Top Restaurants and Bars to Catch Live Music in Bux-Mont | Eater Philly

"Housed in Dublin, the Boiler Room by Crossing Vineyards showcases blues and jazz music with as many notes as the award-winning wines. Stop in on a Friday or Saturday evening to be entranced by local artists. There is no kitchen on-site, so hungry folks are encouraged to bring their own food to savor with the Pennsylvania wines." - Sam Herring

My husband and I did a wine tasting last week for his birthday and it was such a great experience! The woman that did the tasting was so pleasant and did a wonderful job. The winery was beautiful both inside and out. We enjoyed the variety of wines and purchased a few bottles to take home. Would definitely visit again!

I went with a group for my friend's birthday and it was really nice! the wine was all really nice and the food, while limited, was very good! One of the workers/owners (I'm not exactly sure who he was) overhead that we were celebrating a birthday and he brought my friend out a free glass of wine! it was super sweet!

I went to Crossing Winery for the first time last week with my fiancee and 2 of our friends. We had the BEST time. We attended one of their Summer Wine & Music events. The wine is fantastic. The winery is beautiful in an idyllic setting. We brought one of the bottles we purchased to a dinner party; people asked where we got the wine from because it was so unique and delicious. One of the highlights was meeting Tom, the owner, who is truly a gem. Such a kind, warm, and welcoming person. Come for the wine, but stay for the Tom! :)

I would like to first thank the owner Tom for being so nice and friendly. He gave us a tour of the winery for a wedding. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Every employee that we encountered was very pleasant and friendly. We did some wine tasting found two whites that we really liked. They had a singer playing the guitar, which was great. Really enjoyed the day. Can’t wait to go back and try some more wines. Highly recommend!!!

Had the best time today with my girl friends just catching up with some glasses of wine. Everyone was very friendly and even offered us extra glasses of wine. The owner Tom gave us advice on life that we very much needed. It was such a good experience! 🩷🩷

I did not have their wine, but had their charcutier board. The board was presented nice, almonds were staled and I was literally ill within to hours of eating their. I don't think there place was sanitary!

Just had a Team Building event hosted at Crossing Vineyards and Winery. It was a superb experience! The whole team of almost 70 people loved it! Tom is the best host and event organizer and a great story-teller! Scavenger Hunt event was top class, competition was fierce :) Thank you so much!!!

Google
It’s not the best winery I’ve ever been to, but it’s the best one I’ve been to in Bucks County. The tasting was good, the presenter was knowledgeable. They took some shortcuts with some winemaking, but whatever not everything is a winner. However, I don’t understand why they charged me $17 a glass for sparkling wine when a bottle is $25.

Yelp
I brought a big group of 20 people to Crossing one afternoon as part of a destination wedding weekend, and we all had a lovely time. Its very pretty, the food is a little pricey for what it is but very tasty, and there are a lot of fun spaces to choose from to spend time. The wine is fine - just know it's not CA or OR.

Yelp
Crossing Vineyards is my new favorite place in the area! I went on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was packed. There are several rooms with typical tables, as well as some comfy leather chairs, and they also have a bar. I would highly recommend the rose wine, which was nice and dry, as well as the charcuterie board. The bar has two TVs, which is nice for sports during the season. The live music was also a great addition. I can't wait to come back during warmer weather and check out the outdoor seating!

Yelp
Awesome winery, lots of room for visitors inside and outside. Contactless ordering available. Tasting were reasonably priced. Great views . Will be back again

Yelp
Stopped in for a wine tasting on 5/19. Beautiful day and beautiful vineyard so we were excited to relax with a bottle of wine. Our experience was soured however by the girl who waited on us at the front tasting bar. She was clearly not happy to be there and when we asked her questions about the wines she seemed irritated and we were lucky to get a snarky one word answer out of her. When we asked about the upcoming wine festival that the vineyard was promoting in a poster she literally ignored us! We've been to a ton of wineries over the years and have never had an experience like this one. Such a bummer- it put a damper on our wine tasting before we even had a sip of wine! Just a suggestion, maybe put a more pleasant human up front to greet your guests.

Yelp
We had a fantastic time at this winery for not even having reservations on a Friday afternoon. The lady who have us our wine tasting was amazing and I wish I remember her name so I can give her a shout out but has waay to much wine lol. We also ordered the cheese plate which was really good. The cheese paired perfectly with some of the wines. I really loved how nobody else was there and we had the whole place to ourselves but they did tell us they had a concert that evening. Overall I highly recommend this winery if you're ever in the area.

