Crema Coffee Roaster & Bakery

I have been in this shopping center so many times and i can't believe i didn't know about this coffee shop sooner! The inside was so warm and welcoming and there were a few tables inside and outside. What i loved most about this spot was all the delicious pastries they had to choose from. Everything they had sounded so good! I chose the adorable hello kitty shaped banana flavored madeleine and a raspberry white chocolate croissant, that i took to go. The also had another case that had cakes in them. But there were so many different croissant flavors that it was so hard to choose. I also ordered a small iced toasted s'mores latte, which was about $4.50 if i'm not mistaken. I typically like my drinks more sweet, but this drink had a stronger coffee taste in my opinion, but i still really enjoyed the drink. The only thing is that I really wish that their pastries would've had prices. I would've bought more had the prices been listed. I didn't want to bother the cashier of having to ask the price of certain items.

Very busy and popular! It's a pretty good, standard coffee shop. I enjoyed the small foamy cappuccino (the have different sizes). The inside was clean but not very moderns. Parking is easy. Large clean bathrooms, but the paper towels are super thin and disintegrate in your hands. I love the selection of baked goods. The croissant had a sugar coating on top that made it a little sweeter. I kind of wish I was just a plain butter croissant without the glossy sugar coat. All in all, it's good. I took a virtual work meeting from here and had no problem. Seems like a good place to work from home.

Great coffee and pastries spot in Cary. They roast their own beans, coffee is always fresh and great tasting , large selection of syrups. Their bakery is star of the show, they run out of pastries pretty quickly so I’d suggest getting them earlier in the day. Today I tried Dutch slow brew iced coffee with brown sugar cinnamon syrup with cream, and a pistachio croissant. Croissant was perfectly flaky and just right amount of sweetness. Coffee was great as usual. Staff is very nice, ample amount of seating. Highly recommend trying out this hidden gem !!

Wow! I got a peanut butter cup ice latte and it is DELICIOUS! 🤤 my friend got an ice chai latte with pumpkin spice and it tastes like fall in a cup! There isn’t a lot of seating inside, but the outside seating is nice too. You will hear the Irish music from next door. Definitely would want to come back and try their other flavors ☺️

Delicious little local hip coffee shop. The pistachio croissant was a highlight. Shaded outdoor seating. We'll be back.

My boyfriend and I come here every single weekend. The staff members are so kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Shoutout to L and Marley for being so friendly and making such delicious coffees. Even if I’m not in the mood for a coffee per se but interested in a cookie, tea, or pastry I come to Crema. The staff members in combination with the delightful drinks makes this place a winner all around. The espresso is so smooth and has a nice prominent flavor in any of the lattes I order. I recommend the caramel craze or a white chocolate mocha with macadamia nut. Their peanut butter chocolate coffee also blew me away with how good it was!

First off prepare for the place to be busy! And it's not about the coffee, they have out of this world baked goods. I was lucky enough to come across somebody sitting outside that lived in Korea and she said the baked goods across from the coffee counter in the woven baskets were truly legit. So don't be fooled by just the glorious items behind the glass at the coffee counter! The more decadent pastries in the glass are slightly more Americanized but fantastic as well. Regardless of where any idea came from they were all awesome.

I like that place for studying, but I always have issues with the boba; it's always hard. It should be soft. This is the third time ordering a drink with boba, and it's still hard. Other than that, the place is very nice to enjoy your time.

Well, I just bought a cappuccino at this coffee shop, and it was pretty awful. I had to ask them to remove a layer of foamy milk just to be able to see the actual cappuccino under it. I had to take off another half an inch or so of cream just to get to the coffee part myself and once I tasted whatever was under it, it was not great at all. The issue is that, after the tip, I just spent five dollars on a cappuccino, and being that this is a treat I expected it to at least taste like a cappuccino, not some burnt tasting coffee with an over-foamed top. Please go check out some of the other roasters/coffee shops in the area, who know how to make these drinks the proper way, and try and emulate that. Clearly, this is a popular place, it has a nice enough vibe, but the one thing you come here for should at least be consistently good to make a person want to return.

