New Restaurants and Bars That Have Opened in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"This Japan-based chain, replacing Padadak Chicken, focuses on Korean-style fried chicken—boneless pieces, wings, and whole chickens—dressed with seasonings and sauces like honey-soy, cheese snow, truffle salt, and jalapeno mayonnaise, and also offers snacks such as kimchi pancakes, yakisoba, and spicy Korean rice cakes." - Candice Woo

Google
I absolutely love this place! The food is always amazing, and the side dishes are super tasty too. My favorite flavor has to be the Black Aglio, it’s got this really nice sweet soy taste with just a little bit of garlic that makes it addicting. The chicken itself is always perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, never greasy. Last time I came, I ordered the 8-piece half chicken, but they ended up giving me 12 pieces instead! The portions are generous, and you can tell they really care about their customers. The staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome, even when it’s busy. Overall, it’s just one of those spots that never disappoints. Whether you’re craving some crispy chicken or just want to hang out with friends over good food, this place is always a solid choice. Highly recommend!

Google
From what I heard this place moved from UTC near UCSD campus to its current location. The chicken menus are delicious and they have different flavors to choose from. I tried the soup and it’s okay. I prefer a freshly made noodles; but we were looking for a quick lunch so it’s perfect. Hope you come by and continue to this small business.

Google
Delicious wings at Crispy Chicken! We ordered the jalapeño mayo and snow cheese flavors and really liked both. The fried shrimp was really tasty and the beer is great too. Very friendly and helpful staff and the food came out quickly. Nice dog friendly outdoor patio as well. Recommend!

Google
My favorite place to get korean fried chicken. The owner (i presume) sweet lady in the front always gives me great option suggestions to try and she never misses. Delicious. My go to is honey butter 😋

Google
Food wasn't good. Specials weren't that cheap. Fries were kind of saugy, bland and not crispy. Chicken seemed to be sitting there awhile and were refried and dry. In comparison to Korean fried chicken chains in the area, it ranks the lowest in my book. Bb.q and Bon Chon are way better.

Google
Ordered half of the whole chicken with Monster sauce and it was really good. The chicken was crispy and the spice level was perfect! I find it hard to gauge how spicy Korean chicken wings are at different places because its place seems to have their own level of spiciness whereas I find Thai food level of spiciness more or less the same. So here's a little background about my taste in spiciness: at Thai food places, I like to get 7/10 for pad thai and 8-10 for drunken noodles/pad kee mao; which means I enjoy quite a bit of spice but I also want to taste the sweetness if the dish is supposed to be sweet. Korean chicken wings should have some sweetness and but mild sounds too bland to me, so I went with my guts and got the monster. Jackpot!!! This really hits the spot; I got a little bit of spice, a lot of crunch and enough sweetness. The portion is quite small; so go big next time. Got this to-go and it was well-packed.

Google
Pretty okay food, though I was not the biggest fan of most of the non-chicken items, which all seemed a bit sweet. I also tried to order a beer but was told that wasn't possible because the staff was underage, so that was disappointing. Otherwise I'd lean toward 4 stars, but I've never had a restaurant tell me they couldn't serve me drinks that they sell before.

Google
Great Korean fried chicken place! We got takeout for the family combo, which fed 4 people nicely. It is a bit pricey, and the chicken is just decent. But we loved the fried rice, and the sauces pair well with the chicken. All of the workers are very kind, and the atmosphere is nice too! I'd recommend trying it out.

Yelp
Visited this place recently with family and for a few different things. We were too excited to eat and so I didn't get to take much pictures due to how tasty the food was. We arrived a little after 7:45, originally wanted to dine in but ended up taking it to go since they close at 8:30. Place was clean, plenty of parking around, a few pick up orders during that time. We ordered 3 boneless n wings combo which comes with fried or steam rice, a fountain drink and coleslaw; monster, jalapeño mayo and black agilo. Original wings, yakisoba noodle and ddeok-bokki. They ended up giving us a free side of popcorn chicken for changing out order to go. Everything was delicious, the yakisoba was a little different than what I'm used to, but enjoyed all of the different flavors that they offered. Staff was friendly and recommended flavors and made sure we understood the spice level so we can enjoy the wings. Food came out pretty fast. More people should try this place out! They also offer $1 wings for their happy hour, will need to try that one day. Definitely visit here if you're looking for a tasty and affordable meal!

