We very much enjoyed our visit to Cristom. Delicious wines and great views. Meghan and Brian were very friendly and informative. The location is serene surrounded by wildflowers, birds and the bees.

Stopped by for a tasting with Brian last week and everything was amazing. The wine was beautiful, the views stunning, and Brian was super friendly and knowledgable.

Stopped in for an afternoon tasting. Angie was our hostess. She was wonderful to experience a tasting with. The views from the patio are nice and there is also a car charger near the entrance for EVs. Definitely on my list of Oregon wineries to recommend

Google
Loved this little winery. We sat outside on the patio and did a tasting. The service was informative and friendly. The wines were all fantastic. We tried a rose, a few different Pinot Noirs and a chardonnay. We even stayed to each enjoy a full glass after the tasting. They do have a small snack menu so we ordered some olives. Delicious. They have sheep or goats on the property somewhere and I guess we were visiting during their feeding time as they provided a cute little soundtrack of sounds. This was a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Google
A must visit if you are in Willamette Valley and you love a fantastic Pinot. The staff created a wonderful afternoon for us and spoiled us with a tour of the entire vineyard. Seeing the creation that is Cristom and enjoying all the different wines was something we will remember forever. Thank you Kevin for your attention to detail

Google
What a lovely stop - beautiful weather and very pleasant family owned vineyard since 1992. There’s a small animal farm on site and Mitch was very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend for your wine country tour in Oregon!

Google
I am happy to see Cristom has a 4.7 rating. Not everyone or thing is perfect, but I rate Cristom a 5.0. We have toured Willamette 3 times now, attempting to taste and discover the greatness from all 11 AVA regions. Our last visit was August 2025, and of the 9 wineries we visited this go around, plus several tasting rooms, Cristom knocked it out of the park again. For our party of 8, they rolled out the red carpet, had a beautiful table set-up with charcuterie and olives to accompany our Blanc de Blanc, Chardonay's (a few goodies from library) and of course a thorough tasting of their excellent Pinot Noirs. I can not say enough about the staff we had the opportunity to meet. Brian, their new Sales Mgr, set the bar high as he graciously took me on a tour in his jeep of the vineyards and new plantings. Angelica, our host, was very knowledgeable and respectful, and we had a wonderful time learning more than we did before arriving. Unfortunately we had 2 more local tastings and had to leave prematurely as I could have stayed another 1-2 hours (or all day - lol). Some of our guests deal with digestive issues with wines, namely heartburn or acid reflux. They were amazed at how soft and gentle the wines were. So much that they have become members. So if this issue affects you, give it a go. I will end with this. The Eola-Amity Hills AVA selection of Chardonnays is gaining on traditional French White Burgundies and will only be buying OR or French Chards. No longer desire the heavy oak and butter reminiscent of that other area to the south. IMO. Hope this helps some of you decide on your next tasting. Cheers.

Beautiful grounds and surroundings at this recommended Vineyard. The staff is friendly and informative. The wine is excellent and we joined the club to have .ore shipped to us.

Yelp
Besides the absolutely gorgeous setting I have to give credit to the kind woman working here for her generosity toward the kids when we stopped by. The views are stunning and they are known for their excellent wines. Thank you for showing us around!

Paul K.

Yelp
The winery replaced a whole case with a newer vintage after hearing that the first two bottles that I tried were both corked. That's outstanding service!

Yelp
We are from out of state and this was our second visit to the absolutely stunning Cristom Vineyards. Our first visit was in October 2018. We knew we wanted to return and were thrilled to be able to share our recent experience with family members. The wines are incredible (and we have been Wine Club Members since 2018). Our recent visit was absolutely perfect although the weather didn't cooperate for a picnic at the top of one of the mountains amongst the vineyards. We had a lovely and super informative tasting of at least 6 wines and enjoyed a delicious charcuterie board as well. We had been encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoyed that on the beautiful covered terrace while watching the summer rains. Plan ahead and make sure you visit Cristom Vineyards when you are in the Willamette Valley. Reservations recommended!

