ALX Gastropub Reemerges as Wagyu-Focused ALX by Alexander’s Steakhouse | Eater SF

"Planned renovations for this FiDi mall aim to attract more local food vendors and shops with a roughly $30 million proposal that includes a new open-air restaurant space; the 1982-era center currently houses about 35 shops and restaurants across three floors but has several vacant spaces." - Janelle Bitker

The Galleria itself it's like an Alley Pocket Mall, and while a lot of the stores are empty it's still a beautiful place to have lunch, especially if you bring your own. On the 4th level, levels 1-3 have escalators but to get 4th floor you have to take stairs, theres a nice rooftop garden and quiet space. While not too much to see it's a nice place to walk around and breathe or eat if you don't want to inside. There are bathrooms but require a passkey, which I couldn't get, but I wasn't trying too hard. A lovely place to read a book or meet up with friends too.

📍 Crocker Galleria, at 50 Post Street in San Francisco, is a three-level retail center in the heart of downtown. Its prime location at the intersection of the Financial District and Union Square makes it a convenient spot for office workers and tourists. The galleria's distinctive glass-domed pavilion offers a unique shopping experience in a central, easily accessible location. ★★★★★

Google
Beautiful building and cute little garden on roof. However, not many shops left 😂

Google
Crocker Galleria is a charming, upscale shopping spot in downtown San Francisco, featuring boutique stores, casual dining, and a beautiful glass-covered atrium.

Google
Very nice mellow place where you can sit and not necessarily buy right away. There is an enclosed roof garden, as in a wall without roof for overlooking Montgomery/Market. The machine asked me to confirm hours, yet they differ. I have enclosed picture. As the written ones on the entrance may refer more to the shops themselves. I think entrance is allowed at 7am, coffee shops ready then I am sure. Then high end businesses at 10am. And says till 6pm, yet it is approaching 7pm and we are still allowed to wander freely, although cleanup & closing seems in progress. Confirmations will be updated. ~🐺Wolf approved ~🐺Wolf recommended Totally empty now November 2023 See #metal Leo channel on YouTube for video PATHETIC San Francisco

Google
Nice location for the facility and amenities but not so many stores were in business. Hopefully it flourishes again.

Google
I love stopping by here. Very clean and homeless free. Outdoor seating, calm relaxing place to stop at certain parts of the day. They also do a Farmers market too which is cool

Google
So pretty and peaceful at the rooftop garden!

Yelp
Crocker Galleria is such a nice spot in downtown SF! I love the open, airy vibe and the natural light from the glass ceiling, it feels relaxing just walking through. Great mix of cafés, local shops, and lunch spots. Super convenient if you're working or hanging out nearby!

Hilda C.

Yelp
It used to be a thriving place during lunchtime with plenty of restaurants to choose from. I passed by it a month or so and it is completely empty with no restaurants nor retail shops. A ghost town has more pedestrians.

Yelp
A pretty nice place to stop at if you need a place to chill. There are a lot of seats with tables and a roof overhead to keep you dry if it's raining. This is still an outdoor center though so it gets pretty cold. The first floor has outdoor heaters that we can thrn on ourselves (I think? I just saw someone do it and did it too lol). There are bathrooms on the 2nd floor but it does require a code which I'm sure you can get from the employees. I got lucky and got it in as someone was ckming out. Most places are closed so a lot of emptg lots, but it's a quick walk around if you want to see what is actually available. I saw one security gaurd walking around so that's always good. Not too crowded yet not empty either. Watch your step on the stairs, I remember the first going down from street level being only like an inch tall. Overall, nothing special but I'll def keep this place in the books for meeting up with people during lunch breaks.

Yelp
Standard mall type stores. They do a pretty good job keeping the place clean which is impressive considering the area. Standard stores. The have a good farmers market here on Thursdays.

Yelp
This review is for the parking lot valet. The staff attendant are courteous and patience with us. Having four kids exiting the car isn't always fast as we hoped to. The attendant never once rushed us. Wish the price for parking isn't so steep . It is what it is , Driving into downtown .

