CROCCANTE ARTISAN PIZZA

We were really impressed by the pizza here. The sauce is really delicious and the crust is nice and fluffy. Our chicken wings were super delicious and the garlic knots were next level with the marinara sauce. Definitely will be returning to try some more items.

I'm not usually a Detroit pizza fan, but this place is pretty spectacular. Pizzas are perfect for two people and the dough knots are also a great appetizer. We ordered the potato and pancetta pizza and added hot honey, which help give the pizza an extra umph.

Super yummy place we discovered in Napa this weekend! Garlic knots were delicious and then we got the thin Chicago pizza and added meatballs and onion, it was so yummy & crunchy. Servers were great, good indoor and outdoor seating

A disapointment.... The 2 pizzas we got ( 1 mushroom & 1 pepperoni) were so pretty and photogenic but the taste is well below average. They charge you for parmesan which barely helps We also as an appetizer got wings that were still frozen in the center ☠️. They said they'd remake them but we didn't see them until we asked for the check and were done eating. Oh and the Alfredo chicken is a joke. May as well have advertised it as cheese free there was so little Alfredo. Even without the frozen chicken problem this is a hard pass if flavor is what you are looking for. Great for Instagram

This is our favorite pizza place in Napa hands down. The Detroit style pizza is just the right crispy texture without feeling greasy. Get the garlic knots and croccante pizza. It will not disappoint! Chad is the nicest server!

The food here was great! Worth a visit while in Napa! Unique pizza and the garlic knots were delicious! They have the most delicious ranch dressing that tastes fresh with dill herbs! A must try!

Got to make my first visit here a couple weeks ago. What a fabulous little spot. It’s tucked in a quiet spot at the edge of the downtown area. The venue and the staff are so inviting and welcoming. We had a rather large group, and the owner was quick to help pull tables together and get us taken care of. I love seeing a staff that pays attention to details. We felt so well cared for! As for pizza, I shared a Detroit style and had a glass of rose. I wish the aioli had been on the side, but no big complaints. When some of my friends got their thin-crust, tavern-style pizza, I got jealous. It all looked and tasted so great! I’ll definitely be back!

Happen to bump into this place while driving by and decided to give it a try. The salad was fresh and really enjoyed the Chicago style pizza they offered.

I have had the Detroit style pizza here several times, and it is always a treat. The crust is super fluffy with a big open crumb. The cheese gets perfectly crisped on the edges (I always steal the corner pieces for maximum cheese crisp!) you really can't go wrong with all the flavor varieties they have either. The burrata is classic and delicious, anything with ricotta dollops is a luxury, and plenty of veg incorporated, which I appreciate! Buffalo wings come with the best blue cheese dressing I've ever had. Chunks of blue cheese pair with the crisp wings perfectly. Service is efficient and attentive - highly recommend!!

The food here was great! The Detroit style pizza was so good and fluffy, o thought it was going to be dense and hard to chew but it was honestly perfect. The chicken came straight off the bone, the buffalo had the perfect kick to it and the sweet chill wings had the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. The place was so nice and it had a nice inside and outside. The only thing I would say if you choose to eat outside be ready to get hit with some sun. The bathrooms are clean but there is only one. The only reason I'm giving this place a 4 is because of the service. When we were making a reservation there was a 15$ cancelation fee per person. I've seen this with reservations with over 15-20 people but with four people I think it's silly. They were also super slow and they would forget what we had to ask them to bring. We asked 3 different times for ranch and we never got it. Don't get me wrong they are super polite and sweet, there attitude wasn't the problem. overall I would be coming back

This place is absolutely amazing! I went here on a Thursday and it had almost no traffic, from reading the reviews it seems like that's a fairly rare occurrence. The ambiance is very nice, their lighting is dim and not harsh on the eyes, I can't remember if there was music playing but regardless if you're going there on a date it's very easy to hear the person across from you when they're speaking. I got a half burrata half roasted potato pancetta pizza and it was delicious. The crust is similar to a focaccia in texture and has a nice edge of crispy cheese to go with it. The toppings are great and creative, definitely not something you'd get at your regular pizza place. Not to mention that the server we had was very attentive and accommodating. TLDR: amazing food, service, and ambiance.

