I’ve been a fan of CrossBucks since day one they opened! Yes the BBQ is delicious here if thats the answer you’re looking for. Of course there are so many choices and opinions of BBQ places in the DFW, but you will never find more passionate, friendlier, and hardworking guys than the owners Tim and Damian! They’re always smiling and adding flavor and variety to BBQ world! My new favorite is this Brisket Baked Potato! Excellent Mac and definitely get a few links of the sausage with a kick! If you need real drinks they got those covered as well! They are also excellent at throwing large party events as my fitness studio recently had a great event here! Get in here and prepare to be happy and full!

Tried this place on a whim. It was really really good. I know there is lots of BBQ places here in town but this was excellent. Their coleslaw is outstanding! But the meat was awesome! Pork with Hoisen sauce( not normal but excellent!). Sausage, Brisket and burnt ends—- all great. Just come here

The meat was moist, flavorful and amazing! The sides… highly recommend the Mac n cheese. Can’t wait to come back! Oh, the rolls are so fresh too.

I was visiting from Pennsylvania and had a private corporate event at Crossbuck BBQ. The food was excellent. Exactly what I was hoping for in terms of Texas BBQ and wow those empanadas! But, my favorite part of the experience was the chef/owner Damian Avila. He couldn’t do enough to ensure we were satisfied and cared for. He went way above what I would ever consider “normal”. I’m thankful for meeting him and looking forward to forward to my next trip to the Dallas area! Thanks Chef!

If you are looking for some amazing and innovative bbq, I highly recommend going here. We loved everything we had and enjoyed the creativity with the recipes! The brisket was so moist and tender, melted in my mouth! The sausage was so flavorful and they are constantly coming up with new recipes such as Al Pastor and a cheesy hot Cheetos recipe! The turkey breast was so juicy and not a speck of dryness! One of my favorite things were the brisket burnt ends. They were incredible. Loved how they mix a sweet rub with Shiner to create this masterpiece! My other favorite was the pulled pork! This had an Asian flare to it to create a spicy and sweet recipe! We had so many sides such as the Mac n cheese that every member could have probably drank! I really loved the creamy hominy too which you don’t find at many places! And let me suggest a frozen margarita to complement your amazing meal! It was so good! We cannot wait to come back and you should make sure to go!

1.mac and cheese- very watery but cheesy flavor is good. 2/5 2.baked beans- a bit salty and not as sweet as other bbq spots almost like a smoked ranch style cook/flavor. 3/5 3.brisket- not too tough but overcooked, 3/5 4.sausage - best so far, good grind on the insides, a crunchy casing and tender inside with a ton of flavor, 5/5 5. Roasted Potatoes - odd flavor for bbq pairing jut didn't seem to fit 2/5 6.burnt ends- Large chunks and over cooked. Some parts were tough. 2/5 Sauces Sweet 5/5 Spicy 5/5

I’ve driven by crossbuck barbecue multiple times and decided to stop in for a late lunch today. There is only one other patron when I arrived, you walk up and order your food, very casual. They have a variety of meat options as well as sides. They also had beer options. Interior is rustic with some hand painted logos throughout. There is ample seating inside, and a patio outside. Even though it was a tad chilly I enjoyed lunch on the patio. The prices were a bit high in my opinion, but you are served an ample amount of food. I opted to have the brisket and turkey, vegetables, which included squash and broccoli, and the black-eyed peas, since it was New Year’s Day. The brisket and turkey had a really nice smoky flavor. The turkey was moist but the brisket was a tad dry. Black Eyed Peas had a really nice flavor. Food was also served with a roll. They had a sweet and spicy barbecue options, I tried the spicy, had a nice flavor and kick. There were pickles, and a type of relish, that really was tasty. It was an overall good experience, I would definitely come back to give them another try. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Over this past 4th of July weekend, I hosted a large baby shower at Crossbuck BBQ and my experience was amazing!! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. I worked alongside Beth, Tim and Damien through catering, party planning details and set up. They gave top notch service and were eager to help with all of my questions! We had over 60 people on the patio and it was a great party! So thankful to have been able to host at such a great venue with great barbecue!!! Thank you, Beth and Tim for allowing us to celebrate at Crossbuck!