Yelp
3.5 stars. All the restaurants on the 3rd floor are pretty delicious and reasonably priced. Nice place to have lunch on a weekday afternoon. Love the dome glass design at Crocker Galleria! I have not visited any of the non food stores here so can't comment on those. Why not a higher rating? Because all the shops here close way too early. It's more ideal for the weekday mid morning/afternoon people or if you work near the area. People stay less than an hour here. Go to Union Square to finish the rest of your shopping!

Yelp
Occasionally, my sisters and I would walk from SF Chinatown to the Montgomery BART station. We always manage to stop here for a breather, sit and relax my tired, aching left knee and feet. Such was the occasion last year on Black Friday in the afternoon that we made our "pit stop" as one can tell by the photo that I had taken - 3:43 PM. The day after Thanksgiving, and there weren't too many shops opened; it was very quiet. This place was about empty - hardly anybody there. None of the eateries were even opened to purchase a sammie, snack, coffee, tea and/or water. I believe there were only two to three stores that were opened. Being that the Galleria is in the FiDi area, and there aren't too many businesses and corporations open on weekends, this is a nice place to "just chill" around the holiday season/weekends if one does not want to be around large crowds and the fast-paced ongoings around Union Square and Market/Powell Streets shopping area.

Yelp
I've been to Crocker Galleria a few times over the years to grab lunch or visit the farmers market. (I used to go all the time with a girlfriend who loved going to the farmers market.) I stopped by this last time with a coworker on Thursday, February 9th around 12:30pm. Decided to go to Giorgio's Pizza to celebrate national pizza pie day. I grabbed two slices. In the past, I've gone to Anderson Bakery to get a sandwich and Chaat Cafe Express to grab some chicken tikka masala, naan, and samosas. I also hear they have a nice rooftop. It'd be great to grab some food and head up to eat lunch on a sunny day. The galleria is a little confusing in it's layout as it's about three floors, but the staircases seem scattered around the building. (We got a little confused trying to get back down to the main floor.) Most of the food options are on the top floor. Decent sized shopping center. Not as big as other centers, but at least it's close to work as it's in the financial district.

Yelp
This is a real gem of a place tucked away by downtown/FiDi area. Even though it's small, there's quite a lot going on here. During my daily lunch stroll, I was walking up Post St. and noticed the farmer's market here -- lots of fresh veggies, fruits, pastries, breads, etc. for sale (and for sampling!). Booths with crafts and cacti/succulents for sale were also at the farmer's market. And there are lots of small boutiques on the second floor if you want to do some local shopping. I will probably come back to grab lunch from one of the many restaurants here (three stories filled with delicious choices!). There are also a few bakeries that offer cupcakes, crepes, pastries, and coffee if you just want an afternoon pick-me-up. When the weather turns nicer, I must eat lunch or relax upstairs on the roof garden. There weren't many tables but plentiful benches were available and it wasn't crowded at all. I'll be back for you, Crocker Galleria! Please note: - Mobile app says if you check-in via Yelp you can get a free farmer's market tote from Green Zebra printing. However, I found out they moved so I'm not sure if that's still available.

Yelp
This place suffers from the same malaise afflicting all tourist traps. They're so satisfied with the guaranteed fidi traffic that with a few exceptions no business here tries to improve. And that is even more true for the landlords - this place forever seems to be 60% occupied. Sure location is great, but the establishment is meh.
google avatar

Vanessa C.

Yelp
Disappointed because there was no business opened and no one at the center. Nice Christmas decorations though...

Yelp
This place is hella cool. The big chessboard is pretty cool. The chess pieces are kinda heavy though. Its a workout trying to move them around. The ceiling kinda looks like those places where you keep flowers. Theres a big clock too and thats cool. 3 floors here full of shops and eateries. I really like the roof garden.
google avatar

Bernadette M.

