"The Crescent Moon is known locally for its excellent Reuben sandwich. (Legend has it the Reuben was invented across the street at the former Blackstone Hotel, now the Cottonwood.) In recent years, the restaurant has expanded on the classic sandwich with items like Reuben egg rolls, a product of the restaurant’s annual Reuben Fest. The Moon is part of Beer Corner USA, a quartet of connected, beer-focused businesses that also includes Huber Haus (which serves Bavarian snacks and German beer in boots), Max & Joe’s (which focuses on Belgian beer), and beer store Beertopia." - Sarah Baker Hansen

Decided to try this place for the history aspect. Seems like a chill sports bar with a wide tap selection. The Reuben: very saucy, loaded with meat and kraut. Overall it was good, but I had some textural issues with the way the beef was cut. I guess I've never had cubed beef on a sandwich, and now I know why. Certainly takes away from the experience. Chips and salsa as a side were as good as chips and salsa from a sports bar can be. Fries were crispy, well seasoned, and plentiful. This place was exactly what I needed it to be, and it was worth the try for the history-adjacent aspect.

Google
One of my favorite places in Omaha. Amazing beer selection, and always cold and fresh. Service is outstanding consistently (getting beer refilled within 30 seconds while it's busy). Food is fantastic every time and there are lots of great options on the menu. Will continue to come here on a regular basis.

Google
Got a Philly Steak Sandwich for good luck before the Super Bowl. The sandwich was delicious and the Eagles are now Super Bowl Champions. Amazing Staff behind the bar. I am told that their Rueben is among the best in town. I will be back for sure.

H Williams

Google
"Des Y" was our server and I would like to acknowledge her amazing service! She was attentive but not over bearing and made sure we had everything we needed for our dining experience. Thanks to Des Y, you gained 2 more new regulars!

Google
I'm pretty sure my husband and I caught this place on a bad day, but overall, it's not bad. Service was odd, and food was OK. My husband got the Ruben, which is supposed to be famous at this place, but it failed to impress. I got a smash burger, which was good. Overall would try again...maybe

Travis Truong

Google
The Blackstone Rueben with fries were delicious especially the reuben. I noticed that the reuben uses chopped beef instead of sliced beef which elevates the sandwich. The server was super friendly and the inside had a lively bar feel.

Google
7/24 getting the Reuben here is an absolute must. A classic sandwich in the city where it was created, they do a great job, but a lot of the other food items are lackluster. This is definitely more of a bar than a restaurant, and outside of the Reuben, I would stick to the beers. They have a wonderful selection of great beers! The basement, though, is another beast- they have fantastic German beer selections, and of course, you can trade your ID as collateral for The Boot. The Boot is a giant glass boot filled with your choice of beer- with a lot of fun rules that go along with drinking it.

Google
Ordered a pork tenderloin sandwich with extra pickles. It came bun + pork tenderloin. No pickles. No lettuce. Nothing. Dry AF. Flavor was good, but pretty poor eating. Server was OK, aside from getting the order wrong, but could have been better. Waited too long for him at times.

Senor M.

Yelp
Read through the majority of reviews and can add the following. This (IMHO) is the best Ruben sandwich around. The city has many varieties but this one takes the prize. Pro tip: upgrade the fries to garlic fries and add a side of dill ranch. In regards to the negative posts, the service at lunch was spot on. Sitting at the bar is the move but the dining room had attentive service. The beer selection is massive and they have daily specials. I'm from out of town and came for the history and storied Ruben. It was worth the trip. The bar (pun intended) has been set very high and this is what I will rate other versions off of.

Lesley M.

Yelp
I agree wholeheartedly with my husband's review. This was not how I anticipated reviewing based on all of the feedback I've heard about this place. Yes it was busy, and yes, they might've been shortstaffed, but it still stinks to sit and wait over 30 minutes for food and not have a very attentive server. I kept hearing the hype of how awesome their Reuben was, but it was not worth it for me. I personally didn't think the meat had much flavor, and what flavor I could taste was the toasted bread and sauce. I will definitely try again because some of their brunch items looked delicious, and the atmosphere of the bar looked pretty cool if you wanted to watch a local college sport on their TVs.

