The gal working the counter at 5:45pm on 2/18/2020 was rude and indifferent to my question about a flavor and was more occupied by her phone. Perhaps train staff to be more friendly to customers.

I've had pleasant experiences at the CREAM location at Stonestown. When I stood in line on opening day, a perky woman helped break down the menu for me and even gave samples until I was ready to order. She was patient and professional, even though there were many customers in line. I visited CREAM a few more times after and each time, the employees behind the counter are helpful and sometimes strike up conversations. Obviously, like any employee working on their feet, they'd be cranky or worn out, but each time I've come here, they perk up and are ready to ring up an order.

It is an ok place for desert. The cookies were not very fresh or soft but the ice cream was pretty good. I had the peanut butter ice cream and Id go back for it again

Paul Vescera

Google
An Ok place for ice cream. They have a good variety of things to eat. I think they should not overwhelm the ice cream sandwich with too much ice cream or they should put a bigger cookie with it. Other than that, just ok.

I had the ice cream sandwich with warm oatmeal cookies sandwiching blueberry cheesecake ice cream and topped with crunchy almonds. Very nice and the staff was polite and efficient.

Seems overhyped the cookies look super stale and the ice cream is just good. Ice cream cookies look more interesting for Instagram or pinterest photos than eating.

Yelp
Ordered a BLT sandwich to go on the mobile app. Process was easy and the food was ready to pick up within a few minutes. Upon opening the food, it looked really sad LOL. Portion looked small and unappealing. With that said, at least it tasted decent. With so many other food options available here, I wouldn't get this again

Yelp
Lunch today is here!! Shake Shack, Stonestown. Today, my son said he wanted junk food, so we decided on this spot for lunch. I had the Truffle Shack Stack, my son went for the Chicken Burger, and my lovely wife chose the Shack Burger. We also got two orders of French fries. San Francisco is getting a bit tough to handle--with portions getting smaller and prices going up--but despite the smaller size, I still enjoyed my meal. My family seemed to enjoy theirs too, so it was a satisfying lunch!

Yelp
Check your bag before you leave if you order takeout. They either forget to add everything or give you someone's else's burger without fail whenever I place an order to-go. Also, I don't know what it is, but the fries are sometimes lukewarm or outright cold, and the burgers sometimes look like someone physically slapped the bun to make it flat, and the ingredients all look really poorly prepared, being thrown together haphazardly ; this is definitely the worst shake shack location I've visited and if you were to judge the entire franchise based off of this location, it would provide a very poor outlook.

Yelp
My second attempt to see why people are fans of this place. I tried their SmokeShack burger where I had coupon of buy one and get one free. It is a solid burger but it's just ok. I rank this burger chain in the middle. Not bad and not great. For sure their milkshake is great. I think most burger places do good in this area. I am thinking I want to give this palace another try to see is there's a burger here that can give me the wow knock me out of the ballpark feeling. Only their milkshake gives me that feeling.

Yelp
Ordered shake shack for lunch today as a delivery option on door dash. I was craving milk tea and door dash recommended shake shack's milk Thai tea shake so thought hm why not? I ordered the shroom burger which is a fried portobello mushroom patty with the lettuce, and bun and added on avocado and pickle chips. My greedy self also ordered the chicken bites -6 and crinkle cut cheese fries. The milk Thai tea shake was my favorite! It had whip cream, honey, Thai tea. And they provided a plastic straw which is so helpful for me! The shroom patty had a great crunch ratio! Probably for future reference be careful on what side to bite if you added a lot add ons because it was a messy experience. The chicken bites was salty and had a weird tang bitter flavor? So that left me Kind of disappointed but hopefully tomorrow as leftovers it will be better. The cheese from the cheese fries tasted plastic? The crinkle fries was crunchy and had a perfect salt ratio. The food was packaged in its cardboard containers inside a brown paper bag.

