Creamy Boys Ice Cream

This ice cream was so delicious! It was probably the smoothest, creamiest ice cream I’ve ever had, and the flavors were simple but very good. The owner was very nice too, I’m so glad he brought New Zealand ice cream here. I can’t wait to go back to try the boysenberry!

My friend and I were just causally walking down Hermosa Beach when our attention was brought to this ice cream shop and its grand opening. And boy, we were so lucky that we decided to try this out! New Zealand style ice cream is so unique, from how they make it to their flavors! And as a bonus, they have a vegan non-diary option for all their flavors! Using a tapioca base, the vegan ice cream is just as delicious as the diary counterpart. Highly recommend this new gem and enjoy by the beach!

Creamy Creamy ice cream! Love the New Zealand Style, i think the small cup is also good enough for dessert! I loved the crunchy toppings as well! But it melts real quick, make sure grab a spoon and tissue!

This was my first time trying their icecream and wow it is so delicious! I tried their Homey Pokey, which has crunchy honeycomb toffee blended with vanilla icecream and sprinkles on top. It was sweet and crunchy! I look forward to trying their Mixed Berry and their banana flavors.

Pleasantly surprised by my first time having New Zealand style ice cream. They have 5 menu options ranging from banana to -what I highly recommend- their hokey pokey, which is vanilla base ice cream with toffee. Their banana flavor was so-so. It felt like it was lacking something and perhaps they can offer the option to add cinnamon as a topping. There weren’t any toppings offered and I’m guessing it may be that they’re purists with regards to their dessert and want the customer to enjoy the ice cream as is, which I can appreciate, but at the same time I was really craving some cinnamon for my Banana flavored ice cream. The Hokey Poke comes with toffee topping and it is by far their best flavor and I highly recommend it. The ice cream is very smooth, rich and flavorful. The kids cup is $6 and really hits the spot! They have a small seating area with corn hole. No heaters so if you’re out on a cold night, bring a sweater. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience. Tl;dr Rich and creamy ice cream. Hokey Pokey is the best flavor. No options for toppings but still great. Vegan options.

Happened upon Creamy Boys while eating at Slice and Pint (also great!) and WOW. Creamy boys exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be back!!!

If I’m feeling extra fruity, I’ll sub the pavlova for extra berries. I haven’t had a flavor I didn’t enjoy and I’m sure you won’t either. You can’t go wrong here though. Walk up to the window, place your order and with in minutes you'll be enjoying a cup or cone of this creamy ice cream. I chose a small cup of multiberry vegan ice cream. To clarify, I'm not vegan although I prefer not to include most dairy in my diet. The cream was refreshing with bits of crushed fruit, the flavor very mild. The small portion is very generous at $7.00. Street parking can be challenging especially on the weekends.

Waited ~15 minutes in line on Sunday night at 7:30 PM. Got the Hokey Pokey, which is advertised as a unique New Zealand flavor. I liked the crunch of the honeycomb toffee, and it was both blended throughout and sprinkled on top of the vanilla ice cream. The regular is definitely large enough for two people to share, or I would get the kid size if you're eating it yourself. Street parking.

Wasn't sure if this place was going to be for me cause I love traditional ice cream but creamy boys is legit. Got the hokey pocket. Not too sweet excellent texture. I definitely loved this one The mixed berry was good also but the seeds definitely get stuck in your teeth so next time I'll get the strawberry. Fun spot to check out with an amazing product

They can make all the flavors vegan (with trace amounts of dairy) and the Honey flavor was my favorite. This is a must visit if you like dessert and are in the area. Their merch is also excellent

I came here for an evening dessert bite and my friend and I decided on the Hokey Pokey since it was a NZ favorite! It was good but the crispy topping was really sweet, even for someone with a sweet tooth like me. We got the regular size to share between the both of us, but I wish I had gotten the smaller size instead. It was just too much sweet in such a large cup. They had other flavors like berry and banana - I think I'll get those instead next time. The server was nice and had our order ready for us pretty quick. I liked that this location had a few outdoor seats. It's maybe not the best place for a large group to hang out but for smaller dates it would be perfect.

You know what happened here. So creamy, New Zealand got something special. They aim to please in a fun atmosphere. Top service.

SO GOOD!! My friend and I came here for a dessert run on a Sunday night around 8:30pm, and the place was poppin'! There was a long line but it moved fast. I got the Hokey Pokey in a cup, and she got the Hokey Pokey in a waffle cone. Their name "Creamy" fits their ice cream! It was creamy, and a great texture. The Hokey Pokey is soft serve vanilla ice cream, topped with a honeycomb toffee crunch. It was so delicious. It also wasn't too sweet which I appreciated! Can't wait to come back to try some of their other flavors!

