Each time i stop by this store, I've found someone willing to help, and best of all, bilingual. The store sometimes has discounts or sometimes free samples. The employees are helpful, and I'm not sure of their names because they don't have a name tag, and I didn't get them. They have products for face, body, and hair. They also offer makeup session, consultation too. I'll keep coming back. Paid parking in front and around.

They have a great selection and the employees are very friendly, however, I would buy more there if I was left to browse. I was asked 5x in 25 minutes if needed help from each employee in the store. I do NOT blame them for this; I’m assuming this is a company sales directive, but it’s a small store and not a comfortable shopping experience.

I asked for a concealer shade match, and the found a good shade for me. The store is very well lit and much more suitable for shade matching than other make up stores I've been to. But when I told them it was for the dark circles under my eyes, they suggested I try a color corrector and the shade they selected perfectly concealed my dark circles, without any concealer on top! This is a problem I've been working on for years, and they pointed me in the perfect direction. Thank you all so much, especially Olivia who helped me out in the store!

I didn’t get the name of the esthetician who helped me, but wow, she was phenomenal 💛 seriously, I felt so seen and cared about and left feeling so so beautiful. I am still completely blown away by what she taught me and how kind and loving she was. Cannot recommend credo enough if you’re in Chicago and looking for clean, ethical, beautiful make up or skincare

I don't go regularly but every time I have been to CREDO, the staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. The first time I visited the store, I walked in and said "here is a picture of my sister, she has eczema, she likes these two brands you don't carry, and I want to get her a gift." They were able to identify multiple products and my sister loves everything I got her. The second time I visited the store, I walked in and said "I'm looking for some Indie Lee products to help with this new hormonal acne I'm experiencing." The woman looked at my face, asked me some questions, then recommended a completely different brand I'd never heard of. It's been about 4 weeks of using that moisturizer and my face looks and feels amazing. It's definitely expensive but on par with Sephora and Blue Mercury.

I love this store and love their service! The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I sometime go in to buy products or just to drop off empties for recycling. I went in there last Saturday to pick up body scrub and used some of my points. Vanessa helped me with everything and I am happy with the things I bought and redeemed using my points. I think they have the best reward program out of the cosmetic stores. Would totally recommend!

I have literally spent thousands (and thousands!) of dollars at this location, and they gave me a hard time about trying to return an unopened $20 make up brush (bc it was past the 30 days) I never even took out of the bag. Dumb customer service. Guess I will have to shop a few doors down at Blue Mercury, and directly with the brands.

I like the concept of Credo beauty and having a bunch of clean, popular products all in front of me. But I seriously wish their staff would just let the customers shop. People were continuously interrupted to be told about the various sales/promos and this is nice to an extent. After a while, people want to look around and feel/smell the products without being bothered. I'm hesitant to go in here because of this.

I come here twice a year to restock all the necessities! The employees are always so helpful & knowledgeable!

The Credo location in Chicago truly knows how fortunate we are to have them in our city. The staff is consistently well-manned by exceptionally friendly and informed individuals who consistently exceed expectations. I had a fantastic experience today when they located the mascara I had been searching for.

My first time here. A Friday afternoon, lunchtime. Not a soul in the joint except the 4 sales associates. I was taking it all in. Tried a scent I might like and was waiting for the weardown . In the span of a few minutes, I was approached 3 times. "Are you still doing OK over here?" I think hovering is bad for business and uncomfortable.

Had a great experience as a first time visitor. Yes, there were several employees and the store was empty when I first arrived so it seemed overstaffed, but as I stayed longer, it actually got crowded and the staff were needed. I got a free facial while there and really enjoyed it. I learned a lot from the girl who did it and I didn't buy anything, but I might next time because I appreciate it that they weren't pushy.

Like a super healthy Sephora-- so much fun! My foundation (of 10 years) was finally discontinued so i needed to find a replacement. Non-toxic makeup is really important to me. Emmy walked me through all of the options (makeup has changed a lot!) and helped me find the perfect formula and color match. She was patient and thorough and really nailed it! I could have stayed here for hours (and probably did.) Super helpful, great products and a generous return/exchange policy for makeup.

