We stopped by Crooked Goat Brewing and were impressed by their variety of brews and flavors. We tried the Raspberry Ale and Blackberry Ale, both of which were fantastic—fruity, refreshing, and well-balanced. The huge outdoor patio is a big plus, offering a relaxed and spacious setting to enjoy the drinks. Service was quick. Overall, a great spot for craft beer lovers. Would definitely come again!

Hubby wanted to try the beers here and he enjoyed the choice. I would have liked the choice of maybe cider or wine but they only serve beer so I took one for the team! The staff were helpful in letting me choose the most palatable beer for me!

Google
Definitely the best place to drink beer in The Barlow. A Bee Beard or Birthday Suit is highly recommended. Love the concept of ordering beer here and getting food from the neighbor. Will definitely come back here if I pass by one day. Thanks for a great experience!

Google
Good beer, relaxed atmosphere. Easy to order food from nearby restaurants. Plenty of games to play while hanging out. It was a fun time.

The team here were kind and welcoming. There was a lot of a space for seating and the beers were delicious! I bought my favorite one and the cans are huge! I planned on waiting until I got home to SoCal to drink it but I had no self control. It was just too good. Now I’m sitting here wishing I had another 😩 Anyway, this place it awesome and a great spot for a beer with friends ❤️

Google
The sour beer was delicious, and the fries were good. 13.50 for frozen fries is a bit ridiculous, overall the food prices were very high but it could just be a Sebastopol thing. Spent $26 on fries and beer after tip. The atmosphere is nice, very spacious with a good sized “beer garden”

Google
Pretty brewery with nice staff. Beer is fine. Fruity styles were too sweet. Really liked the vanilla bean stout.

Crooked Goat Brewing is a brewery located in the Barlow outdoor market center. On the outside you'll see a large white building, that essentially looks like a shed, with black trim. The inside is spacious and open, with bar seating and long tables. There is a large, enclosed patio with additional seating. They specialize in West coast IPAs. The head brewer, llya Faibushevich, has brought more innovation to their selection. Every sip of the Magic Camp Hazy IPA was refreshing and delicious. This is a great date spot. Since they offer several events a month if you wish to extend the date. Such as, open mic night on the third Thursday of every month, live music on Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., love and beer speed dating for $40, trivia night on every other Tuesday and and bingo on every second and fourth Monday. Yelp
I love this brewery! I have been here a few times and I love the crowd. The staff is very friendly and hard working. I cannot wait to be back and try some more of their delicious beers!

Yelp
Great place to hang out and have a beer or three. Highly recommend the Bee Beard - super easy to drink and pairs great with any of the acre pizza. Service was quick and the outside is dog friendly.

Yelp
My husband, sister & I were in the area since we'd hadn't been here since my sister & I were children. We arrived around 2:30pm on Fri 1/10. We walked up to the counter and after sampling a few different beers, I decided on the Ugly Sweater Hazy IPA $8. We sat at a long high top inside, and enjoyed our beers. The place is quite open and large. It has a very industrial feel with lots of rollup doors. We'll have to come back and try some of the pizza from next door.

Yelp
We just came for beer so I can't speak to the food but the atmosphere was awesome. The place was huge with two bars, covered outdoor seating with picnic tables but also a fire pit area surrounded by couches and the the interior space on the back had couches and leather cubes to sit on- it was really cool and comfortable- the kids place you'd like to stay awhile and hang out. Our flights were good. I'm a darker beer fan and I didn't love the stout but the sour and a few fruited beers were light and drinkable. The bartender was fast and friendly and even sold us the last display sticker since they were blown out from their recent anniversary party. I'd love to visit again and try a few more beers!

Yelp
This is a great brewery with ample indoor and outdoor seating! I got the Tropic Thunder sour which was good. We also ordered food to-go from Sushi Kosho across the street, which used to be on the menu at Crooked Goat but isn't on it anymore (not sure why). Bartender was really kind. They have some card games available. Big parking lot and restrooms available. Nice place to hang out! Dog friendly.

