"Most local ice cream shops have a plant-based flavor or two, but at Crepe & Spoon in Northeast Minneapolis, everything on the menu is vegan. Expect classics like mint chocolate chip, vanilla, and coffee, plus harder-to-find flavors like ube (a purple yam) and rosemary. Although all of the ice cream at Crepe and Spoon is nut-based, a nut-free sorbet is typically on offer." - Eater Staff, Stacy Brooks

Amazing ice cream flavours and their cones are Fresh and crispy. I was delighted to try the rose water cardamom flavour and the wild berry flavours. They also do crepes - with plant based ham and steak and can make them vegan. I was really impressed with the quality and will definitely be back!!

Believe the hype: This is the best vegan ice cream in the metro and beyond. It’s made fresh from scratch right on site. Whether you like the classics (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry) or you have a more adventurous inclination (rose water cardamom, earl gray bergamot) — your palette will be happy. Be sure to try the crepes! This place does its savory as well as its sweet. We loved the cheeze steak and ham-n-cheeze.

Service is good 👍. Decent amount of flavors to choose from. However $10 for these two small scoops? Cmon man…. Lol. That’s a single in the surrounding ice cream shops. I should’ve just gotten the pint for $12. Parking is hard to find if it gets busy.

SerpAPI
Only and beat place to get a vegan root beer float! Ice cream is always solid but I strongly recommend getting at least two crepes! Owner is super nice, staff is always friendly and parking looks intimidating but it’s usually super easy!

This is really great vegan ice cream! I've tried a lot of vegan ice cream and this is the best I've found in the Twin Cities. It is creamy and leaves no weird aftertaste like many of them do. No grittiness, just nice and smooth. The flavors are great as well. We've been in a few times and have tried the Mint Chip (my go-to), Coffee, Strawberry, Lemon Bar, Pistachio, and the Rocky Road. They are all delicious and I would highly recommend all of them! My fave was the Rocky Road - they are clearly great at chocolate ice cream. The waffle cones are always delicious too. The service is efficient and helpful. We'll continue coming back - thanks for doing what you do!

The ice cream at Crepe and Spoon is honestly the best I have ever had. I am vegan, but I have taken plenty of my omnivore friends and family there, and they agree. It’s amazingly good! Even in this past winter, which was insanely cold, I found myself craving their pistachio ice cream lol! I couldn’t find anything anywhere that even came close to it. I was so happy for warm weather and their reopening!!

Small little shop that offers dairy-free/vegan ice cream as well as sweet/savory crepes (coffee too)! While there isn’t a physical parking lot, street parking wasn’t difficult to find. The shop is barely noticeable however except for a sign on the side of the building. Food is great! The person working was very kind and fulfilled our order in a timely manner. Great place to stop by if your near!

Best ice cream ever and it's dairy-free! They also have amazing gluten-free waffle cones that taste better than regular waffle cones I've had. 10 out of 10 for ice cream! Their chaco tacos are also insanely good and worth a few extra bucks for the experience and flavor!

