrolls and Katsu sandwiches, which were pretty good! I can't wait to try their other items. Thank you!

This is the perfect place to get bakery items in bulk for any potluck or gathering! Our go to is the strawberry croissants which are so delicious and incredibly affordable especially for the quality. Parking lot has plenty of parking spaces and the establishment is easy to find. It is pretty small inside so depending on the time and day you go, there may be a line extending out the door. However the items here are very worth the wait. The strawberry croissants are so flavorful and the custard isn't too sweet. The dough of the croissant is perfectly flakey as well. 10/10 spot and I will continue to come here!!!

Pastries: Tiramisu: 7.5/10 It was okay--nothing particularly special about it. The dessert was mostly cream with no cake layers inside, which would have improved the texture and flavor. The thick layer of chocolate powder on top was a bit overwhelming and slightly bitter. Strawberry Croissant: 10/10 Although I'm not a fan of strawberries on desserts (I usually just eat them on their own), I personally removed the strawberries. That said, the cream in these croissants is absolutely delicious! The croissants are small--just about two bites--but so flavorful and satisfying. Cost: 8/10 Tiramisu: $6.00. Strawberry Croissant $2.40. Pricing is very reasonable.

This was our first time here. We stopped by on a trip from LA. We had heard amazing things but all in all it was meh. I'll start with some of the bummers first. The service was rather surprising. We were rushed tremendously the entire time. At the beginning you grab a tray and pick out some items and then you pick what items from the case you want (you don't grab those the baker does). When we went to pay there was a slight mixup (it had gotten very busy) with what we had picked and what we hadn't. I'm not sure the woman working there was aware that I spoke Spanish but blaming us rudely to the other ladies that worked there was kinda appalling. She clearly didn't know I spoke Spanish. The only other bummer is that the coffees we got were lackluster. Really watery. I'd pass on those and come here just for the treats! On to the baked goods. We shared a pb and j that was on their bread. Nice and fluffy bread! It was 3.90 though which kinda surprised me. The only baked good we didn't like was their cheese boul. Other than that we had their croissant, ham and cheese croissant, and An's donut (filled with red bean). Personally the ham and cheese was the tastiest! We also took some of their bread to go. Looking forward to making French toast with it later. This is a grab and go joint so no tables are inside - but nice to grab a bunch for your office or home. Plenty of parking in front which was nice! All in all bummed it didn't live up to the hype. It was a good solid place though with a lot of regulars. A neighborhood go to.

The food was soooooo good. Our favorites were the Azuki cream puff, chocolate horn, strawberry puff, & strawberry banana croissant. Savory food wise we really enjoyed the chicken curry katsu but the beef curry bread and the onigiris didn't live up to as much expectation. Service was so fast so do not be intimidated by the line out the door. Lots of seating area outside with nice chill vibes and space to enjoy the goodies!

The strawberry cream croissant were a big hit at the superbowl party I brought them to! I highly recommend calling in to place your order ahead of time so it will be ready right when you want it. You get to skip the long line, go right to the register and pay for your order. It made for such a smooth pick up process, I was in and out under 5 minutes! The staff were also very friendly and courteous. I look forward to coming back to try other pastries when I have more spare time.

I think this place is decent and consistent through the years with their baked good. The strawberry cream pan, cream puff, and food items are all pretty solid. The service is just never really friendly and it makes me uncomfortable. I actually really love the cute cramped vibe in here, and it adds to the entire experience. They didn't have an item I was looking forward to having, and that was a bummer. Other times they have had it in the morning, and being from San Diego, it's always a let down when your favorite item requires a half an hour wait at 6:30am. But still, it's a great little bakery with a quirky homey vibe.

You can always expect a wait which speaks to the popularity of this Japanese and French inspired bakery. Besides the strawberry croissants, other favorites of mine include the Choco Horn, their pork buns and Musubi. I recommend going early or else menu items may sell out. I've only visited the Tustin location which can be found in Old Town Tustin, but it's great to hear that Cream Pan has grown and expanded to locations like Fountain Valley and Lomita. FYI - there is only outdoor seating available at the Tustin location. From my experience, staff has always been friendly and polite. If you haven't been to Cream Pan before, what are you waiting for??