Yelp
Full disclosure - I had a better experience here than my companions did, especially when it came to the food. But they're not writing this review, so here we are with a solid, positive rating. I came here for a few hours early Saturday afternoon right when Crossing Vineyards opened (we literally might have been their first customers) for a bit of wine and a bite to eat. I'd been here once before several years ago in the winter for a tasting, but it was a pretty brief visit that honestly didn't leave much of an impression either way. And I think anyone who goes to wineries fairly regularly would tell you that it's a VERY different vibe going in the winter versus summer, especially if you have the opportunity (as we did this time around) to take advantage of the outdoor seating. Interestingly, we went through several different interior areas in the winery before emerging outside into their patio section, and each of those areas had their own unique environment. There was a room that seemed kind of bougie/Sunday brunch, and another that was more cozy with a ski lodge influence. Nice touch. The service here was excellent across the board. We were immediately greeted by a woman at the entrance who provided us with several options (essentially a guided tasting versus a DIY experience; we chose the latter) and told us if we wished to order food to just scan the barcode at the table and it would be brought out to us (I have a friend who is an older Millennial but is pretty much 90 years old in every other way who yowled about not having a physical menu, but again - not writing this review and probably wouldn't know how to do it online anyway) . It was very easy to use, and everything came out promptly. I wasn't looking to booze hardcore and it was pretty toasty out, so I opted for a wine slushee-esque drink that was on the sweeter side and pretty peachy. Very pleasant and hit the spot. I was a big fan of the BBQ chicken flatbread, which I'd had my eye on for several days prior to this excursion. I'm unfortunately learning that decent food, or any food really, isn't an automatic at a winery, so I tend to give a lot of credit for a legit accompanying menu. The flatbread was filling, but also on the lighter side so it was perfect for what I was looking for that day. We also got a charcuterie board to split, which was okay, but as you can see from the accompanying picture, it was light on the meats. I don't claim to be a charcuterie expert, but I feel like you want a pretty solid equilibrium between the meat and the cheese, but the cheese options vastly outnumbered the one or two slices of meat on the board. It was fine for what it was though. I'd also mention that upon request, we were able to get some free water during our meal, which (like the food) isn't a guarantee. So right there, you're checking off a few intangible boxes. The price point for everything was pretty reasonable. It can go either way in this area, as you're in a rural enough section of the Delaware Valley that items can be pretty cheap, but you're also a stone's throw from the tourist trap one-two punch of Lambertville and New Hope. I think I ended up paying about $30 or $35 for the flatbread entrée and wine, which isn't egregious in my book. I'd have no objection to coming back here, especially since I missed out on sampling most of the wine options.

Yelp
Would not recommend this place for concerts if you are looking for an adult experience. For the popular bands they let in upwards of 700 people. The dance floor or the property is not big enough to accommodate that kind of a crowd. Price of a ticket $25 is not worth the experience. For less attended concerts all bets are off. Children are permitted to dance all night on the dance floor while the band is trying to entertain the crowd. Very distracting.

Yelp
This is a yellow phase pandemic review - just to preface. I was so happy they were doing events! Yes masks were required, yes social distancing happened. On to the good part - the tasting! I went here with two friends on a Thursday night for a charcuterie and wine pairing. Apparently they have many similar events, all on Thursdays. I believe the cost was 30 and we tasted 10 wines and each got our own individual charcuterie. The host of the night was so unbelievable sweet and provided a lot of great information about the wines. They have a bar and an outside eating area (which is where everyone escaped to post tasting). The winery is so beautiful and very large and spacious. The staff was so nice and their bottle prices and glass prices are also reasonable. I will definitely be back to do more events!

Genna K.

Yelp
I asked for the tasting options when I first walked in. I was presented with 3 flight options. I chose the white that didn't sound sweet. She filled 4 glasses and said enjoy. I had to carry it myself to my desired table. I went outside and tried opening the umbrella myself. No one tried to help me and it was difficult. I started tasting the wine. Yes, I chose the unguided so I didn't need to know about each one. However, this tasted like sugar water. Honestly, one wine was worse than the next. I was very disappointed. Also the fact that they make non handicap people park much farther away and not let them through a gated entrance is absurd.