Yelp
Really enjoyed are afternoon here. Great live music, wines, views and outdoor seating.

Yelp
Went to Cristom for the first time yesterday and just WOW! The deck is so beautiful all the way around with fantastic views. Beautiful garden and hanging flowers everywhere. The chairs to relax and drink wine are so cozy and nice. Jessica was absolutely fantastic throughout our entire experience. She was so knowledgeable about the wine as well as the grounds and stories around Cristom. The flight selection was truly fantastic with their Mt Jefferson and their Chardonnay really being the stars. I can't say enough good things about this vineyard, it is definitely a must see in Oregon wine country.
google avatar

Yelp
This winery has some of the best views that we saw on our entire trip to the PNW. I loved the outdoor seating facing the sprawling vineyards and mountain in the background. The landscaping really creates a beautiful frame of the view beyond as well. One of our favorite moments was just sitting, sipping wine, enjoying the view, and reminiscing about our trip so far. We were actually here on our 5th anniversary, and it was perfect! The wine itself was great and everyone working there were so helpful and knowledgeable. I'd definitely recommend a stop here and I'd love to come back next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Had a great visit to Cristom! It was the last stop on our wine tour and did not disappoint. It was chilly the day we went, so we sat inside, but the view outside was beautiful. Our server was knowledgeable and kind and the wine was delicious! I'd definitely recommend it for a stop!

Ed B.

Yelp
Great wines but the tasting room was very loud and echoey. Not hearing aid friendly. Lots of outdoor spaces that would be better, on a good weather day.

David F.

Yelp
Had the day of days at Cristom Vineyards this week!! Great wine is always great, but when you combine it with a beautiful nature setting, great friends, second to none service and a picnic on the top of a mountain vineyard with clear blue skies...there is nothing left to say!! Well, maybe one more thing...a herd of sheep!! Thank you Randy, Cam, Kevin and the rest of Cristom Team!!! Until next time, Donna and David Flinn

Yelp
Outstanding. A beautiful winery, great wines (both the Pinot and the Chardonnay!) We really enjoyed this tasting experience and will add Cristom to our list to visit again.

Yelp
The wine is great. I wanted to buy a case of Pinot. The lady helping us said they could ship it for $15. After I left the winery, she called my cell phone and let me know that the shipping cost would be $109, but that she could waive that shipping fee if I joined their wine club and bought at least two cases. The price had changed and she was trying to upsell me after I had already purchased what I thought would be a case of wine. The lady was very pushy with me. I told her that things had changed and that I was no longer interested in doing the order if the shipping cost was going to change. She kept trying to convince me to join the wine club. She was furious when she realized that I was canceling my order. It was such a bad experience. This place came highly recommended. The customer service was really poor.

Mallory M.

Yelp
I went to Cristom for a tasting and vineyard tour, and loved it. Their biodynamic farming practices were fascinating to learn about, the scenery and views are impeccable, and their wine is outstanding.

Nancy P.

Yelp
love the 2023 Louise vineyard Pinot Gris! a steal at just $30 the Bordeaux blend is also a taste pleaser and service is unparalleled in my opinion

Yelp
Cristom was the last of our stops during a 3 day trip to the Willamette valley. We did a fair bit of research and booked two tastings per day at places we really wanted to go and Cristom definitely was worthy of a stop. We were greeted, checked in and seated quickly. Our server (Bre) was so knowledgeable and friendly. This was the best overall tasting experience we had during our trip. It was so fun being lead through the offerings that day and learning about where the grapes were grown, why each bloc was named what it was and how each years weather impacted the fruit and harvest we were drinking. The wines were some of the best we had and the wine club had multiple levels with a 3 shipments of 4 bottles option that worked perfectly for us. Some of the other vineyards we visited had great wines as well but didn't offer this low of a bottle count option so we were very happy Cristom did. Make sure to take the time to schedule an appointment at this can't miss Willamette valley vineyard!

Malu G.