Yelp
In my humble opinion, this is the best and most excellent ice cream in the MSP area. Unfortunately for us, there's only one more week until they close permanently (01Oct, 2023). :( I do not live in MSP, but I'm here a few times every year, for @ a 30 day stretch each time. I first tried them 4 years ago, and they've been consistently amazing across the years. I just spent the past six weeks in MSP, and I tried my best to come here at least every other day knowing it'd be my last Crepe & Spoon tastings ever. The owner had expressed his desire to close a couple of years ago, but luckily he prolonged what would eventually be the inevitable. This time it seems like it's the real deal. So one last trip down memory lane before they close their doors forever. How does Crepe & Spoon stand out from the rest? The innovative flavors, the quality, the creaminess, the consistency, the gluten-free waffle cones, and the fact that EVERYTHING IS VEGAN!! I've brought quite a few non-vegans here and they were none the wiser. They have much more than just ice cream, as their name suggests, but helado is what I always gravitated towards. Everything slaps; even the classics like vanilla and chocolate were top tier. However, my top 3 are: Pumpkin Bar - sweet & creamy pumpkin flavor with the right amount of spice; perfect for autumn. Pairs well with leggings and flannel. Lemon Bar - tastes just like the homemade ice cream that my abuela used to make when I was little. Irresistibly inviting! As per my video on my ig page, I snagged the last drop of this throwback fav. No regrets! COOOOOKIEEEE MOOOONSTERRRRR!!!! As a child who grew up watching Sesame Street, I could relate to Cookie Monster and his afeccionado for cookies (or anything sweet, tbvh). My love for their Cookie Monster ice cream was instantaneous; blue lips and all! On this last hurrah, the owner surprised us by adding some chocolate fudge into the recipe, and OMG!!! It was what I never knew I wanted or needed in this mixture! Give me 3 scoops, please!! So if you're anywhere near the MSP area, make sure to stop by Crepe and Spoon before 01Oct, and buy them out of everything that remains: crepes, ice cream, shakes and other drinks, comic books, stickers, shirts, and more! Check their ig page for last call flavor announcements. And best of luck to Michael and his staff on their future endeavors!

Yelp
We ate at Hai Hai and (according to Google), Crepe & Spoon is 82 feet away, aka right across the street. I have this weird theory that most Asian meals should be followed with ice cram. So this suited me just fine. The shop isn't big but it's cute. I was disappointed that there were only about eight flavors to choose from. I got a double - mint chip and mocha. My husband got something I don't remember lol. The ice cream itself was kind of meh. It was really sweet even for ice cream. It didn't have that same mouth feel that really good ice cream has. It seemed a little off texture wise like maybe it had been too warm and then frozen again. I don't know. I am an ice cream connoisseur. This was just ok ice cream. HOWEVER. The waffle cone I got was AMAZING. I would love to be able to just buy like a 12 pack of those cones (would highly recommend this store start selling packages of cones!). They were clearly fresh made. It was so light and airy for a cone, but it held up structure wise and it still had a wonderful crisp as well as a beautiful flavor that kind of reminded me of a stroopwaffle. So cones, 5 stars. Ice cream, 2 stars. Service was OK but not good. 3 stars.

Yelp
Cute small locol ice cream shop. They have a good ube flavor ice cream. I try the mint with chocolate chip ice cream. I think the mint is a little heavy and it kinds of throw off the taste. The chocolate chop taste bitter, but it might just be the mint flavor throwing me off the taste. The ube flavor was really good it taste like the tri color Asian dessert. The service was good, just a little slow because there were only two employees.

Luke G.

Yelp
It was very hard for me to like this place. This is my first experience with vegan ice cream and I was expecting less of a downgrade than to normal ice cream. It wasn't inedible, but lemon-rose flavor tasted like chalk and chapstick combined. There rose flavor was very pronounced and not in a good way. I'm glad I only got a half scoop ($3.50), because it would have been hard for me to finish it.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Ambiance is very typical for an ice cream parlor. Inside is a lot hotter than outside, so we just ate in our car. Service was standard. Prices are about double for the amount you can get. Wanted to try some dairy free ice cream from a new place, but I wouldn't recommend here. The ice cream just tasted alright. I'd recommend milk jam or MN nice cream for your dairy free needs. The waffle cone here was the best part, but for $5.50 (+$1 for the waffle cone) you'd expect a scoop that fills more than the bottom of a cup. And when you pay, they automatically have 18% tip selected on top of their very expensive

Yelp
Great vegan ice cream, I have the lavender lemon sorbet. Worth stopping in especially after a dinner at hai hai

Jenny G.

Yelp
Such a great option for crepes and ice cream for those who are vegan or have food allergies! I have an egg allergy and have been searching for the best vegan crepe out there and this is it!! I had the cinnamon sugar crepe with vegan butter, cinnamon, and sugar. Yum! The only thing that would make this place better would be a Nutella version like the ones I ate in France! Will definitely be back to try out the ice cream.

