I needed a special cake for a 70th birthday. All I said was “can you make something with a flamingo somehow? They said yes & we discussed no further details other than flavor. Surpassed our expectations! Thank you!

Oh my goodness these ladies are a life saver!!!!! It was last minute ordering a burn away cake for my daughter's birthday AND THEY MADE IT!!! charged me a fraction of what other people were charging as well.. and to top it off they were so sweet and polite. I will DEFINITELY be going back to them for any future orders!

I asked for a cake for my mom’s birthday and when they asked for the theme I told them and they asked what I wanted and told them surprise me! They did not disappoint it was a beautiful cake and bigger than expected haha!! No complaints about that though! Would highly recommend!!:))

The cake was beautiful and cookies were exactly how i wanted them for my daugthers baby shower.Got a alot of compliments on cake and cookies and the cake tasted great.One friend said i found a great cake shop.Had my shower in the city and was asked where did i get the cake from cause they loved the cake.

I apologize to Creative Cakes that I didn’t do this review sooner, but you know how busy life gets. It will be 3 years in June that my daughter had her wedding and we gave Creative Cakes a picture of how we wanted her wedding cake and OMG !!! It came out gorgeous it was beautifully done and more than we expected. We also called back later a month before the wedding cause we decided to do a grooms cake also we just talked over the phone and explained what we wanted and it also turned out awesome ! Both cakes were so delicious. My daughter and are expecting a baby in August and I’m going to contact Creative Cakes to do the baby shower cake. Our wedding cake came out perfect! She was able to do it on two weeks notice. It also was super fresh and tasted really good. I was impressed, I’m glad we went with them!

Needed a Birthday Cake. I submitted a photo of a cake I wanted it to look like.They immediately told me they could make it for me. It ended up looking just like the cake I wanted.They did A Fantastic Job!!! And it was Delicious too!. Everyone Loved it.Thank You Creative Cakes!

5 dozen cookies ordered and delivered on very short notice Each cookie, perfectly decorated and amazingly tasteful, bagged with care even matched our school colors without my requesting. Also, a buttermilk pie that was beyond delicious. Definitely try this bakery. You will not be disappointed simply amazing.!!

Didn't secure cake very well not in a box that covered the entire cake! The cake box is too small I'm not happy. I will not be going here again! Too much money paid out for this!!!!

Creative Cakes has become my go to when I need sweets. Just one block from my house, there is always a great selection of cupcakes, cake balls, and cookies. And they are definitely cheaper than the other bakeries in town. Anytime there is a special occasion, I stop by after work and pick up something special for that special person. I have 2 older neighbors, Linda and Susan, who are very special to me. Sometimes I'll pick up a dozen cake balls and a dozen cookies. We each get 4 cookies and 4 cake balls. My favorite cake balls are the peanut butter, salted caramel, and the Italian cream. My favorite cookies are the macadamia white chocolate and the coconut pecan. I just discovered the coconut pecan and they are incredible! Don't expect me to share! But I will, lol. Next time your sweet tooth starts talking to you, this is the place!

This is the 3rd cake I have ordered from this bakery in the past year. The most recent one was a unicorn cake for my daughter's birthday. It was beautiful! The buttercream was light and the perfect amount of sweet. The cake was fresh and moist. It tasted great. I was very happy with this cake and I'll be back. It was easy to order and pick up too.

Placed an over the phone order from out of town. They did an excellent job putting together my request and making it affordable.

I've ordered two cakes from here. They are absolutely fabulous! I ordered the peanut butter one and I ordered a chocolate with buttercream icing. Everyone complimented both cakes. Service was quick and the price is very reasonable. I've been very, very happy with the product and service.

I highly recommend Creative Cakes of Abilene! I was very pleased with my order and the excellent quality of the cake design and taste. They also offer top notch catering service for the holidays!

I want to thank the staff for saving my sons wedding day. We picked up the cake a few hours before the wedding but when we checked the cake after a short drive we noticed the top layers had slid off the bottom. We arrived back at the store less than an hour before they closed but they assured us they could fix it. They worked for several hours after they closed to fix the wedding cake and then delivered it just before the ceremony started. They truly went above and beyond to help us! Also the cake was delicious! Highly recommend them for all your cake needs.

They made a beautiful cake for my proposal. Fast turnaround time, great communication, price was affordable. I highly recommend them!

Got a cake for my son in law with a photo on top. The photo was printed with the picture so dark you could barely see it. Then all our other decoration requests were ignored. Her reasoning? since the photo was so dark she didn't think the cake needed any more color! Thank God we picked it up early as we were able to run to the store and get icing and the items we needed to fix the cake before the party. It looked awesome after we decorated it! I just don't get the arrogance of someone who thinks they can not do what we ask because they could get the picture we sent (which was NOT dark!) to print out clearly!

I have waited three years to have one of creative cakes red velvets cupcakes! We ordered some for a party and they were old, dry and hard! I was so disappointed and really upsetting because they used to be amazing.