Yelp
The Crossing Vineyards & Winery delivered (on customer service) like Dominos! I thought-it's a beautiful weekend-why not take the drive to this winery! Staff were friendly and warm upon entering the establishment! We were asked if we wanted to have a tasting and it appeared we arrived 45 minutes before the next tasting! We were given a brief tour and informed where to go for the tasting! We decided to hang out at the bar to have some beer before the wine (why not..lol)! The bar featured 'Naked Brewing' a local PA craft beer! I went for the flight--The Pomegranate Wheat & IPA was theBEST!That got us warmed up and ready for the wine tasting! There was a large group and of about 6 tables with about 6 people at each table! This is where we explain why the review doesn't get 5-stars! Although staff were friendly..The tasting was rushed and the wines weren't that great? I wish it weren't true..but it was an overall consensus from us amateur wine tasters at our table! Aesthetically Crossing is a beautiful location and the staff are wonderful...but you are selling wine-wish it were better!

Yelp
Came for a 7pm wine tasting. We were informed we should arrive at 645p which we did. It is now 705pm and not half of guests have arrived. We have been here many times before for other tastings. The price is $35/ each for 10 wine tastes, cheeses and charcuterie. Water is brought to our table. Cheese platters were served one for each of us. Grace will be our sommelier.cautions about tasting wine and food together then separately. We have had two pours the pours are stingy. A pic is attached. There was hardly enough wine to barely get two sips. There were no cleansing jugs but with the tiny pours it likely would have been superfluous. Notable was the Heritage red blend with the truffle Gouda pairing. It was perfect. The final three pours were fruity including apple, wild berry and chocolate cherry truffle. An ok evening. We will not return for this type of event. Mark & Nancy.

Yelp
The wine was good and the space is adorable but compared to other local wineries it was quite pricy. They were also out of almost all of their food and snack items, which was not ideal for a wine tasting. We still had a wonderful time and enjoyed the wines and fabulous live music.

Yelp
Stopped by for a Sunday lunch before heading to Philly. As you walk through the property, you are greeted by a wonderfully maintained landscape with Lush foliage and blooming flowers. Inside you'll a reception area staffed helping guide you through the experience. Asking for a group, tasting or to have a glass We entered the tasting room and decided to have bottle for us both. We had a Riesling which was good but a little pricey. The winery is decorated and setup nicely. We ordered food through their app and received within 20 minutes. This is where my rating goes downward. I was expecting a decent chicken sandwich but was left disappointed. I had a similar sandwich at a drive that was half the price. It left me with a figurative bad taste. Not sure why this place is so over priced? The wine was good but have had better wines at lower cost elsewhere. I am not saying you shouldn't go but maybe think otherwise for the cost.

Yelp
I had a fabulous time at Crossing. I felt super safe as well. The wines were extremely delicious and worth every penny. The tasting was also very informative! Tom, the owner, stopped by and had a mini conversation with us and it was all very pleasant and welcoming. Perfect day overall. I would definitely recommend this winery to my friends.

Yelp
Another winery we tried while visiting New Hope. Beautiful grounds and we met the owner which was nice. The best wines were the Vintner's Select white and red. Of all the wineries I have visited this was way over priced. For the two of us it was $36 for pre selected wine flights which were 4 - 2 oz servings each. We didn't pay that much for tastings in Napa Valley. Needless to say, we do not plan on returning. Try for yourself....you may like it. Three stars for the beautiful view nothing more.

Yelp
For a Bucks County vineyard, Crossing Vineyards is as good as it gets in terms of beautiful scenery, comfortable surroundings and quality of wines available for tasting and purchase. It reminds of the wineries in Napa and Sonoma with small acreage producing some of the best vintages. It is easy to relax , sample the wares and at least for a few moments be transported to the left coast. This hacienda has been in the family for two generations, and the colonial home they live in looks the same as it did 200+ years ago (with better plumbing, electricity and fresh paint). Take a free tour of the grounds and production facilities, followed by a sit down on the patio in good weather to sip their award winning reds, whites and blushes. The most engaging choice is the dark rouge and somewhat sweet and dusky Chocolate Cherry Truffle. The Viognier white, Cabernet and Merlot also merit consideration. While head on comparisons with California wines may not grade out well in every instance, they are competitive, and save the time and treasure of traveling west. Sometimes a pleasant afternoon is all you need to get away. If you enjoy Crossing Vineyards it can be just the start of a magical mystery tour of the other Bucks County wineries that can make for a great weekend.