Bill H.

Yelp
Top notch excellent vegan ice cream!!! Wish it wasn't closing in October. Still time to make it there if you haven't yet! Pistachio Almond is outstanding.

Liz P.

Yelp
Looks like a fun place to check out different flavors of crepes, ice cream, shakes and drinks! Decided to try it out with a friend since I was in the area. Mask was required in order to go in and order which is good they are taking precautions during this pandemic times. You order inside and then pick up outside their window. Service was fast and friendly. Tried the banana cocoa crepe with a scoop of pistachio ice cream. Oh so yummy! Will be back to try other items from the menu for sure!

Yelp
OVERALL: Great vegan dessert place! FOOD: we were so surprised to see that everything on their menu was vegan, but we were pleasantly surprised! We just wanted something sweet to end our night and this was it. They had a ton of different ice creme flavors and a lot of savory crepes. Only 2 crepes could really be considered "dessert" crepes but no worries! We selected a chocolate ice cream and a lemon butter crepe. I LOVED the crepe. It was just the right amount of flavor. For the ice cream, it didn't have a ton of flavor and it was an icy texture vs creamy (to be expected because vegan). PRICE: $3 to add on a scoop of ice cream to a crepe. Our crepe was about $6 ATMOSPHERE: definitely an old house repurposed into a storefront. Not a ton of seating so expect to take your ice cream to-go or stand. SERVICE: 5/5 the guy behind the counter even offered to split our crepe and ice cream into 2 separate containers for me and my friend to share!

Yelp
We stumbled upon Crepe & Spoon after going to dinner across the street for a friends birthday. "You had us at ice cream!" Will be back for the crepe part. They were open until 10pm on a Saturday night which seemed late, but with the lively area... I'm sure they want to get some of that traction. This was a vegan ice cream shoppe! I typically drink almond milk, but never had vegan ice cream before. We decided to share a coffee ice cream sandwich. The cookies are made local (Vegan East) and the are chocolate chocolate. (Almost brownie like... drooling!) They were awesome, but somewhat overpowered the coffee flavored ice cream. Still tasty and perfect to share. The staff were friendly and quick. There was a little seating inside and out for you to enjoy your treats. The crepes looked great and will be back to try!

Joe W.

Yelp
Best ice cream cone I've had in years! I had the Berry flavor, which was excellent. Can't wait to go back! What a delight to have so many vegan & GF options that don't sacrifice flavor or quality!

Xenia M.

Yelp
Highly recommend the pumpkin seasonal special! The crepe is filled with pumpkin purée and and the pumpkin ice cream is 100% vegan! I typically don't like things that have a coconut base, but this vegan ice cream was great-- the flavor is very subtle. Staff here are also super friendly !

Yelp
A vegan creperie and ice cream shop in Minneapolis? Yes please! This small shop in far Northeast Minneapolis has a wide array of ice cream, cookies (from Vegan East) and sweet and savory crepes (in-house batter with meats and cheeses from Herbivorous Butcher). I had a double scoop ($8) of ube and pistachio ice cream. The ube rocked it---creamy, subdued sweetness and just plain delicious. The pistachio didn't impress me. It had a texture edging toward sorbet (watery/icy instead of creamy and rich) and flavor that seemed rose water-ish sweet. I didn't taste any pistachio at all. The service is friendly, but the space only has a few tables, so you might have a hard time eating a crepe here if it's busy. All that said, Minneapolis is becoming a vegan paradise and Crepe & Spoon is a strong reason why.