Yelp
The best fruit beers in the county! I love their raspberry ale, blackberry and the rotation of options they provide. Whenever we have friends in town we like to take them here and it is always a win win. The outside area is nice and clean, the inside where you order is filled with many options for beers on top and you can take cans home that they can right there. Always a great place and the service is always good.

Yelp
Excellent beer. There's plenty or indoor seating, in a permanent tent, or outside. There's also games to enjoy your time. They don't serve food. You can order pizza from the area and have it delivered to your table.

Yelp
Been looking around for breweries in the Sonoma County area and I'm glad we came across this one. The ladies working there are very nice and informative. The ambiance of this place is very chill. We tried the first crush which is a raspberry ale and it was really good we had to take a pack to go. This is a brewery I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Do you ever just want to hang out, have some brews, good food and be comfortable? The vibes here are just that. I really enjoyed the large outdoor covered patio area. There are fire pits and and heat lamps on a rainy or cold day. Need tables? No problem. There are indoor and outdoor ones. There is also plenty of couch sitting areas too! Great beers- I'm a big fan of the blackberry one and if you want to take some home, they can it there! Awesome! There are merchandise available for purchase- take a shirt, hat or even a crowler home! Service is great! They do a speedy job of getting you your drinks and food orders and they come around at times to do small clean ups. I'd absolutely come back! Street parking, some lot parking but it can get full Ordering of food is at the bar, menu is located in the front/bar area but comes from other vendors. (Deep dish Pizza was delish) This place is dog friendly for all you dog lovers!! Leave your tab open if you'll be sticking around.

Yelp
Amicable service from the bartender. Cool vibe inside and plenty of outside seating with dog sightings. Merch for available for sale. The beer was good!

Yelp
A good place to hang out and have a good beer. They had the goth kids and it was not as sour as I like, but for sure fruity and refreshing. I appreciate the community that you can feel. They don't have food of their own, but all the restaurants around are great and they will be very happy if you order food and eat there. Of course I will be back, this is one of our favorite brewery.

Yelp
Horrific service! Not a smile in their arsenal. Staff looks like they hate their jobs. Ordered from 3 diferent people and didn't expect a comedy show but I don't want to tip people that seem like you're a bother and put across a horrific vibe. Very unfortunate being the live music is great and beer is good. I'm one opinion but the staff vibe is nothing short of depressing. I'm not hard to please or a critical Karen. If I wanted to experience sadness I would stay home and watch the news.

Yelp
5 out of 5 because I've never had a bad time. Beers is always good. Atmosphere especially during spring and summer is awesome. Indoor, outdoor seating. And did I mention the beer is always good?

Yelp
Another great brewery in the area. We had the dog and walked up to the bar. There is a huge selection of beer to choose from. The place was pretty busy when we were there. There are tables inside and outside to sit and relax. We chose a nice table outside. We ordered a flight to try multiple beers. I really enjoy sours so tried a few of those.
google avatar

Imelda R.

Yelp
Lots of on-tap choices and flights incredible to try. Friendly service and always so helpful. Very open and spacious place to chill. Love the plaza energy!

Yelp
Food is very fresh and yummy. Lots of options. Service is good. Great place to eat in Petaluma!

Yelp
This place was awesome!! Bomb beers, bomb ambiance & music, BOMBBB pizza. Def would wanna come back here if I'm ever around the area.

Yelp
Beer Karma - and "Goat Crooks" The beer is consistently quite good. I would go back next time I visit Sebastopol. What is not consistent at this brewery - is an honest pour. If a customer asks for a pint and pays full price for it, that means what they've got coming is 16 liquid ounces as promised in the transaction. About half of the pours at the Goat are as the name implies ~ "crooked". A 16 ounce glass with about an inch of head (foam), means you got shorted...15 ounces for the price of 16. I kinda don't think it would be acceptable to the server if $6 was paid instead of $7....the customer would hear about it and not get served. :( But are staff as open to or even aware of the notion of fairness in the deal? I'm not going to jump to any conclusions. The staff are friendly enough, but probably are in the camp that if you pour you set the rules. Customer should be happy with what they get - non negotiable. If I get 16 ounces I tip with a smile. and a thank you. A short pour I still smile and say thank you, but no tip and no snark. Everyone having a good time is still worth the effort. I encourage kindness, fairness and fun - everyone is rewarded accordingly. PS Being served a chilly 15 ounces of Goatbrew is still a recipe for a good time. Keep on smilin' :) Easy Peacey

