Oh-My-GOODNESS. We were trying to get to a lunch spot and had to scrap it (road work forced us to go to a different restaurant) and we passed by Creme de la Cocoa on the way and I oh-oh, can we stop there after lunch??? And just so you know, it wasn't a question. It was rhetorical, we are stopping. So after lunch I happily parked and practically skipped through the front door. Bright, clean cases and shelves are stocked full of brownies, cookies, cakes, chocolate bars, rice krispie treats, fudge, macarons, hot cocoa and more. I saw the cookie sandwiches online and the truffles and knew those were both treats I wanted. They make an oatmeal cookie sandwich, like a very over processed food snack you can get at a grocery store from Little Debbie- but fresh, and 110% better. We also opted for the snickerdoodle cookie sandwich- also groan-in-food-pleasure while eating it! For the truffles- there was only one peach old fashioned left- let me grab that one, coconut, dark chocolate mint, Irish coffee, dark chocolate raspberry, bourbon cherry bomb, Florida native & Bourbon ball truffle. I tried that peach old fashioned as soon as we got into the car, while John tore into the cookie sandwiches and we both were trading tasting bites. The bourbon in my peach old fashioned hit on my second bite and John agreed- nice little punch and definitely an old fashioned in a truffle. And those cookies- wow. Another spot I will be back to try more and more. Drooling right now thinking about it and I still have my box o truffles!