Strawberry croissant (5/5): What they're known for! Flaky croissant filled with custard cream filling and strawberries. Love how their custard cream had a strong vanilla flavor that wasn't diluted with whipped cream (which a lot of bakeries tend to do). You'll want to at least get a package of these. Fruit Tart Cake (5/5): A selection of fresh fruits with delicious custard cream on top of a sugar-cookie like crust. There's a healthy dose of fruits so you won't feel too bad about this dessert. I bought this to share but ended up eating quite a bit of it myself (oops). Sandwich box (4/5): Sliced sandwiches consisting of ham, turkey, egg, and tuna. Good choice for those who don't know what kind of sandwich they want to get a variety. For $5.40 you really can't complain! The bread is soft and crust-less and goes well with the toppings. Beef Curry Bread (4/5): Fried bread filled with a savory beef curry filling. A little oily but comforting bread. It's pretty flavorful! Hot Dog Bread (4/5): As it sounds - hot dog in bread. The bread is fluffy and not dry. It's a simple dish that is executed decently. Service is friendly and helpful in answering my questions. Place is clean with plentiful seating inside. Can't wait to come back and try their other items - like their katsu sandwiches and sushi rolls/onigiri/hand rolls!

We visited Cream Pan on a Sunday afternoon, and it seemed like a pretty popular place. The line was almost out the door. This casual, Japanese style bakery had a wide variety of breads available, and we even saw some katsu sandwiches. I only ordered coffee this time, just an iced americano. Ordering didn't take long, but waiting for our drinks to be ready did. The coffee wasn't bad, but it wasn't my favorite either. A lot of the signage featured their strawberry croissants. I'll definitely have yo try them next time!

We stopped by today to grab a few sweets for our car trip. We heard great things about this place and we're anxious to try it. We picked up three items, the orange brioche, the blueberry cream cheese, and a Boston cream doughnut. The brioche had good flavor, but was a bit dry. We didn't care for the flavor of the Boston crème donut. The blueberry cream cheese croissant was pretty tasty; the best of the three. The parking is easy in the lot. The staff was nice and the people in line with us were big fans and happily shared their recommendations.

I ordered the 6" strawberry shortcake and tray of 14 strawberry croissants. Note that for cake pick-up they can only do pick-up after either it was 11am 12pm. But luckily I made the reservation and they let me know I could skip the line to pick up because otherwise, the line was out the door around 11am. As for taste, the strawberry croissants live up to the hype. The croissant is fluffy and the cream is light. I was really impressed by their cake though. I prefer chocolate over fruit cakes but I really enjoyed this one. The cream is really light and not super sweet. The cake was fluffy and the strawberries were sweet. This was a hit amongst my Asian relatives who are really picky about sweetness level!

Super cute Japanese bakery. Definitely recommend!! There is seating behind the bakery if you want to eat things after you buy it. The fruit tart is really good I personally dont like sweets as much but the tart i definitely recommend not too sweet and not too tart. The curry pans are both really good, I like the beef one better than the chicken if I had to pick between them. At the register there are also meat buns and a few other choices. They are a good size and it's nice to have it fresh.

Been wanting to try to this place for a while and finally had the opportunity to go. Made it to the location about 8:15 am on a Sunday and there was already a line so I knew this place had to be that good. The line moved very quickly, they asked what selections you made, they gather it and pass it to the next person. Cashier was quick with both tendering and bagging. I would say I was in and out within 5 mins. I tried a few things, because hey treat your self days are permitted Strawberry croissant with custard- these were good and definitely a must try. Cream pan- like a sweet bread with custard. YUMMY Strawberry banana- this right here is my favorite but would buy all 3 again. Everything about this pastry is amazing the custard and Nutella with the fresh fruit. HEAVEN. They also sell other prepackaged breads that all look amazing. Looked like they did catering orders as well. If you're in the area, TRY THIS PLACE.

