Creole Kitchen and Daiquiris

Visited friends and family in Houston, and they took us to Creole. The food was great, and I can definitely say "Food for your soul." Nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. They even have vegan options. The only downside is ...it is very small inside where you dine. Got a little hot inside. Would recommend getting an order to go. On the upside, the persons working the front counter were very friendly and personable. Thank you!

This has been one of the best experiences I’ve had! I’m always trying new restaurants and this is literally the BEST! The food was seasoned well…top tier delicious 😋!! Layla was amazing and greeted me as soon as i walked in! I ordered the Creole Heaven and a Tropical Sunset….and let me tell you … I’m in heaven!!!! Bring this restaurant to Dallas!! Like ASAP!!! Thanks ladies for an amazing experience!!

Highly satisfied!! The waiter was so helpful with our order she gave samples to try to make sure that’s what we wanted. She was very friendly as well. The atmosphere was amazing and the food and daiquiri was a 10/10 I ordered the loaded creole heaven my friend ordered the creole butter salmon and we both agreed the taste was amazing on both.

Everything was TOP TIER!!! I drove down from The Woodlands to try the Brunch and everything was great! Friendly staff, clean facility, and our food came out quickly and piping hot!!!!!! The Fish N Grits with scrambled eggs added were EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!! I will be back during the week to try the Creole Pizza and the Pasta dishes that I saw come out to other tables!! Thank you so much for an amazing experience!

My, my, my outstanding!! My family purchased the fried fish, chicken wings, fries, and mashed potatoes, and we ordered the Creole pasta. Thank you to the friendly staff, and the customers who came in were also friendly to have a conversation with. The atmosphere and food were superb 👌.

My first time here! Tiffany was so attentive!! This place was a vibe from the time I walked in! The loaded catfish heaven and the creole pasta was AMAZING!! Im a flavor person and whoever cooked this food was definitely the seasoning master! The flavor was so on point you can smell it before you taste it! The daquiri was great as well! Creole kitchen def didn’t disappoint!!

First time and this place is🔥🔥 had the gumbo jeaux, boudin eggrolls, and creole pasta. Tiffany was very pleasant and walked through the menu with us and her recommendations were ALL great! Food came out hot and fast. Will definitely be back!

Went last week and had some really good Cajun food. I opted for the loaded creole heaven that came with fried catfish, shrimp, ettoufé and I added a tropical daiquiri to try The liquor in daiquiri crept up on me and had me fighting for my life. Probably wouldn’t get that again. The loaded creole heaven was a bit on the salty and spicy side but it was overall really good. There’s like a cornbread dressing situation that’s served under the catfish that i could do without. Would def prefer rice instead. I also got the crawfish po’boy and the gumbo jeaux to-go and that came with rice, it was really good. Next time I will try the pasta. I heard that is pretty good as well.

Every time I go to this place I enjoy my food, but chances are someone I'm with may experience some sort of a problem. I tend to find myself selecting the "safer" items here (e.g. their fried food, the poboys, or wings) but every time someone has gotten the seafood heaven, they complain about the temperature of the food once it's given to them being lukewarm. One of my friends also got the pasta and felt her food was "warm" as well. My last visit I got the hot sausage poboy which is with the Patton's Hot Sausage .. so flavorful. They also had a mardi gras daiquiri that was really good but extremely rich paired with the food. Didn't even come close to finishing lol it kinda tastes like egg nog but better, I'm not a fan of eggnog. They always have great service, just wish it was a little more space on the inside because it's pretty tight.

While the staff was friendly and professional, I am gravely disappointed at the food. I ordered the Loaded Creole Heaven which includes 1 fish, 4 shrimp & seafood dressing. That was not seafood dressing by any means because there was no seafood! The food was piping hot which I appreciate but it wasn't an enjoyable experience. The building is cozy and the environment is chill. I won't be returning.

I went here for the first time today due to the hype from social media. Let's say I was very disappointed. As most reviewers stated...the lady taking the order was rude and seemed like she wanted to be elsewhere. We placed our order online so upon arrival it wasn't ready which was no big deal. The lady put dirty napkins in our Togo bag with our food. The place needs a good cleaning. The floors were sticky, tables dirty etc.. We ordered the wings and fries/bake potato with shrimp, chicken and sausage. The wings tasted like it was cooked in old fishy grease. The bake potato had an empty crab claw in it (pic attached) which I bit into smh! What if I chipped my tooth or swallowed it considering it shouldn't have been in the meal from the beginning. They are next to a gas station so parking can be a challenge at times. Overall, I think they have great potential if some changes are made.