First time visitor and would recommend! The coffee was very good, service was speedy, and they use a pager system so if you want to go sit outside you can. They have plenty of beans you can purchase as well. I had an iced latte and the large was actually a large compared to a lot of other coffee shops in Raleigh. Very happy with this find and will be back!

Came here again to grab some coffee and a bite to eat, and I had a better experience. My latte was prepared quickly and was tasty, and I enjoyed the chocolate au pain that I ate. I will say that when I visited a few days back, I had to turn around and leave because the line was insanely long. So I guess this place is sometimes too busy for me, but when I came during an off hour like today, it was pretty darn good :) Overall, I would come back to Crema, but probably not during the morning rush!

Fairly busy. Looks like a great place. Lots of chatter and laughter with seating inside and out. Nice decor with a commercial coffee roaster on display. It looks like they use it. The first thing I noticed is there is no gluten free cakes or cookies or treats available. Nada. That's disappointing to me since I wanted to treat myself this morning. I ordered a macadamia nut latte. They did have plant based milk selections. I was handed a beeper. That worked well but I like when my name is called out. It took about 10 minutes but was worth the wait. Really good. There's a selection of coffees to purchase and some other products in addition to an extensive menu.

I so love sitting in the relaxing comfy cozy atmosphere here and enjoy pretty much everything on their menu. Service is always friendly, happy and professional. Must try, just saying...Thank you Crema Coffee & Bakery in Cary

Delicious Latte and amazing blueberry scone! Super busy BUT service was proficient and served with a BIG Smile! Staff treated each customer as if they were the only one there! It was our first time in and my mother-in-law was somewhat indecisive but staff was patient and took the time to answer all of her questions. We laughed, enjoyed each other's company and relaxed in the seating and calming ambiance of Crema Coffee and Bakery! Thank you and we will be returning!

Delicious Coffee. Cozy atmosphere. So many latte options to choose from. Went with The English Toffee Latte. It was perfection. Not overly sweet. Just perfect. Paired well with the praline croissant and the craffle ( caramalized waffle) Staff was super friendly! Come check em out!

I stopped in for a quick dose of caffeine before starting my work day. The chai tea latte did not disappoint. Service was quick although there were quite a few patrons there. I like that they have a buzzer to let you know when your coffee is ready. The staff was friendly. Decor is coffee-themed mostly. There is a moderately-sized seating area where you could work remotely or chat with a friend without feeling like you're sitting elbow to elbow with strangers. I will visit again.

Visited on a Monday morning and was surprised to see how packed it was. This is a small shop, cozy but not a lot of seating. If you plan to do work you'll have to get lucky finding a table. The coffee and pastry were very good. One of the workers had a large attitude. It appeared she was training someone new, so maybe she was just having a bad day :) Overall, a decent place that I'll probably visit again if I'm at H Mart next door. But not somewhere I'd go out of my way for.

I looked up this business on Yelp and saw that they have great reviews. A friend and I visited this location in hopes of getting a great iced coffee and a sweet bakery item. Crema did not disappoint. Crema's decor includes multiple coffee displays, pastry options and wooden tables & chairs. The environment is cozy and quiet. It's great for meeting a friend, working remotely or just reading a book. The staff was attentive and helpful when I placed and picked up my order. I ordered the iced praline latte and it was delightful. I wish that I ordered the 24 oz instead of the 16 oz drink. I also ordered the chocolate chip cookie scone. The scone was scrumptious! It was soft and full of chocolate chips and walnuts. I recommend trying this scone when you visit Crema.

Looking for a new spot today for a treat and iced coffee. This was a positive stop and enjoyable. My friend ordered a praline latte and I ordered a plain iced coffee. We tried the scone and vanilla cake. The cake is a light sponge filled with incredible vanilla cream. The cake was moist and lovely. The chocolate chip scone was all that and more. We will be back. All delicious.

