A great suprise for a rainy day or any day. We had to park down the street, though. Very 60' s plants , crystals & other assorted things. Book store & a full downstairs of heirlooms. Fresh bread & coffee finished off the day!

Their collection is pretty cool compared to other antique stores I’ve been to in other small towns. There are some new items made by local businesses on display which were a great addition in my view. I was surprised that a lot of items, especially some old cameras were in good working condition (still haven’t tested it with a roll so we’ll see). The garden right outside is a must visit since it’s very beautiful to hang out in on a good weather day! My only qualm is that a lot of items are overpriced for their quality and antiquity value, and some cashiers are quite intimidating.

Tired of getting clothes from name brand stores that lack any sense of character or originality. Unique clothing finds, fun home decor and vintage goods! Me and my SIL spent a whole afternoon in here and felt like it wasn’t enough time! Staff is so friendly and helpful!

Google

I've visited Crompton Collective whenever I've been to Worcester. Actually, I discovered this place when I went to Worcester Public Market. Even though I grew up in a different country, I could find many objects related to my childhood. Antiques or handmade objects, books, postcards, you can find unique gift ideas here. The building architecture, the book café inside, the Haberdash store selling clothes made from wonderful fabrics, and the fountain in the backyard make it a must-visit place in Worcester. After a lunch break at Worcester Public Market, you can grab your coffee and enjoy watching the birds drinking from the fountain in the courtyard. Conveniently located on Green Street, it's easily accessible by public transportation or by car. This place is a hidden gem in Worcester.

The Crompton Collective is the most quaint and eclectic little spot tucked away in the Canal district. The shop is filled from wall to wall with vintages, antiques, and handmade goods, and there's something for everyone. There's always something new to discover there!

Yelp
I'm glad to have found a 24-hour spot that accidentally open 24 hours and have the best deals hands down. And on they have multiple selections of quality weed for dirt cheap. Stop by and check it out.....

Yelp
This is a delightful place to spend a few hours. The variety of items they carry is huge a fascinating. Even if you don't buy anything, you'll definitely have fun looking around.

Yelp
So much fun to come and poke around all the shops within Crompton Collective!!! We always stop here when we're visiting the Kelly Square area, there's something for everyone here.

Yelp
This shop is downstairs from Seed to Stem. I don't know for sure but I'm guessing that it's curated by the same team. It has a similar lifestyle vibe. The crocheted shopping carts were really fun. There's a little bit of everything, some vintage, some new. A great place to poke around on a rainy afternoon.

Yelp
Could this store be any cuter??? Crompton Collective reminds me of the Fixer Upper show. I love coming here even if I'm not looking for anything specific (I somehow always walk out with something). This store just makes me happy. They have everything from antiques to handmade soaps. Everyone who works here is super friendly and knowledgable. The owner of Crompton Collective really knows the market and keeps their customers coming back. My most recent trip here resulted in me walking out with a golf club set with wooden clubs from the 1960's for my dad. I have also purchased handmade soaps (called monkey farts! and no... not real monkey farts!), lip balms, glassware, scrabble letters, baby clothes, and much more. I cannot wait to go back next time I'm in Massachusetts, so I could grab some unique Christmas gifts to bring back to NYC!

Yelp
Half looks a funky boutique and half looks like a cookie cutter cape cod store. It's weird to see both vintage and boho stuff mixed in with new beach house stuff, especially not being a beach town. My sister and I both left with $10 worth of stuff, but we wanted more funky stuff than we found, but because it's vendors hopefully it changes merchandise often.

Yelp
You HAVE to check this spot out! I've never seen so many beautiful, handcrafted, antique, innovative pieces in one place. They have everything from restored benches to tables, cabinets, dressers, shutters, chairs, decorative items, candles, sprays, fake flowers, etc. not only is everything here so innovative and beautiful and different, but the prices are unbeatable. We stopped in on a Saturday and got a gorgeous white entry bench and a liquor cabinet for $300 total. The people working there were so nice and held the items for us while we looked around. Loading large items into your car there is easy too as they have an area to back a truck into and they are willing to help you load large items in too. We can't wait to go back and see what else they have in a few months. We saw SO many creative beautiful furniture items we were in heaven!! A must see!