I need to lower my ratings! The front counter rep shows no interest in customers and is flat out rude ! The food is good but there are tooo many places in Houston to eat that actually make you feel wanted and appreciated! The rep even made a comment about us not tipping. 1. We have to walk to the counter to place our order 2. We waited 10 mins (no exaggeration) before she took our order What exactly am I tipping??? I don't tip bad service. Save your time the frustration and order pickup

I have become a regular here. The food is consistent, always served piping hot and fresh. My go to meal is the fried fish with shrimp, fries and I love the hush puppies. I could've sworn it used to include toast which seems to no longer be the case. The service is good, they are very accommodating and acknowledge and honor special requests. I'm always satisfied and full after my meal. I definitely recommend Creole Kitchen!

Our first time coming here with my girls!! If you ever come here their egg rolls is a MUST HAVE!!! Egg rolls with the sauce that comes with it (sauce has a kick to it) but is so good!!! Their Watermelon & Peach Bellini daiquiri MIXED together is mouthwatering....mmm sooo good mixed!! Service by Meghan was great, very welcoming and was helpful!!! Their gumbo & pasta with chicken, shrimp & andouille sausage was also good!! Thank you for the recommendation Meghan!! We will be back when we visit Houston again!!

Greeted nicely. Ask for an al carte side of seafood dressing. Asked if I wanted a sm, med, or large. Asked for the medium size. Cost $25.98 absolutely not worth the price. The cashier stated that's a medium is considered two scoops vs the medium container size that is on display. Price gouging at its fullest.

The service was horrible. I have eaten here before and my fish wasn't done so I asked them to cut it in half and fry it hard, well they gave me under cooked fish a shrimp and over fried corn. The one thing I got for 35 bucks is attitude and a meal I will have to recook. I won't be coming back!

Excited to try this place. I enjoyed the Creole butter salmon and substitute the green beans for red bean and rice. Both had smoke turkey in it. The substitute was $2 up-charge. I ordered the boudin egg rolls separately and received a $6 reward in return I'm super excited about that. I opt to save for my next visit. My son really loved the salmon yet originally he didn't want anything. But he really enjoyed it. He gives the salmon a 10 out of 10!!!! No wait time. No military discount. Fast service. Great service. And better food. & LOYALTY LOYALTY LOYALTY CASH discount rewards!!!! Y'all know I love that!!! We will be back!!!

Another great find, thanks to my fellow Yelpers! This place is like a double edged sword. Good food on end...and killer daiquiris on the other. The service was friendly and inviting. I wasn't sure what to order, but that didn't matter. The young lady at the cash register offered some great suggestions and steered me in the right direction. The ambiance is casual and cozy. It's a perfect lunch spot. Take out or dine in available. I tried the Creole Butter Salmon dish: Blackened salmon over whipped mashed potatoes, under a white sauce. It also came with a side of green beans and bread. For my adult beverage, I tried the Tropical Sunset daiquiri. It was nice, sweet, and packed a punch.

Service was wonderful! Kim and Kay did great job explaining to our party of 7! We all enjoyrf the food. Everything was delicious. My fav was egg nod daiquiri!!! Def will return!!!

My first meal was order and arrived on time. The meal arrived hot and fresh. It was perfectly portioned for 2 people to share. The fish and fries were delicious. My only complaint was of the 6 fried shrimp which were not fried fresh. The shrimp had previously been boiled and fried. This made the item over cooked and over seasoned. I am interested in trying other menu items in the future

Food was very good -- absolutely no complaints there. My only criticism is that they don't have a public bathroom, so nowhere to even wash your hands: if they did, they'd get 5 Stars. [There were employee hand washing stations.] Sam was awesome with recommendations. Oh, to add, I was sitting near the kitchen and got some good looks in there. Spotless. All the stainless was clean and under/behind appliances- you could tell they pull them out every night and clean them.