I was craving pizza for lunch. I looked up pizzerias and Croccante came up. I saw pictures of their thick pizza and excited to check it out. Off to Napa I go! After dealing with slight traffic (I forgot Bottlerock was this weekend...oops!) I made it. I was greeted and seated right away. I ordered a Roasted potato and pancetta pizza (Detroit Style)- thick, crunchy, worth every bite! It was such a savory treat! I also ordered the croccante wings. It was in a glaze, served with arugula and a side of celery with Bleu cheese dressing. That sweet glaze was soooo good! The outer skin of those wings were crispy, but, came off the bone so easily with each bite. The Bleu cheese for the celery was pretty good! I typically don't care for Bleu cheese dressing, it's normally kind of bitter and sour tasting to me. This one was smooth and had a nice taste to it! For dessert, I went with the strawberry lemonade sorbet. It was such a nice sweet and tart chilled treat! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Croccante. I have absolutely no complaints. Topnotch hospitality. The hard working, pleasant and very attentive employees,. The restaurant was very clean as well as the bathroom. There was cute seating outside. Due to very high winds, I chose to eat inside the restaurant. There are both cozy tables and booths and a bar area. It's located in Downtown Napa on Pearl Street. There's street parking (2 hour limit) and a couple of free public parking lots in the area. I definitely will return to Croccante!!!! I will eat outside the next time I come to visit. Great pizza and food. Good beer selection. It gets busy here, so reserve ahead of time. The pizza and salad were spectacular. Despite being over-the-top busy, service was still great, and food service time was appropriate.

I had been meaning to try Croccante and finally had the chance to do so today. All I can say is WOW! Fluffy crust, perfect seasoning, cheese to die for.. Service was superb, you can tell they really care here. I definitely will be back, best pizza I've had in Napa hands down! Thank you so much Croccante for the spectacular experience!

Really nice little place. Cozy bar area and a restaurant on the other side. Fast service and friendly folks. Fantastic Detroit style pizza. Four cheese with pepperoni did not disappoint, and the little dollop of ricotta was a nice addition. The crust was delicious - perfectlybrowned crust with a hearty crisp. Croccante I must see Place in Napa. If you love pizza I'd like to sit on the street and watch people walk. Octavio was really good and took care of us. Our first time here they are dog, friendly, and loved the service. Chicago cracker crust pizza was delicious.

Detroit pizza in downtown Napa. With a too bright dining room made uncomfortably loud by a plethora of hard, flat surfaces, Croccante Pizza is a midwest pizzeria magically transported to Wine Country. The Detroit-style pizza is good: rectangular with a thick crust covered to the edges with cheese that is caramelized against the pan edge and topped with hearty tomato sauce. While satisfactory, the crust is a bit too bready and not crisp and chewy enough to be totally authentic. With a mix of romaine and kale, the Caesar salad ($15) was perfect for two people to share as an appetizer. Fresh and crisp, it had the right amount of dressing and croutons, but sadly no anchovies. Topped with house-made tomato sauce, and adorned with copious amounts of crumbled meatballs, pepperoni, roasted bell pepper, a blend of cheeses and Parmesan, the Detroit-style "Croccante" pizza ($25) was filling and delicious. A big bonus is that any leftovers reheat well in your oven the next morning for breakfast. With a cracker crust, the "tavern style" pizza boasted tons of toppings, but little sauce -- a good foil to the more hearty Detroit-style slab. Servers were personable and service was swift. The California-focused wine list is reasonably priced and has sufficient selections by the glass and by the bottle for diners to find a selection that meets their taste. Pro tip: One Detroit-style or one "tavern style" pizza is more than enough for one hungry person, or along with an appetizer, sufficient for two people to share. Croccante Pizza brings Detroit to the local 'hood.

I have never been to Napa Valley before and my boyfriend wanted pizza so we stopped here for lunch. The food was spectacular. We ordered the Detroit style pepperoni pizza and I had the cannolis for dessert. All of it was delicious. The service was top notch and our waiter was very friendly. The ambiance was great because we sat outside. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who visits Napa Valley. Two thumbs up.