Yelp
I used to come here all the time when there was a FAZ restaurant here. Bummer that it was removed. It's three stories. Have tables on the main floor with heat lamps. Beautifully designed. A lot of new stores will be opening soon. It does get a little crowded for the lunch crowd so beware when trying to get onto the single person escalators!
google avatar

Bennett W.

Yelp
Crocker is certainly one of the best malls around. I've found myself coming here from time to time lately and don't recall this place being densely crowded. One of the features bringing me in will be the skylight roof and the roof garden. Overall, this is a very nice spot to get to something to eat, drink and relax. The rooftop garden is a nice spot to be at or enjoy your meal on a sunny day. **There is a Farmer's Market here on Thursday (11 am - 3 pm). Then from June - September, they are also here on Tuesday.
google avatar

Gina H.

Yelp
Cheap food for lunch. EXPENSIVE stores to shop! No wonder they are all empty! Moderate prices for the farmers market. Overall, you want a watch, go elsewhere... you wanna eat some chilli or meatloaf, stay!
google avatar

Cheryl P.

Yelp
Used to be a great place to get lunch, but all the restaurants are closing overnight. No notice, no information as to where they went. Shops are also closing. Everything that closes is replaced with green forest print on the windows, with no replacement shop/restaurant. No idea what's going on, but seems like everything will be gone from there soon.
google avatar

Anni Y.

Yelp
Food at the venues here are mediocre. Is only opened M-F and is a hot spot for lunch for people working in the neighborhood. Lots of eye candy for men and women here since most patrons coming through work in the good ol' Financial District.

Yelp
This mall confuses me. Although the somewhat "outdoor" appeal could be an attraction to most, the lack of shops that someone would actually shop at are slim to none. I can say that I have used one or two of the amenities within this mall-like complex, but I have never had the desire to take a trip to the Galleria and splurge on fine diamonds and precious accessories. I guess it's just a bit dated for me. Let's bring in the RELEVANCE!

Yelp
Why didn't I find out about this place sooner??? In my defense, it's kind of hidden.. ok not really, maybe I'm just really oblivious to awesome spots. It adds a nice touch to the FiDi. First of all, I love that it's a tri-level structure with a glass-rooftop. I love natural lighting, and this space definitely offers plenty of that. They have a great farmers market during the week with lots of fresh locally grown veggies and fruits. There are also a ton of yummy lunch places and cafes with reasonable prices. Even if you're not interested in buying lunch here, there's still plenty of tables for you to enjoy your lunch outside your office. The third floor kind of has a food-court feel, but with a much more gourmet array of choices - it's not your average Panda Express food court. For you hard core Yelpers and eco-friendly individuals, check-in the next time you're here and you'll get a free reusable tote!
google avatar

Yelp
Do you ever feel like you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the city? THIS is your place! it's a nice area to relax, grab a bite to eat, or just sit down and people watch. Indoor and outdoor seating, check! This place has everything from heat lamps to tables and chairs. You can get a pastry from Andersen Bakery, a cup of coffee at Tully's on a chilly day, or a cup of yogurt at SoGreen on a warmer day (or maybe just those days when you need a picker upper, since it's hardly ever warm in SF). Farmers market is here every Thursday, there is a food court at the top floor, various shops, a dentist office, massage shop, and even a center for snoring (random? probably...but this place has it all!). Need I say more? Oh yeah, you can't beat free wifi too. Darn, I just gave away my secret spot!

Yelp
So today the boys suggested hitting up Crocker for lunch and since I am the clueless newb, I said, why not and so we ventured on over to this beeeeeuuuuutiful semi outdoor mall and hit their upscale food court. Nish was super excited that the Indian place had finally opened up and so his vote was definitely on that. I, being deathly allergic to cinnamon, figured I'd check out the place, but knowing how high risk Indian food is in that department I was cautious. When I did ask about cinnamon in the curry, the :30 second puzzled look on the guy's face was enough to send me down to the kabob place instead. Once there, I ordered my lunch and then we all headed up to the rooftop patio and it is sooo cool. Just a great place to chill out at lunch and make fun of pigeons and throw old coins into the fountain. We then had to get back to work, but not before hitting the little bakery on the first floor and after finding out that they have a Farmer's Market here on Thursdays, well, what can I say other than, I'm a fan. Definitely will be coming back again soon :)