Yelp
My wife and I love this place. We've been hear for music and tastings. We buy bottles often. They rotate through different beers at the bar for those who don't drink wine. The staff is very accommodating. We met Tom the owner and he was very nice and thanked us for our patronage. We have tried many of their cheese boards. You can sit outside overlooking the vineyard or sit inside at the bar or in a comfortable club chair. The tastings are done in the bottling area amongst the vats and barrels. We have been here with friends for tastings and on Sunday afternoons just to have some wine and cheese. They are open for individual wine/beer during the Corona insanity.

Yelp
I've checked out a lot of the bucks county wineries and this is one of my favorites, mostly because they have both indoor and outdoor space. A lot of the smaller local wineries only really have outdoor space to sit, but Crossing has indoor which is good in the cold or rain, etc. They have a nice variety of sweet and dry wines, as well as small plates of food to enjoy while you're there. Unlike some other local wineries, Crossing is NOT a BYOFood. Their dishes are a little pricey but not too bad. I will say though, on the many occasions I've ordered their cheese platter, what you get and the amount you get greatly varies. I think my favorite of their wines is the chocolate cherry truffle. It's AHMAZING. They have live music on weekends in the summer and their outdoor patio is nice to sit out on.

Yelp
Meh. I should have known to turn around when the staff ignored us when we came in and hung around the lobby uncomfortably. That may be harsh but for the price they charge for a little plastic cup of wine I'd expect far better service. The place is nice enough. Very clean. We sat as far away as possible as there was a wedding shower or something going on upstairs and we didn't really want to hear it. Instead, about 5 minutes after we sat down a small group of snotties sat at a nearby table and loudly told stories about all their properties in whichever states and their fancy cars and blah, blah, blah. Even the people at the table next to us rolled their eyes, choked down their overpriced plastic cup of wine and left. And considering the hostess said nothing it was clear we wouldn't be able to enjoy our overpriced plastic cup of wine so we took off too.

Yelp
Best Winery Hands Down in the Area! Number one it is close to us and number two their wine is actually delicious !! We love the chambourcin. We come here to hangout outside or for events. We came for Mother's Day and the tasting was very well organized ! Thank you to the staff who was courteous and welcoming !

Yelp
Tonight was my first experience at Crossing Vineyards and Winery. I attended the Chocolate and Wine pairings event with a friend. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves. Grace, our presenter, was friendly, engaging, and has a thorough knowledge of the wines and chocolates selected for the event. It was well paced, giving my friend and I time to catch up as well as enjoy the experience. The grounds were gorgeous and there were lots of places to sit with friends and enjoy the vines and nature. After the event, my friend and I wandered into the fully-stocked bar where we met the lovely bartender, Denise. We sat discussing the different wines available that we had not yet tasted and learned of other Pennsylvania brewed and distilled beverages on hand. I would highly recommend coming to one of their many and diverse events, booking a special party, or making a date night with your special someone.

Yelp
Great winery, so close to home. I winced at the $15 tasting price which is definitely more expensive than others in the area. But since we were the only ones, I was offered anything I wanted to try. A glass of wine was $8 and I enjoyed it on the gorgeous patio which made me forget the price. The patio faces the vines and connects to a really cool indoor area with another bar. Overall, a great choice for a day of wine tasting.

Lana D.

Yelp
I really enjoyed our wine tasting here. They had a nice variety of wines and the hostess was knowledgeable and offered mixed cocktail suggestions to make at home. Wine came with a bag of purple (healthy) chips and salsa. They have a pretty big outdoor tent to accommodate large groups of people, and even though it was cold outside we were warm in the tent. Tables were set up far apart to comply with pandemic social distancing rules and everyone wore face masks before being seated.

Yelp
Beautiful vineyard and really great wine! Alyssa was thoughtful and personable, we really enjoyed getting to know her! Will definitely be coming back :) thank you Alyssa!

Yelp
We had the most lovely wine-tasting with Grace for our anniversary on July 15th! All the Covid precautions were observed and we had a fabulous time! Grace was so informative and provided a really fun afternoon. We got several bottles, a glass of wine each and some Merch to remember Crossing Vineyards. We shall be back next time we visit!