I don't say this lightly. We have just found our new favorite pizza place: Croccante Pizza. We decided to check this place out after hearing that they serve Detroit-style pizza, which we had never tried before. The restaurant is located downtown, conveniently right across from the river-front parking lots. There's an indoor dining room and bar, in addition to sidewalk seating. We grabbed a table indoors last night. The atmosphere was lively, with tables full of families, friends and couples on dates. We ordered the Croccante pizza and the mushroom pizza to share. Both were delicious, but the Croccante was my favorite because of the amazing tomato sauce! It was just the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Honestly, the sauce alone would be worth a trip here. The Croccante also comes with crumbled meatball, pepperoni and sweet bell peppers. The crust, which was the same for both pizzas, was also top notch. At first glance, I expected it to be a dense brick of bread, the kind that socks you in the stomach and makes you full after one slice. But it was light, fluffy and very bingebale. True to the Detroit style, the crust was edged with a nice crispy layer of baked cheese. Yum! As for portion sizes, each Detroit pizza is baked in an 8x10 pan and served in four slices. Two adults could probably get full sharing a salad and splitting one pizza, but I recommend trying a couple of different pizzas to share and just bringing leftovers home if you have any. For dessert, we split an order of the chocolate chip cannoli. Delicious. Not too sweet. Bonus tip: Don't miss out on the extensive wine list. Plenty of bottles and some wine by the glass available.

I have a home in Sacramento, but spend a bunch of time locally in Napa/Yountville and .... it seems .... every time I am in town, I crave croccante. Not only are they getting MORE popular, I run into people I know every single time! Day or evening. There's usually a wait, even if you order ahead.... Trust me though..... the way they get this perfectly crusty texture, but pillowy inside, doughy, the perfect bite, perfect amount of toppings, juicy but not greasy..... GAH! We came here noontime on Saturday and were seated right away. It wasn't busy for Mother's Day weekend. We were seated indoors. We were running late so the pizzas were a bit cold already. My family already ordered and ate when we arrived. We tried pan and thin crispy dough. The mushroom pizza was the best because it wasn't as salty.

They now make a thin crust too - yippee!! We are crazy pizza people and are always on the hunt for the best pie but we lean towards thin crust so haven't tried Croccante before. We noticed on this trip that they've added a new thin crust style and couldn't wait to try it. This review is for the pizza only as I ordered ahead and picked it up to bring home. One word - FANTASTIC! I freakin' loved it! Ordered the pepperoni/sausage that is on their menu and was so impressed by everything. The crust was perfection and the toppings were excellent quality. I may have finally found my go-to pizza place in Napa!

The namesake pie is a yummy option. Hearty enough to share or just save the leftovers. The sauce and peppers give it a sweet edge. Personally as a pepperoni lover it could've used more pepperoni (lol) so next time I'll probably just stick with that. I especially enjoyed the crust!! Crispy and cheesy, like Parmesan crisps. The crust, she's different.

The pizza here is so GOOD! We really wanted to have Detroit pizza and decided to come try this place. The restaurant is in downtown and very spacious with seating inside and outside. I got the pepperoni and my husband ordered the burrata Detroit pizza. Both were delicious! The burrata was so fresh and the balsamic drizzle on top was the perfect touch. The pepperoni pizza was so good! The sauce tasted so fresh and perfect on top. We got a spicy aioli to add to our pizza and it was a great taste! This is definitely a place I would recommend people to try while in Napa!

This might be the best pizza... in Napa... in N. America! yes, I've lived in Italy and I've been to Brooklyn so I know my pizza. I'm a big fan of the Detroit so if I gain 10 lbs in the next few months, blame it on Croccante.