Yelp
Finally tried Shake Shack for the first time. I was at Stonestown San Francisco and decided to order a burger and milk shake to go just to compare with other burger places. The burger was tasty, and the shake was thick and juicy. The menu was on the pricy side. The location is outside the mall and the inside seems clean and organized. Service was efficient, you can order at the counter or the kiosks. Parking can be a problem depending on the time and day.

Yelp
McDonald's next to Trader Joe's in Stonestown Galleria was long gone. We may never know when that famous fast-food chain shall be coming back. Shake Shack, however, would continue to keep the business running as the only burger joint. Like Marugame, Shake Shack has a big enough space, with both indoor and outdoor seating. A staff member kindly delivered a meal to my table with a fair amount of time. But still, I rather use cash to pay to the cashier than my credit card for self service. Regular criss-cut French fries, non-dairy chocolate shake, and a nice Shroom Burger; a perfect health conscious trio! I wanted to try the Golden State Burger, but I'm not much of a beef guy. If anyone loves beef burgers, I say grass fed shall be the best choice. This type of beef is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and micronutrients. I might have one sometimes since I usually eat less meat and more greens. I have other eateries I wish to go to later on. But if it was Shake Shack I'll go to again, it'll be my modern day McDonald's that won't fail to please.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
This location seems steady busy but my big o party of 6 was able to get a table right away. Parking seems like it can be a mess. It was crackin when we got there, they had two kiosks open to take orders but the line was growing so they opened up a third kiosk and then had someone take orders. I got the black truffle burger and it was foire, go get it. I ordered the Parmesan truffle fries on the side and dems is good too! The fries are crispy and they served the sauce on the side so the whole table gotto enjoy it! My husband ordered their root beer which is hella good and I don't like root beer so they are doing something right!! Last mention is the burgers came out looking beat up- like they just smacked it together then smooshed them flat lol but that didn't matter bc the taste was perfect. Thank you shake shack for gettin me fed!

Jack R.

Yelp
Oh snap, this was awful. Why is fast food so darn expensive? Small Itty bitty burgers with no flavor. I bought the Asian burger which had onion strings and Asian sauce and honestly it tasted similar to the BBQ burger which had light sauce and bacon. Nothing like a soggy cold bun and soggy fries to boot. I ordered via mobile outside and it was still cold. Do they even make these burgers fresh to order? The fries were definitely NOT fresh. One meal for one person for around $30...I could have bought a real restaurant meal for these crazy prices!

Yelp
This was my second visit to this location. I had previously stoped by just because I was craving a shake - and wanted to see how their shakes were since that is in their name. This time I needed a bite to eat, so - let's see how their burgers are. I want to say first off - you can order via a screen but I prefer talking to a person. The young lady who took my order was very nice and pleasant to talk to. I just wanted a bacon cheeseburger - bun, meat, cheese and bacon. So I that is what I ordered. It is cooked to order, did not have to wait long, tho the place was fairly busy and in one of the few shopping centers/ malls that I've been in lately that was not dead - in fact very hopping. The meat in the burger was absolutely delicious - great beef flavor, cheese was good but only one strip of bacon - needs at least two. Over all very happy with the taste of the burger - it just seemed a bit too small - now I know why they asked if I wanted two beef patties. Now the shake was a good shake but honestly I think the shakes at IN-N-Out are better. The place was clean and it was a tad noisy but it was quite busy at around 8:30 pm. Overall I give the taste of the burger an A, the taste of the shake a B ( on a low carb diet so no fries - next time) . The prices were reasonable but serving size a bit small. One of the best things about eating here is - easy place to find parking - which is very important in San Francisco -

Yelp
I got the Smoke Shack which comes with cheese, a patty, cherry peppers, and bacon. Love the saltiness from the bacon and the spicy ness from the cherry peppers. I also got cheese fries which was so delicious! Simple and good & love the crinkle on the fries, it makes it more fun.