Yelp
In the eight years since I wrote my review on Crompton Collective, a lot has changed, including the neighborhood the store resides in. It's a little gentrified alcove of Worcester, having since advanced past a rough, hipster stage into a polished, hip phase that also means that the spirit of what had once been there is now lost. There aren't as many antiques and vintage items here as there once were, and instead there are a lot of newer products and crafts. That could be fine for certain people, but it's a different experience walking through there now.

Yelp
Outstanding collection of co-op vendors in a beautiful, historic space made even moreso by the unique and well-displayed antiques and vintage decor warming the entire ground floor. Plenty to peruse and purchase from a very wide variety of artists and makers who have created some truly one-of-a-kind pieces, many using reclaimed materials. Price ranges also vary to accommodate many budgets. If you love kitschy, chic, shabby fab junque and pieces of history made new again, get thee to the Crompton Collective. Then grab a famous Table Talk Pie from the factory across the street before hitting any of the nearby eateries for dinner. The Collective easily anchors a lovely afternoon in this area.

Yelp

Yelp
A must-visit in Worcester...great collaborative of small shops/vendors in one spot, very well curated selection. If you're looking for unique gifts or souvenirs, this is the perfect spot!

Yelp
This is a plethora of goodness. I am not sure how many booths in total are in this location but if i had to guess i would say 50. Great variety, the price generally are reasonable and something for every time of eclectic artsy and art collector. When there are events in the area it can be really hard to find parking. Likewise i want to say on the weekend not the best to find parking. We have gone twice in the last year and most of the stuff has turned over although there are a couple of booths that really look the same. I would say you could probably check in monthly for new items unless there is something that you are really after in which case bi-weekly would be good but feel like there isn't a need to come in any more frequently than that. Some vintage woman's clothing on sale in one location. The front end has a good mix of jewelry and watches along with other items in the cake. As for the other booths it varies so much that it's hard to pin down. There is stuff for making terrariums, probably 15% furniture be almost everything is pre-1980, this isn't a catch all location like a swap meet or flee market, there is a real elegance and class associated with this location.

Ken M.

Yelp
Parking busy and tight on street. Not very big and not enough variety to make a long trip there.

Yelp
I love this trendy antique meets new shop. There is definitely something for everyone here. I loved the artsy set up of some of the spaces and the local crafters offerings.

Yelp
Great store. Fun to look around. Very clean inside. We stopped in after eating at the Worcester Public Market. Took a while to get through it all.

Yelp
Super cute little shop, I actually went here for a calligraphy event called sip and script. We were able to browse around a little before the event, the collective contained anything from antique to modern featured looks. I definitely want to return to browse more and be able to update my review at another time.

Yelp
Very Cool place. From the look of the building to the actual contents inside, it's all intriguing! I went for the first time a couple months ago then again a few weeks ago. There was a lot of new inventory. There are different sellers which have their own little areas they decorate with a their items. Last time I went I found a mid century two tier table for $25. It's not any type of dusty old antiques store... There are a few sellers that have restored antique furniture - which I'm not really into but it looked nice. Bottom line check this place out, you might find something cool.

Yelp
This place is adorable! Looking for gifts? Check. Looking for decor? Check. Looking for bath and skin care products? Check. There's also a lot of vintage items alongside all of these goodies, which are available from a variety of vendors. Everywhere I turned, I found something new to look at that I didn't expect to be there. This is a great place to just look around aimlessly and spend an hour or two. There's tons of restaurants, bars, etc. in the area, so you could make a day of it. The store is located in the basement of the building. Unfortunately I didn't get to the store until about 30 minutes before closing, or I could've spent a lot more time there. I found three things to purchase as gifts and left wishing I had more time to pick out some decor.

Aimee L.