Yelp
Perfect place to come for some beer! It is a very casual setting with indoor and outdoor seating. It gets pretty packed sometimes and it is first come first serve on the seating. They have live music so make sure to check out their website! I tried most of the beers on the flight menu and I enjoyed all of them (especially the IPAs). Its $2 per glass on the flights or $7 for a 16 oz. They dont have their own food but luckily theres plenty of food options to pick from and they have a cool system where you can order the food through the brewery! The fries were super overpriced so i dont really recommend them but the pizza was worth it! I will definitely be coming back again. I appreciate all the staff for acting professional and having their shit together even though it was extremely packed!

Yelp
We came on a Tuesday afternoon shortly after they opened. Only a couple other people (which is totally fine with us) but we can see how this place could get packed on the weekend. Super nice set up and good beers. We had a couple, sat outside in the nice outdoor seating with our dogs. We brought pizza from another place and ate it there - I see one reviewer claiming an employee told him he couldn't bring food from outside but that's not remotely true. We asked before hand if we could bring food and they said no problem. Beer was excellent. We'll be back.

Yelp
Thinking about coming here? Check the Absolutely Yes box and get your butt in for beer! You won't regret it. We are from Livermore, but we came to Sebastopol to return a keg at Seismic. Because Crooked Goat opened at 11:30, and we were a little early for Seismic, we decided we would give it a try and boy we are glad we did! We both tasted six different beers, and so many of them were absolutely amazing. It's rare that I love so many beers at the same place, but this place is totally my jam! Lots of unique flavors, and it works! The staff was also super friendly and helpful! Kind of sad we live so far because this would be a go-to for Friday night beers if we lived in the area! That being said, we'll be back any time we're nearby!

Yelp
Pretty sad to have to report this so low since I had high hopes. Decided to come with another couple as we were having a couples vacation in the area. Looked forward to sampling the brews and getting some food. As soon as we walked in, the bartender snapped "only cash, no food". There were no signs anywhere listing why or even saying that there wasn't food or cards accepted. My husband asked if there was an ATM close by, bartender ignored him and walked away. Wasn't loud in there so pretty sure he heard us. We approached again and asked and he snapped "nope" and just walked away again. We tried to ask additionally why there was no food available today. Didn't get an answer, so we used the bathroom and went to Golden State Cider instead. Pretty turned off by the insanely rude service.

Yelp
Amazing brewery in Sebastopol! Multiple diverse food options from local restaurants. They have rotating beers on tap and growlers to take home. You can't find their beers anywhere else AND they're dog and family friendly too. Shoutout to Andre!

Yelp
Saturday 740pm 12/2/23. You're worker was coughing like a 6 year old in grade school spreading the flu... or even worse COVID... A co worker even mentioned it to her about coughing on him... In front of me... I'm second from the right in a red hat... IF YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE SICK.. DON'T LET THEM BEHIND THE BAR... OR COUGH IN FRONT OF ME 8 TIMES....

Rachel Q.

Yelp
2 stars for the ambiance/location/aesthetic and decent beer. 0 stars for interactions with the staff. We came here on 2 separate occasions with 2 completely different staff and I've never been met with such rude service before. First time we walked in on a gloomy, rainy day. Not too busy so we sat at the bar. The man who approached us just said hi and stared at us until we said what we wanted and never approached again. Second time we walked in was a bit busy and the waitress again just stared at us with no expression until we ordered, just took the card without saying a word. It felt As if they're annoyed customers are asking for product. Literally the weirdest, worst interpersonal interactions I've ever experienced at a brewery before and very off putting..

Yelp
My absolute FAVORITE hangout place in Sebastopol and Petaluma, hands down. Love the vibe, love the Grain & Blood brew, and love the delicious food choices from nearby.

