A Perfect Spot for Brunch Lovers! This brunch place is a hidden gem! The sausage was juicy and full of flavor, and the bread was fresh and perfectly toasted. But the real star of the meal was the pancake — hands down the best I’ve ever had. It was soft, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. If you’re looking for a cozy place to enjoy a satisfying brunch, this spot definitely won’t disappoint. I’ll be coming back for those pancakes again soon!

Google
Crispy Heaven Bakery stands out in the NYC area for its exceptional bread, butter, and jam. The bread's crispy exterior gives way to a soft, palatable interior. The lemon ricotta pancakes are replete with flavor and extremely tasty. The homemade fruits are a highlight, and I enjoyed them immensely, even taking some from my son to enjoy with my bread and butter. The sausage plate is another standout. I purchased some bread to take home and expect to return soon. Very soon.

Google
Nice bakery and restaurant. The service is quick and accommodating. When we came in there were plenty of tables and seats. I ordered the chicken schnitzel, and my wife ordered an avocado toast. Both orders were good. I did see a bakery in the back, and everything is made fresh.

Google
Our server was incredibly accommodating, kindly offering us a larger table despite it being just the two of us, as the restaurant wasn’t crowded. The food was delicious with generous portions, larger than the typical NYC standard, which we greatly appreciated. While the flavors won’t leave you speechless, the food is excellent, and I’d gladly recommend this spot to anyone.

Google
They've won awards for their bread and it's easy to see why. Every piece in the sampler was excellent, especially with the housemade butter. Owner was super nice and it was cool to meet her and hear her story. She has some unique Czech style dishes and I loved the gazpacho, chicken salad to eat with the bread, the snake river farms wagyu and butter folded scrambled eggs and the Turkish poached eggs with all the fresh herbs. Dip the potatoes on the steak dish into the green yogurt on the Turkish eggs! Chocolate chip cookie also excellent. Plateware seriously adorable and great cappuccino.

Google
Got the egg salad sandwich. So so good. I added tomatoes and cornichons to add a little something to it. There was soooo much filling. They definitely did NOT hold back when putting in the egg salad, which was much appreciated. Cute spot and the waitress was the sweetest. Went for brunch (needed a table for 2) without a reservation on a Saturday morning and still got a table asap!

Google
I adore crispy heaven! The only place in New York I’ve been able to find a Spanish bocadillo and other European style sandwiches. High-quality ingredients, impeccable service, and a lovely atmosphere. I’ve also had the braised short rib sandwich, the side potatoes, and coffee and all are amazing. Definitely make sure you have a reservation, especially if you are hoping to dine on a weekend! The restaurant is pretty small and may not be suitable for big parties.

Google
I ascended to carb heaven. For the absolute best baguettes, breads, sandos, brunch—Crispy Heaven is that girl. The bacon egg roll is my go-to on a Sunday morning. Crispy, salty bacon baked INTO the bread sandwiched between a healthy amount of butter, fried egg, cheese & the juiciest tomato. Simple but made perfect. I hope they expand one day…

Yelp
Being a baguette fanatic, I came here specifically to try out their baguette on a hot and humid NYC afternoon. Thankfully they had one of the last few left -- spared from making sandies for those dining in. Taking it home I found the baguette to be precisely what I want in a baguette -- which is a lighter exterior with a delicate crunch, great for spreading whatever you want on it once sliced -- and baked on a hot and humid day too, difficult to accomplish. I did inquire whether they made any softer breads such as a pain de mie -- for those older folks with jaw problems... and the owner was very apologetic for not having the same. NOT to worry since the baguette (which came highly ranked as one of NYC's best) more than made up for it. FEL, the world don't need another super model, but we need you to make the best baguette -- thank YOU for your life choices!!