Yelp
I have a soft spot in my heart for local wineries, hence I'm rounding this up to 4 just slightly. Before you come, look for a deal as other reviewers rightly stated, these can save you almost half the going rate for tastings, of which there are several options. Weekends are not the best choices, but if you must reserve your spot online to avoid waiting around. We purchased a premium tasting with cheese, the stated cost was $25 pp, but groupon brought it down to less than $15. With 12+ wines included, and supposedly paired with 5 cheeses, this is the way non lactose intolerant patrons should go. Wine should almost always go with food. The cheeses included were decent, but I was a little disappointed that the better cheeses they sell were not on the platter. On this busy weekend day there were several parties of people included in our tasting reservation, so it seems that walk ins were being added to registered tastings. What made the situation confusing was that the various tastings were combined, so some people had a simple tasting, some case club members could taste anything, and the premium tasting with cheese had it's own set of wines. There was one server addressing and pouring for each of our various groups. Not a very organized system at all. But I don't blame the employee who was very nice and eager to answer questions, she just kept getting pulled from group to group, and most of her time was spent with the folks doing the most simple tasting. A quick note about the wines: 1) median cost was $20. 2) Very interesting Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, both unlike any that I've ever tasted. 3) Their port style with chocolate and cherry flavor is pretty good. 4) I preferred the whites over the reds, but was not a fan of either Chardonnay. 5) I think this winery has real potential, and will check back in future years. As others noted it is a very scenic location, and I can think of many worse things than spending a warm or semi warm afternoon sipping on the patio. Almost all of the grapes they use are grown here, and it is cool to see the carefully cultivated rows. Wine snobs may claim to be able to find cheaper and better European or Cali wines, but local wineries need to be encouraged. Future generations of wine lovers will reap the benefits of keeping the vines in our neighborhoods and towns. 4 think globally, drink locally Yelps

Yelp
3/12 (today) we visited - road conditions that most would deem unsafe due to an ice and snow storm;. yet, we still showed up, albeit 30min late. The young lady (unsure of name, dressed in a St Pattys shirt) was incredibly rude and angry towards us for being late, making several references to this. The wine tasting was boring and the wines themselves only ok. Limited food options. I'm struggling to find anything positive to say, but will still give two stars because I guess it could always be worse. Definitely no reason to return, especially with plenty of other wonderful options in the area.

Yelp
Excellent Vineyard and Winery. My 1st experience ever at one and this far exceeded my expectations. The level of customer service from our server to the owner greeting us and talking to us and making us feel like family was amazing. Highly recommend the lunch with 10 wine tasting. Excellent selections. We even purchased a whole case and we only drink wine occasionally. Help support your local great establishments and trust me, we will be back. Keep up the great work Tom.

Jan V.

Yelp
After my review, Crossing management responded and promised to put things right in terms of getting the systems updated, etc. I was very impressed with the speed and the very positive message that they sent. I've changed my star rating trusting that they will follow through.

Yelp
Winery has a nice variety of wines from dry white wines to sweet red wines, European varietals to "party wine AKA Sangria" Attended a 13 wine tasting here with cheese and chocolate while they explained how to do a wine tasting properly. Enjoyed the different wines but I am still developing my "wine tastebuds" as they say and still prefer the sweet reds. The place is quite a beautiful setting with the grapevines to the garden to the wine barrels in the tasting room. Their giftshop is quite small and could use a little more space. If I were to stop by to the individual tastings, I think $8 per person is more on the pricey side esp if you plan on buying bottles after the tasting. I have been on 2 winery tours, one in the Niagara region and one in the Fingerlakes region and they have ranged from free to $2 a tasting. This is 4x the amount and it can quickly add up if you are touring the wineries and discourage you from buying bottles unless you LOVE the wine.

Yelp
We had a great time at Crossing Vineyards! Our family signed up for a wine & cheese tasting ($30 per person). We came about 20 minutes early and had a glass of wine at the bar prior to the tasting. The peach and wild berry wines were delicious. The tasting took place in a private room. They had tables set up for each group of people with charcuterie for each person, a wine glass, and a cup for the ice water that sat in the middle of each table. We got to sample 10 wines, and most of the wines had a pairing of the charcuterie board. The charcuterie was delicious, and I think the size was good. There were only a few wines I did not care for. Our tasting leader was friendly and enthusiastic. After the tasting, we went back to the bar (of course) since our tasting ended 1.5 hours before the winery closed. After that, we went to the gift shop area to buy some wine (you can also buy the bottles at the bar). We ended up taking home a Pinot Grigio, Riesling (too sweet for my taste, but my husband liked it), Peach, and Wild Berry. I can't wait to try the peach and wild berry mixed with champagne. I'd definitely come back here again for future tasting events (I would like to try the nothing but bundt wine tasting next)!

