WOW!! Perfect customer service and perfect baked goods. I reserved a Key lime pie on a Saturday morning and picked it up Saturday afternoon and there it was waiting for me as promised. The place was packed yet the line moved very quickly, and every worker there was astute, high energy, and very happy to serve every customer they greeted. They all really seemed like they love what they were doing, which made me love being in there. Everybody in that bakery was happy, especially the customers. So of course, I added some chocolate squares to my order because they looked too good to be true. The pie and the chocolate squares were beyond delicious. When they talk about sugar being more addictive than heroin, they have clearly visited this bakery. Honestly, it’s probably the best bakery I’ve ever been to. So friendly, so good, so go there… now! Enjoy!

I am so lucky I live in the same town as Crossroads. My favorites- Olive rolls and croissants. If you get a bag of croissants it weighs about 10 pounds. I never was into croissants before I tried them from here. They are spectacular- especially the raspberry which I just got last week. Wow. Their different types of focaccia are all amazing. But their olive rolls will always be my very favorite thing. Perfect when eaten plain or put cream cheese or goat cheese. Last week I spied a sandwich I had never tried before. Fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, mixed greens and balsamic vinaigrette on an olive roll. One of the top three sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. I have been counting the days until I can get another!

Crossroads Bake Shop in Doylestown is a true treasure — the kind of bakery that reminds you how good real, handcrafted baking can be. Every visit feels like a treat, whether you're picking up a crusty artisan loaf, a delicate tart, or one of their amazing seasonal specialties. The quality here is second to none. You can taste the care in every bite — the bread is always fresh and full of flavor, the pastries are balanced and not overly sweet, and everything is beautifully presented without being fussy. The staff is warm and knowledgeable, always happy to recommend something new or chat about the ingredients. It’s the kind of place where you feel a connection — not just to the food, but to the people who make it. Doylestown is lucky to have Crossroads. It’s a staple for locals and a must-visit for anyone passing through. Whether you're grabbing your weekly loaf or treating yourself to a croissant and coffee, you’ll leave with something delicious — and probably a smile, too.

Google
I've had alot of danish in my life but the apricot danish I just had, was truly the best. The biscotti (cranberry/apricot) I bought were also amazing. My Italian mother law would have even liked them! The whole grain bread I'm saving till I get home tonight. What a Master baker you have at Crossroads. Excellent service, also. The shop was great and oh those pretty cakes! I was recommended by a client and I'm sure glad that I stopped by this morning. See you again and thank you so much.

Google
I've been a fan of Crossroads for a long time but had to write a review today regarding their Irish Whiskey cake which I just tried for the first time. OMG! Simply amazing! Bakery is filled with goodies! Best bake shop ever! Just had to add to my initial review the fact that I just tried the Torta Della Nonno. Wow...just wow! I think it's the ultimate dessert.

Google
everything is good! I had a raspberry croissant for the first time and it was one of the most delicious things i’ve ever had. way better than a jelly donut!

Google
Get the spinach croissant and raspberry croissant with an ice matcha latte! FYI no seating inside for customers so everything is to-go. MUST STOP if you’re in the area! Lots of options and super friendly staff.

Yelp
We purchased a fresh apple pie for our dessert during the Super Bowl. Nothing better than a great apple pie and vanilla ice cream to top off great eating. Crossroads is an excellent bakery. Parking is tight at times but that is to be expected because they are always busy. Good baked goods of all types. I never had a bad pie or anything else bad at Crossroads. Pricing is $$. Friendly service. Accommodating. A nice small business to support. Enjoy there baked goods for your sweet tooth.

Rhonda L.

Yelp
I am never disappointed when I come here. While I absolutely come for the coffee (more times during the day than I should!) I enjoy getting things for friends and hearing how much they enjoy everything! I have made a mission to try all the pies (which I have) and just yesterday had the most delicious item. The lemon pound cake with sage. I love lemon and saw it and could not resist. Most importantly are the people - they are thoughtful, pleasant and I truly enjoy going there -
google avatar

Yelp
Best bread in town. I've tried many and all were great. Don't sleep on their focaccia and croissants. I'm due back! Cute place where everyone is always friendly and there are soooo many choices!
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
All around great bakery. Breads are excellent. Pastries superb, including the incredible morning rolls. Cakes very solid. Also they sell and serve Small World Coffee, which is great beans. Get there early as things do sell out. I almost don't want to write a review in case it gets more crowded. Recommended!
google avatar

Cass W.