Yelp
We went in for lunch, right around noon and the place was empty. If this was a movie, that would have been foreshadowing. The servers were nice, the restaurant was clean, and the Macaroni and cheese was creamy...I didn't say good, but it was creamy. Thats the only good thing I have to say. The brisket was dry and salty with no smoke flavor. The sausage was just ok. And my bread was hard, and not intentionally. My friend didn't like her coleslaw concoction, which she stated tasted a little old. We both left food on our plates and took nothing with us. **Update I responded to the business owner, who left the message below, once I received the message on 4/7/2024. Thank you. **

Yelp
Friendly, tasty, down home Texas country bbq place. Love the chill TX themed interior and they play good country music. Service is at the counter which is great - definitely my preference. No need for waiters. Friendly frontline team. They need to advertise more to local businesses so they can get more folks in there for happy hour / dinner! It was maybe 30% occupied when I was there on a Wednesday after work. They had $3 margaritas.... Not sure if that is every day or just Wednesdays. The food was so good I ate it all before I got a pic, so took pics of the interior instead.

Yelp
Clean. Friendly. + Rolls were light and fluffy, Mac and cheese was delightful, pork ribs were good, pit master vegetables were good. - the brisket was mostly fat, the burnt ends were dry and over cooked, I wish the ribs came naked and then you could add as much sauce as you want.

Yelp
I sort of stumbled on this place after a long day of errands and BBQ sounded like a nice treat. They close early on Monday and Tuesday, and I got there an hour before they they shut down at 3pm and the place wasn't very busy at all. The place is a pretty common bbq layout with a counter on one side, room for a line out of the way, and a large dining room. If you've been to bbq place you likely know what to expect. I went sort of an untraditional route for myself and ended up ordering a daily special which was Beef Rib tacos (~$19 for 2 tacos with 2 sides). The tacos overall were pretty great, being heavy on the meat to the point there wasn't too much else competing with it, though that is what you want when going to a bbq place honestly. If it were a regular menu item I'd likely order it again even though they are a bit pricier than I like to go for tacos. I have a hard time comparing this to other BBQ places I've been as I normally tend to judge them by their brisket and sausage and I didn't order either. I thought the beef rib meat was good and they aren't generally my favorite option so that bodes well. I'd go back to try my usual staples if I was in the area for sure. Pretty good first impression for a competitive category.

Yelp
I was honestly surprised! I've lost hope for most bbq places but this place surprised me. I loved the taste! Staff were very sweet! The place was also very nice, it wasn't super busy but they had good music. I really did enjoy the brisket, it was so soft and tender! MAC N CHEESE WAS AMAZING! Both, the one with jalapeños was Great! They were both EXACTLY how Macaroni and cheese should taste! Honestly can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Stopped by here and the food was good. The food was hot and ready to go. The best thing was the pork ribs and the $3 margaritas all day, everyday. The roasted potatoes were good as well.

John F.

Yelp
Wowza! Great place. I haven't had a beef rib in years as it's been the STL style pork ribs. The beef rib was outstanding! Perfectly prepared as a medium/medium rare it was tasty, plentiful and delicious. The pork rib was also perfectly BBQ'd too with a slightly sweet sauce. Sides were also good. Mac N' Cheese was good as was the hominy. The atmosphere is super. Very clean. Spacious and a fun outdoor activity area too. This would a great happy hour place to try next visit. The Chef's are fantastic. They practice their craft and are really great to speak too also. Best wishes for super success!!!

