Best Ice Cream Shops in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"This quick-hit, family-run ice cream shop in Park-Ex scoops flavours based on traditional Indian desserts. They’ve got one option dotted with chunks of gulab jamun (small deep-fried and syrup-soaked balls of milk solids), another with roasted pistachios and pieces of Jalebi (a funnel cake-like confection), and a mango-flavoured riff on rasmalai. Pints and ice cream cakes are also available." - Valerie Silva

What It’s Like Working With Mom at a Montreal Restaurant | Eater Montreal

"At the Park Ex ice-cream shop run by Deexit and Aakruti Patel, I hear Sheela Patel insist that 'to make a mango lassi taste good, you need to mix the sweet and the sour just right.' Deexit consults his mother on every menu detail—from the chai masala mix (hand-ground spices and two kinds of ginger) to the need to boil the milk for the rose-flavoured falooda (something he hadn’t realized the first time he made it)—and exactly how much cardamom should go into the elaichi pistachio ice cream (lots). Her recipes are tacked on little Post-Its around the kitchen, she guides their ingredient sourcing to ensure authentic Gujarati flavours, and family support (including Aakruti’s mother Champa, who brings food or helps with dishes) is described as essential as the shop prepares to re-open for the summer." - Ivy Lerner-Frank

A Filipino Cafe, Indian Ice Cream Shop, and Other Montreal Restaurant Openings, August 2021 | Eater Montreal

"After months of prep, I visited the long-awaited Indian ice cream and chai shop Crèmerie Meetha, which held a soft opening on August 20; owners Deexit Patel and Aakruti (the team behind Tiffin Montreal) are serving 8-ounce pints and scoops in flavours inspired by Indian desserts like gulab jamun, mango rasmalai and deep-fried jalebi." - Valerie Silva

Park-Ex Is Getting an Indian Ice Cream Shop This Summer | Eater Montreal

"I learned that an ice cream and chai shop is set to open this summer in Park-Ex at 787A de Liège Ouest, run by Deexit and Aakruti Patel, who plan reasonably priced scoops, pints, soft-serve, chai and Indian-inspired pastries. Their flavours draw directly from Indian desserts: gulab jamun and jalebi (both studded with bits of the sweets and finished with a homemade cardamom-saffron syrup), falooda with rose syrup and sweet basil seed, elaichi pista with cardamom and pistachio, and mango rasmalai combining mango with a creamy, pistachio- and saffron-infused milk sweet; they also developed a Masala Chai ice cream topped with Parle-G biscuits and sell pints and artfully decorated ice-cream cakes. The concept grew out of their Tiffin Montreal catering experience and strong family support — Aakruti’s brother created the retro-Indian branding and their mothers have helped source specialty ingredients and contributed recipes such as Champa’s khaman." - Ivy Lerner-Frank

Google
Best ice cream shop for Indians. They have lot of Indian flavours like Gulab Jamun, Faluda, Elaichi Pista, Mango Ras Malai. I tried their most of their flavours. I liked the Elaichi Pista the most. They even have tasting many to try their all the flavours at once. Price is also cheap as compared to other fancy ice cream shop. They have a cute little shop only for take out at parc extension. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who want quality ice cream with Indian touch.

Google
A cute little ice cream storefront selling unique and authentic flavours from India! We tried the ‘Swirl of the Moment’- Haldi Doodh aka turmeric milk. We enjoyed it as the spice and cream balanced the flavour profile nicely.

Google
Best exotic kulfi ice cream in Montréal, a small hidden gem of parc extension. The prices could be better but it's still worth it. No other place does it like they do.

Absolutely delicious! If you're not familiar with the flavors, do not be intimidated by the menu. They were super kind and took the time to explain everything. Love it 💕

Always love coming to this place. The different unique and thoughtfully selected flavors of ice cream are always a delight to choose from. This time I had the rose elaichi flavor and it was delicious. My previous favorite was the gulab jamun and mango ras malai!

📍 **Place:** 4/5 🍽️ **Food:** 5/5 💸 **Price:** 3/5 🤵 **Service:** 5/5 Crémerie Meetha serves some of the best **kulfi ice cream** in town, especially the **milk kulfi**! The flavors are rich and creamy. The only downside is the small window setup, which gives it more of a street food vibe, and the prices are a bit high for the experience. Still, great service and delicious food make it worth a visit!

Google
This place is 10/10! The flavours are unique and tastes fantastic! I tried the mini scoops $3 each - Falooda, Mango Rasmalai, and Jalebi.

Google
The cutest little hole-in-the-wall. Very unique concept and blend of flavors! Definitely worth checking out. As an added bonus, the staff was very kind and welcoming. They generously offered my toddler a free scoop of ice-cream. It totally made our day! I will definitely be returning.

Yelp
This colourful little shop may almost be hidden below street level in Parc extension but it stands out as much as its distinctive ice cream and catches the eye. We weren't sure cardamon and coffee would mix but we had to try (because that's what we do!) and we were very pleasantly surprised. A very deep and pronounced flavour within great ice cream satisfied our dessert lust on a warm evening.

Yelp
Ambiance sympathique et service bilingue. Vous commandez par la petite fenêtre et vous repartez. Abordable et différent. Assurez-vous de bien enfoncer la boule de crème glacée pour ne pas la perdre!