Yelp
Man, this Shake Shack definitely ain't like the other Shake Shacks I've been to. Came here one day after a morning of gawping at the red pandas at the zoo. Prior to this visit, I usually eat at Marugame Udon next door and I've always noticed this Shake Shack to be abnormally quiet. At the other Shake Shacks I've visited, there are always long lines consistently out the door with almost groupie-level customers. Not here. This time, though, I thought I'd break tradition and forego Marugame for this. When I entered, I noticed the layout was a bit strange: Not the usual spacious design of the other Shake Shacks. Also, since this location had previously been a gigantic Olive Garden, I wondered what happened to all the remaining space. Was it saved for the kitchen and storage areas? There were a couple customers already eating when I arrived. I got behind an ordering customer at the counter and took a look at the menu. When I got to the counter, I ordered an Avocado Bacon Burger, Fries, and a Diet Coke. Found a table and waited for quite a while. When my order was called, I went to get it and it looked a lot less enticing than I've seen at the other Shake Shacks. The bun almost looked like it was a week past the sell-by date. :-/ The build wasn't nearly as good as the other Shake Shacks I've visited (and those were far busier!). The good news was the fries were fresh & hot, and the drink had a healthy amount of fizz. All-in-all, I think I'll continue going to Marugame Udon.

Yelp
The food blows: barely warm. burgers and cold fries. Ok shakes, prices too high 4.79 for small fries The Habit and in-n-out are far superior!

Erika E.

Yelp
The milkshakes are soo good and the service was fast. It was a Typical busy shake shack

Jinnie L.

Yelp
The burgers are always delicious and I am never disappointed with the flavor. This time we tried the truffle burger and truffle mushroom burger and they were both great. Terrific texture and juicy meat. The buns are super fluffy and just enough to be full. I do wish they had more veggies but thats just my preference. I'm not a fan of the crinkle fries unfortunately they are on the dry side for me. My hubby likes their shakes and this time go the black and white. We order through Yelp and did pick up. The parking lot at the mall was pretty full but we found a spot after two rounds of searching. The food was ready when we arrived. Saves time and I appreciate the care they put in the packaging. Everything was still in place when we arrived home to eat dinner.

Yelp
I wish I would have looked at the reviews BEFORE I ordered. Cuz I see why they got 2.5 stars. Have you ever had a craving & was excited til you got the food; then you already know? First time AND last time here. I ordered the cheeseburger-the $9.39 cheeseburger & fries. Got the BIG ASS BAG, but it felt light as hell. I open it, pulled out the food, and no lie, I thought it was a kid's happy meal from McDonald's. This burger was NOT for a grown ass hungry woman. Opened the bun to see some pitiful tomatoes & wilted ass lettuce, and just a HINT of sauce. I had to add my own special sauce. Thank God I did! How are they still in business? Oh! I know! It is because they are serving the SF State kids whose palates are not sophisticated. ‍‍‍‍

Margie L.

Yelp
Ordered at the kiosk. Had the shack burger, which seems actually quite small and had the cheese fries. I would say the cheese they use on the fries is almost too good as it is very savory.

Atlas E.

Yelp
Even though this place is a fast food restaurant, it might have the best burger then a variety of expensive places. In most fast food places, you go get the food. Yet in this restaurant, the waiters BRING the food to you! Yet fast food, the ambiance of the place is beautiful and modern, and makes you feel nice and cozy.

Jerrold I.

Yelp
Why so many bad reviews? I get it, it's connected to a busy mall full of college students & other people of the city, but this place isn't bad. For what it is, it's still pretty good. I got the ShackBurger, BBQ fries w/ BBQ Sauce on the side, & a bottled water. The ShackBurger looked... not too great. It looked smushed, as a whole, not just the patty. Took smash burger to a new level. At first bite, I knew it was still good ole shake shack! It tasted great. I might even like it more than In-n-Out. The BBQ fries were also done well! They also didn't look too promising. Just fries with BBQ seasoning, but they were crispy & seasoned well! The BBQ seasoning was not too overpowering and the fries had the right amount of salt. Overall, for a busy city location, this place is still good. Low ratings from stressed out college students possibly? (No offense to them, I went to SFSU, too!)