Yelp
What happens when a Cordon Bleu-trained chef from the Midwest learns BBQ from a Pit Master in Austin and then settles in a Dallas suburb? Crossbuck BBQ in Farmers Branch! Chef-Pit Master Tim McLaughlin has teamed up with Chef-Pit Master Damian Avila to bring the Metroplex a unique combination of flavors to their smokers that is a refreshing change from the ordinary. While the classic smoke flavor is evident, it doesn't take long to see that these Pit Masters don't limit themselves to the conventional Central-Texas style. This is best seen upon the first look at the pork ribs. The St. Louis-style rib is covered in a dry rub and then a sweet and tangy sauce that tastes like a cross of Memphis and Carolina. They are firm and meaty and complex in flavor. The Sliced Brisket, on the other-hand, is unmistakably in the Central Texas tradition. Slow Smoked in their custom-built smokers with a thick bark of semi-sweet seasonings, then sliced to order to satisfy any Texan. However, letting their Midwestern roots show through, they will serve the Brisket with one of their two house-made sauces. Another very unique fusion of flavors is the Black Molasses Pulled Pork. It's most like Carolina BBQ - but it's not Carolina BBQ! It's sweet yet tangy, with an Asian flare. Especially for Texans, it's probably a little strong to eat alone - but that's where the Crossbuck Homemade Rolls come in! The staff is happy to make any of your choices into a sandwich, and the Pulled Pork makes a great sandwich, maybe topped with a little Slaw and an Iced Cold Beer!? As if three meats weren't enough in one visit, I also had their Smoked Sausage. Unlike many who have Jalapeno added to the mix, Crossbuck instead adds Poblano Peppers. The result is dryer, sweeter sausage that's not at all greasy. (My mind is thinking about dicing this up with some of their Smoked and Roasted Potatoes for quite a fine hash! - I think I'm ordering some to take home next time.) Then there's the "Brisket Candy" Burnt Ends (Yes, I'm still talking about the meats - and I didn't try them all!) Starting with the traditional fatty layer of the Brisket, it's diced and mixed in a sugary spice rub along with some Shiner Bock and then back to the smoker. The prevailing flavor is sweet, but the savory beefiness of the brisket. The sides are also a bit of a departure from the Central Texan traditional sliced bread and dry slaw. It's hard for me to pick a favorite among the White Cheddar Mac n Cheese, Smoked & Roasted Potatoes, Miso Honey Slaw and the Cotija Cheese Hominy - and those are just my favorites! If you want suggestions on pairings, I'd go with Pulled Pork and Slaw, Brisket with the Mac n Cheese, Sausage with Potatoes and Burnt Ends with Hominy. If all of that isn't enough to convince you to give Crossbuck a try, they also serve Breakfast Tacos on Sunday mornings!

John C.

Yelp
Second visit was as good as the first. Brought 3 Others with me and they agreed. Love the ribs with sauce, very tender again. Brisket and Turkey were both juicy and Smokey. The roll is incredible! I add the turkey and brisket to make a delicious sandwich. The Mac and cheese was spicy and very cheesy!! Made all of us sweat, but in a good way. Very friendly staff!! Very clean inside with lots of TV's and good music. Hidden gem as wasn't very crowded again!

Yelp
10 out of 10 out of 10 lol. Food was amazing. BURNT ENDS ‍ Customer service was also great. Try the Mac n cheese to

Yelp
Unfortunately, unlike the majority of reviews, I was not a fan. My partner and I order brisket, ribs, sausage, and chicken. For sides we had double Mac and potatoes. The meat had been sitting out which I could definitely taste in the temperature and tenderness. The meat was dried out except the chicken which needed to be cooked longer. The bbq sauce was underwhelming and the potatoes were severely under seasoned. The Mac was the best thing and I have no complaints. I think it's a cool addition for the area but not a destination spot.

Gary B.

Yelp
I'm still on the fence about this place. They are reasonably priced and the food is good. I'd stick with the proteins though and skip the sides (proteins are where the taste value comes from). The ribs were good, I'd prefer them dry and will ask for them next time that way. Service was great, person I assume is the owner came and checked on every table which I thought was really nice. The restaurant was very clean, not sure though I understand the "theme" or decoration style. Overall I'd say give it a try.