Yelp
I have no idea how they have an overall rating of 4.4?!? I guess I was deceived and completely wrong about this place. I wish this experience could've been better, but we won't be back! I would drive by here occasionally. One night I was with the hubs and we were about to head home. I saw Crispy chicken and said why not give them a try! The grub: - 1/2 chicken (8 pieces) with Black Aglio sauce - this was mostly all bad. Some pieces were just all bone pieces, with some chicken that was really dry. Only one or two small pieces were actually edible. I had to stop eating and we didn't finish the chicken cause I was worried about eating and swallowing small pieces of broken chicken bones. - Gyoza (7 pieces) - this was probably a good as it gets with what we ordered. They were decently fried. The flavor was ok, several were overtaken with chives that we didn't finish. - Yakisoba noodles - I don't know what I was expecting with these noodles but it was nothing close. It lacked flavor, really dry, overall just not good. Staff was nice. No issues parking. There were several customers already there when we arrived and many pickup orders. Plenty of seating available. Food was not great and this visit was too traumatic to try again. :( Be careful.. bones! 2025: 54

Yelp
I stopped by here to grab their boneless n' wings $15.99 lunch combo which includes 3 boneless, 3 wings, coleslaw, fried rice, and a drink. I got 2 orders of that, one was honey soy flavor and the other was black aglio which is black garlic and special soy and one. They have other lunch combos too as captured in the picture below. For the price and what it includes, was good and filling. We liked the honey soy and black aglio. The coleslaw was good as well. The fried rice was a bit on the salty side but a nice option over plain rice. The fountain drinks available were a few and basic. The space had plenty of seating. The service was good.

Yelp
Decided to try Crispy Chicken n Tomato after buying some books at Yesteryear comics. Had some black agilo (black garlic n soy sauce) boneless wings and a fountain drink for $19.88. Seasoning was really flavorful. One of the bathrooms wasn't working but they had a sign up to prevent disaster. Other bathroom was clean! Service was really nice and they checked if the chicken had diary which I appreciated since I'm allergic. Go here instead of the fast food spots close by.

Yelp
I've ordered takeout a few times, but this was my first time dining in. I was interested in trying the dinner combos because I love their wings but can't finish all eight, which is the smallest size they offer. There are two dinner combos that come with chicken, as well as a ramyun combo. I got the boneless and wings combo. It comes with three of each as well as a corn slaw, plain or fried rice, and a drink. The corn slaw and fried rice are nothing special. The fried rice looks to just have added salt and vegetables. The chicken came out super quick, and it tasted great as always. I came around 6:30 p.m. on a Thursday night, and it was empty. It almost looks closed because of how dark it looks from the outside and there was no one at the counter when I came in. I hope that they are doing well and stay open because it's hard to find good Korean fried chicken in San Diego. Casual and quiet environment with light music, so it's good for dining alone or with others. I wouldn't get the combo again because I didn't care for the corn slaw or rice. The classic mild (sweet and spicy) wings are my favorite!

Yelp
Came here for a dine-in and pretty much turned away. We got here half an hour before closing! That's plenty of time to eat the tiny portion of overpriced seafood pancake that didn't have seafood (it was a flat piece of fried flour egg mixture with scallions). Yes the wings still tasted good, but it's not worth the price for the rude service we got and the fact that we were told to leave when we took a seat just because it was half hour before closing.

Yelp
Was looking for fried chicken and this place came up. We got the gyoza, yakisoba noodles, and half chicken black aglio. The gyoza was very good. I liked the crisp of the gyoza and the filling. The noodles I did not like at all. It was weird, it tasted sweet and they were very al dente. Maybe it was my mistake getting the half chicken, but I bite through a lot of smaller bones. The small chicken pieces were dry. The larger pieces were juicy.