Yelp
My husband and I have visited this local winery a few times for tastings or just to buy a bottle and sit at the beautiful patio and take in the scenery. The wines here are actually better than most Pennsylvania wineries, definitely better than Rose Bank Winery down the street! This past June we rented their Vista's Tent for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. It turned out amazing thanks to the winery and their staff. Kate was a pleasure to work with when planning the event. I planned all of the little details myself and had a million questions, she was so kind and emailed me back within hours. She even came to visit and make sure everything was perfect at the event, which was on a Sunday. I highly reccomened this local family winery for going to enjoy some wine on a lazy afternoon or even to host an unforgettable event on their beautiful grounds.

Yelp
I used to love this place. Still a very nice and beautiful place but I went recently on a Saturday and there's been a lot of changes. There was only valet parking now, which I found to be a big inconvenience actually. You can't just do a normal quick tasting, you have to pre-book a classic wine tasting which is basically a tasting class/demonstration thats 45 minutes and at tables with a bunch of other people. I booked that mistakenly before knowing it and luckily was allowed to trade my purchase for a wine flight instead. It was very good but was a preselected flight. Glad I was able to enjoy that leisurely and at own pace. When leaving, had to wait 15 minutes for the valet drivers to go get the car, and then the lady who was driving dropped the keys in the backseat by accident and wanted us to have to find them. Very inconvenient. I understand the place wants to be fancier but I personally liked when it was more simple. The grounds and the wine are amazing but I don't like all the extra stuff.

Yelp
I've come here a few times for the $10 wine tasting of their delicious wine. I am a HUGE fan of the sweet fruit wines and if you take ANYTHING away from my review is go have their peach wine and the, even MORE, amazing cherry chocolate port! Now, if you are into more than just fruity wines, they have a vast variety of whites and reds. I especially enjoy their niche wines like Le Nouveau that you will not find anywhere else. All of the great people behind the bar will guide you through the list and you will surely find one that you adore. As far as the grounds, they are as gorgeous as everyone says. Just as you walk up to the tasting areas it gives you the exact feeling you want from a vineyard - aisles of grapevines, flowers sprouting from every crevis and gorgeous outside seating areas. I also love that they have all these cool events like adult Halloween wine tasting, live bands Sundays, paint & sip, and the list goes on and on. The only con that I find is the price of the wines. They are a bit pricey in comparison to the other vineyards in the area. This also goes with their tastings, $10 for a tasting is not much, but the pour is the smallest sip ever, in comparison to other vineyards nearby that are cheaper as well. Overall, it is a wonderful stop on the Buck Wine Trail and I will absolutely be back to stock up on my favorites.

Yelp
Very unfriendly and unwelcoming experience. We walked into the side of the bar into the tasting room where we were given dirty looks for arriving 7 min past 5 when they're open till 6. Apparently tastings stop at 5 and we arrived at 5:07. Wine tasting costs $15.. seriously that's a joke price. We decided to buy a bottle and the bottle was $18 for rose and it was not good at all. It was bitter, sour, and had a horrible after taste.. we could hardly drink it honestly. This place is nothing besides "aesthetically" pleasing to the eye. will not be returning.

Yelp
Such an awesome time! The staff was super accommodating when we were running late for our reservation. We did the wine tasting that came with 12 wines for $15. Super informative since I didn't know much about wine, and very friendly as well. Would definitely go here again!

Yelp
Ok so the prices are a little steep (even for this area) and there wasn't really much to look at the vineyard but they have some of the best reds I've ever tasted in the NY NJ PA area. I mean for the most part, I really can't compare wines from this area to their western/southern/European counterparts. I've tried for many years. They just don't hold up. Some are downright harsh. Occasionally you have a perfect storm year and I'll run into a good bottle. I'm not sure if they had one of those years at Crossings this year since it was my first time here but I tried 4 reds and 3 of them were exceptional for the tristate which gives me hope. It's not that you can't find a better mass produced California red for cheaper...it's that you found it here next door to the Delaware. I'm very proud. Grab a few flights you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
The winery tasting was one of preferred ones that I've been to. I'll admit I am not serious about wine. I buy it for meals, celebrations and going out with my girls. That was no reason to turn at the door. The winery had a mix guests of know-it-alls, the clueless and the explorers. Tastings are based on basic to premium prices. My date and I went basic with a $10 cheese plate to share. Chatting with the wine guy who selected our wines was refreshing because he knew everything so well. Nothing was scripted and the selection could be changed based on what I might like. Although my date had opposite tastes at times, the pourer gave us different samples. Surprisingly, we actually agreed on Vidal Blanc for $17. The winery is located just outside of New Hope and had signs that made it easy to locate.