I ordered a small 6 inch round double layer cake for our anniversary and it was delicious! It was also a very good price, only $14.99. I left the decorating up to them and it turned out very nice. I'll be getting more cakes from them in the future!

We booked them for our wedding, and we were so disappointed in their customer service and how they treated us. When we went in for the tasting they just left us only and only let us try three flavors. Then they didn't discuss ideas, dazed or shapes with us or show us any of the cakes they've made before. We ended up cancelling our booking and using a different bakery. They also kept the $50 deposit, which they had never told us was none refundable. Definitely we not use them again or recommend them.

Well if u looking for fresh cupcakes an cake,an cake balls u won't find it here,unless u ask them to cook it right then an there. I ordered 3 different cupcakes an i was told not to eat it now cause it was cold an hard. So i waited to i got home got me sum milk an starting to eat.an i have to say they was still hard. but not cause they was cold because they was old an dry them cupcakes tasted like it was sitting out for a week atleast. it was so dry i needed water to rinse it down. I will not go back here for anything.they selling old unfresh stuff ill rather go to walmart or heb the stuff more fresher there.

They provided an excellent chocolate cake for my mom's birthday. It tasted like it was homemade, was very nicely decorated, and was quite reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and easy to work with. I recommend them very highly!

We ordered a birthday cake. White cake and white bakery icing with yellow flowers. The entire thing was very good except the preference would be for vanilla flavoring and not almond. That said, I can understand the other very negative reviews because of our first visit some months ago. They had very few things to pick from, but we did get a couple of cupcakes and some cookies. All very dry and hard. So sorry you had things left over, but you cannot just put them out for the unsuspecting to buy and expect to have a successful business with good reviews. Really wanted this birthday cake from The Flour Shop, but they are closed.

Came in on Friday, was greeted almost immediately. She was very nice and we told her it was our first time in. We asked about the cake pops and cupcake flavors. She was very polite, we talked about a birthday cake being done in August. The cake pops were very delicious and the cupcake was not dry or heavy with buttercream frosting. Will definitely come back and get more treats. Left very happy.

Whatever you do, do NOT use Creative Cakes for a wedding. As an out of town customer, I made an appt. with Creative Cakes for a tasting. My daughter and fiance decided on a cake to feed 200 people. To my surprise the quote given to us was $804.00. $804.00 for a CAKE! I was humiliated and embarrassed, but went ahead with the order, giving Gloria $300.00 cash for a partial payment. I had to sign a contract, and was never given a copy of the contract, and had to ASK for a receipt for the $300.00 cash. The receipt was a hand written note. We called later that day to cancel the order, and had to leave a message as the store was closed. My daughter went back the next week and asked what could be done within the $300.00 monies that had already been provided. They said they could do a cake that would feed about 95 people for that amount. If we wanted to cancel the order they would keep $50.00 as it was non-refundable, EVEN if we called that same day to cancel the order and the wedding is not until over 1 month away. My daughter found another cake company that would make a cake to feed 95 people, but the price was $75.00 less than the one quoted by Creative Cakes. So, since our money was being held HOSTAGE by Creative Cakes, we had no choice but to do business with them. Needless to say I will never set foot into that business and highly recommend anyone in Abilene, or out of town, do the same.

Walked in wanting a very nice birthday cake for my daughter's birthday. Was halfway acknowledged by someone in the kitchen and finally approached and asked what I wanted. Not how are you today or how may I help you but what do you want. After briefly explaining what I wanted in my cake and having drawn it out for a nice and easy representation, I was cut off and told to hold on. She then came back and told me the price of the cake and proceeded to speak to the customers behind me. Never asking if I needed any further help. After leaving I headed over to Misty's on s 14th where she was very busy but still quick to acknowledge me and very polite in stating that she was going to be busy for quite some time. I refuse to go back to creative cakes. Their service is very unprofessional and not worthy of good business.

This review has been a long time coming and should've been written a year ago. I am fixing to order another one of my daughter's birthday cakes from them and decided I needed to finally give my review! Last year for my daughter's first birthday, I had a birthday cake disaster at another bakery in town that was suppose to make my daughter a camo birthday cake (her name is Hunter) hence the camo, I brought in a design and everything and the other bakery said they could do it no problem and it would be perfect. I went in on that Thursday to pick it up before the party on Saturday and almost started to cry or laugh I wasn't sure which I wanted to do when they brought the cake out. It literally looked like my daughter had done the artwork on the cake herself and looked nothing like the design I had brought in or even camo at that, it was a forest possibly with a target on top of some of the trees on one side and it was just BAD. I'm not a picky mom, I would've understood if it didn't look exactly like the design, but at least similar and at least look professional. So I immediately started calling around to pay whatever price it would take to make another cake at that point I didn't care long as we could have one done that would look presentable for her first birthday. That first one is a pretty big deal and there were a lot of guests that would be seeing this cake. I was able to contact Creative Cakes and they looked at the same design and Saturday morning when I picked up her cake I did cry, because it was so much more than even expected with such a short notice and turn around and the price wasn't bad either. I would highly recommend them to anybody and am calling them today to have them do her cake for this year's birthday, as well!!