These were great desserts. They take your order fairly quickly and get your box ready and then you wait a bit more to then get to the cashier to pay and add drinks if wanted. There's a lot of things along the walls to purchase like sliced bread and trinkets around. They also have seating outside the back.

Thought I'd give them another shot but it is the same so-so experience. Forget it if you come in after 2. You are best going to one of the Korean or Taiwanese places that bake throughout the day and have something available to eat. Why they even have late hours is ridiculous. No more. Their competitors are more friendly, have food later in the day. Gas is $ these days to be wasted.

Cream Pan is a gem near the Old Town Tustin area serving up some delicious Japanese pastries for the community. This spot is tucked away in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. No matter the day and time you come, there is usually a line! Inside at the front, they have trays where you can grab to put all your goodies on. As you make your way through the line, you will see all of the delicious croissants, cakes, sandwiches, and pastries they have for the day. They are definitely most popular for their amazing strawberry croissants so I recommend picking up one of those to try. Overall, you really cannot go wrong with any item you try here. There is no seating here so this spot is more of a grab and go spot. All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is a reason why this spot has over 6,000+ positive reviews!

A friend at work brought in some of the strawberry croissants! They were really good and looked so pretty. I feel dumb that I had never heard of Cream Pan until now, lol! I'd definitely recommend the famous strawberry croissants and if I'm ever in the area, I'd definitely stop in and take some treats to go.

They're crispy and flakey, the strawberries are fresh and the whole thing is "not too sweet". We also tried their strawberry banana croissant and while it was good, I think we'll stick to the OG strawberry croissant! When we first got there on a Saturday afternoon, there was a line out the door. We opted to come back 20 mins later and the line was gone. There's actually a whole bunch of other baked goodies like loaves of bread, etc but we stuck with the croissants. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend the strawberry banana croissant, cream puff and the azuki cream (red bean)! I enjoyed them with the Le Nu iced coffee (Vietnamese coffee). We also picked up the strawberry croissants, butter croissants, pork curry to go and a sticky bun. They offer a variety of premade Japanese sandwiches, cakes, pastries, hot and cold coffee, and drinks. Variety of bread, rolls, and hot dog buns are available for purchase located in the center tables. There are a few tables and chairs in their outside patio area. The line moved pretty quickly and there are plenty of parking spots in the front.

Always so, so yummy!! Waited in line ~15 minutes at 7AM on Christmas Eve. Strawberry croissants are the classic (and the favorites) but we also like the azuki cream bun (which is much more cream than red bean). I usually get the strawberry croissants, but this time I tried the banana strawberry croissant, which was filled with hazelnut and custard on a long flakey croissant. The fruits were incredibly fresh, and the custard was perfectly balanced, not overly sweet. I also got the pork katsu sando, which had fluffy bread and tender katsu. The tangy sauce drizzled on the sando added a nice touch as well. I also ordered the peanut butter sando which was a simple dish elevated by the fluffy, fresh bread and chunky peanut butter with delightful pieces of peanuts in every bite. Overall, I'm very impressed with Cream Pan and eager to explore more of their menu. Plus, there's plenty of parking available, making the visit even more convenient.

This was the original cream pan (I think?) & the first one I visited. Their stewabeeeh banana croissants, cream puffs & orange bread are my favorite! They also have a really great bread pudding. Out of the few times I've been I've never been disappointed!

Waited long line to get some Strawberry croissants. They are worth to wait. The Christmas cake looks great but the price is a little too high because it doesn't taste good as I expected. Probably won't buy next year.

A little taste of Japan that highly resembles being in Yokohama at one of the local bakeries or convenience stores! So visually appealing and delicious

Some employees here need an attitude check and maybe some actual customer service training! I come here pretty often for their Katsu Curry which is always great, however I am extremely disappointed with how the cashier treated me this visit. When it was my turn to go to the register, someone else's order was there and I politely told her that's not mine and that I am just ordering curry. This was followed by a sigh and an attitude that could be seen by anyone. Then she yelled "pork or chicken?!" in such a rude tone when she wasn't even at the register! When she returned to the register she asked "pork or chicken" again because obviously she can't hear me if she's not at the damn register. Still being calm, I told her one pork and one chicken -- she followed with an eye roll and a sigh. Ridiculous... It's understandable that Cream Pan is a fast-paced environment with frequent long lines, but if you're going to work at a bakery, you better have the mindset to serve your customers with a welcoming attitude.