Yelp
Came here on president day with same girl friends. We decided to do a tour of the vineyards around the area. We stumbled upon crossing vineyards on the cold february day. We didn't regret going. We decided to do sip our afternoon away with the 10 wines wine tasting. It was about $15 for the wines they choose to bring out. Our server started us out with the whites and then transitioned to the reds. I would definitely come again, especially when the weather gets warmer out. Server was very knowledgeable and educated us on each wine she poured out for us to try. Note: If you already know which wines you like, you can also do - flight of 4 for $15. Happy sipping!

Yelp
My dsugther and I went here yesterday for some wine...This winery is really beautiful. The perfect place to enjoy an afternoon, sipping wine!! We were there for Sunday Sangria, but decided to try the wine tasting, which ended up being so personalized, the young lady was really knowledgeable and friendly. Before leaving we met Thomas; the owner, a very charming gentleman who engaged us into a very interesting conversation. After talking to him, we understood what this winery is so special. He told us the story behind the the winery and how the family is the heart of this place. If you are in the area, this is a Must go place...it will welcome you to an European chateau, with great wine, wonderful ambiance and scenery and friendly staff. We have been visiting wineries in the area, so far this is our favor, will definately go back!

Yelp
We came across this place while going for a drive so we stopped in for a wine tasting. This place is fantastic. I love wineries but this one was very special. You can host weddings or any type of event in several rooms they have. The place is clean and so well cared for. The ambiance is amazing. The grounds are pristine and cared for with so much love and detail. The wine tasting is a little more cost than average but we really enjoyed it. It was a hot and humid day and if it were nicer I would have loved to sit on the patio and enjoy a full glass of the delicious apple wine. Owner Tom is so pleasant and personable. I highly recommend this winery because it is the nicest one I've been to and I've been to many.

Yelp
I enjoyed my rose and the frozen drink (crusher?). Beautiful scenery. I am deducting one star - lots of issue with their wi fi attempting to order and when I went up front to find out where to order they kept saying to keep trying (eventually I was able to convince them to point me where the bar was). The bartenders were really nice. Valet was easy (not sure why necessary).

Yelp
Overall very unimpressed. Wine flights were overpriced. Hostess was snobby and condescending. Scolded me for trying to pick up a bottle of wine from their wine rack (that one of our group was going to buy). Not worth revisiting.