Yelp
Amazing experience. The staff was extremely nice, specially Margot!!! She was the best!! She gave us the full explanation of each wine, and even gave us the full experience. The wine is espectacular, I am so glad we choose this place out of all of them, this one is especial! the views are so beautiful, and it's not as hot as it seems , it's acutely pretty chill and wind comes around a lot.

Michele P.

Yelp
The ambience is beautiful. The wine is acceptable. The staff's commentary about farming is not. If you don't know anything about how food is raised, you have no right to be repeating information from activist organizations. Don't try to discuss dairy farming, bioregenerative practices, or any other things that farmers do if you do not have firsthand knowledge. We came for the wine, and left because of the insults you directed towards farmers. It needs to stop. The woman serving was incredibly insulting.

Yelp
We were greeted with a friendly welcome when we visited with our service dog as a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon. The wines were great and the tasting room attendant who served us was very knowledgeable of the wines and the estate. I was able to get a little tour of the facility as well.

Jessica E.

Yelp
I would give this ten stars if I could. Jessica greated us for our appointment and was so wonderful! She spent so much time with us and really shared the values and history of the winery and then tasted us on the best wines we had in Oregon. Cristom will always be number one for us. Thanks Jessica for the best experience and thanks Cristom for making such beautiful wines.

Yelp
Found this amazing place thanks to my Airbnb guest: If you haven't done Bryn Mawl please do. Best views of any of the vineyards we went too. Cristom had best wine. Argylle, Four Graces and Erath are some of my favorite wines. All just awesome. Thank you again for everything. Just an great experience and we will be coming back!

Laura T.

Yelp
Cristom Vineyards is a must do! We decided to do the Immersion Tour and loved every minute. We got to see all of the different varieties and learn about Cristom's hands on process. We had a new found appreciate for wine making. Thank you Jessica and Mitch for the wonderful experience!!

Yelp
Super nice folks and fantastic wines. Visited this last holiday weekend and Shanna was wonderful. Friendly but professional. Made for a relaxing afternoon. Thank you.

Nichole P.

Yelp
Great customer service from Membership Director, Kevin! I needed gifts for some of my business connections that live out of state. He was able to get my gifts shipped out the same day I contacted him with a personal message to each of the recipients. My time is short, so he even selected the wines for me based on my description and price point of what I wanted to send. Thanks for the fast, efficient, and knowledgeable help!

Nancy C.

Yelp
Good wine poor service. Have been a club member for 7 years and started to have problem getting deliveries. Instead of working on the issue they basically said too bad. Pay additional shipping for another attempt. We'll, I had to cancel membership and they basically said don't let the door hit when it closes....not good for business. This is my first bad review ever!

Yelp
Amazing winery! I've enjoyed some of their wines at home before but first time visiting the winery for a tasting. This place was on the way to the beach so decided to check them out! Made reservations, thought with the cold and rain, it was pretty slow. Was about 30 min late, but we were one of two parties that was there so they were very accommodating! We started out with the estate rose, light crisp and refreshing! (I dont remember the year) Next was the 2017 Chardonnay. Very buttery, kinda oak-y, drinkable and I would say almost like a napa Chard. I really liked it. Then the pour of the 2018 Mt Jefferson Pinot Noir, which ive had many times! Prices has gone up, I guess due to inflation, but a really good value Pinot if you're looking for something young and drinkable right away! Then the good stuff came, then a 2017 Old Vine Series: Hyland Vineyard was amazing. Light, stilly fruity and really drinkable for such old vines! We ended up getting a bottle of this! 20(17?) Paul Vineyard && Eileen Vineyard was the last 2. The Paul was okay, but the Eileen was AMAZING! Such fruity characteristic on the nose, light but fruity on the palette. I think this could be even better 5-10 years down the road. So we ended up with a bottle of that! They weren't tasting the syrah (saddd!) so we decided to grab the current release bottle of the 2017 Estate Syrah, but we decided to also grab a half bottle of the 2015 Syrah just to try. I figured, it was half the size, $28 (almost half price, normally $50) and to give it a try and boy I wish bought more of the larger bottles! The vineyard was beautiful! Lots of views, hopefully once COVID is over and the weather is warmer, I will be back!