Derek M.

Yelp
We heard from multiple people how this was the best for a Reuben, but sadly I was unimpressed. Yes, the place was very busy for brunch that Saturday when we stopped by, but our party of four had to wait over 45 minutes for food to start off. Our server was not very attentive, and we had to be on the lookout for him to rapid fire our drink and food orders. The Reuben was dry, and the bread was burnt. Overall, it was not what I was hoping for. I wouldn't mind stopping by and trying other food options because I did like all the beers that they offered on tap.

Marcus G.

Yelp
Came here since Rueben's were recommended from this place. Luckily when we came, there were unlimited mimosas and we love a good unlimited deal. The server was super attentive and chill, And i dug how cool the place was decorated. We ordered two Ruben's, which were actually really good. Would def come back.

Nicole E.

Yelp
Decided to come and try the famous Rueben sandwich here. Sat ourselves at a booth in the back of the bar. It's a bar. Thinking the bar seats might have been a better choice? No one has said a word to us for 7 minutes, yet. Then a waitress came to grab us some drinks. Ordered their famous Reuben with their seasoned fries and a turkey Reuben with upgraded onion rings. $32.85. Have to get used to being charged state and city taxes They no longer offer sweet potato fries. :( The original corned beef Rueben is quite flavorful and good. The fries aren't bad. The turkey Rueben has real oven roasted turkey meat in it, the sandwich isn't as good as the original Rueben by miles. They charged us for the small ramekin of not so tasty BBQ sauce. The onion ring dough is quite heavy and panko like, not for me.

Yelp
This week, our team had a work happy hour at Crescent Moon since a lot of people were in town, and it was such a great spot! The vibe was awesome, and they even had giveaways, which added a fun twist to the experience. I'd never tried the food before, but I got the garlic fries, and they were amazing--perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of garlic. The only hiccup was the service; the server was a bit slow and forgot the ranch a couple of times, but overall, it was a great experience. Definitely a place I'd go back to!

Marla C.

Yelp
This is a place I frequent when I'm in town for work. It is a bar and grill that offers food and drink that is a regular hangout for the locals. When I normally go, I just get drinks. This was my first time getting food. I have to say the food was pretty good for "bar food". I am on a pescatarian diet so I couldn't eat everything they offered but I shared some cheese curds with my coworkers and for my entree I got a burger. They offer a lot of burger options. I chose the Swiss and mushroom and added guacamole. The burger was cooked well and not dry. For the side they offer chips and salsa. The salsa was good but some of the chips were a little stale. The drink was good and they offer happy hour specials. I got tequila so that is always good. I will be back and I look forward to trying other food options.

David E.

Yelp
Beer? Theres beer here? Why I guess there is! I was distracted by the amazing Ruben sandwich. You can't go wrong with having this in the town this sandwich was invented! The ambiance here is awesome. The kind of place I want to be in when I'm in the mood for a beer. Friendly staff, comfortable seating at the bar, and easy parking.

Alan N.

Yelp
Oh baby. This Reuben sandwich was the bee's knees. It was delicious and I can see why they claimed to have invented this sandwich! We asked the bartender to make our beer red! And it was... interesting. Omaha is known for their red beer!

Andrea T.

Yelp
I decided to try their famous Reuben, which came highly recommended. While the flavors were good (and I love Reubens), I was disappointed by how little corned beef was on it. It felt more like I was eating a sauerkraut sandwich with a hint of meat. However, my husband enjoyed his meal - he had the chicken wrap. The service was fine, despite it being crowded, our food came in a timely manner. Overall, it has a great vibe and is worth checking out for the beer and ambiance, but if you're going for the Reuben, you might find it a bit lacking in the corned beef department.