Yelp
I went for early dinner at Crispy Chicken n Tomato (wow, is that a long name to say and write!) tonight with friends. We lucked out and caught the tail end of their happy hour, 3-5:30pm, $1 chicken wings. There is a max of 10 per person and sauce is $1 each on the side. What a deal for crispy, fresh hot wings! We each ordered 10, but could only eat 5 each. We tried the soy honey and soy garlic, both were good, but a but too sweet. We also had an oder of seafood pancake, just ok and a bit greasy, and the rose sauce rice cakes, paid, $2 more for melted cheese. It was a generous portion and delicious. Sadly place was pretty empty and only a few customers came in while we were there. I think they lght be busier at lunch during the week since it is slightly out of the way near the new Kaiser hospital. Parking is plentiful. Service was friendly, but a bit lackluster.

Yelp
My sister and I shared the garlic 8 piece boneless chicken and fries for lunch. The boneless pieces were huge, juicy, tender and crispy! The sauce was sweet and garlicky, but not overwhelming. The fries also were a large portion and were hot and fresh. You order at the front and pick up your order. Space is large and modern with lots of indoor and outdoor seating.
google avatar

Allison L.

Yelp
Came on a weekday lunch and there were a few tables occupied but not too busy. You order at the front and take a seat yourself. My sister and I shared a 8 pc boneless wings and the French fries. The garlic sauce for the wings was a little sweeter than I like, but still good. The fries were hot and crispy! The young woman at the front was friendly

Yelp
From the outside, it's unassuming and I had no idea it was a korean fried chicken place!! Apparently it's the #1 rated korean fried chicken place in Japan. I thoroughly enjoyed mine though the class mild sauce was a bit sweet. The other one we tried was the black aglio (black garlic and special soy). They have a lunch combo everyday which includes 3 pc boneless 3 piece wings, fried rice or steamed rice, and cole slaw, and a fountain drink for $15.95. They also kindly gave our party gyoza on the house which was really nice!

Yelp
Hands down my favorite Korean fried chicken spot in San Diego. The food was delicious. Chicken with jalapeño mayo on point. Super crispy and the right portion. Had to add some ramyeon on the side because why not? But back to the boneless chicken. Super thick and filling. And jalapeño mayo. Wow. Slaw was simple but compliments the chicken well. The service was awesome. Literally saw a guy walk in and they knew him by name. So clearly they have regulars. The lady at the front was super friendly. The place was really clean and relaxing. Officially my new go-to place for fast food Korean chicken. Highly recommend.

Yelp
The wings, any type or sauce....are EXCELLENT and bondo DELICIOUS! The sides.... no. Just no blegh!
google avatar

Yelp
Great chicken big chucks. Cheeseballs I wish they made them like paddock cheeseballs. Those were amazing cheese balls! Cheese seasoning yum!
google avatar

Lena N.

Yelp
THE CHICKEN WAS SUPER JUICY! The honey soy flavor is my new favorite chicken wing flavor! The black aglio flavor was okay! I'd give it a 4/5! It was sweeter than I anticipated it to be. It wasn't my favorite. We also got the fries on the side! Wish they were a bit crispier though. This might be my new favorite korean fried chicken spot! The lady gave us complimentary popcorn chicken to try out as well! Will be coming back again to try out the different seasonings as well as the appetizers!
google avatar

Yelp
No matter what time of day, the service and food are great. My favorite is the boneless chicken with jalapeño mayonnaise, with chopped scallions. The chicken is very lightly breaded and not heavy at all. I have not been to any other locations, however this Clairemont Mesa location is definitely one to visit.

Yelp
We stoped by to take advantage of happy hr. $1 wings. Wings are big. Juicy and Big Crunch. Lots of flavors to choose from. Quick turnaround on our order. Big indoor and outdoor area. Lots of TVs and very clean.

