"Before joining the paradelike march to Crew stadium, you’ll want to visit Creole 2 Geaux for quick, affordable, and comforting New Orleans-style cooking. The casual spot is great for grabbing some sticky-sweet bourbon chicken to go, or sitting down with a quick bowl of gumbo and rice loaded with chunks of andouille sausage at the small bar. They also do great sandwiches you can house on the street during your walk—don’t miss their crispy catfish po’boy. " - erin edwards

TRY THIS PLACE!!! Stopped in on Saturday 4/19/25 after hearing about this place on Tiktok. I was very pleased. The deluxe bowl with spicy rice did not disappoint! It was full of flavor. If you love extreme spice they also have a hot sauce bar with tons of options to kick up the spice level. The r&b music playing added a very nice ambiance. The place was very chill, and clean. The guy who took the order was nice and he even delivered our meals to us. I have no complaints. My only recommendation would be keeping the restroom tidy it just needed a touch up. Overall 10/10 and I will be returning for brunch. Im excited for that catfish and grits!

My husband and I drove up from Dayton and it didn’t disappoint. The customer service was great! We were first timers and they were patient and helpful. The food was exactly something I would expect straight out of Louisiana!! We had their red beans & rice and bourbon chicken with spicy rice and a side of their Cajun fries. They also have a large and impressive selection of hot sauces, some I’ve never even heard of… we are excited to come back for more!

Wanted something “different” to get me out of my comfort zone of burgers and fries and was NOT disappointed! The bourbon chicken was to die for & the okra was SO seasoned!! Absolute 10/10!

Absolutely Outstanding! I just had my first experience with Creole 2 Geaux through DoorDash, and I am blown away. The food arrived as fresh and hot as if I were dining in—seriously impressive for delivery! I ordered the bourbon chicken, okra, and a soul roll egg roll. I took a little taste of each, and then I was at a total loss—everything was so incredibly delicious I couldn’t decide what to finish first. The flavors were rich, well-balanced, and made with obvious love and care. I may be late to the party (I’m new to Columbus), but I’m officially hooked. Now I know I have to visit the restaurant in person and meet the person behind these amazing hands that created such a flavorful experience. Creole 2 Geaux, you’ve got a new fan for life!

Google
This place is so consistently good and delicious. I wasn’t sure if I was prepared for a full entree today, so I went with a soul roll, fried okra, and red beans with rice. So tasty! Bring all your friends, each get something different and be ready to share!

Google
I've visited this amazing establishment 3 times since I found out about it through a well-known food influencer. Expect ample portions, and delicious, bold flavors with the perfect amount of spice. The Owner and her staff were extremely welcoming and friendly each time I stepped through their doors. Another bonus is that they are setup for online ordering, so it's convenient to place my order during a quick lunch or before I leave downtown to head home from work. 5 stars and highly recommended! I’ll definitely be back!

I have never had a store owner welcome me with as much enthusiasm as one the owners did tonight. Simply wonderful food, the in house spicy rice options nails the fine line between heat and flavor and made my sausage bowl pop. Definitely gained top praise from me and I will happily return time and time again. If you want a bit of southern cooking before a hockey game or event in arena district you can't find a more deserving place for your time and money.

Google
Incredibly fresh and delicious food served by a small and dedicated staff. The smell as you walk in tells you everything you need to know. All of the ingredients in the chicken and sausage gumbo were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Cozy spot to sit down for a hot meal, but they also make it very convenient to take it with you!

Yelp
Everything! Their jambalaya, bourbon chicken, fried okra, bread pudding.... and more - TWO words to describe it all, SCRUMPTIOUS and DEEEEEEEEEELICIOUS! Ran into the owner at a food hall - asked about their jambalaya for my husband who thinks the world of the dish and is always disappointed when trying the dish in locations outside of New Orleans. This one blew his mind and the owner made it just for him. A must visit for anyone who loves their Cajun dishes and missing New Orleans something major. Guy Fieri needs to do an episode here!