Yelp
This is a new burger joint in Stone town shopping center. Have tried the burger joint in Vegas few years ago. That location had good size sandwich. I'm a little disappointed this time. There's no one at the counter to take your orders. You've to order from the kiosk at the counter. I ordered the chicken sandwich and the sandwich was so small & bun was tiny like the slider and I'm paying $10 for that. It was not worth it. Popeye has better chicken sandwich and only 1/2 the price.

Wendy H.

Yelp
We finally visited the shake shack after all the grand opening hullabaloo ended. Ordered a regular shake shack burger with fries. Burgers remind mod Steak and Shake. It's sort of a smashed patty. You can taste the beef on the burger. Cooked well without being burnt. Fries were the best crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We ordered from the kiosk but a server brought our food to us. Restaurant was clean. It's obvious staff wipes down the tables after people bus their own garbage. Food is pricey. This is a special treat

Miguel T.

Yelp
Okay, I can see why this place has low ratings, lol. I ordered two burgers with slight modifications, and it ended up being $26, excluding tip. The reason I still decided to get it is because I wanted to recall what Shake Shack sandwiches taste like, since it's been a minute since the last time I tried them. Food: The Chicken Shack sandwich tasted pretty good. The chicken was juicy and tender, and the seasoning was on point. The veggies were fresh and refreshing, providing a good balance with the chicken. The Shack Burger was also juicy and flavorful. The meat was savory, and it was cooked to my liking. The Chocolate Shake (malted) was the highlight of our visit, as I'm big on sweets and this drink definitely satisfied my cravings. The texture of the shake was great and easy to drink, with a balanced thickness. Service: The staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered using the monitors they had on the counters, which were pretty user-friendly and easy to navigate. Our sandwiches were customizable, but that meant we would have to spend more money on the add-ons. Ambience: The place was warm and had a modern look. The table my friend and I sat at was decently clean. It wasn't busy when we came, so there were plenty of available tables, and the seating areas were spacious. I'd recommend you to try this place at least once, especially their shakes (malted specifically).

Mike L.

Yelp
Dang...two and a half stars? Shake Shack, who did you hurt?? Or were all of those problems that I had heard about during those first few months just that bad? Oof. In all seriousness, while I never would have expected to see such a low rating for a Shake Shack, I can't say that I'm entirely shocked either. It kind of makes sense that there would be service issues, especially when they first opened, and that aspects of the place are starting to feel a little worn given all of the foot traffic that comes and goes here. However, criticism about uncleanliness and having only two kiosks for self-ordering? Yeah, that feels warranted (not to mention self-inflicted). Despite the poor rating, though, I couldn't not eventually make my way here, considering my love for Shake Shack and how dangerously convenient their newest SF outpost is. For the most part, just about everything looked and felt the same, with the exception of the menu, which included a few things I'd never seen before (specifically the Truffle Burger and Bourbon Bacon Jam Burger). I'm not sure if they are new additions everywhere or just location specific, but as tempting as they looked, I already knew before I walked in that I was going to be getting my go-to favorite. -- SHACK STACK - Cheeseburger Topped with a 'Shroom Burger, Lettuce, Tomato, and ShackSauce...$12.09 (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/shake-shack-san-francisco-9?select=BWQsphsUnFN7AWr15Il4dA) Still one of my favorite burgers around. The fried mushroom was just as crispy and cheesy as ever, the bun was just as soft, and the patty was just as juicy. A bit more veggies would've been nice, but this was still delicious as is. -- CHICKEN BITES - Crispy Whole White-Meat Bites...$5.39 (6 pcs) (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/shake-shack-san-francisco-9?select=KwR9DubRc1UylUXTqtiwrQ) On the one hand, these are done decently well - crispy on the outside, not overly battered, and moist on the inside. However, are these "bites" meant for children? Honestly, might as well spend $3 more for the Chicken Shack... -- COOKIES & CREAM SHAKE...$5.99 (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/shake-shack-san-francisco-9?select=2-7aoItOSQDnQRMPiZdfAg) My first time trying one of Shake Shack's shakes or concretes and it didn't disappoint! The consistency was a little thick, but it wasn't terrible and I liked how there were still some bits of Oreos blended in. As far as how service went for me, I actually thought everything was perfectly fine. Granted, ordering at the kiosk kept my interactions with the staff to a minimum, but my order came out relatively quick, my burger looked the same as how it has in the past, and everything seemed relatively clean. Plus, the two workers that I did end up talking to were both really friendly, so no problems there. If anything, the one thing that did give me pause was seeing how Shake Shack is starting to creep up in price. Obviously It's SF and inflation, believe it or not, is a thing, but $25+ for a burger, shake, and those chicken bites isn't an insignificant amount. Inevitably, though, I have little doubt I'll be back on more than a few occasions in the future. At the end of the day, my affinity for Shake Shack is still just as strong, the Shack Stack is still just as good, and the shake didn't let me down (*ahem*, chicken bites). It also doesn't hurt that they're open relatively late too, which isn't that common on this side of SF. All in all, THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded down for now (if not for those bites...).