Yelp
Everything is fantastic with this gallery-mall, except when you check-in using your Yelp app and you get a shopping bag and redirects you to pick it up to a store that does not exist anymore. You go and ask the guy from the reception and they blame Yelp for not being updated. Hum. In any case, this galleria has tapped into the desires of the average consumer, like me, the one who can have lunch there, while getting a drink, checking the farmers market on Thursdays and shopping some cute clothes from the cutest boutiques in there. Plus you cannot miss the 'hidden terrace', one of the famous San Francisco PoPos. You can always go to the restaurants area of the gallery on the top floor, grab a 'to go' box and have the lunch at that terrace with awesome views. Enjoy!

Yelp
Haven't been in the Crocker Galleria in many years, but had the opportunity to visit it again during a recent YEE - Promenade Ball. I remembered it being upscale, in that it was anchored by two boutiques, Ralph Lauren Polo and Versace. Visited the Galleria several times for lunch in the top floor restaurants. which were nice in that you can enjoy your food in one of outside tables overlooking the Galleria's atrium. Though not all the stores were open during the YEE event, the Galleria has been revamped to have more local and small businesses, such as chair massages, hair salons, clothing, luggage, watches, floral and gift shops. Various food establishments are located throughout the Galleria, but the most of the restaurants are located on the third floor. For those that love farmers markets, the Galleria hosts a Farmers Market every Thursday from 11 - 3pm on the first floor. The Galleria has morphed into something new and different and warrants a visit if you're in the area.

Yelp
Great spot to bring your lunch and get sunshine! There's a rooftop garden and plenty of tables and chairs (even hear lamps for the cold SF winters) scattered through our. For shopping...there are lots of fun boutiques and pop ups plus a farmers market on Thursdays. Use the paypal app to get $5-10 off a bunch of the merchants here as well.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Crocker makes me sad to be a grown up. There are lots of corporate types at lunch eating bland, over-salted ethnic food. One star for the semi secret roof area, and another star for having a Farmer's market. Plenty of food choices, but nothing really that good, and probably only worth your time if you're desparate for a quick fix.
google avatar

Yelp
Sunshine through the glass ceiling without the pain in the arse wind or rain or whatever else crap the day may bring. Good places to eat - AND you can even bring your own lunch to the scene - no problem. If the day is really gorgeous, head on out to the crocker galleria roof. Ahhhh yes, being outside in the middle of the work day is intoxicatingly nice. :o) On Thursday be sure to check out the farmer's market - excellent produce for a great price. MMMmmmmm...strawberries.

Yelp
I started out writing this review about the shoe shine service located on the lower level. My reviews have a way of morphing into a different animals with spots instead of stripes and this has now turned into a story about an urban utopia of good soup, dropped cell phone calls and one of my favorite wine shops apparently getting shut down for selling liquor to minors. Where was this place when I was ten? The Crocker Galleria is a nice walk up the hill from my office. I like walking there when needing a break from faxes and the licorice police. The mall is covered and is a nice place to hide from the wind and shelters you from the other elements that come with working in San Francisco. There is a weekly farmers market where you can buy melons and ears of corn and can make you look domestic. The shoe shine service (mentioned above, but located below) is one of the best in the City. Bring in multiple pairs of shoes and they will extend a courtesy volume discount. The soup stand upstairs is good, but their sandwiches need help. Careful where you sit, or you might end up with a wad of Bubble Yum on the seat of your brand new trousers.

Yelp
My favorite thing about this mall is the farmer's market on Thursdays from 11am-3pm. Check it out sometime: some vendors even take credit cards. My second favorite thing is the rooftop terrace where you can enjoy your lunch. My third favorite thing is that it's a different route to get between Post and Sutter (on foot, of course: don't try biking/driving through the mall). I was annoyed that the first floor restrooms were for employees only. The signs redirected you to the third floor for the public restrooms. But it turned out that you needed to punch a code to get in. Oh, well: what did I expect? It /is/ in the middle of central SF.
google avatar

Katie K.