Yelp
We ended up getting the ricotta pancakes, three different sandwiches, and the bread board. The bread board is a must. Their butter is amazing and the jam (I think it's strawberry rhubarb?) was sweet with such a good lingering taste from what I think was the rhubarb. We definitely did mess up a little bit, all our food ended up coming and we got so much bread and so much of the bread was hard. Bread was delicious, but we should have gotten more variety. Our jaws at the end were dying. We got the grass fed short rib, mortadella and Gouda, and burrata. We saw other tables get what looked like the fluffiest pillowy eggs and a beef stew we wanted to reach over and dip our bread into. We will be coming back with a better plan for the meal

Yelp
Great crispy baguettes. We tried the Italian ham with butter and chicken salad and French toast. All so good. Also picked up sourdough loaf for home

Yelp
Definitely adding this spot to my list of go-to brunch places! It's cozy and charming, but gets packed quickly--highly recommend making a reservation since we saw a lot of walk-ins waiting. The vibe was lively and bustling, so it took a little while to get seated. The menu had so many tempting options, it was hard to choose. We eventually went with the smoked salmon plate and scrambled eggs with bacon. I had read the rave reviews about the scrambled eggs beforehand and wasn't sure what the hype was about until I took my first bite. They were hands down some of the best scrambled eggs I've ever had: soft, fluffy, and perfectly creamy. Everything on my plate was delicious. If you're trying to avoid carbs, beware--their bread is dangerously good. Especially paired with the butter and jam. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

Yelp
I like it, I like it a lot. No idea why that quote popped in my head but it's applicable to this charming restaurant. One quick walk and you'll breeze right past this joint unless their cart or baked goods caught your eye. Buddy wanted pancakes while I had no preference where to eat, I just needed to sit and down some caffeine before I pass out from exhaustion. And in that very sense, Crispy Heaven became an oasis. Longtime friends are able to catch up on an idle Tuesday while noshing good bread and sipping coffee. The staff didn't come over to bother us if we needed the check even though our tabletop was almost devoid of anything digestible which is such an A+. Their bread and butter combo is phenomenal. The stew is flavorful with tender carrots and spuds, but the meat did get stuck in between our teeth and we had to strategically remove it without looking crass. The pancakes were not as fluffy as I had hoped for but the blueberry sauce added a nice touch to the dish. It did deliver on the lemon flavor though, so that was definiteyly worth the visit. I'll have to make my way back to try other items because I want to be floored!

Yelp
The bacon roll sandwich is fire flames I don't normally eat so much bread but I couldn't let it go to waste.. I ate the WHOLE thing. It's a small quaint place, seemed very busy when I went in to pick up our takeout. The service seems great, almost every waiter checked in with me to make sure I was being helped. Definitely want to come back for the burrata sando

Yelp
I went for lunch and got the brunch plate, it was delicious! The bread was nice and crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. I really enjoyed the veggie salad as it added a bit of freshness to the plate. My bf got the salmon plate and it was good too!

Yelp
Visited this first spot due to popularity on social media and was very pleased with the experience. My friend and I realized we'd been in the locale before when it was previously a Thai restaurant. We visited for brunch and found the small space to still feel comfortable as most tables indoors were suited for 2fers. But the 3 larger tables also seemed to have ample space. Service was pretty consistent and frequent which was nice as we didn't feel forgotten. We ordered the salmon plate, smaller bread plate, side of bacon and half burrata, iced coffee and an Arnold Palmer. Overall, our food was delicious and plentiful! Food tasted fresh and everything came out within a reasonable amount of time. We also saw several people come to just pickup. This is a definitely a spot we will be looking to frequent.

Yelp
I loved this spot! Food is great, staff are very attentive, and portions are huge. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
First time I came it was so great!! The owner is so nice and the food is so good. One of my new favorite breakfast/brunch spots. Definitely make a reservation if you're coming on the weekend. It's a small cute place but gets very crowded - not much room to move around or walk. The most recent time we came the waitress was kinda rude. I'm not sure what we did but at one point she just switched on us. Their coffee is also pretty burnt so if you like that taste it's for you, and if you don't, well I'd recommend another drink. The scrambled eggs are good, they come with bread and jam. I wish you could modify the omelette.. kinda odd that you can't take out an ingredient in an egg dish but I suppose the pre make it. The mortadella sandwich is good and the spicy tuna is okay. Their bread of course is the star and don't miss out on trying them all.