Huge selection for non toxic products! The girls were very friendly and helpful. Would def support this store. My fav is the Indie Lee skincare line!

No do not recommend. Sales associates are super pushy trying to get you to buy product which I hate. Also purchased a foundation after having it tested in my skin at the store. They must have pulled the wrong color from what I tried because when I got home and used it the next day it was a totally different color. Only give store credit for products that were used and returned. Have spent tons of money at Credo. I am done. They sell a lot of the same stuff at Sephora and other stores with better returns policies.

This is a lovely little shop, very clean and warm Feeling, unlike sterile or cluttered kind of environment many beauty shops tend to have. It was nice and quiet, too, which I like (I hate when you walk into a store and people have to shout at you because it's so loud). They have a lot of well-respected brands in the clean beauty sector: Tara Harper, RMS Beauty, Jane Iredale, Vapour cosmetics, Juice Beauty, and so on. I used to purchase these products online only, so it's nice to have a place in town to go if I want something from one of these brands so I can try it out or test colors and what have you. There was one thing that bothered me, however, and that's regarding the accessibility of the store. There is a large step to get into the store (one which I almost forgot about as I left the store, since it blends so seamlessly into the sidewalk below--if I hadn't been looking down I'm sure I would have stumbled, not remembering it was there). If one uses a wheelchair I'm not sure how they'd be able to get in. It's possible it would be difficult to navigate even if you used a cane (the step was higher than a typical stairway). If not for this, I may have given the store a rating of four stars instead of three, but since inclusive spaces are important to me I chose the lower of the two.

Staff wonderfully helpful. Well-stocked store. Clean and inviting atmosphere. Always enjoy stopping by when we're in Chicago. Always worth the side trip. Appreciate their consideration for clean make-up and skin care products. Good for you and look good on you!

I choose zero stars. I purchased $177 worth of products from them in November. It is a product line they no longer carry, Jones Road. The foundation was full of small flakes. Foolishly I didn't question it at the time. The Miracle Balm was on the dry side, not creamy. Again I didn't question. The product was new to me. I used the products. Fast forward to this week. After communicating with Jones Road and replenishing the products I realized that what Credo sold me were out of date or damaged products. I immediately emailed them. Their reply was too bad. It's been too long. I only know their products were flawed because I bought new ones and there is no comparison. They will offer me 15% off but they no longer carry what I use. Terrible customer service.

Michelle was amazing! She gave me a virtual session teaching me how to take my eye makeup game to the next level. I appear on TV from time to time. And due to the pandemic, I now have to do my own hair and makeup. Michelle taught me how to put on false lashes. I did buy several products that I can't wait to try. I have attended other virtual makeup tutorials with makeup artists, but those other ones were just teaching me things I already knew how to do. It was a lot of fun. I have nothing but positive things to say about Credo beauty. Love that their products are clean as I have sensitive skin.

I came here for an eyebrow wax and had a great experience! They use wonderful products that weren't harsh or irritating on my skin. The store is filled with safe and sustainable natural beauty products. The girl who waxed my eyebrows was super friendly and she gave me a great sample of eye cream! Another girl who checked me out at the counter gave me a sample of natural deodorant. Great customer service! I will definitely be back to try out one of their facials or peels.

Ran in right before closing because Michelle was so helpful on the phone. I overdid it with exfoliation on a few very cold days and my face is wrecked. Michelle set me up with some lovely products to help baby my face back to health. Her own skin is so glow-y and inspiring--and she was super eager to help even though I got there seven minutes before closing. THE BEST. Thank you!

I was THRILLED to find out that Credo was finally opening a store in Chicago! When I first found Credo, it was only online and in San Francisco/New York. The online support was amazing and the options were fantastic. The staff was informed and offered more than one selection and even sent samples of some of the options to help me figure out what would be best. Now comes the store experience. I have been treated better a Sephora or other big makeup stores. I went in wanting to change my bb cream and possible get better eyeliners/eye cream. I told the first woman, that I was thrilled about Credo (the only bad thing is the deluge of emails with a new Chicago store) and what I was looking for. She passed me to another person, who gave me one option for bb cream and then walked away. I wandered around the store looking at other possible options, remember the eyeliner/eye cream, and when I walked by the register the magically reappeared to check me out. I wasn't even ready to check out! At that point, I was done. Clearly Credo beauty online is light years better than the store. Save your money and time and avoid this overpriced shop.