Yelp
Stopped in while visiting from out of town. We come from the "antique capital" in PA so the store was a little disappointing for us. Still, a decent variety depending on what you are looking for. Very few antiques. Mostly vintage and crafty pieces. Some new handmade items for sale like jewelry, crocheted animals, soaps, etc. A lot of upcycled furniture, not necessarily unique. Like most antique/vintage stores, it's divided up by vendor. As with most multi-vendor places, there's a fairly decent variation in pricing. Overall, however, I felt the majority of items were significantly overpriced. After seeing a couple of items priced about five times higher than what I've seen elsewhere, I just left the entire booth and moved on. It's as if the vendors don't realize how common the item is and how cheap you can get it elsewhere. The antique and vintage market has really fallen out in the past 5-10 years and items aren't worth anywhere close to what they used to be. Mostly because of the pricing, I was in and out of there in about 30 minutes which is very unusual for me in an Antique/vintage store of this size and I left empty-handed. The actual facility was cute and clean. Parking is problematic.

Yelp
Such a cute shop in Worcester. There's always something new and interesting to look at. Follow them on Instagram to see what they have to offer (along with hours and parking info). I've seen antiques, crafts from locals, vintage clothes, candles, baby stuff... etc. Prices range but just remember you are supporting a small business! Staff are always friendly and helpful. Parking can get tricky with the construction but they have a lot with shuttle service and street parking. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area!

Yelp
Cool hidden gem of a market. We spent a long time looking around and purchased a few unique things.

Yelp
What's not to love about the Crompton Collective? Anyone who enjoys antiques or nicknacks needs to stop here! They have lots of little classes and events as well. Great part of the Worcester community.
google avatar

Yelp
I found this place by happenstance and I'm so glad I did!!! I've found some of the best handmade and vintage pieces in this amazing cluster of shops. You will surely leave with something when you come here!!!! My favorite piece to date was a vintage peacock chair that I scored for a pretty amazing price!!!!

Yelp
At one time I loved this place until I actually met and conversed with the owner, Amy. I have been in retail for 20 years and I have never come across someone so rude and unprofessional in all my years. She needs to realize that customers are her livelihood and without them she has nothing. I guarantee that this business will fail as customers realize how disgusting her attitude is. She should employ herself behind a desk where interaction is minimal. If patronizing Crompton's helps Amy become successful with her awful attitude and disposition, I suggest you all avoid this place at all cost. She doesn't deserve success if she treats her paying customers so badly. If you don't believe me, try to communicate with her when you are there next. You'll quickly see what I mean. :)

Yelp
Great brunch bakery-café with lively scene on weekends, live music trio. Excellent toast with fancy toppings--blueberry lemon ricotta, etc. Nice loft space with lots of big tables.
google avatar

Yelp
I freaking love this place! My routine: Lunch at Birch tree Bread , coffee to go and roam around Crompton. Antiques, local crafts, oddities-just hard to explain. I guess its categorized as collectables. Cool stuff, man

Yelp
I'll be short, because that is how I typically live my visits to antique stores to be. I have been here a few times, with my wife when we are in Worcester getting food or when we had checkups pre-baby down the road. I will say for an antique shop Crompton keeps my attention, there is a good selection of things old and new. People sell home-made crafts and other things here as well. The selection appears to be great, and I can tell by my wifes grin everything must be good here.
google avatar

Yelp
Think Anthropologie, meets flea market, meets Pintrest; all in one large shop! So many treasures- old and new- also handcrafted, amazing jewelry and home decor. Stop in to the Collective and you will definitely leave with something fabulous. On my first trip I found a cool, amber jug and a pillow case with a cool vintage print. (I would have left with MUCH more, however I had the husband and four-year old in tow...)
google avatar

Yelp
Baby's first antique shoppe? It saddens me that such a chintzy Christmas Tree Shops knock-off like this is the near high mark of sophistication in my fair city. So rotten with etsy cloned 5-minute DIY crafts and poorly re-painted antique(?) furniture that when an interesting curiosity pops up in your peripherals it's like an oasis in the Sahara and the haze of gimmicky bad taste that surrounds it paints it a mere mirage. Only when an item is closely inspected can you breathe a sigh of relief, that is if it hasn't been stenciled with some mushy Hallmark card quote. There are some exceptions but Crompton's claim of being 'carefully curated' with a 'long waiting list of vendors' gives me little hope that the Crompton Collective will ever be worth a visit unless you like your interior decoration with a bit of yolo-like comedy.
google avatar

Kara S.