Yelp
Such a great experience made greater from our host, Jess. We learned so much about the family owned vineyard. She provided history, winemaking, and background for the different family vineyards recommend her and the vineyard for a lovely time. Thanls

Yelp
My wife and I came out to visit the Willamette Valley and did extensive research as to which wineries to visit. We received several recommendations from friends to visit Cristom. So, we made reservations several months in advance. When we arrived today for our appointment, we were told that we were the last tasting as the winery scheduled a private event. While the staff was polite, there was clearly no interest in working with us and giving us any background on either the winery or the wines. We were in and out in under 25 minutes. We were barely able to finish one wine before the next was poured. Extremely disappointed in the professionalism and treatment received from this winery and will not be recommending to any of our friends to visit.

Yelp
My coworkers and I went there yesterday to celebrate my upcoming wedding. Cristom was our first stop. Our hostess was absolutely amazing! She told us all about the Vineyard and the family history. She made every bit of our stop informative and fun. The charcuterie board was also plentiful and delicious. We ended up staying longer than we had planned. The entire experience was so great that I decided to be a club member. I purchased six additional bottles because they were that good! Today at work, everyone kept talking about Cristom and what a wonderful experience it was and how delicious the wines were. We went to two other wineries after Cristom. Cristom was easily the favorite of everyone in our group.

Yelp
This was one of our favorite vineyards we dropped by. The wines were all very fragrant and tasty. The service was some of the best we had all day. The ladies behind the counter did not just make us feel welcome but we really stayed awhile and enjoyed our tasting. Most of our group actually bought something because the wines were a touch spendy but well worth their price. The grounds are also stunning with a beautiful garden right in front overlooking the Willamette Valley. It was just breathtaking.

Caitlin M.

Yelp
A very special thank you to Shanna. She made my visit to Christom feel so magical! Her love for life and wine and the way the two flow together was everything! She is so knowledgeable and passionate about what she does- a true sign that something is going right. From the welcome pour I knew I was in for a treat. The most beautiful views and incredible vibes are here. I have nothing bad to say about any of it. Perfect for any occasion and I can not wait to celebrate here again!
google avatar

Bob D.

Yelp
An awesome tour and vineyard. My group reserved the Cristom experience and we were not disappointed. Dustin, who handled our tour and tasting was amazing. He knew the wine business, the winery and the wine. The Cristom Pinot Noir is exceptional - there was no question some was being shipped home! Dustin, thank you for the fine visit and for your recommendation for the hike at Silver Falls.

Yelp
Booked their Educational Experience 2 weeks prior. Greeted warmly. Played a game of "guess the scent". Got a tour of the vineyards. Spectacular views. Went back and tasted more wines with snacks. Felt at home here. We love it. Great wine & a great "Educational Experience". Thank you Gaironn!
google avatar

Kristin K.

Yelp
The good: pinots were wonderful, nice view. Our wine guide let us taste a few wines not on the menu. The not-so-good: $25 for a tasting? Pours were skimpy - barely enough to taste the wine. Plus you have to buy three bottles before they waive one tasting fee - one. Isn't the whole point of a tasting to get you to buy the wine? I thought the whites were awful.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Beautiful space. No service. We ordered a glass of wine at the bar, but were never spoken to again. It's really too bad. I'm always looking to spend a lot of money when I take the time to drive to wineries. Guess they didn't need any money today. On to the next vineyard!!
google avatar

Melinda W.

Yelp
Cristom is a solid, professional tasting experience...especially with COVID. Our host was great and knew a great deal about the wines and explained them well.