Yelp
Date of visit: November 25, 2023 We were staying across the street and wanted something simple and easy so we could settle back into our hotel room for the evening. The menu here at Crescent Moon Ale House was varied and featured sweet potato fries, so why not give it a try? Service was a bit spotty, it took quite a while for us to be waited on and then visits from the server were few and far between--good thing we're low maintenance! While the food was decent, the aforementioned sweet potato fries somehow managed to taste like...nothing. Weird, right? My burger on the other hand was pretty good and the cheese curds were top notch. With a large number of options in this area, you could likely do better than Crescent Moon, but likely worse as well. Perhaps the ale is where it's at and the food is an afterthought?

Genna C.

Yelp
Found this place when I was visiting for work. A very unique spot with friendly bartenders and a huge beer list from all different breweries. If you're a beer fan I 100% recommend giving them a try.

Olyvia K.

Yelp
First time going to Saturday brunch at Crescent Moon and I am so happy I went! From the extensive reasonably priced brunch drinks to the also reasonably priced tasty food, you can't go wrong coming here for brunch on the weekend. I got some French 75s to drink and they were so good! Our server was so nice and always made sure we were still doing well. I love all of the decor inside and they played lots of feel good music such as The Beatles Here Comes the Sun. I love how much character Crescent Moon has inside and their diverse menu. If you enjoy beer, then they have to have a beer you'd enjoy! I had only been here years back for St. Patrick's day later in the day and I am so glad that I decided to come back!

Cam S.

Yelp
The vibe inside was certainly divey although that's not a knock necessarily. They're famous for the "Blackstone Reuben" and, being close to the site of the original Blackstone Hotel location, they purport to make the sandwich the way it was originally made and intended. The Reuben wasn't tongue-punching my tasterbox like I'd hoped given the hype... I've had better in Milwaukee and NYC admittedly. All the individual ingredients are pretty garden variety, but, that's not to say it's bad. It's still a decent run of the mill Reuben. My server seemingly forgot I was there which was disappointing to say the least. (Wasn't even crowded)

Bryan V.

Yelp
We came here Sunday night after a long day and my girlfriend really wanted soup. We're staying at a hotel close by and our choices were limited based on how late it was. My girlfriend grew up around Omaha and suggested we come here since she came here a lot during her college days. I saw the Blackstone Ruben on the menu being highlighted and since I'm visiting from out of town, I had to get it. As you can see from my photos there was very little meat. This was something pointed out by other reviews. I was wondering why my sandwich was tasting so tangy and it was all that kraut and no meat. Not going to lie, this was a disappointment and I would not order again. As for the BLT and the potato soup my girlfriend ordered, she liked them both and was happily satisfied. But my girlfriend says everything tastes good and we don't see eye to eye on a lot of things when it comes to food. The pickle chips were the best part of the meal. They were cut just right, not thin and just thick enough. The batter didn't overwhelm the pickle. They were salty as they should be. My girlfriend and I agreed this was the best thing we ate here. But there wasn't enough ranch for all the pickles. If you like deep fried pickles, they do them right here. We sat in a booth and the service was fine. If it was just me alone, this would be a 3 star review, but my girlfriend said her food was good, so I took that into consideration.

Kimberly L.

Yelp
Sat at the bar alone to try the famed Reuben sandwich. This sandwich melted in my mouth. Along with the tots, it was a good portion where I could finish the entire meal and not feel sick after. I still think about how toasty the bread was and the corn beef melted in your mouth!

Abu B.

Yelp
I popped into Crescent Moon for a quick lunch today and I was just delighted at the Thursday special. The Korean BBQ Bahn mi. What a tasty sandwich. The pork had a great smoke to it and a little spicy kick. The kimchi slaw was such a nice touch. What a great bite. I love the moon I've been going for years now, the staff is always kind and on point even when it's busy. The moon is an Omaha institution. GO TO THERE!!!

Melanie M.