Yelp
We hosted our wedding welcome party in Crooked Goat's lounge and everything was great. Sasha, their event coordinator, was very responsive and helpful throughout the process. We had our own dedicated bartender who was super helpful and friendly as well. We hosted about 30 people and the space was perfect. We coordinated separately with Acre Pizza for pizza delivery - super convenient to be able to bring in your own food and there are so many choices in this area. Everyone commented on how great the space was and the beer was great too. We would recommend to others planning to host an event!

Yelp
Beer bar hopping, this brewery is mainly ales, ipas, strong beer (for me), they have a great selection and tried most of them. Great experience, great/friendly staff. Stays open until a little later than the others. This place was packed until closing.

Yelp
Friendly staff great beer. Very cozy indoor and outdoor. Restrooms were up to my standards.

Yelp
This is my favourite go to at the Barlow whenever I am down there for a beverage. I just went last night again for the Peacetown concert series every Wednesday. Their brews are always fresh and my friends that were with me also enjoy their IPA's. I am not a fan of IPA but I enjoy the Kolsh and the Bee Beard are my go to's. They also get restaurant foods delivered now from the various restaurants in the Barlow. Acre Pizza and Blue Ridge Kitchen. I will review them separately. The service is always good here as well as bellying up to the bar. When they first opened they had bagels but not any longer since Covid changed life in the restaurant business. I recommend this place to just have a nice beer and enjoy the atmosphere here. Cheers!

Yelp
Really good beer. Excellent seating inside but outside is the best. Tons of seating. All kinds of food options. Nicest bathrooms of any brewery I've ever been to.
google avatar

Sharon H.

Yelp
Awesome place to hang out and try some beers. They have ample shaded picnic tables out front. Currently indoor area is closed off, but bathrooms are available. Dog friendly! My husband really enjoyed his beer. The neat thing about this place is you can order food that is made by the neighboring restaurants (menu may differ per time/day based on which restaurants are open).
google avatar

Sha G.

Yelp
Great beer and now I will only drink glitter beer. I enjoyed the outdoor space, fun staff, and live music. I also loved their special beer menu to support the Sage Casey Foundation.

Yelp
Legitimate beer!! Delicious choices and if so desired you can sample all the beers. It's located in an open air mall type spot called the Barlow. Parking is ok but tight. The brewery is a large open area with plenty of seating. The outside area is under a tent and huge! One side has an area for seating that is couch like, the other side are benches. In the middle is a stage. They advertise live music . Free WiFi is offered and I saw loads of people on their laptops working (?), lol. I'll work virtually from a brewery. The food service they advert was not being offered due to some technical issue, but, no worries. You can bring your own food in. The pineapple DIPA, other world, a few fruit flavored ales were also yummy. A honey, berry and mango ale, three separate flavors. Worth the stop. Come here. Mmmm cheers.

Yelp
I had an open tab here and went to get pizza. I came back and ordered another beer. I was sitting down outside drinking my beer that I bought from here and this lady who works here grabbed it out of my hand, poured it on me, and physically assaulted me. They took my pizza too. All because my boyfriend brought pizza and a drink from somewhere else, and the bartender told me I could not take my drink I purchased at crooked goat outside - so we were asking what to do because I still needed to close my tab. She took my beer, pizza, and physically assaulted me my pushing and shoving me. Do not come here.

Emily W.

Yelp
Great beer selection! I sat outside and listened to live music while playing a card game with friends, so fun. The staff is always so friendly and helpful as well.
google avatar

Yelp
I am a fruity, wheat beer lover who came here with IPA lovers and we all enjoyed this brewery! They had a wide selection, lots of outdoor seating, board games, and good vibes! My favorite was their First Crush, Raspberry Ale! Very tasty and goes down easy. You can try anything as a taster which is nice too, for only like $2. Highly recommend a visit.
google avatar

Kimberly P.

