New Restaurants and Bars That Have Opened in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"This Japan-based chain, replacing Padadak Chicken, focuses on Korean-style fried chicken—boneless pieces, wings, and whole chickens—dressed with seasonings and sauces like honey-soy, cheese snow, truffle salt, and jalapeno mayonnaise, and also offers snacks such as kimchi pancakes, yakisoba, and spicy Korean rice cakes." - Candice Woo

From what I heard this place moved from UTC near UCSD campus to its current location. The chicken menus are delicious and they have different flavors to choose from. I tried the soup and it’s okay. I prefer a freshly made noodles; but we were looking for a quick lunch so it’s perfect. Hope you come by and continue to this small business.

My favorite place to get korean fried chicken. The owner (i presume) sweet lady in the front always gives me great option suggestions to try and she never misses. Delicious. My go to is honey butter 😋

Delicious wings at Crispy Chicken! We ordered the jalapeño mayo and snow cheese flavors and really liked both. The fried shrimp was really tasty and the beer is great too. Very friendly and helpful staff and the food came out quickly. Nice dog friendly outdoor patio as well. Recommend!

Ordered half of the whole chicken with Monster sauce and it was really good. The chicken was crispy and the spice level was perfect! I find it hard to gauge how spicy Korean chicken wings are at different places because its place seems to have their own level of spiciness whereas I find Thai food level of spiciness more or less the same. So here's a little background about my taste in spiciness: at Thai food places, I like to get 7/10 for pad thai and 8-10 for drunken noodles/pad kee mao; which means I enjoy quite a bit of spice but I also want to taste the sweetness if the dish is supposed to be sweet. Korean chicken wings should have some sweetness and but mild sounds too bland to me, so I went with my guts and got the monster. Jackpot!!! This really hits the spot; I got a little bit of spice, a lot of crunch and enough sweetness. The portion is quite small; so go big next time. Got this to-go and it was well-packed.

Pretty okay food, though I was not the biggest fan of most of the non-chicken items, which all seemed a bit sweet. I also tried to order a beer but was told that wasn't possible because the staff was underage, so that was disappointing. Otherwise I'd lean toward 4 stars, but I've never had a restaurant tell me they couldn't serve me drinks that they sell before.

Been wanting to go here for a few months and they didn't disappoint! Popped in for dinner, not very busy at 6:30 pm, plenty of parking right in front and seating inside and out. The have a good sized bar inside and an ordering counter, good flow to the place, very clean. They had classic Oldies playing in the background, loud enough to hear clearly but still have a conversation without issues. The staff were friendly, informative, and helpful with questions and menu items and suggestions. Menu was very easy to navigate and has good options. We got the 6 strips and a combo plate, which the combo really is enough for 2 in itself! Came with fries, coleslaw, and rice in addition to the 5 hefty strips/chunks of crispy crunchy fried chicken-which were amazingly juicy inside and Super crisp outside. Hubby said that lunch time this place and parking is topped out with people, so plan wisely because it is worth it.

The only reason it isn't 5* is because it's a but pricy. Outside the cost, the food is hot and delicious. Crispy wing even with sauce. There is a large dining space that was empty when I was there. I'd go again and try something else though. It wouldn't be a regular occasion just because of the cost, but the quality is high and I assume it isn't a big chain so I understand.

Great Korean fried chicken place! We got takeout for the family combo, which fed 4 people nicely. It is a bit pricey, and the chicken is just decent. But we loved the fried rice, and the sauces pair well with the chicken. All of the workers are very kind, and the atmosphere is nice too! I'd recommend trying it out.