Yelp
The crocker galleria is a hidden little shopping center that is clean and full of fresh air and sunlight (when there is sun to be had). It also has a great rooftop deck that has a nice view of Market Street and some benches, but it gets pretty windy so beware if you are eating a salad you may end up wearing a salad at the end of your lunch. It has a variety of restaurants so you can go with a group and get your own food and not feel bad about wanting something different than Susan and Freddy. They also have a great Farmers market on Tuesday and Thursday that has booths with sweets and fresh baked bread, you really can't go wrong - just be sure to bring cash. Lunch time seating is always ample, I've never had a problem, just keep your eye out and have a representative from your lunch posse snag a table as they become available. Quick and Easy, with a neat assortment of Shops and Restaurants, try out Crocker for something new and less crowded.
google avatar

Fannie S.

Yelp
Not a fan of this place. Overpriced restaurants and shopping places. Don't waste your time...
google avatar

Tara M.

Yelp
This is kind of a weird mall. Very few, if any, of the stores are worth frequenting (high-end men's clothes, fancy luggage, cosmetic improvements), but there are some decent options in the food court. The San Francisco Soup Company is a reliable option, and Niji isn't half bad. New Asia, Pizzelle, and Fountain Cafe are more mediocre. And I'm so psyched that an outpost of the Chaat Cafe will be opening there at some point. I love that I can go to the Galleria from my office building without having to walk outside, a bonus when it's raining. And there's a farmer's market on Thursdays. The roof garden is pleasing on a sunny day.
google avatar

Kate F.

Yelp
This place is across the street from my office. The afternoon shorthand usually goes a little something like this-- "Lunch?" "Where we going?" "the Crock?" *Shrug* "k." The good thing about the Crock is that there is something bland and over-priced for everyone. No matter what you're in the mood for, you can come here and pay $10 for a mediocre version of it. So far, I've found the most palatable places to be Leia (like the princess, right? or is it Leila?) for kabobs and gyros, and Chaat Cafe for Indian. The chili place and the burrito place both suck the suck fantastic. I can't bring myself to pay $5 for a wee little dixie cup of soup at SF Soup Co. Medicine and the other Japanese place serve bland gooey veggies over slimy noodles. The Chinese place has its greasy stuff languishing in heated trays for hours and hours... Yet, I find myself here at least two or three days a week. Why? One star for convenience. One for breadth of choice. One for the roof garden, which really is a nice respite from the bustle and all. Such is the draw of the Crock.
google avatar

Aniyah G.

Yelp
Great mall, big has all the stores you need. And this year getting a picture was fun. They had games for the kids while they wait. New food court is great too. Easy to access with the street.
google avatar

Ted R.