Yelp
I enjoyed my experience at Crossbuck BBQ. The service was friendly and very quick. I enjoyed the condiment station for pickles and sauces, and I liked that there were sinks outside the restroom to quickly wash your hands. For the food, I had their brisket, ribs, turkey, hominy, and roasted potatoes. I liked the rolls that were included (I do not like generic sliced white bread) with our meals. - The brisket was under-seasoned for my taste; I think a touch more salt would be great for my liking. - The ribs by far were my favorite compared to other DFW BBQ joints. I appreciate that they were fall off the bone but also had good snap. I also appreciate that the ribs were not sweet like many of the other BBQ places. I will ask for sauce next time on the side (nothing wrong with the sauce I just like less of it). - The turkey was flavorful and tasty. - The hominy was delicious and roasted potatoes were well cooked. Their hominy is a sleeper for BBQ sides and is definitely worth trying. Overall this BBQ restaurant is doing great things. I would come back to try the remainder of their menu. Solid A

Yelp
Let me start by saying I grade BBQ tough, but fair. This is Texas, after all, so our standards and expectations are high when it comes to BBQ. I'd give Crossbuck a 3.5 if I could do half stars, but I'm rounding up because I see potential. The brisket was average, but I also only got a 1/4lb, so hard to judge completely fairly. I'll update after I go back. The winner for me was the candied burnt ends. It is a unique flavor with a sweetness to it, but good smoke flavor at its heart. The brisket beans are solid as well, but could use a bit more of the brisket flavor to really make them pop. The potatoes under performed and came in very flat with minimal taste, even for a potato. The service was outstanding. Very friendly as you'd expect from a Texas BBQ place. We were greeted and had the menu explained very clearly, as it is a little different from your usual BBQ place. But don't worry, you can still just get meat by weight and gorge on that if you prefer to keep it simple. We were checked on 3 times over lunch to see if we needed anything else AND to have freshly baked cookies delivered to the table as a nice surprise. Very clean and simple inside with seating very good for groups. The outside was nicely setup as well. Pricing was a very fair value. As things get rolling, I expect them to refine their craft and make some adjustments to up their game. They stay true to Texas BBQ while also being creative, thus I'm rounding them up to 4 stars. Oh, no sweet tea. That needs to be rectified ASAP.

Marisa H.

Yelp
Delicious barbecue! It wasn't busy on a Friday evening and the service was very quick. The staff was friendly. Their sides are very creative and unique. The ribs and mac and cheese were our favorite, but I would skip the slaw next time. I'll be back for the mac and cheese and to try the burnt ends!

Jay W.

Yelp
Dang it Nuss! How did I miss this place? Just wandering around looking for a lunch and happened upon this place on a cloudy Wednesday. Brisket is VERY good. Hot Mac and cheese is as advertised. If you are just wanting a little creamy Mac with heat, here it is. The bread is light and has a great little crust on it. Not just a bbq roll you get other places. They put some effort into this. Mixed veggies, my nod to eating right, had a nice little blend of seasoning on it and cooked just enough. Not hot, just tasty. I showed up at 11:30 and it was mostly empty. By 12:15, things were picking up but no line. Lunch ended up about $27 with a drink and tip. Coming back for the ribs.

Rich S.

Yelp
I went about 7:30 pm during the week and almost left as there was only one other set of people in the place. I one here it can't be good right? Wrong! Brisket, you can ask for lean, marbled or mixed. It has a great bark and tasty. O really enjoyed the burnt ends as well. The potato salad was good. The service was good and friendly. Price I thought was great for the quality. The beans were okay a little but a bit salty and I am a saltaholic. BBQ sauce was not great but you don't need it. I would give it 4.5 stars but only option. I can do is 5 or 4

Yelp
Doors are open. Grills are firin. Smoker gettin smokey. Crossbuck BBQ brings the BBQ 2 U. Located in the heart of Farmers Branch, this lil operation is the powerhouse of the community. I got the brisket plate that comes with two sides of your choice. Y'all do not sleep on the Mac!! Veggies were cooked to perfection and had a nice cronch to it. Brisket was tender and moist can't go wrong with that. Great food and amazing people is all you really need in life am I right? Come on over ride your horse on over and try the cheesy mac. Will leave you cheezin from ear to ear!

Amy S.

Yelp
I have used Crossbuck for catering (for a large group) numerous times over the past few months. The food was delivered, along with utensils, warmers, etc., on time and clearly freshly prepared because it was still hot enough to serve without the warmers. Not only does Crossbuck do an amazing job with their main dishes, the sides are incredible too- the meals were enjoyed by everyone and with no leftovers! I have already recommended them to a few other organizations looking for caterers. I will definitely use Crossbuck again in the future! Great job!