Yelp
I have no idea why this place isn't packed! I believe they were formerly Padadak. However it seems a lot of their menu items remained the same. Not all of them, but quite a few. I love tobboeki, however, everyone does it differently and the spice levels can vary. I love that they have the rose version, which is still spicy, just not as spicy. and it's perfect! The rose version also has bacon in it! Def would recommend! Not pictured, we also ordered those snow cheese balls! They seasoning on the outside of the cheese balls are soo good. I've tried them with the chicken and I wasn't a fan, I prefer them just on the chicken balls. Their boneless chicken in my honest opinion are pretty decently sized. The staff is always so nice to answer any questions and patient when taking orders. The ambience of this place is definitely a vibe! They're playing lots of trendy music and a bunch of throwbacks too. It's not too loud, not too soft, and just right. I've been back so many times this year already! If you've been wondering about this place, I'd recommend trying them out! Definitely worth the effort to go there and the price to proportion size are really good!

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch and had one of their lunch combos: Boneless Combo. It came with your choice of flavor boneless fried chicken which I chose the Classic Mild - and came with a side of fried rice (steam rice was an option) and a salad. They have 12 flavors to choose from - I thought the Classic Mild was too spicy for me but it was good. The chicken is so crispy and fresh. The flavor had a kick to it and it just made me want to eat more and more even though it was spicy. The fried rice didn't really have a bold flavor but it's because it's Korean (not your typical Chinese fried rice) - it was not oily which I liked. The salad which kinda tastes more like coleslaw (it probably was) didn't have much of that coleslaw bold flavor which I enjoyed. I think all the flavor is on the chicken. The sides just compliment the chicken. The interior is big - they have 6 booths and 6 tables plus outside seating. They have other options like Yakisoba noodles and Ddeok-bokki. Definitely a must try if you're facing Korean fried chicken. Their chicken flavors are bold from Original to Classic Mild to Truffle to Jalapeño Mayo. Oh, the lunch combo also came with a soft drink.

Yelp
One of the fastest places. Once you order, it only takes about 5-7 min for it to be done. Just for that alone, I would repeat. Classic mild is my fav up here..
google avatar

Jerry H.

Yelp
The restaurant is clean, bright and roomy. Service was fine. We ordered a boneless chicken lunch combo and bulgogi lunch combo. The boneless chicken was delicious with the mild sweet and spicy sauce. We liked it. There are sides like tomato and pickled radish available and is normally offered but it was not this time. The fried rice and Cole slaw were just ok compared to other Korean chicken places. We also ordered beef bulgogi here. It was not good. It was more of a Japanese sukiyaki. The meat seemed boiled and not bbq. The flavor was very bland. The bulgogi must be revised, reimagined or removed from the menu. If you come here, stick to only chicken or order at your own risk.

Yelp
It was a hungry Saturday evening. My boyfriend, his daughter, and I were trying to figure out what to eat that would suit all of our tastes. I had previously introduced Korean Fried Chicken to them (this location was previously Padadak). Both boyfriend and daughter were craving Korean Fried Chicken, so we landed at Crispy Chicken n' Tomato on Clairemont Mesa Blvd (San Diego); recently opened in September 2023. According to their website, Crispy Chicken n' Tomato is "the No. 1 Korean Fried Chicken" in Japan. We ordered the following: - 24 piece chicken wings - tried their Honey Soy and their Classic Mild flavors. My favorite was the Honey Soy. Boyfriend's favorite was the Classic Mild. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=cJ_NlC78dQ5XM3bAqs7HjA&userid=NvUeb5G_mSSxgKhEE_Hueg - Fried Gyoza - perfectly fried. NOM NOM NOM! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=ctDszYvlz9EXoWCAHcnjzw&userid=NvUeb5G_mSSxgKhEE_Hueg - Fries - I'm usually not a fan of fries but this was perfectly fried. Boyfriend's daughter had mentioned the crispness. Everything was fresh, perfectly fried, and delicious!! ENJOY!!