Yelp
It's an OK midi-mall. Somewhere between the mini-mall and the regular mall, there's surely category space for the midi-mall... And if your work hive is in the Fi-Di, then this is pretty easy to get to, whether you're a worker bee, queen or drone... Also easy to get to from BART or MUNI, but I'd have a hard time understanding your motivation. The skylight is a bonus on sunny days, but the open-ended design is chilling on chilly days. Most of the sunny days are still chilly, and that's just so 3 star. I really don't want to describe the food, even though I eat there often enough. There's a decent range, and as far as I know, none of it is truly wretched, or even kinda bad. Most of it is kinda good, but hardly great. Which still draws a crowd in these parts...am I, right? Food downtown sucks butt, OK? There I admitted it, you can too. It's worse because there are so many bad places to choose from! Maybe that's why I'm so reliant on Yelp. Remind me of this when I get closer to review #100...anyways...back in midi-mall-land...there's decent grub. Somehow, this place could, and should, be above-average. Actually, I could almost give Crocker Galleria 3.5 stars for the range of food and the fact that it's decent, I'll eat my way from the chili to the burritos and the Indian to the Japanese every so many weeks. Yeah, you and your co-worker with opposite tastes in food can go out to lunch here and be happy...which you could say is better than 3 star...but it's hardly 4 star. That's the problem, even Medicine, where there's the uber-ultra-health food of the monks, an interesting place to take someone who wants someplace "different" for lunch, even Medicine can't break through the mediocrity. Even if my guests are pleased, I always wish the food the was just a little better there. And that's the interesting place! Storewise, there's not a lot for me, 'cept the card shop, which is adequate to above-adequate...most of the retailers aren't even worth describing in their generic-ness. But you may ask, "it can't all be average, can it?" And I'd say I could name three particularly good (as in legit 4 star) things about the CG mini-mall. Where I will give props is: Tully's http://www.yelp.com/biz/tullys-san-francisco The Thursday's Farmers' Markets http://www.yelp.com/biz/crocker-galleria-farmers-market-san-francisco Karibu Kenya http://www.yelp.com/biz/karibu-kenya-san-francisco But, I haven't been to the sky deck yet, so maybe there's a fourth thing so great that I could be convinced to give Crocker Galleria 4 stars...there's still a chance that this is an above average, semi-outdoor, fully-downtown midi-mall...there's still a chance.
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
I've been to SF a million times and had no idea this little center was here. They have a tea shop, some restaurants, some clothing stores and a farmer's market in the center of it. Up at the third floor (?) there's an outside terrace/garden that probably belongs to the neighboring building. It's like an outdoor multi-level mini-mall that's appropriate for grabbing some vegetables during farmer's market or grabbing a quick bite to eat.
google avatar

Sofia C.

Yelp
Love coming here to check out sales on weekends and get some caribou! This mall isn't too big, but they have most stores you would need, and it's clean.
google avatar

Nick L.

Yelp
Not much of a mall that interests me except for the farmers market that is around on Tuesdays and Thursdays I think. We got the tastiest fruit and some other bread/dips that we thoroughly enjoyed. If you are around the area, then it is worth checking out. You can sample the fruits as well (par for the course) to ensure it's a sweet batch.
google avatar

Petra B.

Yelp
Ok, so I always passed by this place on my way to work or shopping, so why did I not think of stopping here sooner? Perhaps, because I was waiting for yelp to "lure" me in via another outstanding elite event! The Crocker Galleria does not dissapoint in terms of both the diverse shops and food vendors you'll find inside of it as well as the uniqueness of it being and outdoor/indoor type mall. I've heard so many good things about the farmers market so I'm definetly itching to drop by one of these Thursdays myself and scoop out the goods! :)

Yelp
[Green Zebra Coupon: $5 off any food purchase of $6 or more at any Crocker Galleria restaurant] This place is my new favorite mall, mostly because it doesn't feel a thing like any other mall I've been to. Mostly the place seemed focused on the restaurants on the top level and had very few other shops. The architecture makes the place bright and open, and not too cold, even on foggy San Francisco days. The roof garden is also a nice touch. I'm not sure, but I think the WiFi reaches there which would make it a great place to do work that I'd otherwise have to do inside. The cashier we gave the Green Zebra coupon to had never seen it before and couldn't figure out how to plug it into the register so she just gave us $6 as if we'd had a frequent-buyers card. Basically I love this place.
google avatar

Kate E.

Yelp
High quality shopping with many famous brands stores. There are also other average stores, including inexpensive food court.
google avatar

Albert K.

Yelp
The shops at the Crocker Galleria are nothing special. They have very eccentric stores that are always empty whenever I walk by. They have a dentist, juice shop, luggage shop, jewelry shop, coffee shop, etc. The greatest thing about the Galleria is the farmers market. A lot of organic/fresh fruit/veggies are brought in and really fills the place up. The rooftop garden is also a great place to eat - the restaurants are mediocre. I typically go with the Indian spot - Jimmy John's is okay, but the rest of the venues are just mediocre. I do feel that the Galleria is a hidden gem in the city, especially with the rooftop terrace/garden. It's worth stopping by - I'm here daily!
google avatar

Jade D.