Yelp
Cheese curds and pink moon are to die for! The food here doesn't disappoint! You can't go wrong with any of the food here. I've had the fries, reuben sandwich, cheese curds, and pickle chips. They've all been delicious, especially with a side of their dill ranch. Prices aren't bad either

Eric Y.

Yelp
Came for the "best" Reuben in Omaha, made using the original recipe from the Blackstone Hotel where the sandwich was reputedly invented and which stood across the street. About that Reuben - it was well constructed, with nice ratio of ingredients. The great corned beef was chunky, funky and moist. There's a load creamy thousand island dressing mixed with slaw and kraut. And the marble rye was tender and toasty. All good. But the cheese, oh that cheese, was a slimy foul tasting spread. I think they used processed Swiss cheese - nasty stuff. Marred an otherwise solid sandwich. BTW, the onion rings were really good!

Nathan D.

Yelp
Quick | Wing Night | Chill Quick - overall, the experience was quick and easy. We sat down at 7 p.m. on a Thursday in late September. The place was 65% full. From sitting down to ordering drinks and food, it was about 8 minutes. Therefore, the service was pretty quick. Wing Night - Thursday Night was 25 cent wings, provided you ordered an alcoholic beverage. I had 15 wings and was relatively full - the wings came in wing and drumlett form. Chill - Overall, the place is pretty chill. It is a great spot for a quick bite to eat, a good place to watch a game or hang out with friends. Pro tip - overall, it is a pretty standard bar. What you see is what you get--solid service, solid food, but nothing special. Why not 5 stars? - It is not anything special. It is a pretty standard bar with good service. Given it was their special wing night - I was surprised by how underwhelming the wings were.

Tracy S.

Yelp
After watching food network on all the good eats around Omaha, how could we not try the original Ruben? They have an extensive beer and cider menu as well as mixed drinks. The Orange Sunset was good. My hubby enjoyed a local cider. The Ruben was... just ok. To be honest, I make better at home. But if you're craving one, by all means this is a decent one. Just not the best I've ever had. The coleslaw was very good--I really enjoyed that. The highlight of the meal was the garlic fries!!! Now that's something worth coming here for--get the garlic fries! And be sure to check out the funhouse mirror on the way to the bathroom.

Travis T.

Yelp
The Blackstone Rueben with fries were delicious especially the reuben. I noticed that the reuben uses chopped beef instead of sliced beef which elevates the sandwich. The server was super friendly and the inside had a lively bar feel.

Elisa M.

Yelp
Think of a dive bar that has various beers on tap (along with other available drinks) and you have the ale house! We were staying across the street and stumbled in on a Tuesday night and was greeted the moment we walked in be door. We arrived on pint night where they had a special running in which you got to keep the glass, the beer changes for each event. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the beers being offered however I found a local beer I would drink again and again. The folks I was with enjoyed a glass of wine and a shot of something or another. When we arrived the kitchen was already closed but the other folks said the food was good. Overall it was great to be able to taste local beer without having to go too far, and the staff was friendly, welcoming and stayed on top asking if there was anything else we wanted before our glasses were empty.

Amanda R.

Yelp
Super friendly staff and fast service. I was craving for a good burger and fries and the moon did not disappoint. There fries were spicy but not to spicy that you cannot eat them. Good ranch and good deals during the week.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Get the Blackstone Reuben sandwich! You won't regret it. It's the perfect portion, not greasy, and full of flavor. The service was also amazing and super friendly staff. The vibes were great here! I'd definitely come back and recommend to my friends and family.

Bob S.

Yelp
I saw on the food network that this was the original place where the Reuben sandwich was created. So on my roadtrip I stopped by to get the Reuben to go. As I was driving there I called in the order. As I arrived minutes later the sandwich was ready. I felt it was made quickly. I didn't real stay but the place had the nice familiar feeling of a local bar I have been to regularly. I had the Reuben a few hours later for dinner when I stopped to rest. The flavors were quite appealing. The pastrami was plentiful and the onion rings were the typical big and greasy bar onion rings. I like this place and wish I had more time to sit down and check it out.

