"Like any popular breakfast joint, Creekside usually has a wait, but it’s worth it. The space is small, cozy, and generally packed with a happy morning crowd. Early risers should grab a window seat and enjoy any of the 13 eggs Benedict that the menu offers." - Josie Sexton, Lucy Beaugard

My family and I had a great brunch experience at creekside! The restaurant is nestled right by the edge of a creek and that made our outdoor eating experience extra special. Our server Brett was wonderful and attentive. I ordered the Santa Fe omelette and it was cooked perfectly. All my other family members really enjoyed their meals. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Steamboat!

Google
I would definitely recommend this place! I got the eggs Benedict with fried eggs. I did specify that I cannot eat red meat and asked multiple times to ensure that there would be no contamination but when I got my meal my potato’s had bacon in them:( the food was really good otherwise! I would definitely recommend eating outside as the inside is not as fun! Our server was wonderful and very apologetic about the bacon incident.

Google
This café has such a chill vibe, and it’s easily the most popular spot downtown. The breakfast is absolutely spot-on—everything tastes amazing! The only downside? The wait time for food is a bit long. But honestly, it’s worth it because the quality is top-notch, especially the local bacon. If you go, you have to try the BET and the French toast, they’re ridiculously delicious! Highly recommend!

Google
Good breakfast, I had the eggs Benedict. Atmosphere is upscale, there is some nice outdoor seating along the creek but it is in high demand so we ended up sitting inside. Took awhile for the hostess to appear. Service was good but they seem to clutter your table with a tin for silverware, carafe of water and suggested tip ranges from 20-25%.

Google
This little cafe is so cute and cozy inside! It may be small, but it’s very comfortable. The food was great! Between the omelette and waffles, we were full! Will be returning to try other items on the menu! The side portion of fruit was great, as most places give you about 5 pieces! A must try if in steamboat!

Google
It's a busy place, the outdoor seating is beautiful and popular. Right next to the river. The food however is just OK.

Google
Brett was an amazing server, who offered the best service & suggestions! The restaurant, itself, is a great spot, and hidden gem of Steamboat! The food was incredibly flavored, and a lot of the ingredients are locally sourced. We cannot wait to come back!! Five stars!!

Google
my friends recommended this spot for brunch. located in Steamboat Village is this cute, quaint little breakfast spot. and it's not so much a Hidden Gem as it was super packed! but it was still fairly short wait to get seated, 10 minutes for three of us. our server Jamie was super nice and super tentative to bring out our drinks food and see if we need anything else. I ordered the brisket biscuits, which was amazing! the biscuit was perfectly crisp and soft topped with a ton of veggies and sunny side up eggs with a side of potatoes, you can get your eggs anyway you want. My fiance ordered the birria quesadillas and my friend ordered the chicken and waffles. everything was amazing! A great harty and tasty way to start the day! our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs, the dishes are pretty big none of us are able to finish our plates. really cute spot brunch, they also have a ton of lunch options if you're looking for more than breakfast food.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended by locals in the town. A small little nook in the quaint part of town. The entrance is a small doorway into a brick building. Inside has a very small town cool vibe with tables and chairs probably seating maybe 30. The serving counter can be visibly seen with cups hanging and other kitchen stuff..cool!! The menu seems to be mostly breakfast and some lunch items. The food was affordabe with decent portions and was good. Oh and of course they have clean bathrooms in the back....Definetely a cool place to come for breakfast while in town

Yelp
I was referred to this cafe with some of the best Eggs Benedict I've had in a long time. Yes it was a special with spicy Barbacoa but the composition tells me that the several over varieties would be just as good. The eggs were Firm and yet soft, spicy beef, soft muffin and easy cut with a knife and probably a fork. Every cut stayed in place so every bit had egg, beef and muffin; that's a treat. Breakfast potatoes that were well cooked, good seasoning. A side single pancake that tasty and fluffy. The cafe is a cozy place but did a good job of moving customers in and out. Service was quick and very friendly. A full room can be a little noisy.

Yelp
I am not sure if they were having an off day as this place has great reviews, but we were not impressed. When we arrived they were on a wait and didn't even offer outside seating. I will say it was a little chilly at first, but then they just started seating people right away outside who arrived shortly after us and asked to be sat there. Why not give people on the waitlist the option first?? We had to wait around 10 mins longer than originally quoted while others arrived after us and were sat right away. Then we get sat and it takes another 10 mins easy for our server to arrive. He was very sweet but seemed a little overwhelmed. We ordered the Benedict special to share as we usually love those runny poached eggs but both were overcooked. The shining star was the green chili grits which we couldn't stop eating. I think we would give this place a try again just based off the other reviews but we were definitely disappointed. It also took us a long time to pay. Maybe an off day. Loved the ambiance and vibe though. We would've loved the option to sit on the back patio. That wasn't available when we arrived but then shortly after they opened it up. Just seems unorganized.

