The 20 Best Sandwiches In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"If you’re punctual and don’t mind standing (the bar has no stools), Cote’s Happy Hour is a great way to affordably eat and drink at an expensive restaurant. But it's also the only time you can try Cote's “shicken” sandwich. It's a Frankenstein sandwich. The patty is made from ground chicken—but the center is a small disk of diced shrimp. It's an impressive feat of sandwich engineering. Happy Hour—or “magic hour,” as they call it—is only available at the bar, which fills up fast. So get here right at 5pm to claim a comfortable spot and order food, because they sell out of that sandwich often." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino

Big juicy hand battered to-order chicken with the perfect crunch ratio and delicious sauces. Sandwiches are well balanced too with fresh accompaniments. I normally post nicer photos but I couldn’t wait to eat first. On top of that, the staff (maybe owner?) are super sweet. This is the type of establishment that makes neighborhoods great, glad to have them here in Winter Hill.

Just tried the crispy chicken at this spot and I'm in love! The tenders were amazing. The place has a great vibe, and the staff are super friendly. Sara was so funny and cool, and Maroune was incredibly kind, offering us some samples since it was my first time there. Seriously, I'm already planning my next visit❤️❤️

Don’t forget about Crispy Chick!!! We were in search of a good chicken spot… We found a great one. Crispy Chick is an awesome spot for real good fried chicken. It’s painted orange walls have a 70s flair😇 There a several seats around the counter if you wanted to eat there. Walked in and there were several customers waiting for their order. THIS IS A GOOD SIGN THAT THE FOOD IS FRESH!!! placed a variety of items; Owner/ operator came and introduced himself- very friendly. Apologized for the wait- which was not necessary but very kind. The chicken was great: Tenders were juicy- not dry Biscuits- slightly sweet that’s addictive 2 piece chicken dark meat- hit and juicy 6 piece wings- the wings were not skimpy; Came with thick ranch; Bbq sauce was great as well. Whenever I’m in Boston, I’ll be sure to stop by.

My new go-to spot for old school fried chicken. Been ordering from this place at least twice a month whenever I’m craving for fried chicken. Cambridge and Somerville don’t have many great casual fried chicken options, and this is easily the best I’ve found so far, plus the prices are excellent. Like KFC, they use a pressure fryer, which means juicier meat and skin that’s crispy without being overly greasy. The breading has just the right thickness, and their mayo-based sauces are perfect. They season more lightly than KFC (which I prefer), and my go-to pieces are the drumsticks and thighs. The wings and breasts aren’t bad, but they’re not on par with the other cuts. The only thing I didn’t like was the rice bowl with tenders. I ordered it for delivery, so it might not be a fair comparison, but the tenders arrived a bit soggy and the coleslaw was bland. Potato wedges were amazing though. Still, I haven’t seen better chicken meal deals in the area in a long time. Highly recommend giving them a try.

I ordered two rice and chicken bowls. The Mac and cheese was weird, the cheese sauce was grainy like if they had put a couple spoons of their mashed potatoes the cheese sauce. Chicken was super dry and not crispy despite the name- I can ignore the crispy part since it did take some time to get home but it was pretty tough and flavorless, definitely no seasoning. The mashed potato’s gravy just tastes like salt. The bbq sauce tastes just like sweet baby rays. I like jays, just thought I’d mention what it tastes like. The coleslaw is alright, slightly sweet, nice crunch. The pico de gallo is spicy. I did not know that. It tastes like it was made with a salt water brine. It was, in fact, not cool, crunchy, and refreshing. I will say it is tangy though. I’m kinda mixed on this- I’ll just say it’s not bad, just not what the menu says. Overall the food was pretty mediocre, I’ll give the benefit of doubt for the incredible dry sawdust-in-your-mouth chicken and say it’s because it took a while to reach me But everything else was basically frozen tv dinner quality. Except frozen food doesn’t make you wait over an hour.

From the moment I stepped into Crispy Chick, I knew I was in for a unique experience! First of all, the atmosphere is clean, welcoming, and very well-organized, making you feel comfortable immediately. The staff is professional and friendly, especially Sarah, who was extremely helpful and whose smile added such a positive vibe to the whole visit. Now, the food—oh, the food! The fried chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside while tender and juicy on the inside. The seasoning is spot-on, giving it a rich flavor without being overwhelming. The tenders were equally amazing—soft, flavorful, and cooked just right. Every bite had that natural chicken taste enhanced by the restaurant’s special blend of spices. The dipping sauces provided were also excellent and complemented the meal perfectly. What really sets this place apart is the management. Marwan, the manager, clearly cares about every detail, from the quality of the food to customer satisfaction. His dedication shows in every aspect of the dining experience, making it feel like a top-notch, personal touch in a casual setting. Overall, Crispy Chick is a must-visit for anyone who loves fried chicken done right, and the service from people like Sarah and the guidance of Marwan make it unforgettable!

Yelp
This is the best fried chicken I have had since I've moved to Boston. I'm a black woman from Detroit, and I know my chicken wings!! These wings are seasoned extremely well, and not greasy. The breading amount is just right, and the meat is fresh. The Mac and cheese reminds me of my own Mac and cheese, baked with real cheddar. Not only would I recommend the food, but the service was phenomenal. The chicken was ready quickly, and the owner was so kind to me. He wanted me to have a good experience since this was my first time in. Please support this small, local business!

Yelp
Hit or miss, the fried chicken itself is good but for an 8 piece they gave us all thighs, no breast, no drums, no wings for some reason? We also got the tenders which were very plain and ended up soggy and not crispy at all. I think the biggest let down were the sides which tasted like frozen dinners reheated, did not taste fresh and wouldn't doubt that it was pre-made. Even with the letdowns, I would try the chicken again because the seasoning and batter had a homemade taste.

Yelp
Good price, chicken was crispy, flavorful. It was just sitting around to long. Seems like it wasn't very well run, guy taking my order was taking my change from a $20 out of a plastic bag under the counter & his pocket?

Yelp
I was really looking forward to try the food from Crispy Chick. Sadly to say that the food was kind of disappointing. The side dishes had no taste whatsoever from the Mashed Potatoes and the coleslaw to the Mac and the cheese. I don't understand why if a restaurant forgot some of the items you order it's up to the customer to deal with it. Sadly to say it's one and done with this restaurant.

Yelp
The chicken looks exactly like the picture on the menu. My Cousin and I were skeptical when we first ordered from Crispy Chick. They did not disappoint. The fried chicken was delivered hot, fresh and crispy JUST LIKE THE PICTURE ON THE MENU. Prices are great and the chicken is delicious

Yelp
Nashville chicken sandwich hit the spot! Really liked the sauces on it. I also got their Mac and cheese. It was plain but good.

Yelp
Great chicken sandwich smothered in sauce at a reasonable price, fries were solid. Will definitely be returning

Yelp
Tasty and friendly newcomer to the block. I had regular, on the bone fried chicken. To me, what matters is not just texture but flavor, and this chicken and breading tasted good. House special sauce was a tasty aioli (think tartar sauce without pickles), and I also had the buffalo sauce, which was spot on. Cole slaw was excellent and straight up -- no weird variations. The hit for me was the side of pico de gallo. Mild enough to eat as a light and refreshing side dish, like a chunky gazpacho.