Yelp
Baked goods are awesome! Croissants sell out too fast--they should make more. Coffee is great. Service is OK. Most of the folks behind the counter, young or old, have an attitude. Hearing "Thank you" or "Have a nice day" is rare. They kinda act like you should be thanking them. Anyway, I keep coming back because their products are deliciously dope. Just wish they were a more pleasant bunch in there.
google avatar

Lisa O.

Yelp
Their breads and croissants are so good. The staff is great. I was there right before closing and they were happy to help.

George R.

Yelp
Great bread but very lame that they won't slice it for you. They said it would clog their machine! So how are we supposed to slice it? How about getting a capable machine please.

Dan S.

Yelp
Everything they have is incredible: morning rolls, biscuits, paninis - it's impossible to pick!! The workers there are super friendly and helpful. 10/10 They also make some lil dog treats
google avatar

Yelp
I had the good fortune of my wife bringing home some items from Crossroads, and everything was spectacular. We tried the French "football" loaf, a chocolate croissant, and a mini focaccia topped with olive, artichoke, onion, and cheese. Each item was fresh and baked perfectly, and the flavors were superb. I will absolutely return to this bakery!

Iris L.

Yelp
Absolute best bakery in the area. Scratch baked, well baked, fresh ingredients, excellent breads. Everything I've ever purchased is exceptional and I'm a retired pastry chef/baker.

Yelp
I give it five stars for service and taste I only had the bread but will try some other stuff on next trip the olive rolls and French bread definitely have a taste to them I will be back .don't understand the bad reviews about the service the service was great!!!
google avatar

Suzan B.

Yelp
This is my favorite bakery on the planet. Wonderful baked goods, wonderful service. I wish they go back to their old, more extended hours though.

Yelp
The amazingness of Crossroads Bake Shop is truly beyond anything I could write about here. Every single item we have purchased here has reached way above our expectations. Chocolate Decadence (little squares of paradise) are simply outrageous, the potato~onion focaccia is phenomenal, the lemon~chocolate torte just astounding....I have a "Crossroads Bucket List" and high hopes of tasting every little thing they serve up. Cupcakes, cakes, breads and the most patient (because it takes time to soak in the deliciousness and choose!), courteous staff you could hope for.
google avatar

Jadwiga H.

Yelp
Love the olive rolls, keep missing French country bread , my favorite Was gifted a chocolate cake - so delicious.

Yelp
Coffee out of this world!! Bread will make you drool. Pastries will have you wanting more!! I just wish they were open 7 days a week

Yelp
Best bakery in town! Quiche, bread, scones & muffins are exceptional. I'm looking forward to ordering a cake for an upcoming birthday. We also love their lattes/coffee bar.

Sal D.

Yelp
Crossroads was a recent find for us as we moved to Doylestown. Great bakery for bread, hearty pastries and the best pies (including key lime which is very difficult to find - high quality / traditional). The service is really good too. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.
google avatar

James N.

Yelp
A really great bakery! Everything I purchased from this bakery was absolutely delicious. The bakery chefs were professionals!

Yelp
I was so incredibly disappointed today. I have been a patron for years , on Saturday I ordered a bread I was very specific and asked before I ordered if it could be sliced . I continued to ask what time I should pick it up and the owner and a really nice young man told me 2 would be perfect. I sent my husband, who was treated very disrespectfully by two very young women, who refused to put the bread through the slicer and just told him to leave if he wasn't happy with the service. He asked to speak to the owner and while he was explaining the situation the young woman proceeded to interrupt him just a bad situation. Needless to say we will not be returning back . We can go to tabora where they have wonderful baked bread and are always more than happy to slice it and browns pastry where the baked goods are wonderful made daily and the staff is pleasant and helpful. So sad to see this happening there.

Linda P.

Yelp
The quiche is amazing! Such a busy place and now we know why. Had their raisin scones, also amazingly delicious!!

Jan D.

Yelp
The bread is to die food. I can not go past here without getting a loaf of sourdough. Have also tried the lemon tart and it is amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
Doylestown 's BEST bakery! Artisan bread, baked daily, scones, rolls, panini, fresh granola, cookies, torte and lets not forget the freshly ground coffee made daily! Oh my! I've died and gone to heaven!! They serve the Best French tea (which you can buy in bulk as well) and you won't find chemical sweetener here either! Only the good-for-you stuff! Out front is a used-book swap next to a bench so you can find something to read while indulging in your favorite treat and return the favor for another person. Ah yes...this IS the good life! P.S. try a raspberry filled croissant or the gluten free chocolate torte. You'll feel as though you're in pastry heaven!

Marcel L.

