Where to Drink Margs and Give Back in Detroit | Eater

"Inspired by their travels abroad, former NBA players and brothers Joe and Jordan Crawford pitched their family the idea of turning their event space into both a café and speakeasy, and Cred Cafe was born. Fuel up by day with freshly brewed coffee and light fare such as the Anytime Salad with turkey bacon, eggs, red onion, tomato, and feta on a bed of spinach or the Brunch-wich, featuring honey roasted turkey, fried egg, tomato, and provolone on a croissant. By night, say the password and head through a secret door into a speakeasy and entertainment lounge where you can mingle while enjoying a Sweet Thang: Astral Blanco, orange liquor, lime juice, agave nectar, and pomegranate. Looking for more margs? Check out these other local bars serving Astral Tequila: The Golden Fleece; 423 Main; Last Chance Saloon; Warren Cafe; One Mic; Shadow Gallery; The Well; Common Pub; RegaleBLVD; and Sid Gold’s Request Room" - Vox Creative

Cred Cafe is such a VIBE! Peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. Really great coffee options and such a perfect spot to read and relax. Perfect hub for me to work remote from. I truly enjoyed my first visit in. Definitely a hidden gem in the community.

📍✨Google Guide Review✨📍 I patronized here to catch up on some late night business. I was immediately greeted and asked what where I wanted to be seated. There is a front window space for cafe vibes but behind a secret door is a bar area which was pretty cool. I ordered the veggie flatbread with Pesto which was delicious and Kombucha for my beverage for a tiny kick of alcohol. I ended up getting a White Claw as well which is always great. Overall, great chill experience to put a twist on remote working on a Friday evening. PS: check out their photos as there is another secret area beyond another hidden door 🔥

The atmosphere was great, but I feel I seriously overpaid for a Dirty chai. $5 +3.50+ 1+1.75 for one dirty chai. To put that in perspective anywhere else in the same area for $8 I could have got the same with a pastry. So, I will not be returning but Loved the vibe and wish them the best.

Great space but TERRIBLE experience w/owner while hosting an event! Sylvia gave me such a hard time! The place is newer to hosting events so I had a lot of questions since there was no written policy. She was bothered by me asking questions and failed to respond or recall certain details we had discussed. Clearly in over her head & needs a non-biased event planner. After taking my money (50% deposit) her tone & demeanor worsened. I decided to change DJs since I hadn't been given ample info on their "staff" DJ and THAT was a problem! Since I had already paid they now owed me money back. Instead of refunding immediately they waited until after the party and took $290 out of that! The "manager", her son, was supposed to call me to discuss & never did. Oh! After "checking me" about bringing grape juice for guests who don't drink alcohol (something she forgot that we talked about!) All of a sudden guests were turned away for capacity. People flew in from out of town & were denied entry! I paid for a private space and they started letting strangers come into our space. Not cool at all. Soooo much more I could say but won't give this much more of my time. Definitely need her to step aside & let someone else run things because clearly she's not fit for the job! Again, great space but TERRIBLE OWNER EXPERIENCE!!!

Quaint and discreet coffee shop with excellent service. Nice and quiet. I didn’t have any food because it was early, however, I am looking forward. I think I will adopt this place when I need to work in peace or have quiet 1:1 meetings over a fresh bean.

Coffee shop for work, speakeasy for great conversation and members lounge for the vibes. This is my go to after work place as a young professional in Detroit. Perfect for networking and making meaningful connections organically.

Good food with a service to match it! Wide range of options on drinks and a good selection for food. The atmosphere is great and has so much inspiration for the space.