Great place if you are a soft serve lover. Real ingredients and great tasting. Know they only have 3-5 flavors. But there will be a flavor you love. My favorite is the banana. It doesn't taste like fake banana because they use actual bananas to mix in. So creamy. So delicious. Pumpkin pie was the Featured fall flavor and it was fantastic! Just south of Pier Ave. Look for the pink corner with a window. A little pricey, but worth it.

Such a cute ice cream spot. Given the location it was a crowded but line went fast. They had interesting flavors. Everyone got something different and enjoyed them all. Definitely a must try if you are in the area.

Best ice cream in hermosa! I have been eyeing this place on yelp because of how creamy it looked in pictures. This is a cute little ice cream stand with a few benches for you to sit. The ice cream exceeded my expectations. I got the regular Hokey Pokey - I finished it in minutes! I am in love. I plan to come back real soon! Since it is next to the pier, parking may be difficult! I had the pleasure of working with Moreah and Joe from Creamy Boys Ice Cream for our Kaiser Permanente West LA event, and they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. From planning to execution, their team was professional, responsive, and a breeze to work with. Joe and his team showed up on time, set up effortlessly, and were fully prepared to serve a crowd. Their positive energy and friendly service really added to the overall experience, making the event even more enjoyable. DELICIOUS ICE CREAM! The hokey pokey was the crowd pleaser. We also had mixed berry and banana and a vegan option. Some of our guests tried all 3! Despite the high demand, the team kept the line moving efficiently while keeping the vibe fun and engaging. I highly recommend Creamy Boys Ice Cream. They were a fantastic addition to our luncheon, and we will absolutely work with them again in the future!

It's good. I got the Hokey Pokey which was a bit too sweet for my taste. My mom got the Mixed Berry and it was really good, so I think their fruit flavors are the way to go! The service was OK. It seems the two workers wanted to finish their conversation before taking our order, so we were just standing there for a bit. When I started to order, I asked for a regular cup, but asked to change to a small/kids after seeing they offered that. The guy taking my order paused to look up at me and gave me an annoyed look because the worker in the back already started prepping our order. I hadn't even finished ordering and was not even at the stage of paying yet, so that was strange.

I recommend creamy boys. They have great flavors. Everything is very tasty and the customer service is amazing. They also offer catering for events. If you're in the area you need to stop by here specially on a hot day. Ambience is very cute .

first time trying new zealand ice cream... so worth it!! the shop is tiny and there's not an inside seating area so if the weather's cold; not ideal!! the worker was nice and friendly! i tried the hokey pokey and it was rly good! the portions are big and the ice cream is heavy so i'd say if you are getting dessert after a meal, get the kid's size!!

Absolutely loved this place!! Got their Hokey Pokey and wild berry and wow.. texture of the ice cream was really creamy and the flavors were so good! Not overly sweet! Their ice creams were on the lighter side which I really liked! Couldn't get enough of it!

Delicious! We got the Hokey Pokey, kids size. Note: Kids size has a generous portion enough for 2 people. Cost $6. The toffee bits are delicious. The ice cream is on the creamier side and I love the outside ordering so I can eat with my dog :) They have a seasonal flavor, mango. Will be back to try the banana!

Incredibly creamy ice cream! Those toffee honey comb crisps are fantastic and adds a nice crunch and sweetness! This is a New Zealand style ice cream spot, and I'm not sure what that means, but I heard a New Zealander (maybe Australian lol) walk by and said "this is fantastic that they have this here!" So this spot is (potentially) endorsed by locals LOL

It's a trendy New Zealand style ice cream place, and they have local store and ice cream truck serving at local events. I've had their Mixed Berry and Hokey Pokey, which is honeycomb toffee blended through vanilla ice cream and shaken on top, both were great. The small size costs $6, and the large size costs about $8.

My boyfriend has been wanting to take me here for months, and we finally decided to go. I have to say it's some of the best ice cream I've ever had. I got the one with the honeycomb toffee, and the crunch of the toffee was absolutely amazing. The ice cream was so creamy and had the best flavor. It's the cutest little store, but I felt really bad because there was only one worker doing the till as well as making all the ice cream. There was a decently long line for how small the shop was. Parking and location are not ideal but since we were out at the bars we decided to drop by on our way home. I am obsessed and will 100% be back again.

This location is a takeaway spot serving their delicious frozen treats from a window. There is seating nearby but on a busy weekend or evening you may have to search for a place to sit. From this spot you have a peakaboo view of the ocean while you eat your treat. They usually feature Just a few flavors as everything is made fresh. Their signature flavor is the Hokey Pokey and it's amazing. The creamy texture is offset by the crunchy toppings. The portions are also very generous so you may be able to get by with a small or child size. This place is worth the trouble of fighting for a parking space near the beach.