Simply put, they have extremely basic and mediocre coffee. Nothing memorable about this coffee shop except that you have to climb stairs to enter an underwhelming drab room with lackluster seating.

I wanted to love this bakery because I read so many 5 star reviews. The place is indeed cute, eclectic, homey look and feel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The coffee selections sound so uniquely delicious but was sorely disappointed with their "raspberry kiss" drink didn't give me the love it sounded - it was watered down and the raspberry flavor was too artificial. The croffle was slightly too brown. The selection of pastries was pretty slim. Maybe it was an off day???

This is a coffee shop that decided to cash in on the popularity of Asian drinks, yet they have no idea how to make them, haha. The cup of matcha I got went from decent one sip to incredibly bitter the next. They didn't dissolve the matcha powder in hot water before they made it. lol.

This is where I get my bean fix. Ethiopian, Nicaraguan, Peru, me ican, Tanzanian you name it. Oh and they have delectable sweets too

Love going to crema for their beans, iced lattes, and pastries. They have the best pastry case in a coffee shop and they are made fresh daily! They have a few seats outside on the patio that are usually open. The inside can get a little crowded but I've never had issues finding a place to sit. Staff is very friendly!

The coffee was perfect and the creme brulee donut was amazing! Will definitely be revisiting this bakery.

I love this place! I've been coming here for roughing a year and a half. coffee is always delicious, baked goods are so fresh and so yummy, the employees are really kind and get stuff done quick. i really recommend if you need a cup of coffee or just espresso (they're espresso doesn't taste brunt! yay!) support local!!!

The Dutch iced coffee is so good--and the staff great too!! Customer service is so important and they have it. Great people great coffee. Can't wait to make this my new go to spot.

The best iced mochas I've ever had! Pastries and coffee bean varieties are top notch. I love that they have organic whole beans. I highly recommend.

I was excited to try this place: it was good. I had a latte and did not get any pastries. They had a very limited selection of baked goods. I would say the is a coffee shop only and not really a bakery. It seems like they keep the baked goods in a freezer in the hallway. Great spot if you want to grab a cup of coffee, but if you want a bakery, this is probably not the top choice.

Cute little coffee shop and bakery. My 1/4 sweet iced caramel latte was very strong but I can't say I particularly enjoyed it. Opt for the smaller size, I got this coffee at 11am but was up until 4am bc it was so strong and I couldn't sleep. The bakery items looked great and if I'm in the mood for strong coffee I'd return. Won't be my go-to spot but we cant love everything!

I love this place and would give a 5-star if things wouldn't always be sold out. I drove over 30 min to purchase a variety of pastries the first time which I got lucky around 10:30am because I was able to get a strawberry croissant (recommend), almond croissant, almond cream roll, cheesecake pound cake, sweet cream bun (recommend) and the bigger pull apart cream bun (highly recommend). The second time I went here around 11:30am, most of the pastries were sold out....I am not sure how much often/how much/or if they do restock on their pastries for the day because I was disappointed to find out they were sold out of more than half of their items and wasn't given a "I'm sorry we are currently out but will have some more within "X" of minutes/hours." I would highly recommend for anyone who loves baked pastries that aren't too sweet. I will likely continue to come back and try their other goods and hopefully a few drinks.

I have been coming to this coffee shop for many years and I usually always enjoy the drinks. The employees are friendly and there is a nice variety of baked goods and drink options. This is definitely one of the busier / louder cafes so probably not the best place to come and read or study but a good location to catch up with friends!

Ordered traditional espresso macchiato, which had way too much foam to espresso - made it a bit sweeter. Good and fast service. Ambiance - NO AC, just a few ceiling fans. When it's 98F outside, it felt like an oven inside without AC. Would not recommend as a place to sit and enjoy coffee (with all the sweating, it was very hard to enjoy the coffee).