Yelp
It's been a while since we've enjoyed breakfast at Crispy Heaven. We went to the old location, they've just moved to their new one on Lafayette just south of Spring St. This place is much brighter and has a nice bar that you can sit at. They haven't received their liquor license yet, but the owner told us that when they do they'll be open for dinner. The soul of Crispy Heaven is the bread. The owner is from the Czech Republic and she's brought many of her family recipes. The sandwiches are just the best. My wife had a bacon roll with scrambled egg inside. The bacon is baked into the bread. I ordered the brioche French toast. Such incredible bread, so totally delicious. And there's a nice amount of real maple syrup. We were hungry and also ordered a Czech bread with scrambled eggs. Again, amazing bread and really well prepared eggs. They were fluffy and light and really fresh. Our coffee was delicious. I had a black coffee that was flavorful, strong enough and not bitter. My wife really loved her latte. The cream on top was well whipped. Our server Dasha, was so patient and helpful. The owner is charming and her intention is to treat each customer as a friend. I really appreciate how wonderful I felt during our meal and the memory stays with me.

Yelp
This is definitely a must try for any native New Yorker. The baguette is fresh and the meats, cuts, drizzle oil on the spread just taste absolutely out of this world. Their coffee drinks is extremely well made which makes sense why there is always a line everyday with limited seating. The service style is to order first to get a number then wait for a seat but there are always people who will snarch a seat first then order but what can one do.
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
A lovely place to sit outside and have breakfast. The coffee was great and the eggs were just as I imagined- runny and balanced with the Greek yogurt spread. The bread was a great addition! My husband had the spicy wagyu sandwich which he ate every last bite of.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in to get one of their famed baguettes and it was as good as I'd hoped for. Would return to try the almond cake. They also have a full restaurant!

Yelp
Fab little place on the Lafayette strip. The egg salad on baguette was GENEROUS in size. I finished it all and I am suffering....in a good way. My partner liked the bacon roll too. I'd go back and try some other bits and bobs. Staff were lovely.

Yelp
Great stop for a quick bite!! Stopped here to meet my cousin while in town! We all got the breakfast sandwich, I got an iced coffee and mom ordered decaf. Owner is super friendly and sweet! Even shared that the recipe is from her grandmother. Very wholesome!! There is plenty of seating inside and out!!
google avatar

Yelp
My nephew goes to Crispy Heaven often and he surprised us with a dark rye and nut Bread and a Spanish pastry. Both excellent
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
The best baguettes!! I absolutely love their bread here. The sandwiches are amazing, standouts include the ham and butter and the burrata with tomatoes and olive oil! I also like their desserts- the German apple cake is addictive. But honestly the baguette with a side of fresh butter is my favorite thing here! The baguette is fresh and crispy on the outside but still soft on the inside. The actual space is also really cute. They have a couple tables inside and some nice outdoor seating in the shed. You order at the counter and then find seating, but it can get a bit crowded especially on the weekends. Service is also so friendly and helpful, everyone is really nice here!

Yelp
I cannot recommend Crispy Heaven Bakery enough - as a sandwich connoisseur, this doesn't come easily. It has been on my list for quite some time, and finally my partner and I found the opportunity to stop by and grab some brunch. It is a cute and cozy bakery, with a few tables inside and outside seating as well. The service was very friendly and efficient as well - making sure we had plenty of water (was a hot day). It definitely felt like some very special family recipes they use as well. Food-wise we decided to go with the egg cheese and bacon roll and the mortadella and Gouda on a half baguette (with their house made butter). It may have been one of the best BEC variations I've ever had - and the bacon was baked into the roll (which was easy to pull apart too). Absolutely delicious. And the baguette was divine (definitely felt like I was in crispy heaven) - I am sure all of their sandwiches are tasty, but I'm a sucker for some good mortadella so had to try that first. Also, the sandwiches are HUGE. I mean like I couldn't even finish mine (and not because I didn't like it). Also, their dinner items looked delicious too, so will need to stop on by to try a meal then too. I will definitely be back - even may pop by this weekend to grab a baguette to go.