Angelene C.

Yelp
I've only been to this location once, for dinner. It is clean, spacious, lots of seating, and plenty of staff working. I believe you can order at the front, but the kiosks are what everyone at the time I went was using. It was decently busy and there was only one kiosk working. The service was fine. I ordered the shack burger, fries, and a cookies and creme shake. Was good, nothing extraordinary about it - and I still prefer in in out! Would come back here if in the mood, but good experience overall.

Ellen H.

Yelp
After eating at Shake Shack in New York a few times, I was excited to see this location open up (even though it's replacing the Olive Garden, RIP). It's taken me a while to try it out, mostly because they only offered the portobello mushroom option to vegetarians. To be fair, the shroom burger is still way better than you'd expect, but it often is not what I want from a veggie burger. Lo and behold my prayers have been answered because now they have a veggie burger and it is goooooood. That sauce! The cheese! The pickles! It all comes together beautifully. Add some delicious crinkle fries to the mix and some strawberry lemonade and my taste buds were doing a little happy dance. There was a line out the door when we arrived which was surprising for Monday lunch hour, but all in all it progresses pretty quickly. Can definitely see how this would escalate during rush hours or weekends though. Service was very friendly and attentive. We totally misunderstood how to enter the right info to get the food brought to the table but that's a thing they do apparently, which is cool. Was also very clean during our visit. All in all we had a great experience and I'll be visiting more often.

Hope D.

Yelp
Came here late on a Friday night for to go, and it was super crowded. There is plenty of seating inside. There are two kiosks to order at, but there weren't any designated lines. I wasn't sure where to stand for to go ordered because there again, wasn't any designated lines. The burgers are pretty small considering the cost, and they don't come with any fries or drinks. Everything is al a carte. The smash burger was good though, delicious with pickles and extra sauce. The fries are also good, just regular crinkle cut.

Clarissa P.

Yelp
I do not get the hype with Shake Shack. The burgers are just okay & is pretty pricey. We spent about 32 on two burgers and one cheese fry. My husband and I came here for lunch on a Saturday and it was packed. Nowhere to sit inside so we ended up sitting outside. First of all, the self order screens and cash registers are way too close to each other, literally no space between you and the next person ordering. The tables are also way too close to each other, both inside and outside. Overall, this location is way too chaotic and they had our food sitting on the counter and we had to go and grab it ourselves. Do yourself a favor and go get in n out instead.

Organic Or Non Gmo T.

Yelp
Initial review: Golden State burger: Cons: Not enough garlic sauce, not big enough. Pros: not too salty, grass fed. Edit a few days later: Why increase price for grass fed Golden State Double to $13.49 from $12.49 a few days ago?? edit Maybe I was a little too harsh, so inc a star for offering 100% grass fed option!

Richard H.