Yelp
This place is so fabulous because it is all about ice cream and crepes- sweet (and savory) goodness! Just recently, they switched over to all vegan. Happiness is ice cream, and if it's all vegan, it's making me even happier! The majority of their flavors are gluten free, but be sure to ask. Taste test what you might like- you'll be surprised what some of those flavors do to your palate and make your mouth ask for more! They use almond, coconut and cashew for their bases. This makes the ice cream creamy and full but not like you're eating heavy cream that's frozen- helps to keep things more frozen, which is great in a cone! The flavor choices varied from traditional chocolate and mint chocolate chip to fun novel exciting flavors like lemon saffron, ube (think purple sweet potato) and what may be a new classic, Cookie Monster (a cookies and cream flavor). The joy continues when you can decide if you'd like it to be in a cup, a cone, a waffle cone (they have gluten free waffle cones!), or, oh yes... an ice cream sandwich using Vegan East cookies (they have a gluten free chocolate chip option)! So, what if you wanna eat a crepe? Oh, so enticing to watch them make those lovely wheat-based crepes- so pretty! They have some cheese and ham from Herbivorous Butcher, they have jam, they have banana and cocoa.... such simple but delightful choices. At the moment, no gluten free option.... Cute interior with a bunch of vegan goodies to buy other than ice cream and crepes- Dandies, chocolate sauce, chocolate and t-shirts. Folks who work here are patient with your indecisiveness as you taste test and contemplate the flavor combinations. Prices are fair. Scoops are as expected. Perfect to have a double, but I won't judge if you get a single or a triple. Yum!

Yelp
Amaaaazing. We stumbled upon this place and couldn't believe our luck! My husband has celiac and is allergic to gluten and dairy so you can imagine how many dessert places we find where he can eat anything, much less EVERYTHING (except a crepe or two). All of the ice cream is vegan and delicious! Flavors we've tried: chocolate sorbet, cinnamon, pumpkin, mint chocolate chip, coffee, banana and friends, vanilla. ALL incredible. Creamy. AND we get them in a gluten free WAFFLE cone (haven't had one in YEARS) AND we get vegan hot fudge (usually; depends on the ice cream flavor)!!! What?! Is this place even real? We have yet to try the crepes (can you blame us after what's going on here?), but we attempted to once and they were out of the gf batter. So they are definitely popular and sound delicious too! Seriously. Go here. We go on 2 mile+ walks from our apartment and "mysteriously" find ourselves here all too often for good reason. Small place. No seating inside for eating per their COVID process. When the weather is nice they have a picnic table out front though.

Kara D.

Yelp
It's a literal treat to have Crepe & Spoon in Northeast! It's such a cute spot that makes vegan/plant-based crepes and ice cream. It's right by Grumpy's and Hai Hai, so you can make a whole night of enjoying this block of Northeast. I love that Crepe & Spoon has partnered with Herbivorous Butcher and other local vendors to offer both sweet and savory treats. Currently, you can order inside with masks and social distancing, then wait outside for your order to be called at the window. On this last trip, we got the elote crepe, ham and cheese crepe, a coffee+fudge ice cream taco, and a scoop each of pistachio and rosewater+cardamom ice cream. We enjoyed everything! I'm already craving the super savory ham & cheese crepe. Both flavors of ice cream were delicious and delicate. The coffee choco-taco's shell was soft but overall very satisfying. The treats don't come super cheap but they're worth the local quality.

Brian S.

Yelp
One of the best non-dairy "ice cream" places in the nation! Maybe not quite as good as Mr Dewie's Cashew Creamery in Berkeley, but really, really close (and it's because this place also uses cashew milk in their base, which really sets them apart from all the rest). We stumbled across this little shop after eating dinner across the street, and we were super glad we did. All but one of their flavors are dairy-free (and vegan), which is great news for those of us with a dairy allergy (or who just don't eat dairy). Not only that, but the flavors are all yummy (I liked their banana cookies and cream flavor the best). They also have a dairy-free waffle cone, something that's hard to find. Prices are reasonable and service is nice. If you don't eat dairy but are craving a cool treat, this is your place!

Sam L.

Yelp
Rosewater cardamom is to die for. Ube and berries flavors were a little sweet but also good. The staff was nice. Rosewater cardamom alone is worth stopping by

Bethany W.