Julio G.

Yelp
Great place!! Excellent service and very convenient to go with your dog You can see and choose the place you want to order

Pio D.

Yelp
Simply the best BBQ ever. We come here often. The ribs are amazing, the brisket out of this world, chicken and turkey, outstanding. Jesus the manager is attentive and Tim the owner is always helpful.

Michael H.

Yelp
In from out of state and in need of some TX BBQ - we found this place on Yelp (it was the closest to our AirBnB) -- SO glad we did! We ordered take out and, frankly, were glad to have done so as when we showed up the place was absolutely PACKED (which we took to be a great sign). SUPER happy: ends, brisket, ribs, sausage, and pulled pork - all were great. Potatoes and vegetables - also great. Everyone was super friendly and helpful when we showed up. All-in-all: the perfect Yelp dinner experience!!!

Tamra W.

Yelp
I have been impatiently waiting for Crossbuck to open and let me assure you - the food was worth the wait! I stopped by this afternoon and ordered a 1/4 smoked prime rib plate which included two sides. I ordered the hominy and started to order the beans but changed my mind and ordered the mac and cheese instead. The staff had started to fill a container and I apologized for the waste and they said they would send it home with me as a sample. At that point, I decided to enjoy my food on their patio and added a beer. When I went to pay for my meal, it was packaged to go and I went into shock when I paid the bill. Including tip and my beer was $34.94. I was charged for the beans that were sent home as a sample but noted that the bowl was filled so I don't mind paying for a full ration. Good food, wonderful staff but it was expensive for a 1/4 serving of meat that was sent home with me in a styrofoam container.

Joey R.

Yelp
This is a great little gem! The service was super friendly, the food was solid! The spicy Mac and Cheese was a little too much, however the ribs and the brisket were wonderful. They serve $3 frozen margaritas everyday! They have a little outdoor setting, big screens to watch the games. Overall solid place. We got 2 plates (came with 2 sides and 1/2 of 2 meats that you want) with 2 drinks for $50 after tip.

Carlos G.

Yelp
I had heard a lot of really good things about crossbuck barbecue. So last minute on a Sunday we decided to pop in there for a quick bite and we were not disappointed. We ordered the short ribs. They were delicious and moist and fell off the bone. The brisket was good, but maybe a little dry. But the fatty ends were really delicious. The one that surprised us was the turkey. It was moist and really tasty. And for the sides, we tried the mac & cheese and the potato salad. But our favorites ended up being the baked beans, and surprisingly the hominy, which was recommended by one of the workers there. Would totally go back again.

L Minton R.

Yelp
Food and decor good. Cleanliness and friendliness great. Great to have a non chain barbecue to eat at.

Connie H.

Yelp
This place is probably one of the closest bbq joints to home so I REALLY wanted to like it. The patio is especially cute (and all decked out in fall decor) so all the more reasons to want to like it. I came in on a weekday afternoon so we nearly had the place to ourselves. The person serving us up gave us a quick overview of the menu since it was our first time there. Standard bbq fare. I ordered brisket with potato and mac and cheese. Partner ordered I forgot what protein and the same sides. The sides were a hit. Potatoes were nicely seasoned and Mac and cheese were cheesy in all the right ways. Polished those off rather quick. The protein that should be the stars of the meal, left something to be desired...moisture. They were dry and flavorless. The bbq sauce couldn't even save them. As for the service, they were average. We came in with a baby and after ordering our food and drinks, we realized we didn't have enough hands to juggle all of it in one trip so we ended up having to break it up in two or three trips, while taking turns watching the baby. After we were done eating, one of the workers walked out to wipe a table and then went back in. We happened to had finished our food right before then. We brought in the trays ourselves. Given how quiet it was, I thought maybe they could've offered some assistance. I don't believe I was entitled to assistance, but assistance would've brought their rating higher than average and compensated for the dry meat. As for parking, convenient parking lot adjacent.

Guy V.

