"A detached, glass-walled house stands across from a park; ascend the stairs adjacent to the kitchen and you reach a dining room with a Scandinavian interior. The prix fixe menu begins with tea in season. The restaurant’s name refers to ‘friends who will drink tea together always’, referring to the circle of guests, staff and food producers. The chef’s aim is to serve food that is simple yet original. Both service and kitchen staff bring the food to your table." - Michelin Inspector

Crony - THANK YOU. On our last night in Tokyo, you gave us a dinner we’ll never forget. Rightfully deserved two-star Michelin restaurant, Crony was more than just an extraordinary meal. The staff, the service, it was a perfect illustration of all things. The 18-dish omakase was a stunning display of creativity in the kitchen. The dishes were a work of art, almost so pretty you didn’t want to ruin it by taking a bite. Highly recommend the wine pairing as well which worked in excellent harmony. I cannot say enough about how wonderful our meal was, all the way to the end as the last guests in the restaurant and the staff waiting outside until we were on our way in our taxi. Thank you for a meal we will never forget.

The dining experience at Crony was excellent. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, giving a comfortable and cozy feeling. It is a French restaurant but using local Japanese ingredients, and the food was very tasty. They are setting the high bar for fine dining and well-deserved the Michelin stars.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Crony in Tokyo with four of my friends from medical school, and it was an evening we will be talking about for years. Crony is more than a restaurant - it’s an intimate experience built on the concept of lifelong friendship, harmony, and sustainability. From the moment we were seated, the warm yet refined hospitality set the tone for a night of elegance and connection. The tasting menu was a masterclass in complexity and balance, stimulating every taste type - sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and umami - in thoughtful succession. The opening bite, a delicate tart crowned with translucent pearls and tiny blossoms, was as visually stunning as it was refreshing. From there, the dishes unfolded like chapters in a story: a truffle-laden creation with intoxicating aroma and depth, silky scallops with a luxurious sauce, and a perfectly cooked fish with crisp skin alongside fresh, vibrant greens. The wagyu course was pure indulgence: succulent, melt-in-your-mouth beef elevated by precise and harmonious accompaniments. Desserts were both playful and sophisticated, from the ethereal powdered creation to the intricate white chocolate sculpture casting delicate shadows, culminating in whimsical petits fours that felt like the perfect epilogue. Every detail from the impeccable plating to the warm, intuitive service - showcased Crony’s deep respect for ingredients and commitment to excellence. The entire experience was a sensory journey, complex yet perfectly balanced, and left us in awe from the first bite to the last. If you are in Tokyo and want a dining experience that lingers long after the meal is over, Crony is an absolute must.

JAN 2025 Visited here for dinner with a reservation. The course had 18 items which included a welcome tea drink, a number of small bites, freshly baked sourdough bread, main fish and meat dish, and finally desserts and petit fours. Most of the dishes were very tasty; I enjoyed the first half of the course more than the mains; and I liked how the menu shows the source of the ingredient for each dish. The course went for two hours, pacing was good and the staffs and chefs were friendly and hospitable.

This is the best fine dining experience my wife and I have had anywhere in the world! Every dish was amazing and complemented each other. The pacing of the service perfect, not too slow or too fast. The entire staff is very kind and accommodating!! Special shoutout to our waiters and the sommelier who really helped to amplify the experience!! We will definitely return the next time we are in Tokyo! Gochisōsamadeshita

Wow. If you’re going to splurge on one dinner while in Tokyo, this is the place to be! Crony is a 2-star Michelin restaurant that delivers and the food + creativity coming out of the kitchen shines through. My favorite standouts from the meal were the fried cream cheese ball (rich and creamy), cucumber scallops, sake bread and sake-less butter, and the wagyu. The wine recommendations (not pairing) were also spot on for the dishes. The attention to detail was beyond. Make a reservation about 1 month in advance to get a prime seating. The cost of the meal was almost $600 for the tasting menu and 3 drinks each for 2 people. Enjoy!

Crony in Tokyo is a culinary masterpiece that left our table in awe. From the moment the first dish arrived, it was clear that the chef and his team are true artists of the culinary world. The appetizers were a delightful introduction to the meal, each one a miniature work of art that delighted the senses. The flavors were expertly balanced, providing a symphony of tastes that danced on the palate. The mains were the true showstoppers, however. Each plate was a masterful display of the chef's prowess, with every element thoughtfully prepared and presented. The flavors were exquisite, revealing layer upon layer of complexity with each bite. And the desserts? Absolute perfection. The pastry team clearly puts as much care and attention into the sweet courses as the savory ones. The desserts were not only beautiful to behold, but also delivered an unforgettable taste experience. It is clear that the team at Crony in Tokyo is dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience. The attention to detail, the commitment to quality ingredients, and the creativity of the culinary team all combine to make this restaurant a true standout. I cannot recommend Crony highly enough. Whether you are a seasoned foodie or simply appreciate excellent cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. Brace yourself for an evening of culinary wonder.

We came here for our anniversary dinner and it didn't disappoint. This restaurant is probably the best restaurant we've ever been to worldwide. Starting from when we arrived, the staff were so gracious. We were taken to our seats quickly and the from there the food just started flowing. Each course was a piece of art and tasted phenomenal. Each bite was full of amazing flavours and you can tell that the chef is super passionate about his craft. My husband got to wine pairing and they were very generous with their pouring. The sommelier took the time to explain each drink and answered any questions that we had. This is the perfect place for a special celebration