Yelp
Came here wanting a double cheeseburger along with a large ice tea in which I dined in. Much to my dismay, they do not have any sweetener choices for the ice tea and only sugar? In addition, since they don't put out the sugar packets with the salt, pepper, napkins you have to ask for sugar after they bring out the food. Told my server and after a long wait, I ended up going to the counter when I had already finished my burger. Poor customer service and will not be back!

Maricel P.

Yelp
This was my first time trying SS ever and it was just okay for me. The truffle burger was delicious, but what made me rate it a little bit less was because it was super duper greasy. I had to wipe my mouth after every bite. My husband was telling me this place supposedly rivals In n Out and if SS was a little less greasy then I would probably rate SS a little higher than INO. If you love buttery bread then this is the spot. They have delicious food, but I can't see myself eating this multiple times a month. They have a self service order when you first walk in to your right. You can either order up front or use the self service machines. Our first time there and we ended up using the self service machines and it was not user friendly haha. We didnt know we had to grab a number and they should indicate that somewhere. So if it's your first time, don't forget your number. The place stays pretty consistent with customers and it's busy, but the line moves along. If you're in a rush, it's no problem because you won't wait for a long time. The place was clean when we visited. It's not too busy or too loud. I would like to come back again to check it out to see if it was just greasy that one time or to order something else on the menu. I would recommend this place for you to try.

Ruby R.

Yelp
Terrible. We ordered and they asked for our name. 10 min later I go up to the counter and ask for the status and the girl had my bag and was waiting for us. Is that not why you ask for our name? Didn't call it once. Just waiting their wide eyed like she was on something. Food order was wrong. Second time they got the order wrong. They need to train these people more.

Monica W.

Yelp
We finally got to try out Shake Shack at the Stonestown location. When they first opened up, the lines were out the door and we decided we wanted to visit once the wait dies down. You walk-in and you can either order from the counter or through the touch screens they have. My husband and I decided to share a burger and we got Avocado Bacon Burger & some fries and small drink. We paid for our meal and it was close to $20. It's definitely not a place I'd go often spending that much for burger and fries. We found a table and waited for our order. We waited about 10 minutes. The burger was super small first of all. It's not as filling either if you don't order fries on the side lol. The avocado and bacon was okay and there was nothing special. Fries was okay too. I think I prefer more crispy fries from In N Out. Overall we thought it was overpriced and nothing special. We'd prefer to go to In N Out for a better quality and more affordable food.

Yousef S.

Yelp
intressting the food was good its not moldy or burned it deserves five star my mom cant buyed me and i am super hungry theres no food in my fridge haha

Andrea H.

Yelp
Shake Shack makes consistently good burgers, sandwiches, and fries. I had an avocado bacon chicken sandwich with cheese fries. Service was quick, and my food was brought to my table. They even came by to refill my soda. The only thing that could've been improved would be if there was more avocado on the sandwich. The ambiance is good overall. They could use a bit more seating, as it can get busy and crowded.

Shelley T.

Yelp
First of all I'd like to say that the workers were attentive and doing their jobs well. Also for once I thought the fries were really good. Normally I think they're boring but these fries seemed to have more squiggly surface area so they were crispier. The problem I have with Shake Shack that was the same at another SF location is that they give you so little lettuce and tomato. Like the thinnest lettuce and the smallest tomatoes, yet there was like five thick rings of raw onion. The bun is also too soft to hold up the burger so overall it's not well balanced. The "Shake Sauce" is literally just a thick mayo with no other discernible flavor. We also tried the white truffle burger, which flavor-wise was not bad but there were no vegetables so it was gooey and soft from the bun. Again, no balance. I don't know why they are so popular and popping up at every mall in the Bay Area but the burgers that I've had here are underwhelming. Also, the bench in the center moves every time someone gets up and sits down, which was annoying. The side booths were only slightly better, they are still connected so it moves when the person behind you moves.

Jolens V.

Yelp
The hamburger here is so. Good . I love the truffle burger. The store is nice and spacious . The service could be better. It is great that they are here . Mc Donald's fries are greatly missed by me .