Yelp
I've seen this place a few times but haven't fried until now because I assumed they specialize in fried chicken with tomato LOL Turns out they are just regular Korean fried chicken. The food was good! The garlic flavor is definitely stronger in garlic and only slightly soy, but it was flavorful. The fries were pretty expensive but portions were big and tasted pretty good (shoestring). The yakisoba was also decent. I decided not to order the fried rice because the photo didn't look that great - or else we would have gotten the dinner combo instead. Service was very friendly, parking was easy, and there were lots of seating options both indoor and outdoor. In my opinion, they are very comparable to the other Korean fried chicken places but I appreciate the variety of sauces and the easy parking situation!
google avatar

Colleen L.

Yelp
Service was very quick. The chicken is super crispy and juicy. There's a decent amount of sauce options. Classic Mild (sweet and spicy): omg this was SO SPICY. Flavor was tasty but was expecting it to be much more mild. For context, I don't really eat spicy food. If I go to a Thai place I would get like 2/10 spice. 3 if feeling adventurous. Black aglio: really yummy. Not spicy at all. It's like a sweet soy. Would get again.

Jackie Y.

Yelp
This place was delicious. I got the wings and a side of tteokbokki. The cheese on top made the dish stand out! So hot and fresh it was actually refreshing. The wings were a little cold but I did have to drive 2 minutes down the road to my hotel so it's best to eat the wings before you hit the 3 minute mark. Or you can eat there since I was the only person inside.
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
I ordered online and the order was ready before he estimated ready time. Super easy to pick up in person. The inside of the restauramt looked really nice and I would consider eating inside next time. For food I ordered Fried chicken with bone and sweet and spicy and jalapeño mayonnaise. When I ordered it said the sweet and spicy would be mild but it turned out to be super spicy so it was a little difficult to eat. The jalapeño mayonnaise was just the right amount of spicy for me and it was delicious so that is what I grabbed for the most between the two flavors ordered. I can't wait to try the other flavors in the future.

Yelp
We were in town running errands when starvation hit us! Of course, we looked for nearby foodie choices from Yelp! At the time, Crispy Chicken n' Tomato was fairly new. Lots of positive feedback. It's a really hip modern twist to fast food type of place with TVs and beers. As you walk in, go to the counter and order your food. After you pay, get your drink and find a table. They will bring your food to your table. As we ate our lunch, we were able to enjoy a little TV and relax. Everyone working here were very cordial and full of smiles. We enjoyed their lunch specials. We had their crispy boneless chicken tenders, rice, coleslaw, and a drink for the lunch special price. They use a pizza like box for your food. It's very sturdy. Overall, a tasty lunch! You can complain about the price, but the entire universe price has been raised so they are on point. I'd like to come back and try other menu items soon. This place was very clean and someone was continuous wiping down the tables. Bonus in my opinion.

Yelp
Best spicy chicken local Sweet and spicy Monster is hot hot Classic mild is just right! Nice seating area and great service!
google avatar

Mimi L.

Yelp
Very good! The chicken (mild/sweet and spicy) was amazing! The fried rice was pretty good, too. The yakisoba noodles were a little sweet, and I wish that they had sriracha sauce.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
the chicken was 5/5 but bruhhhhh the ambiance was dire. the music was hella sappy and slightly melancholic. if they switched up the energy in that joint might help

Yelp
I was recommended this restaurant by a friend. We ordered ahead and when we got to the restaurant it was fast. We decided to try cheese balls, seaweed roll, and onion rings as our appetizer. We also got the Monster, Chicken Yori, and Truffle wings. The appetizers were okay. I don't think they stood out to me much and I wouldn't go out of my way to get them again. If I was in the area and had a random craving for them then maybe but otherwise I would just stick with the wings. Cheese balls 3/5 Onion rings 3/5 Seaweed rolls 3/5 The wings are definitely where it's at. After tasting their appetizers I had lower expectations but their wings blew it out of the water. Regardless of what flavor you get the wings are juicy, tender, and a good size. The amount of meat on each does not feel skimped out on. I really enjoyed the Monster flavor, it and sweet and spicy. The chicken Yori was very savory, I wish they had a spicy version if it. The Truffle reminded us of a noodle packet flavor, it was good. Monster 4/5 Chicken Yori 4/5 Truffle 3.5/5 While it feels like it is on the pricier side I think that was because of the appetizer. I think $43.5 for 18 pieces of tasty and good sized wings wasn't a bad deal. Would definitely come back to try other flavors.