I crave this ice cream!! The Hokey Pokey is my absolute favorite, delicious vanilla soft serve sprinkled with sugar crumbed honey comb. This is almost just an ice cream stand / pick up window but there is a bench you can eat at right off the sidewalk. There are seasonal flavors - I've tried the pumpkin which is good, but still can't compare to Hokey Pokey. Supposedly there is a vegan option.

I've never had New Zealand style ice cream, but had Hokey Pokey once from Wanderlust Creamery. The texture and flavor is amazing! Super creamy - almost soft serve/froyo like and the honeycomb toffee on top of the vanilla ice cream is divine. Kiddies size is a decent portion. No samples, but can add two diff flavors for a swirl. My friend got banana and berry and you can really taste both in the swirl. The cutest walk up shop and enjoy your ice cream along Hermosa Pier. Also perfect for vegans bc they offer all their flavors in non-dairy form (using a tapioca base).

Generous portions right next to the beach makes this a perfect spot to get ice cream when you're around hermosa beach. The name is always incredible. I'm a certified cream boy lover. Highly recommend their strawberry which has chunks of strawberry in it. Storefront also has some seating by its cashier so if you wanted to sit for a moment you can do that as well!

You don't know how long I've been trying to find one of my favorite ice cream flavors in the world! I went to New Zealand for my honeymoon and discovered the HOKEY POKEY!!! I used to be able to find this flavor at some grocery stores and even a New Zealand ice cream company in downtown LA. So happy to have found this spot!

The absolute best ice cream on the planet. First tried creamy boys when they were catering an event and I fell in love. It's New Zealand ice cream so the berries are mixed in with the cream per order. Truly a different type of ice cream I recommend everyone to try. Very creamy and a true treat

It was an ice cream for dinner kind of night and Creamy Boys was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to stop. He had the regular-sized Mixed Berry and I ordered the small Hokey Pokey. For the mixed Berry, Creamy Boys mixes a big cup of fresh berries in the creamy ice cream. It was delicious but the Hokey Pokey is what it's all about. The crunchy honeycomb toffee is a perfect mix-in for the creamy vanilla ice cream and the small size was a generous portion. Location is great near the Hermosa Pier and service was quick.

The best in South Bay! The name of their business truly reflects the texture. Oooo so creamy. A must try for your first time is their Mixed Berry flavor. They blend in real fruits making it super creamy and refreshing. Not too sweet & keeps you wanting more.

CREAMY BOYSSSSSSSS! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! we've been coming here since this location opened. We try and come once a week after work -- sometimes more. Matthew sold us with his super warm personality and then we got sucked in by the product! I am vegan and this is by far the best vegan ice cream I have ever had. The tapioca cream makes the dessert SO SMOOTH! I am the also the only vegan in my family -- my family are huge fans of the regular milk option. Whenever we have family or friends from out of town we try and bring them here. They all have had the same first bite reaction -- they throw their heads back and say WOW!! THATS GOOOOOD! Its smooth and creamy but still light. No heaviness. My go-to flavor is to mix strawberry and banana! Yes, you can mix it up! SECRET MENU! They have limited time flavors .. Matcha was my favorite so far! The ice cream is good but the service is what keeps us coming back! If you enjoy ice cream .. I highly recommend trying this place out!

We went to the Creamy Body's food truck at the Jackalope Market in Burbank and the ice cream was so good! Nice and creamy, but not overly sweet. The fruit flavors definitely tasted like real fruit in the mixed berry. But the real star was the Hokey Pokey flavor! The crunch of the honeycomb candy was perfect. The staff were super friendly and seemed high energy even after a few hours in the sun during a busy market. There was a little confusion when picking up our order, I wish they did a number system. Initially, someone else took out ice cream when it came out! But no worries, the staff remade our order without any issues.

Creamy boys catering is awesome!! They are super easy to arrange and such a friendly team. All the kids (and adults) loved the ice cream at my kids bar mitzvah, especially the hokey pokey topping! Highly recommend for any event, even during the winter!!

So good. I looove New Zealand ice cream and creamy boys did not disappoint. I got their Hokey Pokey cone to share with my boyfriend and we loved it. The regular sized cone is more than enough for one or two to share. The Hokey Pokey flavor is perfect and they top with little crumbles of deliciousness. I think you can get a whole pint for $9(?) which I will certainly be doing. So happy this place opened in hermosa.

We got mango and a vegan Hokey Pokey Ice Cream. Both were good but were 'missing' something, not sure exactly what. The man who took our order was friendly, responded to questions my wife had and was helpful to others while were waiting. The stand is on the street and the area where tables to sit didn't seem available as all the seats were on top of the table, so missed the opportunity to sit and enjoy both the ice cream and people walking by.

Took my kid on a cold Saturday night. Our first time here. It was sooo good. The texture is creamy and smooth and the banana flavor was fresh and not too sweet. Staff were nice. Can sit on the stairs nearby to enjoy.