Ben D.

Yelp
Great beer selection and great reuben. This place claims to be home of original reuben recipe that lives up to the hype. The reuben is served on rye bread stacked high with thousand island dressing and sliced pickle. Its savory balanced out with richness of the thousand island dressing. The beer list is great tons of options of local national varietys.

Monica D.

Yelp
Wow this was very underwhelming, how do they have so much publicity for the "best Reuben in Omaha". That sandwich was beyond sad with little meat and what tasted like the jarred sauerkraut. The wings are the only thing that keep it from one star, as the price is hard to beat on wing night and they have a variety of flavors. The service was slow and we had to flag her down whenever we wanted to order, needed silverware, or wanted the check. We sat in a booth which AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you want to avoid back pain. Super uncomfortable with its hard wooden bench to sit on and a piece of plywood as your backrest.

Linda N.

Yelp
Crescent moon is a fun and laid back place. The beers are good with plenty on tap and food is tasty. Service is always friendly. This is a great spot for a gathering after work or a night out. Everyone always seems to be having a good life.

Jose C.

Yelp
I stopped in for some lunch while on a road trip to Denver. I wasn't really excited to really eat anything in Omaha. Dining at the Crescent Moon definitely made me change my mind. Service for the most part was great. The guy working behind the bar and a few tables had a really great personality. Our sever wasn't too bad but forgot to ask us if we wanted Mayo, lettuce and tomato on our Pork Tenderloin sandwich. So instead we got this plain sandwich with just the bread and the pork. The pork itself was very tasty, but it definitely needed the condiments to make a decent sandwich. I ordered their Reuben sandwich. This was hands down the best Reuben sandwich I had ever tried. I will admit, I haven't had many, but now I will more willing to try some in my hometown. The marble rye looked beautiful and had a was perfectly toasted. It had plenty of corned beef with sauerkraut and 1000 island sauce all over the meat and then topped with Swiss cheese. Truly an amazing sandwiches. My wife also fell in love with the few bites she had. Their Reuben sandwich is definitely a must have when in Omaha. I'm not sure when I'll be back in Omaha, but when I ever return, I'll without revisit the Crescent Moon.

Sarah C.

Yelp
I've visited Crescent Moon twice now. Crescent Moon has a casual, local neighborhood bar feel. It's quieter during the day, though gets busy at night. I really like how many beers they have on tap, with lots of great local options. The bar isn't huge but has some seating in addition to the tables and booths in there. The first time my boyfriend and I visited, we enjoyed trying a few of the beers they had on tap and the bartender was super friendly, and talked to us a bit. We enjoyed the reuben bites that we got, too, and had a great time. The next time we went back recently, we had a very different experience. I liked the options on tap and ordered the Boulevard ginger lemon radler. I recently ordered it at another bar, but it didn't taste as cold or fresh here, and I was a bit disappointed in the quality knowing it's a good beer that I really enjoyed elsewhere. I didn't want anything heavy to eat though there weren't many light options on the menu, so I ordered the spinach artichoke dip, but it was a bit oily. I don't think I would order it again here. The bartenders took our order pretty quickly, though they were talking badly about customers that all of us at the bar could hear, which was a bit off-putting. Instead of staying for another beer like we had planned to try more of their tap list, we decided to go elsewhere. I may go back again eventually just because they do have good beer options and for the first bartender we had, though I was very disappointed this visit because of enjoying the first so much.

Tracy L.

Yelp
This was my first time at Crescent Moon, and I had no idea what to expect. I had no idea that there were 3 other bars within this one bar. That was really cool. The food was fantastic. I loved the mushroom Swiss burger and the seasoned fries. The beer list was the best part. There are so many to choose from. I enjoyed a sour and a mint chocolate stout. During the weekend, it does get crowded. Expect a little bit of a wait.

Nicole C.

