Where to Drink Margs and Give Back in Detroit | Eater

"Inspired by their travels abroad, former NBA players and brothers Joe and Jordan Crawford pitched their family the idea of turning their event space into both a café and speakeasy, and Cred Cafe was born. Fuel up by day with freshly brewed coffee and light fare such as the Anytime Salad with turkey bacon, eggs, red onion, tomato, and feta on a bed of spinach or the Brunch-wich, featuring honey roasted turkey, fried egg, tomato, and provolone on a croissant. By night, say the password and head through a secret door into a speakeasy and entertainment lounge where you can mingle while enjoying a Sweet Thang: Astral Blanco, orange liquor, lime juice, agave nectar, and pomegranate. Looking for more margs? Check out these other local bars serving Astral Tequila: The Golden Fleece; 423 Main; Last Chance Saloon; Warren Cafe; One Mic; Shadow Gallery; The Well; Common Pub; RegaleBLVD; and Sid Gold’s Request Room" - Vox Creative

Pretty live place at the time/night i visited. Entry fee kinda high, drink prices kinda high. Long lines. Music ok. Vibe ok. Mixed ages. I possibly would return, but maybe earlier there were no seats and I refuse to stand the entire night. Surprised we didnt have to pay for parking too...

I recently visited Cred Café’s hidden gem, the speakeasy “Say Less,” and it was an absolute delight. From the moment you find the entrance, you know you’re in for something special. It’s got this cozy, intimate vibe that just feels like a well-kept secret in the city. A huge shoutout to Terrell, the bartender, who made the experience even more memorable. He’s got a knack for making you feel right at home while mixing up some truly inventive cocktails.

Stopped by early evening to check this spot out. The barista was polite and kind, gave us the speakeasy code to gain access behind the coffee shop. It was a beautiful quaint space, we sat at the bar for a drink. Moments later, the manager gave us drinks on the house then let us gain access to the lounge behind the bar space which was magnificent. They host parties on the weekends for a charge and the space is amazing. Husband and I plan to return soon for a weekend adventure at Cred!

Absolutely lovely place. A gem in Detroit. My only grip is that the ambiance is a really nice moody laid back vibe, but there are large screens playing sports on a bright screen - so its like a sports bar intruding into a lovely lounge. Will be much nicer if instead of sports they had something to fit the ambiance.

Cred Cafe is such a VIBE! Peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. Really great coffee options and such a perfect spot to read and relax. Perfect hub for me to work remote from. I truly enjoyed my first visit in. Definitely a hidden gem in the community.

📍✨Google Guide Review✨📍 I patronized here to catch up on some late night business. I was immediately greeted and asked what where I wanted to be seated. There is a front window space for cafe vibes but behind a secret door is a bar area which was pretty cool. I ordered the veggie flatbread with Pesto which was delicious and Kombucha for my beverage for a tiny kick of alcohol. I ended up getting a White Claw as well which is always great. Overall, great chill experience to put a twist on remote working on a Friday evening. PS: check out their photos as there is another secret area beyond another hidden door 🔥

Super chill, great service. If new to the area, they can tell you the best places to eat. 10/10