The place is small, but has a welcoming atmosphere. My mom went to the restroom and it was filthy. She saw the cook in there and noticed she didn't wash her hands and headed right back to the kitchen. The problem is we already ordered and ate. If we had known before, we definitely wouldn't have ate. 1 star due to this insanitary health violation. I ordered the chicken & sausage gumbo, the creole pasta, and the voodoo punch. The creole pasta was mid, the Alfredo sauce was two watery and not thick enough. 7/10. Voodoo punch of course is koolaid. 8/10 I've had sweeter. Lastly the gumbo was beyond an underwhelming disappointment. For this to be a Nola inspired restaurant, I came in with high expectations because not everyone can make gumbo. It's not something I'd recommend.

Came here with my family after seeing it on my instagram feed. The restaurant is next to a gas station and not very big inside but is kept clean. The staff was friendly and answered all questions. The food was great, everything was seasoned well except the fried crab. The establishment is a bit pricey but what restaurant isn't these days. The daiquiris are super sweet just like I like them. The only downfall is the wait, but our food was hot and fresh once we received it.

The service was very good. The woman featured in the videos gave remarkable service and answered any questions I had. The inside was nice and you can be entertained by her cooking videos or listen to some music. They have Wing Wednesday and the wings are on sale not sure about the price per wing now but it is a deal! The food is made to order so expect a wait!

I read the reviews before I ordered and my conclusion was that the service was bad but the food was good. Once again, you all disappoint me. 1. The food is overpriced. There is no way around it. The portions do not match the price, even for a small business. 2. The fried food is salty, not seasoned. There is a difference. Flavors should balance. 3. The seafood dressing is both sweet like dessert and fishy like salmon. 4. The boudin egg rolls were decent if you enjoy mushy dirty rice 5. They WILL get your order wrong. 6. I am a gumbo snob so if you just enjoy brown soup, then you should like this. It is salty, onion, garlic, celery were nonexistent. And the portion size. Y'all, they served a $10 cup of gumbo in a "sides" Togo container with the rice. Make it make sense. All in all, I will not order from here again. There is entirely too much delicious and AFFORDABLE food in Houston to let these people play in my face.

Ordered on doordash and some of the better fried seafood (catfish and shrimp) and chicken (I got a single wing) I've had in houston. The batter was well seasoned but not salty. Even in delivery it came crisp. The fries are nothing to write home about but the side Ettoufee was delicious. I also love their Boudin egg rolls. Will return

The food speaks for itself. The food is so delicious here. Real Louisiana food in Houston, Tx. The place is small but cute with great music. The wait wasn't long at all but most importantly my food came out hot. That seafood dressing is a star all on it's own. It's sweet bit savory. It works well with the etouffee and fried fish. I think the prices are fair for this economy and quality they provide food wise. My only complaint is that the server who took my order. Acted as if she had zero patience for customers but she wasn't rude. It was her body language for sure and annoyed voice. I'll definitely come back.

The ambiance and service was great. Very nice people. The food on the other hand TWO THUMBS DOWN. The yams and macaroni BLAH lacking flavor badly. The collards were straight, nothing to write home about. The GRITS! The grits were EXTREMELY undercooked. Was more like cornmeal. The fried fish shrimp and wings was decent. I really want my money back.

My only complaint was their macaroni and cheese and the service is extremely slow. The food itself was delicous. We had the Creole Heaven and the Creole Butter Salmon. The seafood stuffing was by far the most delicious thing I've tasted in a very long time. I would definitely recommend this but ordering ahead is the only way to go.

Please save your money. Food was terrible. Never in my life had I had a flat shrimp poboy. 9 small shrimp laying side by side. The gumbo was so bland and look at the color! False advertisement! That small bowl of gumbo was $9 and the poboy $18.

For starters this place is connected to a gas station. So definitely no need to get fancy to come here. Instagram is where I saw this place The wait was fair. If my food is getting prepared fresh, I'll wait. Service was good. The food whether to go or not will be in a to go container. I came with some friends. I tasted everyone's food. - Potato Bowl. It was good, need more cheese but definitely a winner. It was even better the next day as leftovers. - I was very disappointed in the serving size of this $8 Mac and Cheese. It was way too small for the cost. Flavor was good but the Macaroni was a bit undercooked. -Cajun Pasta was good. The sauce seem the same as that in the Potato but it is a bit different. - Crawfish Etouffe was not good. It literally tasted like a very bland roux. It needs a lot of work. I make a very good Etouffe and can give a quick tutorial to get it right. - The fish was a bit burnt or fried in old grease to me. They serve Pepsi Products and only have Daiquiri. That Watermelon Daq tasted like a frozen juice drink even with the extra shot of Rum.