Yelp
I am with Helen S. below. Quality of product is very good but I been treated very poorly by some of the staff...especially the older staff who may or may not be the owners. Don't dare ask if there are any French rolls left if there are none out...it's like the Soup Nazi (Seinfeld) except it's for rolls.
google avatar

Connie M.

Yelp
The only bakery around that consistently produces baked goods that can compete with European products. The bread and croissants especially are phenomenal.... Try a morning roll if you're looking for a sweet fix or an olive roll with cream cheese if you need something savory! Great service, always. The staff is always pleasant and dignified, regardless of the situation or customer they may be working with.
google avatar

Christine C.

Yelp
Everything at this bakery is delicious!! My favorites are the quiche Lorraine and the regular or chocolate croissants. You can order ahead or walk in, and they always have a great selection!
google avatar

Erica C.

Yelp
I have been going to this bakery for years and they consistently offer incredible service and top-notch baked goods! I often phone in my orders to have things reserved ahead of time and my calls are always handled promptly and professionally. Even with an incredibly busy atmosphere I am always greeted with a smile. This morning we met another family in the parking lot and tailgated with our morning rolls! Thank you for being a permanent fixture in our community. We are so fortunate.

Norma K.

Yelp
Better than homemade!! Whether it's bread, cakes, pies or cookies this bakery is outstanding. Everything is made with the highest quality ingredients. None like it.
google avatar

Robert W.

Yelp
I always tell people this is the best bakery this side of Philly or New York. What makes their baked goods special is that the owners trained in France and brought back the techniques that make French baked goods the best in the world. Their baguettes are authentic - perfect! Their croissants to die for. I like their adaptations - raspberry or cinnamon croissants. I belong to an unofficial club that shows up at 7 when they open. That's when certain things like the above mentioned croissants are at their peak of freshness. It's fun sitting there eating and drinking the Small World coffee (made in Princeton) they have which is I think the best coffee in the world. Their other baked goods dazzle the eyes and pallet. Their quiches are to die for. Their rustic breads are oui, la, la. The Old World bread is my favorite.
google avatar

Maya D.

Yelp
I've visited the bake shop on two different occasions. The olive role is great and so is the chocolate croissant. Unfortunately, the bakes are very greasy, way too much oil/butter for my taste. The service was nice, for the most part, but apparently they do not have restrooms (for guests or otherwise), so if you really need to go, I suggest you hold it in.
google avatar

Christopher D.

Yelp
In the age of hypermarket and walmartization of the US, it is a breath of fresh air to find a small shop dedicated to making quality product for a local area. Crossroads Bakeshop is my morning stop for a cup of fair trade coffee, a freshly baked croissant or olive roll. They also have great holiday breads like stollen, and italian panatone. Fridays you may also find buttery treats like brioche which will melt in your mouth. My motto is eat local .. and Crossroads is a reason to live up to that motto.
google avatar

Alla G.

Yelp
Great place, quality product and friendly and knowledgeable staff. I've tried their breakfast pastries like savory croissants, quiche, chocolate croissants and all have been great, authentic and you can tell they use high quality product in their baking. I'm also really happy with their tea selection as typically places focus on just coffee and have Lipton or similar for the tea drinkers. Not here. Here you'll find a large selection of Rishi teas. And lastly I've tried their flourless espresso chocolate cake, on several occasions, and it's been a hit with company. It's rich, but very tasty. They seem to specialize in pies and breads. Overall, great local bakery.
google avatar

Rich B.

Yelp
Their bread is incredible! French baguettes, cranberry walnut, olive(black or spicy green) is some of the best bread I've had.Nice tasty choices of foccacias, slices and individual pizzas. They have some gluten-free & organic choices as well. Great red velvet cupcakes and choc chip cookies(the small ones by the pound were much better than the large individual). Excellent morning glory muffins & croissants. This place also turned me on to Rishi brand tea; which is now my favorite. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is there a strong odor reminiscent of potpourri (like almond or cherry) that you smell upon entering. It's not bad, but I noticed that it actually permeates and has flavored the bread adversely on occasion. Not a good thing! Prices are a bit steep on many items. They run out of bread early on weekends; but will hold some for you if you call.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is so delightful. My father and I come here every Sunday after church and it's great. The food quality is equivalent to that of a Parisienne bakery and I love it. The staff is very friendly and the environment of the bakery is very nice too! The food is just so authentic you have to try it!

Bill S.

Yelp
My last three or four times here were very pleasant experiences ( personnel wise ). The products are excellent. Let's see if the attitudes remain so. Have been back many times since my last review, and the staff and attitude has dramatically change for the better. Look forward to shopping here for excellent baked goods.