Yelp
I was let down with the food served here. I ordered half a pound of fatty brisket last night. While the bark was on point, the rest of the brisket felt like I was chewing on undercooked meat that was somehow dried out at the same time. I think a big factor is that the meat was cut WAY earlier in the day and sat for too long. The amount of fat on the brisket was too much, so much so that I can insinuate that it was also not trimmed properly either. I do comp. barbecue so my bar is high. That said, at $30/lb, I expected better. Buddy got the pork ribs and he left half uneaten. I asked why, and he said... "they're trying too hard". I can only guess that means the spices were too much. I did not like the sides that I got. Miso honey slaw was a bit bland. I wish I had also read that the potatoes had curry in them as well. Sadness. An extra star was given for friendly service and cleanliness of the joint. Great patio area and it's next to one of my fav. breweries. Love that FB has a new place to eat at, but it's just not up to snuff for this guy. ---- In response to the owner's comment: if the brisket was cut on demand then I'm even more disappointed in it.

Rheba K.

Yelp
I just love friendly and helpful people in the service industry... and everywhere. Delicious barbecue. They have interesting side dishes which is what drew me in. Pulled pork is great but a little sweet. Brisket was perfectly done and the turkey was epic! I will be back! Only giving four stars because the food is overpriced even considering inflation. Just because you can charge crazy prices doesn't mean you should.

Daryl C.

Yelp
We thought some things were really good here. Excellent smoke in the brisket. The bbq sauce was amazing. The chicken we had was tasty, but a bit overcooked. May be the freshest salad I've had eating out. The brisket wasn't that juicy, fall-apart, dreamy brisket for us. It tasted great, but the texture was a touch poached? Or steamed? We just may have not had the best pieces in our pick-up order. We will come back to this place. I'll update the review after we sit in and dine. I recommend giving them a try!!

J R.

Yelp
We hired Crossbuck BBQ Addison to cater a high school football homecoming celebration on 9/22/03 for 60 people. Ordered food about 2 weeks in advance with help from catering manager. Everything went exactly as requested! Food was delivered on time, with correct quantities. Delivery crew set up everything as needed, left extra ice just in case. The food was delicious and there was very little left. Pricing fit our budget and we have no complaints. Thank you Crossbuck!!!

Richard B.

Yelp
The place has a great atmosphere and vibe. Unfortunately most of the items I got were mediocre at best. The bread was super soft. The pork ribs were tasty! The brisket was a little too "loose fatty" for my liking. There has to be a way to make the fat more palatable to the average person. And as far as the sides are concerned... hard pass. The Mac and cheese is laughable at best. I literally witnessed them pouring a bunch of milk on a fresh batch of it as I was waiting to order. Looks like they used that Kraft "cheese sauce pack" instead of actual cheese. For the price point you guys have to do better and "bring it" on signature sides. Half of the potatoes in the chunky potato salad were hard. Just buy the potato salad please? Your house blend isn't going to cut it at a signature BBQ joint.

Dayna G.

Yelp
Amazing BBQ! Delicious sides. Very clean! Nicest staff! Generous portions. Outrageous tasting BBQ sauce. Loved the silver trays. Nice clientele. Epic smells. Pretty set up with the beers chilling in front of where you order.

Tracey S.

Yelp
Food and service were amazing, the sausage was very flavorful, the brisket tender and juicy ribs amazing. Rice and veggies also seasoned and good taste.

Brenda S.

Yelp
To start off with service as we said it was our first time, I was told we were served by the daughter of the owner (can't get fired so i guess why would I care right?) didn't explain the serving sizes to my mom, brisket was cold and dry, sausage same problem. Buns were dry and cold, margarita extremely sweet so as the horchata like drinking frozen syrup. Mac and cheese was the only the only decent thing. Very disappointed, never again.

Adam A.

Yelp
Had lunch here today. Excellent brisket and pork rib. Also liked the miso coleslaw and jalapeño Mac and Cheese.

Yelp
First time here. Versatile menu with excellent side options. The meat was tender and fell of my st Loius style ribs and the burnt ends basically a desert meat. The miso ginger slaw was very unique and tasty. The manager introduced himself and was helpful. Will be back!