Yelp
Was such a cute breakfast place with a bar. My shroom jam burger was amazing! Everyone loved their dishes. Waiter was quick to refill drink and recommend the right type of bloody mary.

Yelp
Found this wonderful gem on Yelp for this mornings breakfast and it was delizioso. We sat outside on the patio along the creek on a cool sunny morning, started with some Cuppacino brought to us by our friendly happy server who also guided us through the menu with several house made items. It was so relaxing dining Al fresco enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Steamboat Springs and before you know it out came our food and all was amazing, from the house made biscuit to the malted waffle we all tasted each other's entrees and all were tasty in every way. But let me tell you those Grits were incredible, along with the sausage with my eggs I am a big fan of this place and will return. It did offer indoor dining which looked inviting but sitting outside was the ticket this morning. I would definitely recommend Creekside for breakfast, brunch or lunch when you are here. Mangiamo!

Yelp
Visiting for the holiday and stopped at this lovely place before we head back home. They had many things on the menu I wanted to try and it all sounded good. I got the Patterson Barn Burner and it was good. I will say my food was a little cold which is why I didn't give 5 stars. The portions are very generous! The rest of my group loved what they ordered. Definitely will be back when we visit. The service was great and our waiver was so nice. Everything was served in a timely manner.

Kathleen N.

Yelp
We were last minute looking for a brunch spot and all places we tried did not have availability. Luckily at Creekside, they have a waitlist you can check in on yelp! You don't have to physically be at the restaurant like other places to be put in a waitlist. We checked in early before we left our hotel to be put on a waitlist. And once we got there we checked in and only waited about 10 minutes. The place is small but very cute and aesthetic. Our server was very nice and helpful. We ended up getting the Santa Fe omelette with egg whites only, the barn burner, and chicken and waffles with side potatoes instead of eggs. All the food was fantastic! We almost all didn't talk to each other the entire time because all the food was so good! I see why this is one of the best brunch places to go to. I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Always a stop when we are in town! Sitting by the river for breakfast is a great way to start your day! Everyone has always been friendly even when they are super busy. The food is delicious and they have a variety so I would think anyone could find something. The ambience is great love sitting outside.

Lauren B.

Yelp
Still so so good. Now that Rex owns Creekside there is more opportunity to eat here with bigger groups. They open up seating at Laundry next door and it is awesome. Their eggs Benny is still my favorite in town and the service is always a chefs kiss. Pro tip- this is the best Bloody Mary in town too.

Chad R.

Yelp
Amazing!! Cannot say enough good things about this great little cafe. Both service and food was wonderful

David B.

Yelp
Always a must when in town. Cute place that gets very busy especially during high season. Great service along with a solid menu. Don't miss the cheese grits.

Yelp
As its name suggests, this restaurant is next to a creek. There's plenty of seating outside where you can enjoy the sound of rushing water. But unfortunately we were seated inside. But that's ok as we were seated fairly quick for a Saturday morning. They have a nice lounge/waiting area outside by the creek, where you wait for your party to be seated. I had ther wafflaughagus and a cup of black coffee. The wafflaughagus was a hearty breakfast. Waffle had a thin layer of gravy on top of it. Wish there was more of it because it added to the moistness of the waffle, and it tasted really good. There's 2 eggs on top, cooked how you want. The hashbrown too was really good. Cooked to perfection. I feel like there should have been more of it. But it was perfectly seasoned. Service was good. Our waiter was always topping off our coffee. He was a pretty nice guy. Eclectic interior with lots of random things on the shelves and walls. Overall, it's pretty good here. There's a nice vibe. Good breakfast/brunch spot in town.

Jeff K.

Yelp
Amazing food and good portions for breakfast for us. Options are abundant and I had the western omelet and a matcha latte. Highly recommend. My entire party loved meals too. Will be back.

Peter P.