Yelp
Just spent the afternoon/evening tasting wine and having a fantastic five course meal with wine pairings. This winery is in South Salem with a beautiful view of Mt Hood. I really enjoyed the Pino Gris. The food started with apps, my fav was the salmon mousse on a wafer of radish. The first course was chilled buttermilk soup with shrimp and dill. Soooo good. Next was a green bean salad with picked cherries, yes cherries, and goat cheese. A perfect combination. The main course was lamb chops, lamb paprika sausage, cucumbers with a yogurt dill sauce and a tomato salad. Dessert was a poppy seed cake topped with berries and lemon verbena whip cream. OMG I was so stuffed and happy. This winery is a hidden gem and the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. Take a drive, spend some time, enjoy some wine.

Yelp
Good wine and a pleasant patio and grassy area within which to taste. Good (but not great) views. $15/pp basic tasting with one fee waived with purchase of 2 bottles. You can buy up to fancier flights and even arrange a picnic. Surprised and somewhat disappointed in the number of wine tour vans/unknowledgeable tourists filing in - the place was much busier than I expected. Nonetheless - a good and tasty experience!

Yelp
$5 tasting. My friend liked the Jessie, but I had too much to drink at other wineries that I couldn't really tell what was what anymore. So....none really stood out for me. LoL They had a Korean sign hanging in the corner of their tasting room. I wonder why?

Yelp
**Update Review 5/24/14 Experience I'm glad I gave Christom a second chance. My friends and I were greeted not only by the staff but by the owner, Tom. This time we got to hear the story behind the wine. Tom invited us out to walk around the vineyard. He explained how each vineyard on the property was named after an important woman in his father's life. Tom also took us to the cellar and explained the different types of barrels used and how it affects the flavor of the wine. He showed us by tasting that different vineyards on the property also produced different types of wine. The first wine we tried was a Pinot Gris. I don't think I tried this one last time. I really liked the Pinot Gris because it wasn't so sweet. We also tried some Pinot Noir and Syrah. My two favorites were the Pinot Gris and Syrah. At the end of showing us around the vineyard, my friends, Tom and I sat outside at the picnic tables and had some more wine. Tom took the time to talk with my friends and really showed the passion he has in the winery. If you would ask me now if I would go back to Christom, I would say yes. I would go back because this time I did receive amazing service from the moment I arrived. Also, the wines I tried were tasty. The bread sticks were just as buttery delicious as last time and the view was breath-taking. I changed my rating of Christom from 2 stars to 5 because of all these components. In regards to the pricing I talked about in my last review, I now understand why some of these wines are priced a bit higher than I would usually pay for a bottle. Some of these wines are aged therefore that may affect the price. Note to Tom: Thanks for showing your passion in the wine and your winery. This is what my last experience was missing. I loved hearing the story behind the wine. It makes the wine that much better. Being able to hear it from you who actually experienced it while growing up on the vineyard was the best part. Thanks, Tom! I feel like I can say you are my friend. :) 4/24/14 Review: Pretentious and overpriced. The woman pouring was talking badly about other wineries as if there wine taste better. The wine here was just ok. Would I go back? Hell no! The person serving wine was talking crap on other wineries telling guests other wineries close at 5- not true! We made it to Dobbes Family Estate in less than 30 minutes which closes at 6pm. The breadsticks that were complimentary taste better than the wine. One of the guest asked if he could purchase the breadsticks just before spitting out their wine. "No," was the answer he received. I've gone wine tasting quite frequently and have NEVER had a winery talk crap on another wineries. Save your $10 and go to Witness Tree which is right next door. There wine is better and half the price. You will also get better service. You might ask why two stars, the view was beautiful and their complimentary breadstick were amazing! Great job to the baker who made those delicious long tasty creations.

Yelp
Some friends and I were recently in the Valley doing a bit of tasting and decided to make a last minute stop at Cristom before heading home. What a great decision that was! The tasting room staff was extremely attentive and very informative. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

Yelp
I LOVE Cristom. I love their wine. Dustin was probably a HUGE factor in us joining the wine club. He is SO knowledgeable, funny, friendly and he has the same palate for wine that I do. I have NEVER EVER had bad wine here. Cristom is more upscale than a lot of other vineyards in their pricing. They don't offer you a tasting OR a glass of wine as a member, and I understand why they don't want to cheapen the tasting room experience, but it will pinch the purse a bit more to make it a pop in for a glass if you're a member. I haven't yet gone to any of the member events, but I am really looking forward to it. This wine will not disappoint you, be prepared to pay for it though because it is GOOD wine.