Lisa Z.

Yelp
Throwback to the time when I was so desperate to have Shake Shack.. the first thing I ate when I landed in Vegas. Shake Shack has been expanding all over the Bay Area and it's getting closer and closer to me. Sooner or later, I'll probably end up live next to one. LOL My go-to is usually their Shroom Burger. I love fries but I'm not really a huge fan of crinkle cut fries.. I've given them so many chances but I cant find myself to like them. From waiting in line to waiting for the food, it took about 30 mins in total. They only had one kiosk working at the time which is a bummer. Overall 3.5/5 for me. 12.28.2022 | Wednesday @7:00pm

Yelp
New Shake Shack opened in Stonestown Galleria. First time for me at a Shake Shack so I figured I HAD to get a shake, right? We got the Chicken Shack, Shroom Burger and the Dreamscicle shake. The Shroom burger wasn't really a burger but a mushroom battered and deep fried topped with cheese, lettuce and tomato. It was pretty small for the $8.69 price. The Chicken Shack ($8.39) wasn't any better- chicken breast, battered and deep fried but it wasn't dry. The Dreamscicle shake ($6.69) was thick and creamy but I didn't taste any orange, just cream. All in all, it was a pretty overpriced disappointing meal. But to be fair, we didn't get the burgers.

Yelp
Tasty and overpriced. The shrinkflation is real. I only eat shake Shack once every few years. This chicken sandwich was about the size of a McDonald's McChicken sandwich at about 3x the cost. Granted it was fresh and crispy, I don't think it has value. The fries were crispy and tasty, but $4.20 for a small portion. So, if you have lots of cash to burn and want to burn it on fast food, check out this place.

Yelp
Shake Shack in Stonestown is finally open! They had a 1 day private event earlier today but they will open their doors to the public on Thursday, 12/22/22. It was my first time to try the Shake Stack which is basically like the Shack burger but with breaded portobello mushroom stuffed with gooey cheese. I liked the added crunch to a rather juicy patty, soft potato buns and mushy stretchy cheese combo. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Just a few kinks here and there since it's literally just the 1st hour being open. They mixed up our milkshakes which they immediately fixed and replaced. Noticeably this location has no condiments station (yet?), only tap water and paper cups. No self-service soda fountain as well. Thank you Shake Shack for a lovely preview of the new location. I'll be back for sure when the hype dies down.

Yelp
I have to say that I've been waiting for this moment for so long!! No more going down south or going deep into the city for Shake Shack now. Sad to say that we had to sacrifice Olive Garden for burgers. This is located right next to Marugame where the old Olive Garden was at. There's plenty of parking around, but since it's still in the midst of holiday season, Stonestown can get super busy. I have to say that this location is small and didn't take up the whole space. I believe they might be adding something right next to it (my guess is around 1). There is a pick-up window out in front, as well as outdoor seating. There is 1 main line, but it does split into two for the mobile kiosk or an actual cashier. My fiancé and I went to the kiosks since we've been to shake shack plenty of times before, so we knew what we wanted. We both ordered the shack stack w/cherry peppers and 2 sides of fries. I did add onions too, but I confused them for grilled ones for some reason haha. Our total came out to be near $30-40 I believe. I have to say that when my fiancé and I went on opening day, everything was well organized and super clean. The workers were very attentive and I didn't realize they brought your meals to your table. My fiancé was waiting by the pick up area bc that's usually what we do after we get the text message. The worker we got asked us if we wanted any sauces and made sure to check up on us throughout our meal. I wasn't so sure if that was just an opening day thing, but it made our visit so much better. Our food came out done well, but it wasn't as fresh as we usually get it. We usually get the portobello mushroom patty super hot where the cheese burns your mouth first contact. It was at a nice room temperature, but the cheese was still gooey. Regardless, it tasted great! Overall, great experience on opening day!! My fiancé and I will be coming to this location more since it's so much closer to us.