Yelp
I am really glad to have this place around. There are lots of restaurants to choose from and all of them are reasonably priced. If only those restaurants were significantly tastier. Also, there is a great farmer's market here every week that seems to bring out the freshest fruits and vegetables.
google avatar

Chanelle N.

Yelp
This is a chill spot. Not anything too exciting here. I come for only 2 things: farmer's market and a Chinese restaurant up top. However, they do allow rooftop access to the public which is really nice in the city. They have seating and flower boxes up there to make it comfortable. I brought my kids and my nephew here once, they really liked the rooftop. The farmer's market and rooftop is what pushes it from 3 stars to 4.
google avatar

Towanda S.

Yelp
I used to eat there at lunchtime on occasion. Long lines and seating was a pain. I stopped using this food court when a very rude security guard informed me that NO SERVICE ANIMALS were allowed other than "seeing eye dogs". completely against the law. If I hadn't been in a rush with family I would have done what I am supposed to do in those situations. Call the cops and report them.

Yelp
I love the concept of an outdoor-like, open-air mall. Crocker Galleria is a modern, shopping and dining center in a three-level glass pavilion. On one hand, the ambiance here is quite ritzy -- you get Ralph Lauren, Ralph Lauren Home, Versace and some high-end jewelry stores to choose from -- but on the other, it also caters to people who just need to run their errands or looking for a lunch place. From printing jobs to dry cleaning, dental appointments to picking up flowers, it's a great place to take care of personal business during the work week. The food court in the top-most level has pretty good options for most people. On Thursdays at 11am - 3pm, a farmer's market that features local California growers. From heirloom tomatoes to organic peaches, specialty cheese to freshly baked breads, you can find really good stuff here and if you're in the area, be sure to stop by.

Yelp
Great location, just happened to stumble across it. Very clean, nice selection of shoppes. Even better spot when it's raining out.

Yelp
This place is like a big cafeteria for grown-ups during weekdays at lunch time. Long lines outside eateries. Having to look around for a vacant table. Sometimes I bring my own lunch, a good book, and eat here. Beats eating lunch in the office. 4 stars for quick, cheap eats and public restrooms that don't smell funny. -1 star for the selection of stores. I also wonder if people actually shop here. The only store I've seen people in is Paperology (or whatever that card/gift store is called). I suggest they should just make this into one big cafeteria since CG seems to make more business this way.

Yelp
My office is half a block away from this place, so I often end up getting my quick lunches up on the third floor where the food court is. There's a lot to choose from: Pizza, Pasta, Middle-Eastern, Japanese, Chinese, Soup, Burgers, and even vegetarian Japanese "Zen" food @ the Medicine Eatstation (never been - I'm told it's good). There is lots of indoor seating to be had, but when it's warm or sunny outside check out the roof garden...good place to sit and eat with all these big buildings towering over you.

Yelp
When I can't think of a place to eat lunch or have just been daydreaming from the elevator to the time I step out of my building, Crocker quickly becomes the default lunch spot. Once I get to Crocker, I think, "Shit...why did I come here?" Crocker definitely does not offer a great variety of eateries. I usually end up getting Chinese from New Asia or a burrito from 360 Gourmet Burrito. The food court set-up is good for when you're with a few people and can't agree on a place to eat. You can all split up, buy food at your respective places, and then meet back at one of the many tables available. I love eating on the rooftop terrace. I sit out on warm days and it makes me feel human to escape my cubicle and see sunlight. On cold winter days, I go to the first floor and push an open chair right under a heating lamp. There's only 8 (I counted) heating lamps and when they're all taken, I get pissed. You can't just pull up a seat next to someone under his/her heating lamp because that's just awkward. Oh, and Crocker has stores that sell suitcases and paintings. I'm sure that the many business folks who come to Crocker for lunch conveniently pick up paintings before heading back to the office... Wtf. This cool-looking structure that they call a "mall" has so much potential to be a hot spot. It's too bad that Crocker doesn't offer a better group of stores.