Yelp
First time in steamboat and a friend recommended this place! Super cozy with the natural lighting and calm environment. My boyfriend and I were seated right away. I love the variety of foods on the menu. I went for the chicken and waffles and my boyfriend got the express burger with fries. Never had chicken and waffles and I was pleasantly surprised. Chicken was topped with an egg (scrambled mine) and a malted waffle. Chicken was well seasoned and cooked to perfection, not dry at all! The fluffy egg on top was the best egg I've had and the malted waffle with hot honey really hit the spot! The burger was juicy and fries weren't overly salty but well seasoned with cayenne and paprika I believe. Coffee was great as well as the dirty chai! We were completely stuffed afterwards! We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
We came here 5 years ago and were blown away by great food and ambiance. We came again today and felt that they have just priced themselves so high that the food can never measure up. I just paid $25.97 for a freaking breakfast burrito with no potatoes and no tortilla. It was good but nowhere near $26 good. The green chlil sauce was acidic and bitter with no heat. My wife's omelet was under seasoned and even mundane by our standards. My bloody mary was pretty good. After tip, our breakfast was $89.20. Not good value anywhere.

Wendy M.

Yelp
Enjoyed our morning brunch at Creekside and sat at a high top table, nestled in the back corner of the back patio. The chairs were a little challenging to navigate but once we got settled, all was well. Breakfast was spectacular. As a party of four, we ordered a variety of dishes: eggs Benedict, sausage and eggs, & traditional eggs and bacon. All were cooked to order. Flavors were on point. Waitstaff were attentive and helpful. The outdoor patio was gorgeous. Expect to pay a little more but know that you'll leave happy and fully satiated.

Shauna B.

Yelp
Enjoyed a warm yummy breakfast. I had Non-traditional eggs Benedict with fried chicken, pickles, biscuits and topped with hollandaise and a side of cheesy grits. My husband had chicken & waffles with 2 med eggs and gravy. All food was tasty and the servers were accommodating. Looking forward to visiting again on our next trip to Steamboat.

Lillie R.

Yelp
Amazing setting by the creek. Fabulous eggs Benedict on Fried Green Tomatoes with a side of cheesy grits. So worth the drive from Denver.

Sara F.

Yelp
We made reservations for this quaint, cozy and busy breakfast spot. Would definitely recommend making reservations as this place was buzzing! We were greeted and seated immediately and only waited a couple of minutes until we were greeted by our very friendly waiter. We ordered our coffee drinks while seriously contemplating what we would eat! So many options! I finally settled on the Have 'Em Your Way which was delicious and kept me full most of the day! Scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked bacon, country potatoes and homemade raspberry jam! Yum! My friend ordered her favorite Eggs Benedict which she orders every time she is here! They looked amazing and she was very happy with her choice! Would love to come back in the summer for a bite to eat by the creek but sitting inside on a cold winter morning with the warm bricks and lighting, not to mention the rustic atmosphere was also amazing.

Gayle R.

Yelp
Cute and cozy with absolutely delicious food. I had eggs Benedict and the cheesy green chili grits...SO GOOD! My husband had the brisket sandwich and was an incredibly happy boy. The service was really nice too.

Doug P.

Yelp
This was our favorite for breakfast when we were in town. Fantastic outdoor seating next to a creek (when it's warm enough to sit out there), good service and good food. We both had the ham and eggs but I substitute the cheesy green grits for the seasoned potatoes. The cheesy green grits were the best I've had in a very long time.

Kevin B.

Yelp
This is a great cafe! We stopped in for breakfast while road tripping through Colorado and we loved our meal. We had a Belgian waffle with bacon and eggs and the Western, which was a biscuit with sausage gravy, eggs, and breakfast potatoes, all of which were delicious! We also had a lovely side of fruit and it was a really good breakfast all around. The service was also very good and we would definitely stop in here again!

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Got the veggie omelette & it was literally the best I've ever had. Bloody Mary's were legit. Everyone was happy w their dishes. Cute patio w shade. 100% recommend!

Kendra T.

Yelp
I was all set to give this place 5 stars. However, the waitress walked up to my table as soon as they got busy and literally said, I need your table, I am kicking you out. I had just barely finished my lunch and was still drinking my drink. I was working at my computer but I was not lingering for no reason. I had only been there for 40 mins. I wasn't even the longest staying party in here. The table next to me had been there since before I was. I felt extremely uncomfortable and the waitress tried to tell me that she did t mean to rush me but she totally did. Very very bad customer service. They had an entire dining area not being used as well as a lovely patio and bar. I effing pissed.

Emily T.

Yelp
Service was fast. Everything was fresh. Cute atmosphere, nice view. Not too crowded on a Thursday morning but the place is hopping on the weekends. Worth the wait.

Jess R.