Yelp
Hadn't been here in a loooong time but when a friend was having an informal going away party, I jumped at the chance. I was a bit worried about parking after work on a Friday but at 5pm it wasn't bad yet, found a great spot behind the place. While I was tempted to go for the famed Reuben or even the Reuben egg rolls, I opted for the shrimp basket - one of the Lenten specials. Came with half a lb of breaded, fried shrimp, French Fries, coleslaw and 2 hush puppies. It was all great and the perfect amount. I don't drink but I did have a couple ginger beers which was a nice alternative. They had a nice kick. Our server was on top of it and when we left, it was very convenient to each pay individually right at the table. I won't wait so long to come back!!

Lauren H.

Yelp
It's more like a 3.75 - but where else does one go on a snowy Omaha night, but a street narrow and with more foot traffic mid-thick? The Blackstone. Crescent Moon to be more specific, and because the man loves his Rueben's. Personally, eh... only if the wind is blowing in from the core, and on a day of the week ending with "T". Pass. So I try my all-time favorite sandwich, a classic BLT, and I'll add a Blackberry Cider from the multitude of taps. For the side, garlic fries but apparently they're holding the garlic? Slightly disappointed in that, but the crunch of them semi made up for it. Their ranch... has never been my favorite, but it could be yours. I was told, although those sweet potato waffle fries were winking back at me, that they were "very good", and not so "sweet potato-ee in this form"; always a bonus. Where they lose me is music so damn loud, you can't hear the soul next to you. It's like they want to be a bar, but then they just want to be a kitchen. I generally don't eat meals without conversation, so could just be a me thing on wanting to hear near.

Mary B.

Yelp
Rueben sandwich originated here? I ordered it and it certainly had plenty of corn beef but where was the sauerkraut? The sandwich was very tasty so no complaints there. The fries had a spicy flavor on them. I ordered ahead and pick up was easy and on time.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Great selection of beers but the Reuben is a showstopper. The salad instead of fries as the side was substantial as well ! This Reuben sets a new standard, I loved it. Absolutely delicious.

Care N.

Yelp
Love this place! I felt so nostalgic - having worked a few years across the street and having many a tasty lunch here at Crescent Moon. We had great beer choices, privacy and so much laughter on an afternoon mid-week with fabulous chill yet professional service. Loved the apps! GOOD PLACE. Fond memories. And now happy review to share

Joy P.

Yelp
Fun relaxed bar and good bar food. Server did a great job! Would definitely come back when in the area.

Jessie S.

Yelp
My only -1 star is because parking around here sucks. It's a neighborhood that is best explored on foot. This establishment is claimed to be the birthplace of the Reuben Sandwich. We've been here once before to have a drink when staying at a hotel down the block. Hubby, of course, got a Reuben. And sweet potato fries. He wasn't a huge fan of the fries; they were luke-warm and kinda squishy. The sandwich was good. He said it wasn't the best he's ever had, but it was good. I had a fancy grilled cheese with bacon. It was wonderful. I'll probably get it again if we ever eat there again. (We don't live in town.) Cool place. Our waiter (he was bartending, too) was an awesome guy. Wish I caught his name. Whoever works on Monday days; great guy. The decor is also great. The aesthetics are perfect for a bar/grill. Prices are decent. You won't be getting a crazy-good deal, but you won't lose your paycheck, neither.

Stacy B.

Yelp
Great local bar in the Blackstone district. Ale House Burger is yummy and of course find your way to C.M. during Oktoberfest...best fest in town!!

Sara F.

Yelp
How have I not reviewed this yet?!? Best place for Reubens (that's right, I said it, come at me bro, lol). The sleeper part is the brunch. I usually come at dinner during the week and had missed this gem but a Sunday lunch visit (goes 10am-3pm) was a nice intro. They have the traditional mimosas with some fun Bloody Mary's for brunch. The menu has a good variety but you can also order off the typical menu. Best thing ever....SMOTHERED TOTS! Holy heart attack. Crispy tots covered in thicker, tasty, sausage gravy, and cheese. Yum!! Drinks and food are priced super reasonable too. Will be back for the millionth time soon.