Yelp
Impromptu trip to our first winery! Recommended to us by an 'ideabox' architect, we made our way over after our meeting. The site was absolutely gorgeous. Walking up there is an array of beautifully arranged flowers. Entering the tasting area you pass through tall, thick, ornate wooden doors. Beautiful view from every perspective. This experience was a little different then I would expect it had been, considering it was Memorial day weekend. They were having an event. Each purchased a flight, which included: a flight of 5 wines, a hot dog and a home brewed beer. Now this being my first winery, I started with a blank slate, knowing absolutely nothing about wine. Although I drink it daily :P I loved the Viognier. Bought my first bottle of white wine. I usually prefer reds and although the Niors were pleasing to my palate, we opted for the Viognier. Now typically they would waive the flight fee if you purchase a bottle, but since this was an event it wasn't applicable, no biggie. In addition to the wines, the staff was very knowledgable, friendly and welcoming, including their black lab, whose name I forget. Oh and FYI, she likes belly rubs and hot dogs. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful experience to our first winery! Looking forward to opening our bottle over some dinner this week. Oh and look for the spotted llama as your driving out :)

Yelp
We hosted a bridal shower here. The employees are super helpful. The wine amazing and the view is just perfection.

Yelp
Lovely midday tasting along with lunch. Beautiful view and setting. Fantastic staff who are knowledgeable and attentive. Highly recommend.

Susan G.

Yelp
Tastings are $25 each at this winery and the flight includes six tastes. Appointments are necessary although we were able to make ours at the last minute. We really enjoyed our tasting experience in that it was very relaxed and lasted over one hour. The hostess was knowledgeable and very friendly. The setting has a great view and has lots of comfortable seating. In the end though, we didn't buy any wine because we just weren't very impressed with it.

Yelp
Cristom was our first stop of the day for a Willamette winery extravaganza, and it was a great way to start! Our group of four started our tasting experience with a quick trip out to the vines to discuss the history of the property and the terroir (with a tasting of their pinot gris to go along with the short walk). Unfortunately I don't know what the name of the gentleman who served us was . . . but he was fantastic! Knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. The wine was delicious, especially their Eileen vineyard 2013 pinot noir. Our four tasting fees ($15 each) were waived since we spent more than $200 on wine. The only potential slight negative was that the tasting menu stated that we'd get a local cheese and meat snack with our wines, but that never materialized. But, that was OK, since we'd had a big breakfast and didn't really need the snack anyway.
google avatar

Missy W.

Yelp
Fantastic wine. Love the building and grounds. Its worth a visit. My only issue is the miscommunication between staff. We have been previously and were able to bring a picnic. On the last visit we called to double check and were told it was okay. On our group wine tour we planned to eat lunch at Cristom however the Sales Manager came our a scolded us for bringing food and said they've never allowed food brought in. Weird. Because of this we ended our tasting, didn't buy anything and left to another winery and had lunch, purchased wines, joined the wine club and even bought some of their cheese plates. Oh well, Cristoms loss.

Yelp
I think perhaps the real reason I drink so much beer is because it will not bankrupt me. Wine just may be the vice that lands me in the poor house. But what a way to go. I'd be drinking Cristom's 2009 single vineyard pinots by the name of Louise, Jessie and Marilyn all the way there. They are some fantastic wines but pricey. Still want some of the Cristom magic for a more reasonable price? Grab a nice bottle of their Pinot Gris for $17. They also offer Viogniers, Syrahs and Chardonnay. I really like this AVA and this is one of the standouts for sure complete with friendly tasting room employees. Oh and of course the grounds are stunning. Really what else can you expect from this area? Great pinots and a gorgeous view. Kill me now.