I absolutely LOVE Credo Beauty! I have shopped with them online and they have an amazing and vast selection of green beauty brands as well as super friendly customer service! I was thrilled to hear that they were opening up a brick and mortar store in Chicago! Most green beauty stores are in New York and LA, but the entire middle of the country gets skipped over most of the time. I never understood why a major city such as Chicago would get skipped over but SO ecstatic Credo is open here now! They are ahead of the game putting a store in Chicago! It'll be so nice to see and sample products in real life before buying them! It's awesome to see the expansion of green beauty in the midwest and I hope other GB retailers follow suit! Build it and they will come!

This place is beyond the beyond. I have found my go to for organic non toxic cosmetics. Vanessa introduced me to everything cbd as well as vitamin infused serums. Go there and you will be hooked. I promise!!!!! It is a real mecca.

Today was my first visit. Marisa was very helpful, listened to my wishes and concerns and did not try to upsell me. When I said I wasn't willing to pay $55 for one product and found another for half the price she apologized for not having thought of that one. They do try to match color first, which makes sense. In fairness the second brand didn't have as great a color selection, though it did have one that worked for me. Everyone working there was very helpful. I will definitely return when I am ready for more clean beauty products.

They don't treat all people fair. I am an African American woman. I just visited this store for the first time, it was fully staffed when I walked in not a word no greetings or friendly introduction. A few minutes later a white woman comes in; she is nearly greeted by the entire staff. Seriously!!!! When a staff member finally said hello; she seemed to be whispering. Oh, no! There customer service is poor. Treat all people like you want to be treated and don't ignore them and whisper hi. Have a good day. Get it together k. We all get a second chance sometimes.

I had always really liked this place until recently. I called during the pandemic to do a curbside pickup. They were still closed to the public when some other places had opened, totally understandable. I was trying to give local places business when times had been so tough. I called to inquire about stock availability for a couple foundations I wanted to purchase. The girl on the phone said she had them, and told me I needed to pay in advance. I was not home and did not have a credit card with me, and politely asked her to hold them. She gave me a lot of attitude and said if I didn't call back the next day to pay they would put them back. I called very early the next day to pay and she never even put them on hold for me at all. The girl that helped me that day could not have been nicer. I decided on one of the foundations and ordered another one they did not have in stock online. Today I went to return the items I decided against. The door to the shop was unlocked and all the lights were on. Suddenly a girl walked out and instead of greeting me said "We're closed". I said that I didn't know that (I thought they were open until 6). She said "Yeah. We'll be open tomorrow at noon but we are closed." Low and behold it was the same rude girl from the phone. I looked on Google and I guess they close at 5 now. When I was in the store it was 5:03. I have worked retail since I was 16 and could never imagine treating a customer that way. I will go back to return my unused items but will no longer be a patron after. There are so many other store options out there that care about customer service.

Honestly, this is probably one of the only beauty stores in Chicago I come back repeatedly throughout the year. I think compared to stores like Sephora or other Wicker Park spots, Credo has always had an amazing staff that is highly knowledgeable about their products and super friendly. Really unique, and approachable experience with a curated selection of products. Could not recommend it enough!

I booked a facial with Credo for a Sunday. They called me Saturday night at 7 pm saying they had a scheduling issue and had to cancel and meant to call me all day but were too busy. They didn't offer me any % off if I came back. I can't get into anywhere else on such short notice and had really looked forward to my facial.

Excellent addition the neighbourhood. Great selection of high end beauty products. Helpful staff who are very knowledgable .

I wish I had a Credo in Charlotte, NC! Varied selection of almost all the natural brands a girl could want. I was able to pick up a new mascara, eye liner and hand sanitizer. Service was attentive and personal. The day we visited there was a juice beauty rep present who was more than happy to demo her products and give me samples. If I lived nearby, I would treat myself to a facial here. Their facial room looked gorgeous and peaceful. All the testers were fresh and clean. I didn't feel pressured at all to purchase and was given suggestions for each item I asked about. Just a heads up - they are cash free.