Yelp
Return trip, this time for lunch. Short ribs either caramelized onion on best baguette in NYC - OMG how scrumptious, tender, garnished with teeny gherkins. I was in heaven. My companion had tuna on baguette. Of course I had a sample. Some of the best tuna salad ever! Maybe next time on one of their lovely rolls. Crowded but oh so pleasant, very friendly waitress staff, ultra clean...and so moving to larger quarters a few blocks east with dining service. Just had to take stuff home: Apple cake, gluten free almond tart, potato bread, walnut-raisin loaf, homemade butter (!). It's a gastronomic miracle and we're so lucky to have found Crispy Heaven. You should treat yourself. Oh, and they serve breakfast with a bacon roll...ooooh!
google avatar

Yelp
Crispy Heaven is a great brunch spot! After seeing over reviewers rave about the bread here, I knew I had to check it out for myself. The menu has a nice array of breakfast and brunch items. There were eggs, French toast sandwiches, salads, soup... plenty of options to choose from! I ordered a plate with scrambled eggs, veggie salad, labneh, bread (a generous portion- six pieces, and a couple of different types too). I would definitely return here! My friend ordered the egg salad plate and it was an even bigger portion than the scrambled eggs. What a great find!
google avatar

June M.

Yelp
No doubt this place won the bread contest! Their baguette was on another level of crispy but moist at the same time. You should buy their bread home as gifts if you are visiting NYC! We were here over the weekend during brunch time. The inside quite hot and dark, they have no ac or fans. I would recommend seating outside if you can find the table. Their service was nice, even though it was very busy, they still make sure that we got what we need.

Yelp
We've been regulars at Crispy Heaven for both dine-in and takeout, and they never disappoint. Yesterday, after flying back from Paris (yes, even after Paris we were seriously missing Crispy Heaven's baguette--that tells you how good it is!), I placed an online order through Grubhub. A lot of what we ordered was sold out, but the Crispy Heaven team went above and beyond: they included different items and extra goodies at no charge and wrote the sweetest handwritten note with the delivery. It completely made my day! That kind of kindness and customer care is so rare. The quality, the food, and the people are just amazing. Crispy Heaven, you've got us as forever fans. Thank you!! -- Jac & Ray

Yelp
I cannot believe how truly delicious and amazing the food and service is here. My friend had her birthday dinner here and they did an amazing job with making sure everyone's fed and happy. They explained each dish and everything felt so personal. The pizza is actually to die for, and if I could eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be their wagyu steak with the garlic oil on top. It'd be a dishonor if i didn't mention the bread with butter. The seedy bread is so fluffy and flavorful and with the smooth whipped butter... I'm drooling
google avatar

Yelp
Crispy Heaven is an absolute gem! This SOHO stunner has an upscale, warm, and cozy ambience that is extremely pleasant. The staff are fantastic and immediately make you feel right at home. THE BREAD WAS INSANE - having the bread at this place that's a bakery during the day time was incredible. I am not exaggerating when I say every single dish was a highlight. The short rib was one of the best dishes I've ever had in NYC, and the spicy wagyu Bahamian tacos were also out of this world. They just started doing dinners on Thursdays, and I cannot recommend this place any higher! I am stoked for my next visit!
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
I only had the grass fed short rib sandwich but I don't have words to describe how delicious this was!! The meat was flavorful and tender, the butter on the baguette was delicious, and the baguette was incredible--crispy on the outside, light on the inside. My only complaint was that it was extremely hot inside (with only area fans miniature A/C units), but I will definitely be back when the weather is a bit cooler or whenever they move to their new SoHo location.

Amy B.