Fabulous place to have a little snack and a warm or cold drink. We went over and there were a whole ton of people already seated in all the seats inside the building and out, but still able to sit on the edge. I loved the Irish Cream coffee. Tastes like the real thing.

Really liked the fast and friendly service. Their pastry was amazing but wouldn't reccomend the matcha latte. Looking forward to coming back to try some more drinks and sweets.

The rating of 4 is mostly because I didn't find anything g extraordinary about this place for the prices they charge. Im not a coffee drinker but some friends wanted to meet here and I had never been so I was excited to check it out, plus I saw they had some bakery items and by looking at other reviews on Yelp I determined that I would probably be pretty satisfied. Pulling up, I realized that it was on an upper level of the Plaza and you had to climb stairs to get up there (this sounds worse than it actually was) the store is cute enough, nicely decorated, and seemed clean. The staff were helpful, positive and responsive the customers. My guess is that going at 3pm was a little late to take advantage of most of the baked goods since many of the baskets were empty and I was staring at signs of "what might have been" had I gotten there earlier! since I'm not a coffee drinker, I got 2 small hot chocolates (1 for me, 1 for my son) and a small pound cake. This cost me just over &10! YIKES! I would say what many others have said, they are a bit pricey for what you get. Overall, it was a nice place to meet but it definitely won't be some place I frequent.

Dec 2023: Back to business as usual, busy busy busy and see the coffee bean roaster onsite back on! Coffee and service always 5 stars! You are my husband's favorite coffee place compared to any chain.

They didn't have the coffee that was advertised on their website from Papa New Guinea, which is why I went to the store in the first place. Staff not friendly, I guess they didn't think they needed to be with a line out the door. Food was good but not a good vibe.

This place is always packed and never get seat, but they have great pastries and coffee.

To be honest, I didn't even know that this coffee shop was here. The name sounded familiar but never knew where it was located. I was eating lunch next door and decided to explore. I decided to grab a pumpkin spice latte. The coffee beans tasted great and were strong. That's when you know it's good coffee. I'm loving the low-key vibe of this place. The decor and atmosphere were also awesome. I'm not a baked good kinda guy but I would love to try it!

Never buy bubble tea here. It's super sweet and lack of tea flavor. Very disappointed.

I had Crema 2 days in a row during my visit to the Research Triangle area. On my first visit, I had a coffee, almond croissant, and Hazelnut fulled filled bear. My boyfriend brought his reusable coffee cup and was given a discount which was awesome! I will need to bring mine the next time I go. The almond croissant is large enough to split, and definitely tasted fresh and delicious. The Nutella filled bear was not only adorable (basically why I had to try it!) but also tasty if you like Nutella. On my second visit, we just got drop coffees and the staff is super attentive and notice that the coffee container was low before I even asked! Great service and excellent shop. I will definitely be back the next time I am in the area. I am looking forward to trying out their boba teas!

Omg I love this place! The choices for Coffee are fantastic. The bakery items are incredibly delicious. Many choices for types of coffee. I no longer go to Starbucks for my coffee

Pretty good lattes. Decent baked goods, although probably even more delicious if they offer to warm it up. But, I appreciate the fast service, even on the weekends - and not as pricey as some of the other bakery places around.

Came here for the first time the other day and it was a great experience. the employee that helped me was so nice and the coffee and treats that I got were tasty as heck. I'll definitely be back!

First things first: this is COVID-19 friendly with spaced outdoor seating and safe ordering inside I'm impressed with their Nutella turnover. After 2 bites, it was heavy with Nutella filling! I was recommended to try the English toffee flavored ice latte. It was good! Overall: great small joint to get something quick and tasty. The price point does not make it that worth it though. You'd have to be really compelled in order to try this place more than once/twice a month

The food is great. The pastries and baked goods are amazing. The coffee should be improved. I and others have found it to taste burnt - similar to Starbucks. Also the milk texture and temperature on the cafe drinks needs to be improved. There is far too much foam and it would difficult to draw art if a barista tried. Crema would be great if it could move in the direction of specialty coffee shops like Fount or Sola. I think the location and bakery are great, but the coffee could be improved.