Dean V.

Yelp
Came here before a StormChasers game. Finally, I tried the world famous rueben. The gf had the grilled cheese. Limited menu due to the polishfest going on outback but did not disappoint. The reuben was filling, meaty, and tangy. The grilled cheese had good sourdough and a bold taste from the garlic butter. The sourdough makes it an adult grilled cheese. We also had the pierogi. Fried pierogi was the best one. The Bavarian pretzel was soft, warm, and salty. Paired well with the spicy queso dip. Staff and crew were friendly and courteous. I will definitely come here again.

Calley K.

Yelp
Packed house and still had great service and GREAT food. Fries were fresh and amazing, as was the sandwich. Cold beer. Great atmosphere with tight seating but not so much that I felt crowded. Definitely recommend!! You won't regret it :)

Karen M.

Yelp
Great selection of rotating on Tap beers, including flights. Good pub grub food- especially the sandwiches. Try the green bell rings, they are outstanding. Lots of different special events. Tuesdays are pint night, Thursdays are Wing night. Sometimes they have live music One of our favorite go-to pubs with friendly staff and good service

Katrina M.

Yelp
Rating it a 5 solely for their Reubens!!! I love Reuben's and I was so excited to try the place that had the OG recipe. I've only ever had their Reuben foods so that's all I can go off of, but their Reuben week was the best week of my life. I will definitely be spending this coming year's Reuben week at crescent moon as well. Also, their pink moons are my favorite cocktail. Besides the Reuben's the concept of Huber Hause downstairs is fun too and I love that they host so many events. (Ps can I have the recipe to the Reuben soup)

Kaitlin C.

Yelp
Best bar food in town with great draft beer options! Loved the nachos and as always I recommended the fries green pepper rings for your side. Fries are crispy on the outside and soft and mashed potatoey on the inside. Check the managers special board at the front on your way in for the daily specials (or their Facebook page).

Sophie Y.

Yelp
This place was mentioned in the visitor's guide and so we went! It's right across from the Cottonwood hotel in Blackstone district. I know nothing about the area except there was a Blackstone tax on my receipt. Super friendly waitress and fun atmosphere with soccer games on. The sandwich was ok, definitely not the best I've had. Perhaps it's a Nebraska thing that the corned beef were in chucks instead of thinly sliced. TONS of 1000 islands dressing with sauerkrat and I felt like eating salad dressing. Menu said thickly cut fries but turned out they weren't cut thickly. Maybe different expectations? Lots of beers options. Parking on street meters.

Jake S.

Yelp
Stopped in to crescent moon tonight to celebrate Mardi Gras with their hurricane cocktail deals. I got one hurricane before being able to get refills for only $4! What a steal! To continue with the theme I enjoyed a Cajun chicken sandwich- fire. The service has been helpful as they have stopped on top of our refills. Definitely will be coming back for karaoke night!

Sharon G.

Yelp
We came to visit from out of town today (1/7/23) for a funeral. Reading Google reviews we thought this place would have outstanding food. We placed an order of two Reuben and a porkloin sandwiches. All the orders came wrong from the kitchen and the server (an African American woman) tried to make it right and was really nice. We stayed a couple of hours to chat and then asked another server named DIANNE to get us a diet coke. She rolled her eyes and went to grab the other lady (who had already told us she had clocked out about an hour and a half ago). She seemed really upset about having to serve us and get us the coke so we decided to just leave. As we were walking out she didn't even acknowledge us. We said thank you, and she looked away and kept silent. I was walking with an elder disable family member and my husband and she remained incredibly dismissive. As a result we came right back to ask her name to make this review so someone addresses this situation with her. I can't imagine how would anyone would like to come back to be treated this badly especially with their family. We really hope this is not a discriminatory practice or bias, as she was white, and her peer server was not, neither am I. We will make sure to escalate this encounter to the Bussines Bureau if necessary. Food wasn't even that tasty either. The reuben sandwich was okay but not the best.
