Ultra-Popular Arab Bakery Reem’s is Opening in the Ferry Building | Eater SF

"I visited (or learned about) Jeweled Rice, a pop-up art show at North Oakland’s Crisis Club Gallery that showcases many riffs on spiced rice dishes from the South, Southwest Asia, and North Africa (SSWANA) region; the installation runs until the end of August." - Paolo Bicchieri

Crisis Club is a perfect little haven for queer freaks who love art. They have a wide selection of clothing, jewelry, zines, stickers, trinkets, and so much more, all made by local artists. They have gallery shows every 1-2 months, and collaborate with other artist collectives and galleries. They host community-building events like draw nights, free drop in D&D, teen zine workshops, and more. I highly recommend checking them out!! The location is wheelchair accessible, though the front door can be difficult to open and has a small lip. Staff are always willing to assist with holding the door open. The bathroom is also ADA accessible and the space is generally very open inside, though it can get crowded or tight with events and there may be limited mobility. Staff have offered to move things for me or ask other folks to move if needed, which is always appreciated. I love crisis club so much

Really rad, special spot with zines and art by cool people. Super rare and intentional space that hosts events that are actually accessible to everyone. Love getting to find stuff on disability justice or queer & trans love on the shelf ❤️

Amazing collection of work by Bay Area artists. They host community art shows and events and have a great little shop with clothes, comics, stickers, jewelry, etc...