Yelp
Good ice cream, nice flavor choices and certainly doesn't taste vegan or chalky/Icey like some other vegan options do! I had gone wanting one of their cookie ice cream sandwiches, which were listed on the menu but I was told they didn't have cookies that day. Also an expensive scoop of ice cream, even more so if you want a waffle cone. Waffle cone is good, quite crunchier and a harder texture than non-vegan options, but one scoop certainly does not fill the cone up.

Parker W.

Yelp
Looks like your typical hipster NE ice cream spot - sadly has an additional pretentious and cold flair. Ice cream left us disappointed - serving sizes were so appalling my friends and I laughed when we ordered a half-scoop each and received a gumball sized portion for $3.50 + 20% tip. Have never met a store owner that appeared less enthused to be living. Sadly I would recommend folks go down the street to Fletcher's or Dream Creamery as an easy alternative.

A. P.

Yelp
Amazing selection of vegan ice cream! We stopped in for a couple scoops but decided to get a crepe to share also. I first tried the pistachio and black walnut ice creams, both delicious, but opted to go big with an ice cream sandwich. They gladly offered to make it with two different flavors (apparently sensing my indecision). I went with black walnut and peanut butter & jam. Good call. The cookies they use for the ice cream sandwiches are from a local place, which I always appreciate. The ham & cheese crepe we split was a great choice, too. The crepe itself was nice and thin and freshly made for us. It was a nice savory balance to ice cream we indulged in. Definitely good for a quick bite to eat. The prices seemed on par or slightly lower than other ice cream places in town. I hope Crepe & Spoon can win over many more customers, as they did me.

Maggie H.

Yelp
I went here for the first time when it was pretty new. I've since been a couple more times and very recently since they've gone full vegan! Always great flavors and something new to try. Buttered popcorn ice cream, rosewater and cardamom, ube (plum), Cookie monster, coffee ice cream, strawberry cheesecake made with Vegan East cheesecake! All wonderful and creamy. I always show up here just for dessert and usually don't have room for a crepe. I have sampled the banana one though and the crepe is fluffy and fresh (made in front of you). It's a very small shop so in the warm months it gets really crowded, not much room to relax. Employees could be a little peppier but I usually show up close to close

Victoria G.

Yelp
Drop everything you are doing and go to this place. Their ice cream and waffle cones are amazing. The staff is friendly. The location is super cute. My only regret is I didn't have enough room in my belly to try the crepes. Next time!

Shannon G.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Crepe & Spoon for like a year... Picked up a pint of pistachio ice cream for dessert tonight. This was soooo goood!!!!! So creamy and delicious! Definitely want to go back when they have ice cream sandwiches available.

L N.

Yelp
I love this place, it has everything I want from a neighborhood cafe!! However, I wish the hours were different on the weekend - I'd love to get a crepe and coffee for breakfast on Saturday or Sunday, but they aren't open until 3pm. I think it would greatly increase business if they were open earlier on the weekends!

Gabrielle R.

Yelp
Oh. My. Gosh. Every damn thing is vegan!!! I'm currently chilling with my feet up enjoying a crêpe with my homegirl Kirsten. I still cannot believe that is vegan. I got the cheesy bacon and it's super cheesy usually vegan cheese doesn't get all saucy and drippy but this is the complete opposite of any vegan cheese I've ever had. I told her to keep my tab open because I think I want some ice cream I'm looking at the list and I'm thinking lemon saffron. Rachel helped me and my friend Choose what we were going to eat and she was the sweetest person ever. The place is super clean easy to find and really cute inside. If you don't go here you're missing out. Not to mention it's the best damn crepe I've had!!

Quinn N.