Don't come here for Crema Brulee, and don't be put off by the prices, because in this case, the punishment does fit the Crema. And for the record, I'd much rather be drinking Bubble Tea here, than at a Crema Torium. What to get: Honeydew Bubble Tea. What not to get: Honeydon't Bubble Tea. Also: Excellent Taro Bubble Tea too. Also: Thanks so much to the guys who pretty much insisted I get this. You were right. And: Thanks so much to the guys the night before who pretty much insisted that I go back to their shady apartment in Raleigh. You were a riot. If you want some Crema with your Coffee, this is not the place to come. Well, it may be, but if you come here and don't order the Honeydew Bubble Tea, you may have missed out on the best Bubble Tea in Carolina. I finally figured out the secret of Crema. They use ice cream for their bubble tea! It's the only way they could get it to taste so good! I'm a big fan! I wonder if they're actually the ones who invented this concept. So they're smoothies rather than bubble tea, but they're shakes more than they are smoothies. And omg, the Taro is great too! But the Honeydew wins. It's actually insanely good. At first I was bothered by the iffy service (of at least one of the guys serving), and the fact that it came in smoothie form, and the fact that they insisted I try the honeydew even though it's not always my fave flavour, and especially the price compared to how small it is. It looks kinda like a miniature Bubble Tea. All of that goes out the proverbial and literal window once you taste this motherf***er. It's next-level good. It's divine. It's heaven. It's not even a Bubble Tea, it's more like the most amazing creamy delicious Honeydew Smoothie you ever imagined, which happens to have some Tapioca Balls in it. Kinda like I'm the most sensitive effeminate person who just happens to have Balls attached. Very similar concept. Come here, give it a try. I'll be trying some of the other flavours next time I blow through town (literally, if you wanna be on the list hmu), but having tried at least 15 other Bubble Teas and the like in VA, NC and SC, I can say that Crema is by far the #1 product I've had in the way of Asian desserts in these 3 states. In other words: It's the Crema-de-la-Crema.

My "go to" coffee shop. Located in a shopping center but in a quaint little space where they also roast their own beans. I have had numerous drink from here (cappuccinos to Cubans to flat whites) and all were excellent. Great quiet place for reading a book or meeting a friend for quiet conversations. Highly recommended!

So sad for the Crema team, their espresso machine is down and will not be repaired for a week. They are still offering some first class options, however! I introduced my husband to the Peanut Butter Cup milkshake since the latter option was not available, and I enjoyed a cup of house blend coffee. Still awesome!

I've come back here many times. Great place to bring your laptop and work or talk with friends with a great cup of coffee. The baked goods didn't impress me much but I have only tried a few types and the coffee is delicious so it doesn't bother me any. The taro tea is one of my favorites.

I began going to this coffee shop due to it being close to my home. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Unfortunately the staffs behavior was over shadowed by the owners behavior. I was provided a buzzer for when my order would be ready. It never went off. I approached the counter after about 20 minutes of waiting . The owner asked me "why do you have in headphones?" "I called out your drink, you should have been listening." Then provided me my drink. After getting over the shock I asked for a refund. The OWNER aggressively threw down his utensils and started working the cash register. He handed me the money walked off and said sorry with his back to me. As he gave me my refund the employees all were mouthing apologies to me, but in a way that he could not see. I feel for all the employees that have to deal with the owners rage. I will never return to this coffee shop again and will encourage others not too.

When I walked in to give Crema a try I was surprised to see such a wide assortment of baked goods. The mocha bun seemed unique so I tried it instead of getting my typical croissant. I was afraid it would be too sweet, but it wasn't. It was a light and delicious accompaniment to my latte. I'll return to try more beverages and pastries. They have an assortment of teas and fruity drinks as well as coffee.

The coffee is really good however -1 star for not having a cup or mug option if you want to drink it inside.