Easily my new favorite spot in Napa! Went with the family last night to check it out and we ordered the mushroom pizza and the sausage & broccolini, plus the garlic knots to share between the 5 of us. Personally, sausage and broccolini is not a combination I'd ever choose on my own, but it was easily my favorite! The sausage and sauce had a really nice and herbaceous flavor and the broccolini was the perfect textural addition. Also, not being a fan of thicker crust pizzas, their Detroit style is thick in appearance but light and airy in texture (and SO good!) The garlic knots are also light and airy and bathed in garlic and Parmesan. The pizzas are served in fours, so we cut each slice in half so that we could all try everything. It was more than enough food. Service was quick and friendly once we were seated. Very pleasant! I'm half-tempted to go for a second day in a row! (Or at least grab to go for my trip home!)

I have always wanted to try Detroit style pizza and hadn't gotten around to it. I had some friends tell me about this place, and decided it was finally time to give Detroit style pizza a try. My sister and I got the Croccante wings to start, they were cooked perfectly and the sweet chili sauce was good. Then we decided to order two pizzas to try, we got a pepperoni and jalapeños and their pulled pork pizza. The pepperoni one was yummy, I really liked the outer crust it was crispy and tasted cheesy. The jalapeños added a nice little kick. The pulled pork was also very good, think pulled pork sandwich meets pizza. And they didn't skimp on the pork. To end our meal we shared the panna cotta which was nice and creamy almost like ice cream. Service was fast and friendly. The only thing I will say it is a bit on the pricier side, about $25/pizza with four slices. But aside from that, I would definitely come back!

My husband and I were spending the day at n Napa and we were craving pizza and this was one of the first places on Yelp that we found. We loved the garlic knots that we ordered for our appetizer. So fresh and absolutely delicious. We loved the deep dish pepperoni pizza.

Never been to Napa I had to work down there for a few days stayed at the river Terrence Inn. Was looking for a nice place to eat something simple but not fast food places. Looked for some local pizza restaurants. And the reviews for this restaurant was good. So decided to give it a try. I'm really not a person who wants to try new places. Because Money is tight and I am use to what I'm use to. But I really did my homework around the area. And decided to get out of my comfort zone. The service was a 10 the punctuality was a 10 the food was 10 the atmosphere was 10.

1st time trying Croccante due to positive YELP reviews. The ambiance and service was great! The restaurant was very clean as was the restroom. The server was super helpful with the menu. All the staff were friendly and attentive. We sat outdoors and it was a great setting as the shade from the trees coupled with a nice breeze, kept us comfortable. The food quality was excellent! We started with garlic knots and croccante wings with sweet chili sauce for appetizers. The marinara sauce was so fresh and tasty with the knots and the blue cheese dressing stood out as it tasted better than usual blue cheese dipping sauces that I've had. There were 4 of us and we shared 2 pizzas: the Burrata Pizza w/prosciutto added and the Croccante Pizza. Both pizzas were cooked perfectly and were so flavorful. I honestly can't say one was better than the other. They were different but so, SO GOOD! I can't remember having pizza that tasted that good in a long, long time!

You better cut the pizza in four pieces because I'm not hungry enough to eat six -- Yogi Berra Yelpers overrate this place. Yes, the wine list is interesting, the employees are nice; but the toppings and crust on the Detroit style pizza were mediocre. I was mystified at the high rating. Your mileage may vary of course. Not recommended.

I LOVE Detroit-style pizza and Croccante does it right! FYI, croccante in Italian means crisp(y) :) Aesthetic - 6/10 It's really not much to look at and the layout is kind of silly. You enter right in the heat of the traffic of servers from the kitchen to the dining room. Realistically though, I don't go to pizza places for the aesthetics. Staff - 9/10 TBH, I loved our server. He was so attentive and excited about everything we ordered! The reason this isn't a 10 is because when we first arrived, we awkwardly stood in the congested, traffic zone waiting area for an awkwardly long time before anyone even acknowledged us to try to seat us. Our order: - Croccante wings (5/5) - Seriously yummy with a sauce that's to die for. - Burrata (5/5) - Fulfills your pizza-place burrata wishes! Not the fanciest but it wasn't expected to be. - Roasted Potato and Pancetta Pizza (4/5) - Man this pizza was good! It's definitely not your traditional pizza but that's what we wanted and that's what we got! - Croccante pizza (5/5) - These squares flew off the table and into our tummies. We will definitely be coming back for this pizza. Napa needed a new pizza spot and Croccante is doing an excellent job filling those shoes!