Yelp
The food was great but the bill was a staggeringly unfair surprise. I ordered a basic breakfast: two eggs, potatoes and "choice of meat" for $16.99. Not even toast. I ordered local bacon as my choice of meat. When I received the bill, they had added $6 for the bacon! The waiter never mentioned any surcharge. Is there some reason that a choice of breakfast meat would not include bacon? Also, my cup of hot tea was $7. This made the most simple breakfast with no toast $35 with tip. Pretty outrageous, and probably why The Shack is far more popular for the locals. I found out later from locals that Creekside was recently sold, so the older reviews on Yelp may not pertain to its modern incarnation.

Tillis D.

Yelp
I Enjoyed A Unique Experience @CreeksideCafe located Downtown in the Uniquely Quiant Lil Town of Steamboat Springs, CO. I'm Still Marveling Over My Experience. The Food Was Impeccable, The Ambiance Was Clean and Comfortable. However, The Staff, (i.e., service) and Customer interactions Are Without Question, Were The True Stars Of Show - It Was Beyond My Expectations - Thanks Abby and the crew... #Foodie #Delicious #TravelBandit #ParticularPalettes

Justin K.

Yelp
Super awesome place. If you need a place to wait for your flight since you got kicked out of your rental way too early then this is the hang out. Awesome drinks, great food and they were able to accommodate our luggage. We weren't in the way here and everyone was really nice! I made a note to self to come back! ... waffles and Bloody Mary's yum!

Christina R.

Yelp
Food is excellent, breakfast, lunch and kid options were perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the OG breakfast burrito, corned beef hash, fried chicken sandwich, and kids French toast. Outdoor seating next to the creek features shade, lovely flowers, and lots of birds, as well as music. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We will be back!

Jaye K.

Yelp
This is the best breakfast in steamboat, took me by surprised! Order the chicken and waffles !! Bomb. Also really friendly staffs!!!!!

Gabrielle B.

Yelp
This is a wonderful breakfast spot in downtown steamboat! It is conveniently located right across from the Nordic lodge if you happen to be staying there. The service was fast and friendly! I was impressed by the selection of food especially in terms of the vegetarian and vegan options. I opted for the have ''em your way, which is your basic breakfast with two eggs, potatoes, toast and choice of sausage. The potatoes with amazing! I detected some Cajun seasoning making them just slightly spicy. Although it was simple, it was a flavorful and delicious breakfast accompanied by a pipping hot americano. The hot sauces were flavorful and I really enjoyed the local one they had as well as the Cholula. My only complaint was that the ketchup has high fructose corn syrup...it would be nice if they changed brands to something healthier. Otherwise 5 star experience!

Madi H.

Yelp
I am so glad my friends and I managed to stop here before we headed out of town. We came around 10 on a Sunday morning and easily joined the waitlist on Yelp and got in. It got busier as we were leaving but I was surprised it wasn't more crowded. Our waiter was genuinely one of the most chipper guys I've ever met. We got our food fast, and boy was it incredible. My friends all enjoyed their plates. I enjoyed the fact that they had vegan sausage. The coffee was good, the grits, biscuits, everything. The decor of the place was cute, and they had little fireplaces and seating outside for folks to wait with some warmth (a great idea, especially considering it's a relatively small place and it was in the 20s this weekend). I am truly a breakfast lover, and I hadn't enjoyed a breakfast like this in a while. Wholly recommend! I should've known it would be good considering the overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Brian M.

Yelp
Just had an amazing breakfast at this place. The staff and the place was awesome. The food was delicious. I can't express enough go here and eat you will enjoy it.

Joseph R.

Yelp
Pulled pork biscuit entree was good and the PSL was good but food lacked a lot of seasoning. Fairly priced, great service, and great vibes.

Apsik T.

Yelp
This place offers waitlist through Open Table but it doesn't know how the waitlist works. Don't bother putting your name on their waitlist. You will wait longer for the table than others. Everyone who shows up as a walk in will get seated first. We showed up, told the hostess we could take first available table. She proceeded to sit 5 walk ins without a wait first. We waited 20 min as the first on the waitlist. We asked how much longer we would need to wait. The hostess said 15 min!!!! We left and took our business elsewhere. At other places putting your name on a waitlist saves you wait time. This place makes you wait extra long.

Deborah K.

Yelp
Excellent food and wonderful service. One of my favorite new places to go for breakfast in Steamboat Springs.

Micah P.

Yelp
Creekside is good but not great. Patio seating is awesome. The staff is very friendly. The food is good but the menu itself needs a refresh. I had the chicken and waffles. Not much chicken in the dish but what was included was very tasty. This is a relaxed atmosphere and the place is popular. People without reservations had a 30 minute wait at 11:30 on a Wednesday in mid July.