Yelp
Great BBQ. Highly the brisket and burnt ends. If you like full flavor, their rub and texture on their beef is great!

Yelp
Very good BBQ. They take the ordinary and Jazz it all up with flavor. I'll be back.

Yelp
My take-out order today consisted of a medium order of St. Louis style ribs and a pre-prepared so called "Yard Master" Salad. The salad although it did contain pieces of tomato and onion was about the size of a Wendy's side salad from pre-pandemic days and they gave me a selection of either vinaigrette or ranch dressing....not what I was expecting for the five dollar up charge. Although the ribs were meaty , they are St. Louis style which means they are short but meaty ribs. However buyer beware: the St. Louis style is also spicy so you get very spicy ribs already lathered in their spicy sauce. Upon paying for my purchase , The cashier pointed to a cup as if to ask me if I wanted a beverage with my meal... no English from this lady; The food prep person had to translate the order to her into Spanish and then upon providing me with my $1.72 of change , the food prep person had to actually count the change to the cashier who then gave me the change. Yes Cross Buck you do have a language problem on the front end ; I suggest that you deal with it! Perhaps a little training on the front end would be in order here. Perhaps Saturday afternoons are not y'all's thing.

Yelp
Been here multiple since my first time and service rocks. I must have caught them on an off day initially. Great food and great service. Have brought friends and fam here and everyone agrees.

Yelp
Chef-owned spot with great attention to gluten free safety. Lots of options. Generous portions. So glad to have this gem just north of LBJ.

Yelp
Place is legit. I wanted to take the wife to cattleack but the line was too long so tried this place out. Beans have ridiculous flavor, solid white Mac& cheese, unique flavoring on the burnt ends and a TON of food. We're both taking home doggy boxes. It's a little bit different flavors than normal but I really appreciate that. Hopefully more folks try it and review them bc their Yelp rating doesn't represent their food quality. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Really good BBQ that won't let you down. The brisket was a little fatty but that Mac and cheese really hit the spot.

Yelp
First, I love bbq. Have been to 12 of the current top 20 tx monthly list. Live in Farmers Branch, and was very excited about the opening. I gave Crossbuck a 4 based upon hope. (It was really a 3.5) My first experience this week was disappointing. Review - first bite of Brisket had the taste I was looking for. Moist, well seasoned, taste of happiness. Downhill after that. I believe it was because the meat was pre-cut. So, by my second bite, the meat was starting to dry. (Also was not a choice for moist or regular cut.) (Felt like I was at a big chain bbq restaurant. NOT DOWN HOME.) The sausage was good, by not overwhelming. I did not get there until after 1 pm. Maybe better earlier??? If the owners move away from how there are serving, think it could be a winner.

Yelp
Great service by the owner, Franz, and his staff. All the meats were super tender with amazing flavor. Seasoned perfectly. Side dishes were very tasty as well. Especially the hominy. His two bbq sauces he makes are perfect compliments. And the pickled veggies and jalapeño condiment bar is great!! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I picked up lunch from here one day and ordered it online, which is through Toast and there is a $0.99 fee for this. I got the Big Boy Plate $31.99 which comes with 2 meat options, 2 sides, 1 roll and both of their sauces. I chose Brisket and Pork Ribs (5 ribs) for the meats and Baked Beans and Mac n Cheese for the sides. The ribs come dunked in a sauce, not sure if it is the same as their regular sauce or not but they needed them. I personally like the meat to speak for itself without sauce but these ribs were a little tough and would have been dry without it. Same goes for the brisket, a little tough and I ended up making a sandwich out of the roll, pickles, sauce and brisket. There was a good amount of brisket provided, online it says over 1 LB of meat for the plate. They give 2 different kinds of sauces, one normal and one mustard base. I thought both were good even though I am not big on sauce. I appreciate that they make their own rolls instead of just giving plain white bread. The sides were both okay, I liked the beans better since they were savory instead of sweet and had noticeable chunks of brisket in it. The mac n cheese was very creamy but a little bland. Overall, it was okay, I will have to go back and try some other meats like the beef rib and sausage to get the whole picture.