Yelp
Absolute heaven. The best cup of coffee I've had in a very long time, perhaps the best ever. Perfectly sweet but not overly so, creamy, zero bitterness, rich, perfect temperature. The kind of coffee that makes you relax into your chair. For a moment, this is all that matters and this delight makes you feel alive. Not pictured was a heavenly almond cake and a crusty roll slathered with butter and mixed berry jam, which was equally fabulous. Wonderful service as well. This was a spontaneous stop forced on my family by me. Mike (Michael?) the barista was a gem, which was the icing on the cake. He was very patient with my husband and 17 year old as we decided what to order at the counter.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
We went here for lunch and really enjoyed our meal - the bread is fantastic, good sandwich selection, nice workers. Would highly recommend!
google avatar

Sheena T.

Yelp
We were lucky enough to be staying around the corner from Crispy Heaven and kept coming back to try more things because it was so delicious. The bakery is tiny but mighty and has some seating inside and outside. The bread is fabulous, so don't skip on grabbing a baguette or sandwich to enjoy. My favorite is the Serrano ham with the fresh tomato spread. YUM. It has simple ingredients but does not lack in flavor. We also sampled the mortadella and gouda on a roll which was lovely but the ham is the real winner. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the coffee is strong and delicious. Crispy Heaven is fabulous and a must visit!
google avatar

Elaine W.

Yelp
The bread here is awesome -- super crispy crust with a soft and fluffy inside. The scrambled eggs were also excellent, and the service was great. The only thing is you order at the counter, so I recommend if you're here with a group that someone sits down to hold a table while everyone else orders.
google avatar

Frank K.

Yelp
Award winning baguette, in-store made butter, really delicious scrambled eggs, good portions, cute atmosphere and friendly staff! Great place for lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Nostalgic interior, plenty of inside and outdoor seating, good service, and amazing bread. Lovely breakfast spot near soho!
google avatar

Karol Josef B.

Yelp
I'm glad we stopped by this place on a warm Saturday afternoon. They offered outdoor and indoor seating which was nice, and the indoor seating gave off a nice inviting vibe showing classic black and white pictures of people carrying. The service was good in that they served us water pretty quickly. The burrata sandwich was amazing. It was the perfect amount of burrata, tomatoes, and Basel. The olive oil mixed with the fresh ingredients in between some of the best crunchy bread I've had from a bakery in a while really did it for me. They also had a roll and baguette option which is great for those that don't want a heavy meal or or want a little more.
google avatar

Jarad F.

Yelp
Amazing!! I had the privilege of meeting the owner the previous day and came on an invite. Quite simply put the Bacon EggRoll was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. All the bread is amazing and it doesn't surprise me at all they won Best Baguette in NYC!!! In the end, from the award winning baguette, the polish loaf, or her Czech style sourdough...,each bite finishes with a wonderful taste and texture from....perfection! She will be opening up a new location in the near future so keep your eye out for more seating and maybe a few more dinner options! The passion she has for her food will be tasted in every bite! Bottom Line...This place is a must try!! Thanks Fel....and congratulations!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot for brunch. The short rib with caramelized onions sandwiched between their famous freshly baked baguette was delicious. The ceaser salad with chicken was so yummy.

Yelp
The best meal I've had in a really long time. My friend brought a small group of us here after hearing about it through the grapevine, and this unassuming bakery is nothing short of spectacular. To start, we received a bit of baguette and other European style bread a served with homemade butter to taste, and I have to say, I had no idea baguettes could taste like that. The texture was chewy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside, but really, the flavor was the most surprising. I can't describe how good it was, so you'll just have to go find out for yourself. As for the rest of the food we ordered, it was delicious! Pizza crust was the perfect texture, burrata plate (with more baguette) was divine with the freshest heirloom tomatoes, and the octopus was perfectly cooked. After we cleared those plates, we tried the spicy wagyu tacos that were indeed spicy and FULL of flavor -- I can't say they were the best tacos I've had, but certainly tasty and worth a try! Most of all, the service was truly the reason that brought me to write this review. Fel was one of the sweetest and most welcoming people Ive had the pleasure of meeting. She took her time to talk about how she got into baking and told us all about the different techniques that go into baking some of the best bread I've tasted so far. She is so passionate about baking, and it really came through in the food and the way she spoke about her baked goods. I am looking forward to the next time I'm able to go to try the breakfast/lunch menu.