Yelp
So if you read my reviews, you know I'm vegetarian and don't consume dairy regularly. Crepe and Spoon is a COMPLETELY vegan crepe shop!!!!! The have sweet and savory crepes, as well a 8 VEGAN ice creams (except there were two with dairy ‍). The savory crepes made with "ham" or "cheese" or "bacon" is all from Herbivorous Butcher, who specialize in vegan meats and cheeses. The ice cream selection was amazing and unique, I got to try Coco Nib, Basil, and Ube, and I could've tried more if I'd wanted to since they're super open to sampling ice cream! After drooling over the menu I finally decided to get a crepe with lemon lavender jam, roped with basil ice cream which was very refreshing. Crepe and Spoon is a hidden gem with barely any seating so I recommend either going with one friend or grabbing your treat to go. I will definitely be back to try more ice cream and a savory crepe.

Kristina K.

Yelp
Keep in mind that I am writing this review a mere 2 months into the establishment being open. There are bound to be some kinks to work out. That being said, on to the review! I was super excited when I heard about crepe and spoon due to my vegetarianism and dairy allergy. Alas, due to having gluten issues I could not try any of their crepes. I opted to try all the flavors of vegan Ice Cream instead! My partner had their featured crepe of the day and it was a bit disappointing. Due to our time in Paris we have pretty high standards for crepes and it simply did not meet them. The batter itself was a bit too thick. It bubbled and led to a spongy texture. It missed the nice crispiness it should have. My partner also noted that the crepe batter was fairly sweet which although not bad, it was unexpected. Sadly, the main point against the crepe was the filling. My partner said it was flavorful enough but there simply was not very much in it. The ratio between crepe and filling was off which led to mouthfuls of the crepe dough alone. Now on to the Ice Cream! They had a rather impressive display of vegan Ice Cream (as well as two dairy versions) and most of them were gluten free as well! I tried the caramel, coquito, mint chocolate, black sesame, rose cardamom, and chocolate coconut. My favorite flavors were the black sesame and rose cardamom. They were both unique, flavorful, and fun! They really stood out against the rest. I would happily gobble down more of either flavor. The caramel tasted almost like a vanilla, I really did not get the caramel notes at all. The coquito was fairly tasty but relatively one note. The chocolate coconut and mint chocolate were decent enough, they were exactly what you would expect from either flavor. My partner also sampled one of the dairy varieties; he had the blue cheese Ice Cream and noted that he could not taste the blue cheese at all. That is pretty disappointing as the idea itself is genius! The restaurant itself looks like it is in a house from the outside which was a bit offputting to be honest. The inside is very clean and bright. However, it is also very empty and not very inviting. I do have to mention that I LOVED the random assortment of knicknacks behind the counter, especially the inclusion of board games. The girls working were friendly and approachable although the one with the buns seemed a bit timid. Overall I did enjoy my visit to Crepe and Spoon but I feel like it is still growing and evolving. The prices are pretty steep (we spent $30 total) for what you get and the ambiance is lacking. I really hope they continue to grow as a business though because the idea behind the establishment is great! P.s- let me know when you have gluten free vegan crepes available, I would love to add on to my review!

Jennifer K.

Yelp
I Love that this place is open late for a treat after dinner! The only thing i would change would be that their sweet crepes need a bit more sugar to to the base of them and it would be nice to have more dessert options that did not involve ice cream, like a fruit and chocolate or something - otherwise great!

Nate M.

Yelp
Small vegan ice cream spot in NE. They also have crepes and different ice cream tacos or cookies at times. We tried a Banana & Franz cone and enjoyed it. Being vegan it does have a more icy texture than classic ice cream, but that doesn't take away from the flavor. Good overall and will be back from time to time.

Jennie S.

Yelp
Fantastic! The crepes are the perfect size for splitting and the perfect warmness for putting ice cream on top. I'm not normally vegan but if this is what vegan tastes like, ill take it! I will gladly pay some extra cents for them to use all compostable materials, too. Lovely little sunny place for a treat

Camellia M.