Yelp
Currently my favorite brewery in Sonoma County! The beer is delicious! They do an amazing job capturing all the wonderful features of a classic IPA and Pilsner but also are able to create delicious fruity beers such as First Crush Raspberry, Bramble Blackberry Ale, and my current favorite Pink Swear Pomegranate Vanilla Wheat. They do an amazing job at adjusting with the season and are currently offering a Pumpkin Spice Ale! Yum! They have also done an amazing job of quickly pivoting safety precautions due to the pandemic. They created a large outdoor seating area, use servers to take orders, and provide hand sanitizer. A food order is required, but the options are all delicious. The food comes from local neighboring businesses, a sandwich from The Farmers Wife is a must and the Detroit style pizza from Acre is a fan favorite. Highly recommend checking out the crooked goat! Cheers. + They are dog friendly

Yelp
Kid friendly! Changing table in the bathroom! I had a sweet beer that started with an F. I forgot the name. Good.

Yelp
Crooked Goat is part of the sprawling complex in Sebastopol that also houses restaurants, bars, boutiques, and a grocery store at the far end. They have expanded their outdoor seating - but if you have hay allergies, you may have issues as there are stacks of hay bales. I found them comfortable but my daughter was getting a bit asthmatic. There are non-hay options however. Great service and while they don't serve food, you are welcome to order from any of the neighboring eating establishments. They also serve some bomb ass locally-made bagged popcorn. I think it was around $3 or so? I got the coconut curry one - highly recommend. Some of the standouts for me were the Bramble, blackberry ale which provided just the right amount of fruitiness and the tangerine dream, light with a hint of citrus. Both are 16 oz and both cost $6. Casual vibe with locals and visitors alike. Really liked this spot and can't wait to return!
google avatar

Raymond L.

Yelp
The beer selection here is excellent and they even ship to home. That said, it should probably be consumed somewhat quickly. We've had a couple explode in the past and assumed they were flukes. Another had blown tonight and one more looks like it's on the way. There's dried beer along the bottom of the rim so I have no idea how long it has been going on for, but the can still has pressure

Yelp
This brewery reigns number 1 in town. The service is always fantastic. The remolded outside is so superbly done, you'll never be cold.
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
Best crafts this side of the Mississippi: must try the first crush raspberry, and the rivaka hazy. Live music in the summer. Order food from all the local Barlow eateries. There's only amazing to say about crooked goat, it's the locals choice.
google avatar

Yvette M.

Yelp
Our first brewery visit of the day and it was well worth it. We arrived at 11:30 am on a Tuesday and pretty much all of Barlow was like a ghost town. We were hungry as well and happy to see that this spot was open. Inside seating as well as a patio seating available. Great vibe either way. Food and drink menus are located on the tables. Order at the bar and try 3 oz pours for $2. The food is delivered from the surrounding restaurants. We were a little hesitant to order food this way, but we were starving, so we thought we'd give it a try. My husband being a fan of stouts and not being a fan of IPA's, chose Bee Beard, Ten-Four, Bramble, and Silver Lining. I also tried First Crush. He fell in love with Silver Lining, a Vanilla Bean Stout. So much so that we purchased a crowler, 32 oz for $12. Purchase 3 growlers for $33. We ordered the pork Banh Mi Sandwich along with the Carne Asada Torta. The food arrived fairly fast and both sandwiches were delicious. Overall. if you're an IPA lover this may be the spot for you. We would have loved to have a better selection of dark beers. The only reason for the 4 star rating. I do have to mention that service was outstanding.
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
Good brew, very light and refreshing taste. Bar only but good for the Barlow.
google avatar

Ricky R.

Yelp
This place was cool. I dont know how often they swap out beers, but we split a small flight and I grabbed the ipa. And everything was really nice. The IPA I had was one of my absolute favorite ipas I had while in California. It was cralled grain and blood it was a blood orange DIPA. It was so nice! The whole area this brewery is in was really cool, but we came early sunday so most things were not quite open. I would recommend this place, but the music was a touch too loud honestly.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
The hours are super weak, but it's good. Nice outdoor spot, but I wish they were open later than 10 on a Thursday. This is a college area, and it's always odd to me when businesses close so early.
google avatar

Jin K.

Yelp
Great service and friendly staff! Tried a few samples before landing on the perfect beer to take Togo!

Yelp
Good beer. Great atmosphere. Would be a good spot for a private party like a work party or a shower.