Yelp
Had lunch here for the first time this past Tuesday. Service at the counter was top-notch and absolutely friendly. The food was very good and the spices were excellent. I had the classic mild chicken...it was fantastic. Opted for fried rice - excellent choice. The veggie sides were delicious, fresh, and good for you! This was a pleasant surprise and I highly recommend that you give them a try!

Yelp
The first time we tried Crispy Chicken Tomato was in La Jolla and we love their food. Today driving to get our dinner we noticed a very familiar Logo and we parked to see if we really saw Crispy chicken n' tomato and it's confirmed now they have another location and its here in Clairemont . Bought Chicken with Garlic sauce and Ddok-Bokki and as usual this Crispy Tomato Chicken never dissapoints us , they were good as always . Their location here is spacious and they have an outdoor seating and we are happy that now its closer to our home too . We will be visiting this location often for sure.
google avatar

Yelp
The chicken the yori is now my favorite! Perfect blend of spicy, sweet and savory! I also tried yakisoba noodles too. A little sweet but alright.

Yelp
This is going to be my new go-to Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) place in San Diego! I like it more than Bonchon for its variety of flavors and better than Pelicana because I think the sauces taste better here. I ordered the 16 piece wings and we were able to pick up to 2 flavors, so we chose the honey soy and classic mild. I also went with an order of crispy seaweed rolls. I found the prices for the wings to be reasonable for the amount and quality the food you get. The marinade for the classic mild is authentic, tastes like what you would find in Korea even if Crispy Chicken n Tomato is actually a Japanese chain (apparently the #1 in Japan). And the honey soy, another classic flavor, was neither too sweet nor too salty-- a great balance! If there's one thing I will note is that the breading isn't the crispiest coating I've ever had, but it's still got a nice crunch to it. The seaweed rolls on the smaller side and the exterior a tad harder than I am used to (maybe fried a little too long) but the flavor and texture of the filling were good. I would probably still order these again if I had a craving for them. The restaurant is also very clean and has ample seating if you want to dine in. It's counter service but the employees still checked up on us while we were enjoying our meal. The owner even came up to us and struck up a friendly conversation. When he noticed we were sharing a drink between the two of us, he was kind enough to bring my husband a bottle of water on the house. I made a mental note to tip more for next time because it's not everyday that you experience customer service like this when it's not a sit-down/tableside service place. I'll be adding Crispy Chicken n Tomato to my list of frequent spots from here on out! :)

Yelp
This place opened after Padadak closed. I was skeptical because Padadak was my to place for Korean chicken but this new place is really good as well. My favorite is the boneless Monster style. Just the right spice level for me. It's not too busy, kid friendly and the cashiers are always super nice and helpful. 5 Stars!!! Hoping this business is successful

Yelp
Returned already to try more. This time we had a whole chicken of black aglio. It was on the sweeter side but it still remained super crispy despite getting it for takeout to bring home. The chicken was still juicy and tender. This has become my favorite Korean fried chicken spot in town.
google avatar

Vicki L.

Yelp
I got the lunch special boneless and wings combo and it comes with bone in and boneless pieces. For my wing flavor I chose black aglio. The lunch special comes with a drink. I enjoyed the wings very much! The flavor that I chose reminded me of sweet garlicky soy sauce. The texture of the chicken was very nice and crispy. The boneless pieces were juicy and tender. The slaw was okay I personally prefer that they just have pieces of pickle radish instead like some of the other Korean bbq places. Fried rice was okay. Wings are definitely worth it here for flavor and texture. Price wise I do think it is a tad high 15.95 but what isn't these days. I saw that they have an instant Korean ramen thing for 6.99. I thought this place would be busier with hospital near it but it was pretty chill. They also sell beer so it seems like an ideal place for people to get together after work.