Best pizza! We had pepperoni with fresh basil, bacon, and jalapeño, yummy! The crust was crispy with parmesan. The wings were hot and crispy. Of course had to try the pistachio gelato. The waiter was very attentive. Nice little place with inside and outside seating.

Firstly I'd like to mention that this family is known for making the best bread in town! They've catered pizza and sold their bread at the farmers market for years. I couldn't wait to go into their new restaurant they've worked so hard to open and give it a try. We went in with a group of 7 and they were able to accommodate well. I love how they renovated inside, they have booth seating, high top tables, outside seating and a bar. It felt very home-y and inviting. It was pretty busy but our food came out quickly. Our server Annie was so friendly and prompt. We got the salad and chicken wings to start. I loved that the salad was lightly dressed and crisp, and chicken wings were on another level! I think my husband would just come back for the chicken wings alone. The Detroit style pizza sets them apart from other pizza spots. The airy thick bread, with the toppings were delicious. We tried the mushroom, four cheese and pepperoni. I will say if you've never had Detroit style before like myself, keep an open mind because it's definitely delicious. I think two people could split one pizza because of how filling it is. All in all, I will be coming back. Way to go Kostek family!

Heyyyyyyyyy you guysssssss! While in Napa you have to come check this place out the starters and the pizza are amazing, fresh, vibrant flavors-great scenery as well as, indoor and outdoor seating available. Surrounded by a beautiful downtown, charming town. Walk don't run-let's eat!

This place just keeps getting better and better every time we eat here. The food is always fresh and service is always on point. They have some of the best wines on there list also have a solid beer selection. I have now tried everything on the menu and enjoyed them all. The restaurant is always kept clean and they have outdoor seating.

This place is wonderful! Both styles of pizza were delicious, as were the meatballs, Caesar salad and shrimp linguine. The service was also friendly and attentive.

First time we tried this pizza was at the music festival Bottlerock. We knew if they could pull off pizza at a festival they would be worth a try at their brick and mortar location. So my friends and I decided to go to downtown Napa and really try them out. I personally loved the square pizza with its delicious and crispy edges! We were here on a weekend but we're surprisingly seated and served quickly

I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars for the absolutely delicious Detroit style pizza. We had the croccante and drove from St. Helena to get it. I highly recommend it. I wish all pizza was Detroit style!!!

Excellent Detroit-style pizza and a nice wine selection at this local joint. Also had the meatballs which were really good. Went here for lunch and loved the abundance of shade over our sidewalk table, provided by the trees.

We just finished our second outstanding meal from Croccante Pizza. The Chicken fettuccine, Shrimp Linguine and Pepperoni Pizza were all delicious! The sauce on the pizza has such a great flavor and the crust is crispy and light. Highly recommend Croccante Pizza!!!

So... I got a message after my last review that they do have a locals night on Monday! We brought a 2006 Grgich Cabernet, shared it with our server, Chad and the owners wife, Alice! Such absolutely precious people! Chad was just an incredible server, and so friendly... We just loved him! Today we split a Caesar and we split the Baratta pizza and they were both delicious! Next time I want to try their thin crust pizza!!! Love this cozy little restaurant in downtown Napa a mile from our home! Thx guys!!

Our second time at Croccante was just as good as the first. The garlic knots are incredible. If you like garlic you'll love the knots. The "croccante" pizza is delicious. The sauce is yummy. The thick crust is literally incredible. It's crisp on the outside and very tender on the inside. The marinara sauce is really good! I highly recommend! Service is friendly great but not rushed. The atmosphere is great! Clean and modern. We highly recommend Croccante!

I came here for the cracker thin crust style pizza, and it was pretty tasty. My only complaint was I would like more sauce, especially since they load up the other toppings pretty nicely! I did not love the meatball appetizer, it was pretty OK - not bad, but nothing to write home about either.