Yelp
Crompton Collective fulfilled all my vintage-Anthro-antiquing fantasies. Great selection of vintage and handmade goods from a variety of local vendors--this place was a blast to walk through and around every corner was something else I wanted to bring home. The furniture selection in particular was fantastic and I thought the mix of distressed woods, mid-century modern and industrial pieces was impressive. I love the large space and the thoughtful set-up, getting to see lots of different vendors without feeling completely claustrophobic. The centralized payment system (grab what you want and go to one counter to pay) made for quick checkout when you're buying from a bunch of vendors. The prices were SIGNIFICANTLY lower than what I usually see at places closer to home like SoWa in Boston's South End or the Davis Flea in Somerville, with much better inventory--

Yelp
Whether you're in need of antique furniture, a letterpress card, vintage duds, or maybe just a creepy doll head on a spring....you can be sure that Crompton will have your back during the gift giving season. It was brimming with intrigue from the very start since it's a large shop in one the ground level of an old Worcester mill building, but then pack in stalls for local vendors of all things vintage and artsy and you've got yourself a big'ole labyrinth of amazement and wonder! I come here when I need inspiration, or when I just "need something", or when I'm looking for a locally made trinket for my home or another's. HOWEVER.....whenever I come in here thinking, "oh....I just need a birthday card for so-and-so", I end up leaving with a stack of cards, snazzy sunglasses, a "Worcester" pennant flag, milk glass, and a new tote bag complete with snarky message. I love it - I LOVE IT ALL! So....you've been warned - proceed at your own risk! and enjoy all things weird and wonderous!

Yelp
What else is there to say, this place is unique, fun and a regular stop off on each Saturday. Make sure you go to the farmers market and get the country bread. It's local, it's good, and it'll make you feel like a trendy foodie. Plus, the actual store is the perfect place to stroll through with a fresh croissant. Visit, buy cool things like this chair.

Kristine R.

Yelp
Always such a fun weekend activity, and so close to home:). The collective is such an interesting place to poke around in even if you aren't looking for anything specific. Somehow I always seem to be carrying something on my way out Try it, you'll love it!
google avatar

Yelp
great mix of affordable vintage/antiques and cute handmade bags/jewelry. one of my favorite random stops of many during an east coast road trip. Not a ton of selection if you are looking for a huge antique mall, but well curated, with about 15-20 booths.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I traveled to Worcester from Springfield to find a place that had exactly what Crompton Collective offers. I spent my teenage years in Worcester, and I visit frequently, but I had no idea that Green Street was making such a come back! Both the Crompton Collective and Green Street on a whole was a very welcome, pleasant surprise. Crompton Collective is in the lower floor of an old mill building. The variety and quality of the goods on offer are impeccable, and mostly of the household ilk. Crompton Collective has a series of booths filled with all sorts of charming knick-knacks and vintage finds, and they're not outrageously priced. There's a smaller collection of vintage and unique clothing, shoes, and handbags as well as a few jewelry cases near the cashier. There's a large section for sports memorabilia which I was less interested in, but I'm sure it has an audience. The antiques, handcrafted goods, and generally interesting pieces strewn about make for an interesting walk through what is essentially a higher-end, more desirable flea market. The parking isn't too bad either. There's a lot on the other side of the building, but frankly, from Green St., I'm not too sure how to get there. (We visited Alexis Grace Consignment behind the mill - check that one out too!) We parked on the street, but there was a meter. The good news is that it accepts cards, not just your loose change! A previous reviewer mentioned it's a lot like walking through a real-life Pinterest/Etsy shop, and I couldn't agree more. WELL worth a visit if you're in the area!
google avatar

Jeremy G.

Yelp
Crompton Collective has struck the balance between trendy and timeless I am always looking for in a great antique shop. They have a good selection of vendors and are always growing and changing to add new vendors and improve the shop. Furniture hunters look no further, Crompton has a wide selection of pieces from distressed and painted to industrial and rustic. The selection is ever changing and I rarely see the same piece from one visit to the next (we stop by about once a month).
google avatar

cassie K.