Yelp
I'm reluctant to write this review because I don't want this place to get crowded butWe've been to this place about 10 times now and it never disappoints! We've tried multiple Korean wing places like Cross Street, Pelicana and Bon chon all were good but this one has quickly beat them out in flavor and service. Everyone here has been so kind and welcoming. They let you try new sauces if you don't want to commit. The jalapeño mayo and honey butter are super tasty with just a little spice. The monster is super hot and amazing. Can't recommend this place enough!!

Yelp
Came here for dinner & ordered the large (24-piece) chicken wings. Husband & I ordered the classic, honey butter, & garlic sauce. The service was quick & easy! The chicken wings were spot-on, tasty, & the sweet pickled radish with jalapeño side was delicious! Fried gyoza was delish, too.. We would come back for the service & tasty food.

Yelp
We have been here a few times and now people need to know how good this place is: Here's my food recommendations: - Any fried chicken combo / my favorite flavors are the cheese snow, honey soy, black aglio, & garlic sauce - the cheese balls are addicting AF! The fried chicken was crispy, tender and great flavors. Make sure you order the cheese balls. You may not want to share these with anyone. Overall a good value. The staff was very friendly. This place is mostly takeout when I dined in but they have a good amount of tables inside. Overall, we enjoyed our food and definitely will be back! Bookmark this spot if you're in Clairemont. Yelp
We tried their chicken today and can't believe we haven't been here before! We ordered the classic mild and corn snow. Loved both! The chicken was flavorful, juicy, and crispy. Definitely coming back to try their other flavors.

Yelp
First of all, the wings are PERFECTION! No matter what type of wings they are all fantastic. However, and sadly nearly every side we've tried has been terrible . The goyza was smashed down, the flavor was bland, and greasy. The fried rice was awful. It was water logged, super salty, and had the most bizarre flavor. WE ended up tossing everything but the wings. Just order wings.

Yelp
Food was excellent. The order took awhile but when I received it I knew why. It was hot, freshly prepared. Though my order was to go, I would have felt comfortable dining in. Very clean and the employees were friendly.

Yelp
This chicken was pretty good. We got a large with 3 people and it was filling. The onion rings were burnt on the bottom though.

Yelp
Korean fried chicken is a treat I reward myself after a long week of work. Had this spot on my list for a while and I couldn't wait to try it out!! Big, spacious parking lot in a plaza, not too crowded on a Friday night. We ordered from the server at the front register. She was super nice and helpful. You pick your chicken: wings (flats and drums), boneless, or mixed fried chicken, and the sauce. The popular flavors were classic mild and honey soy. There's also others to choose from such as garlic, black aglio, spicy monster, and honey butter. We ordered wings in honey soy and also rose carbonara ttbeokki with cheese (total $36). The wasn't too long, about 10-15 minutes, and the chicken was exactly as advertised: crispy!! The meat was hot, juicy and tender, and the sauce was amazing. I enjoyed the tbbeoki too and any cheese lover would agree. I definitely would come back, it's definitely a great place to try Korean fried chicken and I can't wait to try other flavors.

Yelp
Today was my first experience here and I was really impressed! When we arrived, we were met by a very friendly employee who helped us select our food by asking what flavors we enjoyed/spice level. We ordered a Medium Boneless with half Black Aglio (Garlic) and Classic Mild. The employee also supplied us with water while we waited for our order. The restaurant vibe is very calm and low light (my preference). We were really impressed with the chicken! Our fave was Black Aglio. I'll be back for the Rose 떡볶이

Yelp
Stopped in lastnight after picking my parents up from the airport and enjoyed some crispy Korean chicken. We had the Signature Original 1/2 chicken and it was the perfect portion for the 3 of us. We don't eat that much so might not be perfect for 3 big eaters so get the whole portion. A definite MUST is the fried gyoza! Nice and crispy and no need for soy sauce or dipping sauces. Very flavorful! the corn slaw is tasty although the serving size is for 1 maybe 2 people. I love cole slaw and this one is very good. Pricing is great. Service was awesome. My only complaint is the music was so loud.