Sophie W.

Yelp
Delicious food!! Such a lovely ambience too! The pancakes were fluffy and light, and the potatoes were perfect.

Camille J.

Yelp
The ambiance was really nice but the food was not that good. Sausage tasted more like hamburger meat or something other than sausage. The grits were really good though.

Claudia A.

Yelp
Food portions were huge and delicious. I had the Cowboy brisket egg Benedict and my husband had the prickly bird. Everything was great!

Hailey G.

Yelp
Really cute local cafe! Really kind staff, comforting food, and quick service! It's really busy and a smaller place, so definitely get there early if you want a table. We went with a few friends and shared a handful of things and we loved the Benedict's!

A G B.

Yelp
Terrific spot for brunch. The food was excellent (probably the best avocado toast that I've had anywhere). Also loved the ambiance here.

Russ B.

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast! I had the Cowboy eggs Benedict which came with their own smoked brisket (!), and I substituted the cheese grits for the green chili cheese grits which I highly recommend. The regular coffee, though decent, was a little weak to my liking but not enough to reduce my 5-star rating. I simply ordered a shot of espresso to add to my cup. So good! Ambiance was excellent too with a rolling creek on the side of our outside table.

Nikki S.

Yelp
This is such a cute spot to have breakfast! We sat on the patio, as the name suggests, it is right on the creek and is very picturesque. I enjoyed watching the water and the birds while eating. Our server was very sweet and attentive and the food came out quickly. We ordered the Carnitas Benedict special, the Wafflaughagus (waffle topped with sausage gravy and eggs), and the kids meal waffle. All were delicious, but the special was definitely the stand out as it was such a unique dish. The only downside is the price points are pretty steep. For the adult meal you're looking at around $20 per dish, which for breakfast seems high. However, the trade off of the taste and the venue is worth it.

Judy D.

Yelp
Delicious food & friendly, competent service. Egg Benedict was cold however. They "reheated" to lukewarm. Grits were lukewarm as well but delicious. Husbands chilli relleno was superb. Coffee refills prompt. Welcomed our dog with water dish. You hardly knew you were in a crazed tourist town. Staff superb!!

Savanna N.

Yelp
If this place is calling your name, come to it. For groups it definitely involves a wait, definitely make a reservation. But if you're lucky, as a solo traveler, you'll get to sit at the bar and enjoy the company of a few strangers close to you. I was also here long enough to meet many travelers and I gotta tell you, this place is magical. Even my bartender, who's name escapes me but he is an excellent gentleman who's been working there awhile, added to my experience even more. Y'all, they ferment different fruits and veggies and even bacon in different alcohols and the drinks here look so tasty. I got a woManmosa, Mythology vodka, OJ and champagne adorned with blueberries. My kinda drink. The breakfast burrito is the burrito of your dreams. A lady sitting next to me also got it and we got ours at the same time. Complete silence as we both ate away at this chefs masterpiece. I got the vegan sausage and she, the chorizo. We hadn't spoke before the food came out to us but it was so good we became friends over it and talked until she left. That's how you know these people are doing food right. So thankful to experience this gem and if you need to walk off such an amazing breakfast, Strawberry Hot Springs has a lovely trail! I hope this place calls to me again soon, Peace.

Tasha M.

Yelp
Stopped for brunch after walking the main street to shop while visiting from out of town. We saw that they had good ratings and they did not disappoint. They had a variety to choose from on the menu and specials on top of that. I couldn't resist and got the brisket hash. I really enjoyed it but wish it had more meat. I ate every bit off my plate because everything was so good. My bf had the chile relleno breakfast. It was not spicy at all, which was a bit of a disappointment, but it had some flavor. My bf also ate his whole dish and said he should have ordered a side of bacon or sausage to go with it. I also wish our plates came with toast or tortilla. We both had orange juice, which we enjoyed with our meal. I can't wait to try other menu items next time we visit.

Jackie C.

Yelp
This is a great place for brunch with yummy food and drinks. Note that they DO NOT take reservations and the reservations on Yelp are really a waiting list. I thought I made a 12:15 reservation only to get there to find out they texted me at 12:00 that my table was ready and since I wasn't there, they gave the table away. Thankfully there was another table available and they actually seated us in this really nice little semi-private room. For drinks, the Creekside chai was amazing. For food, I had the eggs florentine, which was delicious. Will be back except next time, I'll keep in mind they don't actually take reservations.
