The 31 Best London Coffee Shops With Wifi For Getting Work Done

"Cromwell Place Café is the most serene spot on this list. The cafe is inside an exhibition space in South Kensington, and there’s a strong chance that the sound of a classical jazz concert happening next door will drift into the room. Tap away underneath high, stuccoed ceilings while staring at a marble fireplace. Nab the big communal table if you’re with a group, or stick to the curved corner sofas if you plan on making (quiet) calls." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager, sinead cranna

Cromwell Place Café Review - South Kensington - London - The Infatuation

"Cromwell Place Café is a serene spot to get some work done. The cafe is inside an exhibition space and gallery in South Kensington, and there’s a strong chance that the sound of soft strings from the classical jazz concert happening next door will drift into the room and impress everyone on your Zoom call. This is a cut above your local coffee shop. You’ll tap away underneath high, stuccoed ceilings, the cutlery for your lunchtime potato galette is plucked from beside a marble fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling curtains add a homely touch. If home is a west London townhouse and you’re a minor royal. The food is hit and miss—we've had crumbly pastry that disintegrates, but also soft, flavourful meatballs—so this spot is best used as a sophisticated place for meetings (nab the communal table with sculptural, Scandi-style chairs) or some solo laptop time. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Sinéad Cranna

I gave full marks for the service and atmosphere because they are truly deserve it - just looking at the stunning window seat, perfect for reflection and enjoying the street view. The vibe is warm and inviting, and the staff serving our table was so stylish and friendly. It’s definitely a great spot for coffee and a light meal. However, I couldn’t give a full 5-star rating for its food - the lunch options are quite limited, and the pasta (both the crab meat one and vegan one) were a bit too salty. I usually enjoy plain pasta with truffle, but this was too salty for me to finish. They came with a quite generous size though. The coffee was decent and up to a reasonable standard.

We visited Cromwell House Café in Kensington over the weekend, and it was an absolute delight! The interior is stunning—elegant, with beautiful mirrors and warm, inviting tones. The cozy yellow seating added a lovely pop of color, creating the perfect ambiance for a relaxed coffee and cake experience. The coffee was rich and flavorful, and the cake was fresh and delicious—exactly what I needed for a weekend treat. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the visit even more enjoyable. This café is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique and aesthetic spot in London. Whether you’re catching up with friends or just treating yourself, Cromwell House Café delivers on every level. Can’t wait to come back!

LOVEEE the place food was exquisite 🩷 The only thing that ruined my mood was those asian girls with flashing cameras, I personally didnt want to be in their pictures, i wanted to call the staff but they were annoyed by there behaviour too. Other than that i would 10000% recommend 🩷🩷🩷 Lovely staff 💋💋

The atmosphere and service were excellent, however, the pasta was a bit disappointed and overpriced. I even had a shell cracked in my dish. Overall I think this place only for a coffee and chat, but not for lunch.

My friends and I had an amazing experience at Cromwell. We really love the Persimmon and Ricotta Cake. The atmosphere was lovely, and it’s very clean too (I’m a germaphobe). In respect of their no photography policy, we enjoyed it because we get to actually converse with each other and appreciate the cafe as it what it is rather coming here for just pictures. (Though I had to take a few pictures of the food cuz it’s so good). Rosie, the waitress, was so lovely and welcoming, very attentive as well. My phone was at 10% and thank god, the staff help me charged the phone for me. I recommend this place to any young adults who are looking for a relaxing place to hang out with friends. Will definitely come back!

Tucked inside an art gallery and a few mins walk away from South Kensington station, I went to this place to do some reading and try what they had on offer. I went for a simple dessert as I had lunch before coming, thus I opted for a light dessert of Panna cotta and rhubarb. It was silky smooth and very light. I then had the hibiscus tea to pair with it. Fragrant with a slight sweetness. Staff were friendly, polite and attentive. If you’re looking to come here with your devices to do some work, bear in mind they don’t allow the use of devices between lunch time hours. Thus, come after 3pm if you want to do some work