Yelp
I've been a loyal customer of Haberdash Vintage for a couple of years, and it's wonderful to see how Amy Chase's one of a kind eye translates into a brick & mortar. Where many antique malls feel junky and dusty, Crompton Collective is well curated, clean, and refreshing. After my first visit, all I can think about are the treasures I left behind...the perfect black leather skirt, 70's butterfly caftan, a Chanel wallet! Of course, I didn't leave empty handed, taking home a vintage carpet bag, secretary blouse, and evening cape. This store is a goldmine, well worth the 45 minute trip from Boston. My friend found a stunning ball gown, for a fraction of what she'd pay in the city. I can't wait to return closer to the holidays for some Christmas shopping.

Yelp
Right from the start you walk into a quality joint. This is one of those small businesses that you know appreciate your business. When you walk in you are greeted with a smile and a hello. Then it hits you. Visually it is amazing everywhere you look. Every display is well thought out and full of quality items. This place is like a magazine, but in real life. Everything is priced affordably, and not crazy expensive like all those other stuffy antique shops. I found a few gems for my house and went to the counter to pay. The owner at the register was friendly and even offered some other places in the neighborhood I might like. I'll go back for sure.

Kathryn K.

Yelp
I used to love this place! Two years ago, you could go here and get awesome finds, small and large. From jewelry and cool plates to furniture and vintage signs. Now as part of the area's "update" it seems to have gotten cleaned up, and become a little too "cute". Sure, some interesting, small production makers of household items can be found. But the fun of searching the crammed nooks for hidden treasure is gone.

Arwen M.

Yelp
Cool taxidermy/trendy succulent/rock & mineral shop with some textiles, jewelry, candles, & scents upstairs. Much gentrification. So wipipo. Very hipster. Downstairs is stalls of hipster-curated antiques, supplemented by those damn painterly-cursive cards & signs with treacly/inspirational sayings designed to make you puke. Also baby clothes and scented soaps. Really takes away from the authenticity of the antique-shopping experience. If that's what you're looking for, go to a real flea market where the stalls are presided over by a grizzled 80-year-old man who glares at you the entire time to make sure you don't steal anything. Like in Providence or New Bedford. In closing, this is a place for real Beckies to shop for pre-curated antiques to decorate their tasteful upper-middle-class homes. Fuck gentrification. The old Worcester had character.
google avatar

Margot S.

Yelp
Disappointing customer service. Not only they have no return policy , they don't inform the customers about it. Some very rude employees there. While I used to be a customer they treated me with no respect when I wanted to change a necklace I had bought in their shop one week ago (!). No more shopping there.
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
Great place to spend a couple of hours out on a weekend, really interesting antique and vintage shops as well as a excellent eatery on the second floor that has artistan bread's sandwiches, and excellent coffee as well as a cold beer if that's what you're looking for. There is also a lot of handcrafted unique items from local crafters for sale, all really nice stuff
google avatar

Saki W.

Yelp
Amazing prices, but nothing compares to the flood of nostalgia. A great resource to find local vendors/makers. Looking for an awesome mid-century coffee table, might find it here. Need some inspiration? Maybe a chalkboard sign? Christmas present for the classic car loving dad! This is a stop for all folks in your life!

Michelle M.

Yelp
This is by far the coolest place in all of Worcester! A tad pricey but what you'd expect for the up and coming neighborhood
google avatar

Jenna V.

Yelp
I love coming to this place to poke around on a weekend afternoon! They have tons of unique pieces--I love the old mixed with the new crafts and items made by local vendors!

Kate H.

Yelp
Crompton has only been open a month and already it is one of my favorite places to shop. I always leave with wonderful items that make me smile to look at. One of my favorite things is that there are so many varied vendors in the store. If I need a gift for a friend, or something for my own house, I am sure to find it here at Crompton Collective. From handmade jewelry and adorable home decor to vintage clothes and antique furniture there are so many inspiring things to buy.