Yelp
Shack burgers - check! Crinkle-cut fries - check! Milkshakes and floats - check! Thank you Shake Shack for coming to Stonestown Galleria! I believe this is their 3rd location in SF so far and 9th location across the Bay Area. A huge THANKS to their Marketing Team for hosting a Friends & Family Day today (12.20.22) to allow us to preview the new space before their official opening on Thursday, 12.22.22. This new location has been boarded up for months, with many people walking by everyday wondering what will be taking over the old Olive Garden space. While Shake Shack is not taking over the entire restaurant space, they transformed a good chunk of it to make it their new Shake Shack location with both indoor and outdoor dining. Situated right next to Marugame, it's a great location with a lot of open space and plenty of foot traffic. Like most of their Northern CA locations, they will be offering their selection of various Shack burgers from single to double as well as their vegetarian shroom burger, along with their flat dogs, crinkle-cut fries with cheese, bacon + cheese, or good old regular crinkle cut fries. While their shakes menu will just be offering their regular flavors (such as Black & White, Strawberry, Cookies & Cream)...we were told that none of their seasonal holiday flavors will be offered at this location for the time being. They are definitely looking to expand once they figure out their groove but as far as their tasty Concrete goes, there's no plans to bring them back (just yet). The Mr. was so bummed upon hearing about it, All and all, it was a great event tonight and all of our tummies left very full. Service was friendly and attentive, we were asked several times by multiple different workers if everything was ok and if they can throw our trash out. Thank you Shake Shack for such a memorable evening. We wish you great success at this new location!

Yelp
An easy choice for the team after a hoop tournament. Kids always happy with their food, and environment is good for the kids (and adults) to have conversation. Easy to order, easy to get seating for a group, and efficient service. Bathrooms were a pretty nasty though.

Yelp
Staff were super welcoming today and it's the grand opening. Kiosks were available for ordering or you can order at the counter. They ask for your cell number during ordering, so they can text you to collect your food at the counter when it's ready. Crinkle fries and burgers were delicious. Nice addition to Stonestown. Tip - purchase $25 gift card and get $5 free online.

Yelp
We went here around 2:40pm on a Sunday and there was about a 5 minute wait in line. We ordered at the tablets which are placed at a tiny corner by the door and it felt too crowded since other customers were constantly bumping into me since the tablets were not spaced far enough. We ordered two ShackBurgers, a Bacon & Cheese Fries, and a Cookies & Cream Hand-Spun Shake. I really enjoyed eating the Bacon & Cheese Fries since the fries remained crispy the whole time I ate it even though it is covered in cheese sauce. The milkshake was good too and I like how thick it was without the consistency being too thick to drink. I'd recommend this place! All the food I got that day was good and I actually liked the bacon and cheese fries at this location more than other Shake Shack locations I've been to. The main thing I would change about this location would be where the tablets are placed and the distance between the tablets.

Yelp
3.5/5 Really taste the flavor of the burger. Not having sauce loaded on it brings out the raw flavor of the beef. Ingredients definitely do feel fresh and it's a mean ol butger. A little expensive compared to our in n outs. Quality of the burger definitely higher but the trade off is its a lot more expensive. Worth it? Think I still prefer the cheaper late night in-n-out burgers after a night of activities

Yelp
Food is good but expensive. I got the fries and a burger with bacon and cherry peppers? That's what the menu said. It was good, a little spicy. The burger was good. I'd get it again. Water is self serve to the left of the cashier. The layout is questionable, the back has a lot of well spaced seats, and the front has tables cramped so close together than you can't get inside unless you put your butt on someone else's table. There's a cashier and self order machines as well. Bathroom is clean but the counter where the sink was was all wet.

Yelp
Why is Stonestown Shake Shack rated 2.6 stars? Ah-ha... I know now. We've ordered for pick-up 3 times from this location, and all 3 times, our orders were incorrect... how is it possible to make a mistake on your standard items by forgetting key ingredients like cheese and sauce on your burgers? Food is consistent with other locations, yet attention to order details, quality control, and customer service need additional training.