Yelp
Fast food Creole. The food was tasty, service quick. Not too much seating, but a lot of their business is takeout. Will keep Creole 2 Geaux in mind when going to events at Nationwide Arena.

Yelp
Shrimp Po boy was fresh and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend if in the Columbus area

Yelp
Friendly staff, ok ramen, try something else. I got the ramen, it's like a poor version of japanese ramen. Hard boiled egg, with stringy tough meat, in an ok broth, with average noodles. I had hoped for something more unique like say gumbo on noodles or something but it was basically just a poor version of japanese ramen. Sad cuz the chef was really excited too. Try something else on the menu, I am sure they must be good cuz there was a ton of ppl that came in and got other stuff while we were there.

Yelp
We stopped in here as we were passing by town. The owner took our order and gave us her opinion of her favorite dishes. And she was spot on! We had the drunken chicken and gumbo. The food was sooo delicious and filling. We had great customer service and really felt cared for.

Yelp
Sure, here's the updated version with your addition: --- I needed a quick bite for lunch and decided to try their red beans and rice. Parking was on a grab-and-go basis but can be tricky. Super casual. The price is decent. They offer selections that aren't on the menu. I would've definitely gotten the ramen bowl I saw someone with, but I'd already ordered. I asked the cashier, who was super nice and helpful, to find out. They had a few bar selections but do offer spiked slushies. I didn't partake, but they have three options. I wanted to LOVE the red beans and rice, but to my disappointment, the rice was hard!! UGH. It was quick service, but I wish I had a sweet cornbread to go with it. I couldn't get through the meal anyway. I think I'd try them again, but I wasted my $10, and now I'm still hungry. --- If you need any more changes, feel free to ask!

Yelp
I can't say anything bad about the food. It was good. But I would suggest that everyone check order before you leave. They forgot something of mine. I called and n was told it be taken care of. I heard nothing since. Like I said food is good but I won't go back just a thing I got. Mess up once I'm good.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this Arena District location, so i beat the weekday lunch rush and arrived at 11:00. It's smart of them to have an Express Lunch Menu, and I was in-and-out in about 5 minutes. Built into that was my interaction with the cashier in which she nicely explained items on the menu. I ordered the jambalaya mac and cheese, which was a very hot and creamy (but mild tasting) pasta/cheese mixture with chicken and andouille sausage. The taste skewed more towards 'jambalaya' due to the spice and overall flavor of the andouille sausage, but overall it was a worthwhile endeavor, especially given the nice portions. I was also able to try the bourbon chicken served over spicy rice. The combo bursts with tangy flavor, but some might prefer it with plain rice. I liked the spicy rice more than my guest. This experience has earned another visit as I'm curious to try their po boys w/fries.

Yelp
Stopped by before a concert at Nationwide on a Friday night. This location had been open about a month we were told. As someone who lived in the South for a few years, I miss creole and southern food so this was an exciting find! I ordered the Deluxe Creole bowl with spicy rice. On top of the spicy rice was their sauce, shrimp, chicken, and sausage. The flavor was amazing, a bit of heat but in a flavorful way. The portion was large, I took half of it home for dinner the next day (and it reheated well). I also ordered fried okra which came with a dipping sauce. There was good flavor in the breading of the okra. The staff were very attentive and happy to give recommendations or describe dishes. They mentioned just obtaining their liquor license so their bar area will open soon. I will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes!

Yelp
Walked up to the North Market and it was a line filled mad house. Doubled back a few blocks to this little Cajun ditty and SO glad I did! First of all, the guy working the register was beyond friendly. He was informative and attentive. A bit of a refreshing change from the cold shoulder I'm used to getting in New England lol after exchanging pleasantries and ordering he cordially gave me a free $8 dessert. Supreme! The seating is ample and the environment is thoroughly Cajun/creole in nature. Just looking at the food I knew it was going to be great. Made fresh as you order and properly seasoned. Great portions! I enjoyed every part of this place and thoroughly loved the food. Nice kick on the blackened chicken too! Enjoy those Caribbean flavors! Bon appetite