So , I got tired of seeing the social media thirst traps they post on their page , and I decided to try it for myself! The staff greeted me as I walked in and even helped me with placing my order. It's Wednesday, $.75 wings! Lemon pepper and garlic parm me, please add Boudin eggrolls and a peach lemonade! The freshness was unbeatable. You know the action you go through when you try to eat something really hot without burning your tongue and the roof of your mouth??? Yeah, that happened. Everything was delicious. The space itself was clean, there was music playing not too loud, just right. Please, Please , Please don't change the quality or the vibe!

This place fucked my stomach up to the max. They need to change the batter or something, hardly seasoned. Maybe they rushed it because they were ready to close, we did go 15 minutes before closing. Big Girl who took my order was helpful and explained what was on the menu. But I will not be back

Man I had the creole pasta and the egg rolls. Man that food was delicious. The staff was very kind and courteous as well. When I come back to Houston I'm definitely gonna make a stop

We were warn not to eat here but out of curiosity, we just wanted something small and quick from DoorDash. We ordered a small seafood gumbo and chicken gumbo. It was too much going on with and rice was a lil mushy. The DoorDash driver was wonderful!!!' Would be order again...Nope!!

Let me start by saying the pasta and potato is good but nothing like Louisiana food, really good flavor tho, I'm just pissed about this banana pudding, I support black business way to much and this banana pudding is disappointing and disrespectful this pudding is old, only one cookie and it's soggy, no banana like gtf outta here $11 for this trash is insane... idk when it's black owned I assume they know how to make such a simple dish

I had high hopes for this place!! The boudin egg rolls were good and fresh. The gumbo was not good and for it to be a medium size for $15.00... I felt cheated. There was hardly any meat in there. Not even a little. The roux was very thin and tasteless. I did like the fact that they had a drive through. I'll be back for some boudin egg rolls!!

Creole Kitxhen and Daiquiri stay far away from .. The food was good until I found a piece of hair in ny food.. The service was fine until I called abt the hair . I'm bald foreal and she told me they had hair nets on when I went back no hairnets said she as gone refund ny Mel but only did a piece of fish .. Poor customer service no accountability and then was nasty w Me ... I had 3 orders 2 wings and catfish order and u wonder why our restaurants can't make it ... service is a must .. The food was very flavorable. I had the Creole Heaven, and my wife had the Creole Pasta. The lemonade was very good also.The service was good and the place was clean.. I also tried the kool-aide.. awesome. I would definitely come again..

Food was amazing!! I order the seafood egg rolls and a bowl of seafood gumbo for my appetizer. For my meal I ordered the Creole Heaven that included a piece of fried catfish over seafood dressing and it was delicious. Everything was so good that before I left, I order a bowl of green beans, mc&cheese, and 4 chickens wings to go. I usually don't leave reviews but it was a must because my food was so good I didn't get a chance to take a picture. I definitely recommend 10/10. I will be back...

Ordered my food online last night and was advised it would be ready at 10:30 . I ordered through u er eats oddly enough it never gave me a status but took my money. I tried calling them and no answer and the mail box was full. I arrive for pick up on ti E and the doors are locked. I m pick and eventually I'm let in btw they close at 11. There was another customer having a similar issue. They hadn't even started on my order that i placed 40 minutes ago. I waited in the car with my family for another 20 minutes. We got the food i had the seafood heaven and it was good but EXTREMELY spicy. I like spicy food but it was damn near not edible my wife could not eat hers as she had the same. My daughter loved the fish sandwich but the fries were soggy. We won't be returning.

after seeing reviews and driving by the place several times, we finally made it a dinner date. the inside of the restaurant is small but inviting & comfortable. great music was playing at a very reasonable volume. the food was cooked to order & delicious. my order: crawfish pies, small gumbo with the rice on the side (i always like to add my own amount of rice), & punch my friend's order: potato bowl, punch we loved everything. the food and service was on point. them crawfish pies y'all. you definitely wanna try those. and the punch is really good. reminds me of eating dinner at home with a big ol' glass of kool aid to wash it down. the only con was that i wanted to try the meat pies but they were out of meat pies. that's ok. i'll get that on another visit. keep up the good work. i will definitely go back to try other items too. y'all better get there.