Yelp
It's very rare for me to give a one star review. But these folks have spent years earning it and after visiting again I feel it's only fair to write it as a public service. So what's so bad? First, the reason for a winery is the wine. I hear you saying 'thanks Captain Obvious!', so why do I say it? Because the owners of this oenophiles nightmare don't get it. Wine is about the terroir, about teasing the best you can from the tortured vines. Good winemakers take their craft and make the best with what they have. It is a pursuit of passion. Crossing take whatever grapes they can buy, squirt them through the finest Italian technology and produce bland fermented grape juice. There is no commitment to a particular varietal nor those which can be grown well in PA. More a commitment to slap the right label on a bottle to try to make a sale. You like Pinot? We got that. Cab? Yes. Cab franc. No problem. And so on. Find a trend in wine sales and they will be on it like dogs on meat. The wines are universally bland and lack character. There is no careful oaking, aging and blending. Just mass produced blah ness that most countries would quietly stick in small plastic bottles to give away in economy class on the worst airline they can find. Or in those foil bag box wine things sold to low cost caterers. Tastings are expensive and the pours are miserly. Some wineries give tastings free with small pours, some charge for a decent taster. Few charge for a miserly pour. Couple this with guide who describe not what the wine actually has, but rather what the varietal would have had the wine been made by someone competent. This is slightly disingenuous on any wine lover, for non wine lovers this is just unfair. Do I taste tobacco and berries? No. And I know it's not there, I'm more getting line clear and a hint of antifreeze. Telling someone whose palate isn't trained to try and find nuance that the wine doesn't have is mental cruelty and should not be allowed under the Geneva Conventions. I cannot do the wine justice. Suffice it to say if Miles Raymond of 'Sideways' game were to visit he'd give it his immortal review, namely: 'It tastes like the back of a f@cking L.A. school bus. Now they probably didn't de-stem, hoping for some semblance of concentration, crushed it up with leaves and mice, and then wound up with this rancid tar and turpentine bullsh!t. F@ckin' Raid.' Frankly I'd sooner drink bud light than this. Then there is the price. I'm all for supporting local businesses. I don't mind paying a premium to do that. This is $5 wine sold at $25. And that's a shame because I like local wines, Buckingham valley and Sand Castle both produce decent local wines at a good price point. The cheese plate is plastic, small chunks of something mass produced and sweaty. I'd say they didn't pick the cheeses to go with the wine and just bought the cheapest stuff available at WallMart or Costco on special this week and sell you generic tasteless blah, but I actually think this cheese does reflect the wine rather well. Have some blah with your LA school bus. Regular tasting not enough entertainment? Have some yoga and wine, painting and wine, dog walking and wine, 3rd rate band and wine. There is a cheap event for every occasion, mostly overpriced, mostly tacky and mostly ridiculous. The only thing I haven't seen here is a goat rodeo. Maybe next year. The shop seems to have every made in China piece of tacky wine gear you can imagine. None of it is local. It's a shame, the great wineries support other local producers and businesses. Not crossing. Lastly the staff seem bored, resigned. This is a job, not a passion. They leave you with the impression that they just don't want to be there. It's a shame because the location is great, the property lovely and they really could have a great place. But they don't. It's tough to make a winery this bad. Wineries are like Italian food, take a few simple things and don't screw it up. This one has taken a real focus on taking every customer for every penny and squeezing every last fraction of a cent from every transaction. And for that they get a one star.

Yelp
This place was a great stop on our Sesame Place weekend. The landscaping was something to really look at and the wine was pretty good and affordable. My wife and I really like Vidal grapes in wine and they have a really good one. It is a 200 year old estate that's right around the corner from where Washington crossed the Delaware in 1776. I am sure that's in every review but we kind of stumbled on the place. It was okay for little kids but a place I would like to visit without kids because it has a relaxing vibe. Great service and they bring what you order right to your table. Their pricing was a little strange with the flights which is why I am taking a star away. It's $20 for 4 wines at 2.5 oz each (10 oz). They sell bottles for $18 for 750ml (25 oz).

Yelp
I booked the Celebration Wine Tasting for my 60th birthday and everything exceeded my expectations!!! The grounds are so beautiful and the staff are pleasant and professional. Julia was our hostess and she is the best. She is very knowledgeable of the wine and her professionalism and charm is just what we needed to feel welcome. Julia fit right in with us, she is part of our sisterhood family now. The 10 wine tastings had us lit when we left, lol. The food and the cake were very good and filling. Beautiful cake!!! I highly recommend Crossing Vineyard & Winery!!!

Yelp
This is by far the best winery in bucks county. All of the others have absolutely terrible wine and are basically "serve yourself" which in my opinion, defeats the purpose of a wine tasting. I've been to this winery about 3 times and have always received great and informative tastings. The staff is very friendly. As others have mentioned, the prices are higher, but I'm willing to pay this to support a local business.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting a vineyard and I enjoyed the experience. I searched online for a vineyard that provided wine tasting and this one seemed like it was in a location not too far from the Philadelphia area and the reviews were great so I made a reservation! Let me say the wines were fantastic! The estate wines were certainly my favorite. I was expecting a little more for the tasting however. There wasn't much depth to information the pourers were providing. I could have read the bottle myself and tasted the wined and had the same information, so that was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend for the tastings but I would recommend to come and enjoy a glass outside and enjoy conversation because the scenery is beautiful! When you arrive you pull into a small parking lot and walk up stone steps and are welcomed by beautifully well kept grounds. There were flowers everywhere, a fountain and of course the vines. It was just a picturesque scene and I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Yelp
Great place for a tasting! This is a perfect place to stop off on a day trip (not sure it warrants a special trip). My wife and I stopped in before our dinner reservation and enjoyed a short tasting. The tastings are very affordable and you get to try a variety. We ended up buying their chocolate desert wine and it was a perfect addition for a night by the fire pit. I only have one critique and that would be when you offer a tasting I can understand not using new glasses but please at least rinse them out. It appeared to be common place for each person to get a "red" and "white" glass and they do not reinsert them out in between.