Yelp
OH MY GOD. I LOVE THIS PLACE. I'm an ice cream lover so obviously i had to go check this place out. The thing about this place that i definitely appreciate is that it offers majority vegan ice cream as well as some unique flavors that are not found in other shops ( i.e. ube). I personally got their banana and nutella crepe with coffee icecream. Keep in mind that i do not like coffee icecream whatsoever, but this place honestly changed the game. I have never had coffee icecream like that in my life. Definitely a place to check out. Side note it also has food type crepes such as ham and cheese but i never had those so i can only speak about what i got

Erin B.

Yelp
Amazing! I had no idea it was vegan until coming to write this review. So delicious, hand made ice cream. I would recommend.

Alexis M.

Yelp
First off, how wonderful that this place exists! Growing up veggie in Minnesota, we didn't have many choices. I was so excited to learn of this place and to visit. The crepes we ordered were great, particularly the pesto. Wow the garlic is SO GOOD in it. We liked all the ice cream flavors and cones. My toddler ate his first ice cream cone here! However, we thought the ice cream was a little too icy and not creamy enough. We get a lot of vegan ice cream when we travel, and we liked this one, but weren't totally blown away. Also, we brought home a bunch of ice cream sandwiches. Again, they were good, but they were really solid, even after letting them sit out for a while. They needed some softness to the cookies or something, which was disappointing given the price. So we will absolutely come back, especially for the super yummy crepes, and we will try ice cream again at some point.

AJ D.

Yelp
I love crepe and spoon! And I love it even more, now that they've added seating. Even if we only come here for dessert, it is very hard for me to resist the crepes. I love savory crepes, and it is unusual to find much of a vegetarian selection, much less vegan. However, the styles of the savory crepe are sometimes a bit off. The last one I had was called Pesto Sausage, or something along those lines. It was okay, but as a person who eats a lot of pesto, I found the pesto to be really lacking in flavor. I have made my own vegan pesto on several occasions, and I can assure you, the flavor does not need to be lost to make it vegan. Also, the "sausage"was made from jackfruit, but it didn't really have any sausage flavor. (I do think that's where the fennel came from, but it didn't help much.) That being said, over half of the savory crepes I've had there have been absolutely amazing! I've never tried one of the sweet ones, they use the same crepe, so I have no doubt that they are wonderful and tasty. And now on to the ice cream. The ice cream is absolutely the best reason to come here. It is creamy and delicious. All of the ice cream is vegan. But if you didn't know that, I'm not sure you could tell. I eat both vegan and dairy ice cream, and this is the closest to dairy that I've had. It is very rich. I highly recommend stopping in.

Mis K.

Yelp
I saw this place listed on HappyCow.net and knew I had to stop here on my visit. I mean, vegan crepes and ice cream in one spot? C'mon! So I went today. They were super friendly and my food was as amazing as I imagined. Definitely surpasses the hype in my mind. Highly recommend the rose water cardamom ice cream. It may just be my new favorite flavor.

Yelp
Love having a vegan ice cream shop with unique, delicious flavors especially since it's been so hot out. Ube was amazing. Blueberry Lemon was also super good. Friendly staff and they really pack their cones and pints which is much appreciated. We will be back for more.

Yelp
Awesome waffle cone, avocado lemon was exceptional. Tried the soy sauce caramel but I had to get ube.

Yelp
Review for ice cream only, I'll need to come back for crepes because they sounded pretty good and looked true to what I've had in France. None of the ice cream flavors impressed me so I should've known better not to get a scoop and ended up with the funfetti, which I didn't realize seemed to have coconut I didn't like. My husband got chocolate sorbet and that was really good though, so I ended up eating a lot of his.

Yelp
My wife and I have been wanting to go here for months, and we finally did it, riding our bikes from St. Paul. I heard great things about their vegan ice cream, so I expected to get that, but when we saw that they also have vegan meat and cheese crepes, we had to get them. We both ordered the special, a Gouda cheese and pickled onion crepe. I thought it was fantastic. Just the right size for lunch and affordable as well. We were too full for ice cream, so we'll just had to ride up there again. Definitely worth the trip.