Tastes great, superbly seasoned dishes. The fried fish had an excellent taste, no condiments needs. Only gave 4 stars because they were out of the dressing and I wanted all the smoke today. No worries, I will surely return.

The first time I had gone, I ordered a fish sandwich and added a few extra toppings to my sandwich. The fish sandwich was a little on the dry side and they didn't add the extra toppings that I requested. My fries were cold. Then, I decided to try them again a second time by ordering a seafood platter. They messed up my order once again. They failed to add my shrimp to the order that it had come with. I addressed the situation to the young lady and she must've passed the information to a young man that came to me with incorrect information in regards to my order. He said I only ordered the fish dinner. I asked for my receipt which showed EXACTLY what I ordered was correct. They need to check those orders before taking them out and learn how to handle customer service. Those prices are a little high for what you get. The fish was a bit salty, I just won't be going back!

Bad business came waited in the drive thru for 30 min two cars infront of us got they food we get to the window and wait 15 min no one came and acknowledge us or anything, we had someone walk in to see the problem and the lady response with an attitude saying " you can walk back to the car and have everybody come in order " DONT COME HERE !

Horrible service the lady with the Afro man Afro is very rude. Waited in the drive thru for 30 mins never received service.

What a delightful place and a delightful owner who served us. It's small but packs a great taste. The crawfish étouffée had a very good authentic flavor. The seafood cornbread was awesome. Put both of those and blackened catfish all together and WOW! I give it 4 instead of 5 for two small reasons, I don't really like eating this quality of food in disposable containers and the étouffée was a little to thin. A little corn starch and water would have thickened it up a bit to make it more creamy texture. I will go again next time I'm in Houston.

Fried seafood platter does not miss. Creole heaven is great with the fried catfish. Skip the mac and cheese. Red beans and rice didn't taste seasoned at all when I tried it a few months ago. Shrimp and grits is delicious. The grits are perfect and the cream sauce sets it off but for $28 it's extremely overpriced for the portion size. It should be double the amount of grits and like two more shrimp.

This place was delicious! I had the fried fish and seafood dressing. I also tasted a friends pasta and we shared greens. Everything was AMAZING. I will say the most flavorful dish was the dressing, but again, everything was good. Only drawback is, it's connected to a gas station, so seating is limited.

I ordered through the drive thru I placed an order for 2 creole heavens.. I must say the food was good very flavorful I did enjoy that much of it. The only downfall was that I left the restaurant extremely frustrated... the service I received was HORRIFIC HORRIBLE TERRIBLE... I could scream and pull my hair out! I waited over an hour... eventually ended up parking and going inside the restaurant to see the cook and the girl running the drive thru arguing she walked out and shortly after so did he... which left the guy at the front to run the back and the front which he completely ignored everyone waiting in line because he was busy doing the cooks job... a young lady in front me hadn't even placed an order and was there waiting at least 15 mins before she walked out. Do some re hiring because that STAFF is terrible! BUT THE FOOD IS GOOD just bad service.

This is my second time ordering from this location. The chicken was crispy and fried to perfection. I just wish the waffle was whole instead of small mini ones. It was tasty but they forgot to add the syrup, since it was to go. I am not sure if I was suppose to ask for it or put it into my to go door dash order. I haven't had any other options from this restaurant. It's my fav order

Y'all....the flavor is immaculate!! I got the creole butter salmon with the mashed potatoes and collard greens for my meal and everything slapped!!! The greens were a lil salty but the taste was amazing. The garlic bread was on 10 too but I'm trying to unbig my back so I couldn't eat all of it but I was definitely fighting the urge. I also got an order of the fried okra, unfortunately it was a lil soggy because of the way it was packaged in the plastic container(to-go order) but it was seasoned decently. Their daiquiris taste amazing too. 10 out of 10 I will definitely spin the block on this one.

I ordered the gumbo that has the crab. I was disappointed because in the past all gumbo i have eaten and personally made you never put whole crab claws in the gumbo. It is the norm to be able to eat just the crab meat w/o having to pick thru and crunch on the crab legs. Mike Kusbel

The food was AMAZING from start to finish! I purchased the creole heaven & instantly fell in love with the flavors! Jordan who took my order was very helpful from start to finish! I will definitely be back to try a different item. If I could rate it higher, trust me, I would!!