Yelp
I've seen this place a few times while walking around downtown and have never thought about stepping in and ordering food as I am not very familiar with this type of cuisine. Well today they were stationed in the lobby of the building I work in and they were offering a few different options, but I didn't want the same old same old (bourbon chicken which I'm sure without a doubt, is very good). As I stood there talking to them trying to decide what to order. They were very polite and helpful and offered me to do half the Chicken Creole and half of the Zulu bowl or really whatever combination I wanted. I gotta say I should have stopped in to get food from this place much earlier! Both of these bowls were so delicious and I can't wait to try their other dishes. Luckily their store front is a quick walk from work!

Yelp
Delicious food, large portions and excellent service. Highly recommended. Staff are very friendly.

Yelp
I judge how tasty food is based on my desire to eat the leftovers the next day. I've visited this amazing establishment 3 times, and each time was excited to enjoy it again the next day. Expect ample portions (hence the leftovers), and delicious, bold flavors with the right amount of spice. The Owner and her staff were extremely welcoming and friendly each time I stepped through their doors. Another bonus is that they are setup for online ordering, so it's convenient to place my order during a quick lunch or before I leave downtown to head home from work. 5 stars and highly recommended!

Yelp
The food was delicious with generous portions. The service was excellent. We'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Ready for authentic delicious creole and the most friendly people? Get here now! If you are staying in the Hilton or Hyatt, or just attending an event in the Greater Columbus Convention Center, just walk out past the Starbucks, cross the street, and follow the sidewalk down the right side of the Nationwide building and you'll be there in less than 2 min. I took a recommendation from one of the owners and tried the lux-bowl with spicy rice. When I sat down to eat, I opened the absolutely loaded container to see tons of protein, veggies, and some sauce. Got a 1/4 through it when I remembered the rice and started to dig down. Pow! More flavor and spice! Love it! I love spicy food and this was hitting! If you can't take the heat, stick with the white rice. Saved half and heated it up later and mixed it well this time. Eaten mixed it's much more like a traditional creole jambalaya. Still great as leftovers. The SECOND DAY (yes, a 2nd day!) I was lucky enough to catch on Mother's Day brunch and the Crawfish Etouffee. The other owner was happy to see me back and asked if I liked savory grits. I've had others in the past, but I hate to say yes to all grits because there is a spectrum from gag to amazing. She gave me a sample and one bite in and I was all for 'em. They handed me this delicious bowl of crawfish etouffee over savory grits that was full of shrimp, crawfish, and a great ratio of etouffee and grits. Bangin' lunch! Lots of food for the money and worth every penny. I only wished I worked in the area more often because these people are immediate friends and make excellent food. My only recommendation would be to make the crawfish etouffee exclusively crawfish and to include a great garlic bread.

Yelp
Janvier and her crew are absolutely amazing. Please stop down and check out this new place. They opened today and their food was so delicious. We had the jambalaya mac-n-cheese, the beef yakamein, and chicken creole bowl. The portions were amazing, food was hot and the service was like being served by a family member. The restaurant was super clean and everything was so well presented. We could hear customers asking questions about menu items and the staff members were super pleasant and knowledgeable about the food items. We recommend you try this place and we will continue to go back.

Yelp
Went here on my lunch break. Food is absolutely incredible and the guys working were super helpful and nice. Had my food in under a minute after I ordered. HIGHLY recommend this place !

Yelp
I grew up in the South and I'm pretty picking about my southern cooking. I thought the food was good and the portions were really big. More than we could eat.

Matthew B.

Yelp
Been here 3 times everything I've had has been awesome! Bourbon chicken, creole chicken bowl, and chicken po boy

Britney C.

Yelp
Ordered bourbon chicken for delivery. There was a good amount of food and the flavor was good. I requested extra sauce because of reviews saying the sauce was light and I kind of wish I hadn't. It isn't the sticky type of bourbon sauce that I expected, it was much sweeter. Overall I'd go there again.