Luckily there was no line at 10AM Sunday. I got the beef curry pan, strawberry croissant and ham and cheese. Was about $9 for all 3 so reasonably priced. I wish they heated up the pastries, they would be yummier warm. My favorite was the strawberry croissant, it was crispy and not too sweet, though it is a bit small lol

I'm so glad we found this place (on a whim) while in LA. I didn't know it's history, but the reviews and photos made us want to stop by and try it for sure. This was voted as one of the best Japanese bakeries in America years ago, and I wouldn't be surprised if that were still true today. We got a hotel not far from here and came here almost everyday while in LA. My favorite is the cream puff, which is full of custard (not whipped cream). The next is a popular item, the strawberry croissant. Both were good. We also got the ham and cheese roll, and the katsu sandwiches. They all tasted great. I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. They also sell onigiri, hand rolls and steamed buns too. The steamed buns were great also. There is always a line here, but they move fast and have a system in place. I highly recommend and this will be one of our stops we have to do when I'm la (the other being Porto's).

Cream Pan is hands down one of the best bakeries I've ever visited. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked bread fills the air, making it nearly impossible to leave without trying something. Their signature strawberry croissant is absolutely divine--flaky, buttery, and filled with the perfect balance of custard and fresh strawberries. It's a must-try! Beyond that, their melon pan and cream-filled pastries are equally amazing. The bread is always soft, fresh, and has just the right amount of sweetness. Prices are reasonable for the high quality you're getting, and the staff is always friendly and efficient, even when there's a line (which is often, for good reason!).

4.5 stars. If you can only get one item, get their strawberry croissant! The cream (custard?) they use in their strawberry croissant is soooooo good. The best cream I've had in a croissant. There was a line when I got there, but it moved fast. It moved so fast that I was kinda nervous about what to do - I mean, I needed more time to look at all the options and debate (internally) about how many pastries I can reasonably eat in a day. I would've gotten more, if it weren't for the fact that I had big lunch + big dinner plans. The Azuki Cream was just okay - solid red bean pastry, but strawberry croissant was SO good that I wished I could've eaten more. They do have bigger pre-packaged boxes for the strawberry croissants (I can see why now), but there was a sign that said it was best eaten on the day of. I'm not really a fan of their store layout, just because it's difficult as a first-timer to remember what I want (you don't have space to backtrack and look at the options) + you don't really have time to explore the other part of the store that had more bread/goodies.

Haven't been in here quite some time but came by on the early side of lunch, which was hopping! They ran out of most grab-and-go sandwiches and upon inquiring, they said that was it! No more replenishing of the supply. I picked up their signature strawberry creme croissants, which are delicious! I also ordered their curry, which was solid. I will continue my search for Japanese curry for my go-to. Would definitely come back for their croissants!

Visited on 1/25/25! I absolutely love the strawberry croissants! It's a must when I'm in the area. I took a tray o these to a friends gathering. They loved them! The service is quick and if you go at the right time, you'll be in and out no problem. This place gets extremely busy as the day goes on and they sell out. It's a small place packed with some good sweets! The daily brewed coffee is good as well.

Wonderful selection. Great spot to Pick up a tray of pastries for party. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Good location hours.... open very early.

I've been a frequent customer for this bakery and every time I go, it's always a smooth process. The line is usually out the door but it's only because the store itself isn't very big. Otherwise, the line moves pretty fast because the workers are efficient. Pro Tip: if this is your first time visiting, I definitely recommend checking the menu before you come because if you hold up the line, the workers WILL pressure you to hurry along. So come prepared! There are a variety of delicious pastries and prices are reasonable. The chocolate horn, An donut, and tuna sandwich are some of my favorites. This bakery is always worth the drive.