Yelp
I'm not vegan so this rating might be a little unfair... I'm comparing this to crêpes I've had in Montreal. The chocolate didn't taste right, the only good thing was the pancake part of the crêpes.

Yelp
I love ice cream and crepes and so Crepe & Spoon is one of my favorite places in Minneapolis. The savory crepes are very filling, and the sweet crepes and the ice cream are great dessert options. This place is perfect for a meal or a treat! I love to order one of everything and then split everything with a friend. The prices are very reasonable and I wish had the time to go more often.

Yelp
I love ice cream. Being dairy-free for the past decade has meant that I rarely get to enjoy it. Certainly not in the way everyone else has. Of course recently there have been more products to enjoy at home to help curb that appetite...but I can't tell you how nice it is to be able to actually go OUT for ice cream!! Crepe & Spoon has a delightful variety of delicious treats, and they have small tasting spoons on hand to help you figure out which one to choose. I've visited 4 times so far, and have tried a different flavor each time - loving each one just as much. It's a tiny little shop in Northeast, with a bench inside - but no tables. I haven't been there yet since the weather has been nice, maybe/hopefully there will be seating outside!? There is on-street parking surrounding the shop, but no designated parking. It's not a crazy busy neighborhood though, so it's not a big deal. The shop owners are very nice and passionate about their project. I feel good supporting this new small business!

Yelp
I am so excited to see this place take off in NE! They specialize in vegan food items. We stopped by for a scoop of ice cream. I was in denial that it would be any good and was very pleasantly shocked! They have an assortment of different ice cream flavors to pick from and on the board, it will say what kind of milk it came from. They do have a few dairy options but they let you know what they are. The workers were so friendly and answered our questions about their ice cream options. They have a few seats available inside and a little bench. If you find yourself in the area, give them a try!

Yelp
We stumbled on to Crepe & Spoon after our phenomenal dinner across the street at Hai Hai. None of Hai Hai's deserts interested us, and ice cream seemed to hit the spot. The flavors are intense, especially the chocolate. Mint chocolate chip was also very good. Crepe & Spoon is a great addition to the bustling NE food scene.

Yelp
Loved the two savory crepes I got on separate visits, the ice cream sample was delicious, and I've received very friendly and attentive service. I'm hopeful for an eventual seating expansion, so that I can sit down to enjoy with friends!

Yelp
Girlfriend and I both tried ice cream sandwiches this evening. Very friendly staff and the places looked clean. We love the salted caramel cookies from Vegan East, but they were frozen. The ice cream was softened so if you even attempted to eat it like a sandwich (impossible with a frozen cookie), all of the ice cream would squeeze out. So basically we each had a scoop of ice cream, and two cookies for later. Ice cream was good. For a place with spoon in the name it was odd to only see forks on the counter... maybe they were just out. *** Be aware of you use a credit card to pay, the tablet has an 18% gratuity already selected for you

Yelp
The gluten free crepes are outstanding, and the Herbivorous Butcher cream cheese is a great addition

Yelp
Crepe and Spoon just opened 4 months ago that give vegan lovers a nice option for ice cream and crepes. Yes...this is a vegan ice cream and crepe shop (although the crepes are not GF). While the ice cream is very good, you can tell it's vegan, so if you're a fan of dairy in your ice cream, just be forewarned. But don't let the vegan aspect keep you away. Their food is still delicious. Their Banana and Friends flavor is the ice cream equivalent of banana bread...SO good. Crepe and Spoon also gives you the option of adding a scoop of ice cream to any crepe (they wrap the crepe around a bowl and put the ice cream scoop in the middle). I took full advantage of this option by ordering the Banana and Cocoa crepe with the Banana and Friends ice cream. It was very cocoa heavy, but still very flavorful. If you are a vegan, or you have a vegan in your life, take them here and they will love it.