Yelp
Friendly staff, generous portions, good food. Stopped in for a light to-go dinner. Arugula salad is lightly dressed with a lemony dressing and torn up pieces of creamy burrata. Added tomatoes for a small upcharge, but they were not very flavorful (blame it on the season). Salad comes with a tasty bread roll that would have been fab with some salty butter or grassy olive oil. Recommend.
google avatar

Marcelle M.

Yelp
Very fresh baguette sandwiches, ordered the burrata and short rib with onions, both were flavored excellently. The burrata was very chilled, would've been nice if I asked to toast the sandwich but overall great, each sandwich was $22 and they stayed fresh the next day. No laptops allowed at this cafe and they have indoor and outdoor seating
google avatar

Helen Z.

Yelp
Small cafe with freshly baked European bread, brunch, pizza, sandwiches, etc. I stopped by and got a burrata sandwich on a sourdough roll, which was perfect and so fresh, prompting me to tell my friends about it over lunch later. We all decided to visit again the same day (right after lunch), and shared a bread sampler. They brought out much more bread than we expected and explained what each was, with a generous serving of jam and butter on the side. My favorites were the potato sourdough baguette and the Italian bread but everything was really good! I would love to come here again with an empty stomach for a meal. Was definitely eyeing their brunch platter, almond cake, pizza, and soup served with bread.
google avatar

Yelp
The second I saw that this place won the award for best baguette in New York, they had my attention. My boyfriend and I eat here after the TD borough bike tour-- let me tell you, for those entire 50 miles all I wanted was a well executed pizza. And thank goodness, because Crispy Heaven delivered. I highly recommend the margarita pizza in the short rib baguette sandwich. The girl next to me got this breakfast platter with eggs and sourdough bread, and I kept stealing glances at the food because it looked incredible.
google avatar

Richard D.

Yelp
I absolutely love this bakery. I originally found them through the too Good to Go app but now I'm a regular customer because they're bred and baked goodies are just that good. They really live up to the name Chris we haven't if you like that nice crusty loaves of bread that you can eat with butter or olive oil. This a bit of seating here if you want to come hang out and eat a sandwich. Nice and friendly staff.
google avatar

L T.

Yelp
What a lovely welcoming bakery! I've tried 4 different breads and every one of them was so delicious! I think my favorite so far is the miche, but I plan to vary my selections.

Yelp
I love stumbling upon places and then just being blown away by how great they are! Crispy heaven was one of those moments for me. Incredible bread, sandwiches, and pizzas. Fresh baked throughout the day you can almost always guarantee the bread will still be warm when you pick it up.I cannot recommend it enough.

Patrick B.

Yelp
Multigrain bread may be the best of my life! Beef stew and short-rib sandwich both fantastic. Really good service too. Yum! Come here.
google avatar

Vincent S.

Yelp
One of the slowest spots in the morning. Casual spot that has lots of fresh bread and items and sit down options, but torture waiting. Expect a 20 minute wait to get a coffee.... They are not understaffed to be honest and there was 2 people infront of me..... im shocked The people here are too relaxed but thats the vibe i guess of the spot. Maybe im impatient but i can only wait that long if theres a real line up

Yelp
Awesome breakfast place - the sandwich was fantastic; loved the Gouda. The egg breakfast was egg-ceptional! Staff friendly and service was fast!
google avatar

Yelp
Warm, cozy, fresh, delicious and that's not just the food! The space is small but lovely the bread is outrageous. Crunchy doesn't begin to describe the texture of this bread it's perfect chew & tear apart bread. I will def be back when I'm in the neighborhood!

Yelp
Ordered the scrambled egg dish that is served with ham or bacon, bread, butter and jam. My meal only took a few minutes and was made to order. You can tell the ingredients are clean and fresh. The bread is crispy. The environment is small but enough to seat 4-6 parties. It is tidy and quiet - everyone is respectful and to themselves. My dish was picked up as I finished but I didn't feel rushed or pressured to leave. No laptop rule, items available to go, and lunch and dinner is offered as well.