I came in looking for a specific RMS product but also couldn't wait to check Credo out. The store is very clean and well organized. There is not an overwhelming level of products that don't need to be there. They focus on high quality brands that are "green" and cruelty free. What brought my visit hovering near 5 star was Marisa. She was sweet, so helpful, knew just when to assist and just when to let you browse and had great info and recommendations. All of the products are available online but I recommend going in store and finding Marisa.

While I had some less than stellar interactions with staff at Chicago Credo, the last few times I have gone in the staff have been so kind and helpful. I am hopeful that this will continue!

So happy to have found a place that sells true natural skincare and makeup! I walked in for a foundation and a concealer, Marisa was super helpful and knowledgeable: she helped me pick the ones that worked best with my skin type (dry, sensitive) and color (very light). She also gave me some sunscreen samples to try so I could see which one would be best for me. Really a great experience, wonderful staff and lots of excellent products to choose from.

The location is great and the spa looks bright and beautiful. The service is reasonable and the staffs are friendly. Love it

New to the "clean" world... I ventured into this store in hopes of finding something to help jump start my journey. I could've spent the entire day here trying beauty products and learning about each of the founders and their lines. Immediately walking in, I felt the zen atmosphere and was greeted by knowledgable staff who offered me extremely sound advice on what I was hoping to find. Between the beauty consultant and the esteticioan both on the floor helping patrons find what items they were looking for, I walked away with my first purchases of clean beauty products to start my journey. I will DEFINITELY be back, even if it's just to hang out and try new products! So happy to have Credo Beauty in our city!

I had the Credo 150 dollar facial. Wendy was interested in my face needs. I have sensitive skin and she did her best to make the facial work with my skin. The room where the facial is given is not heated enough for Chicago weather so they have a warmer and a heavy duvet. It is an uncomfortable weight and detracted from the facial. My daughter had the pregnancy facial and she was disappointed because the technician seemed afraid to touch a pregnant woman. It was a fun event with my daughter but we both are happier with our regular facial relationships.

I heard about this store and was excited to check it out, Just needed a foundation for my aging skin. The sales person did a great job and gave me 3 options. She helped me with a lip stain and makeup brush. I did not feel any upsell or any pressure. I will be back for more. Just delightful.

Great experience at Credo! The staff was so helpful - found exactly what I was looking for and gave honest, informative reviews. They also gave me a sample so I could try the product before committing to the full size. I would highly recommend this store for anyone looking to learn more about and try naturally sourced beauty products.

I love this store! Everyone who works there is super helpful--especially Dean. I was in today and he was super kind and well-informed and I felt like he was really listening to my questions and providing helpful suggestions. He was also very skilled at helping multiple walk-ins while also pointing me in the direction of his product recommendations. I am OBSESSED with this place! A friend who lives in the neighborhood invited me to go with her and check out this (newly opened) trendy store featuring all green beauty products.Being new to the idea of clean beauty, I had a multitude of questions (which were thoroughly answered by the extremely knowledgeable associate who was assisting me).After asking me what my main skincare concerns were,I was given some samples to try at home ( I loved the fact that I wasn't pressured to buy a product I was unfamiliar with). Last week I went back to purchase one of the cleansers and moisturizers I was given a sample of- which was PERFECT for my sensitive skin.I was told that they also offer facials-can't wait to book my appointment! Great products and professional,friendly staff...I have found a new home for all of my skin care and beauty needs!

Credo is a beautiful store! Tons of wonderful green beauty options. Dean was so helpful and patient. He helped me find a ton of new products that I absolutely love. Would definitely recommend this store and Dean for assistance with your beauty needs!

Credo Beauty is a great addition to the neighborhood. I had the pleasure of meeting Demi who was visiting from their NYC store - she was extremely helpful and made my shopping experience fantastic. The store and its contents are beautiful. Delighted with my purchases. Thank you Credo for introducing me to so many natural products.