Yelp
We love this bake shop! I was skeptical when I read about the service but everyone was extremely friendly. If you are looking for something sweet - go for the morning rolls. My boyfriend loves their focaccia with potatoes and bacon. The coffee is strong and delicious. We have visited several times and will be going back soon.

Steve R.

Yelp
Best bakery in Bucks county, probably even farther out. My son and I go there after church every weekend. Authentic French breads and pastries, including croissants and pain chocolats. Excellent baguettes and bread. (I used to live in France and can't find much good bread here outside the cities). Try the épée, which is a loaf of bread made up of small rolls you can "break off" individually. The "morning rolls" are a sweet, addictive creation. The coffee they serve is wonderful. I drink strong coffee and normally, I need to add a shot of espresso to my cup, everywhere I go. However this place serves a "grumpy monkey" coffee which is strong enough that I don't need to add espresso. Bravo! Warning to "high maintenance" prospective customers: this place is an authentic European style bakery, in that they bake their products fresh every day and don't hold inventory over until the next day. That ensures high quality and freshness. Many times I've been in line behind "cry babies" who lament (for several minutes, holding up the line) that the day's inventory has been bought out. Recommendation: get there early, buy your stuff, and don't be a "cry baby," if they don't have your favorite waiting for you. The people who work here are delightful, charming, and hard working. They serve you fast! Over the years, I've found you can usually tell when an eating establishment is owned by a woman. Such places are clean, tastefully decorated, and classy. This place is just that. We men should learn a thing or two from the ladies! Be aware, you have to go outside to some shared bathrooms, if you need to go.
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this bakery, however it fell short!! The interior is pretty and the baked goods looked awesome but the flavor was lacking!! I ordered raspberry croissants, which looked fabulous but they tasted like cardboard and had dime size filling in them. Also purchased pumpkin apple pie, which was decorated nicely, but again it lacked flavor and was very light tasting!! I couldn't even tell that it tasted like a pumpkin pie!! So that being said, don't go by how the place looks or how good the baked goods look because it's very deceiving! I ended up throwing it all out!!!
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Some of the reviews mention poor service, however this is something I have never experienced. I lived in Doylestown for about two years and visited regularly. I personally love the croissants, scones and chocolate chip cookies. Today we visited for the first time in a few years (after moving away from the area). It was every bit as good as I remembered. The staff was friendly and everything was delightful
google avatar

Yelp
It's rare to find a decent bakery in the suburbs. It's rare to find a bakery anywhere in the United States that can produce a decent loaf of bread. Somehow Crossroads has thrived and even expanded its operations in a less than attractive strip mall that's surrounded by car dealerships and gas stations. Why? Simple. They run a great bakery with consistently good quality baked goods that rival what you can find in some of the better bakeries in major cities throughout this country. Is everything as good as what you would find in the best patisserie in Paris? No. Do their baguettes demonstrate a clear understanding of the fine balance of science and art that produce a quality artisanal bread? Yes. With rare exception everything I've purchased from Crossroads has been good or excellent. If you're driving through Doylestown make the effort to find this place.

Kris H.

Yelp
Morning rolls and chocolate croissants are delicious and worth the 30 minute drive with the kids from our house. Yummy!!!
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
Hands down the best coffee and bakery in all of Doylestown. Run by an extremely competent and personable staff, all of which have adorable, quirky, and unique personalities. However, my one issue with the place is that they do not have a dedicated cashier. I've waited for several minutes to try to pay for my coffee. Not a very good system. Treat yourself by starting off with a cup of Grumpy Monkey Blend, you'll be hooked too. Personally, I'm not a big baked goods type. But the smell of this shop is enticing, alluring, hypnotizing. Their breads, cakes, and pastries all look incredible. I've had their country bread loaf many times at family meals---excellent.
google avatar

Karen F.

Yelp
The bakeries in Bucks County have not been that great, but Crossroads is surprisingly good - anbd busy as a beehive on Saturday mornings. My daughter's itty-bitty (.95 cents) chocolate cupcake was the perfect size of deliciousness and I enjoyed a flaky buttery croissant. I was very impressed with what we tried and would definitely come back again.

Bev S.

Yelp
This is the ultimate bake shop in Doylestown !!! If your in town I highly recommend stoping in for a coffee an a delicious treat ! They also have a vegan chocolate cake an flourless chocolate cake, they make all kinds of bread an cookies oh an let's not forget the pies! Crossroads also offers lots of teas to pick from ! Stop in I promise you will love it!!!
google avatar

Fair L.

Yelp
It's a bakery, but I think the place is much more well known for their bread. All of their bread are excellent. Olive rolls are out of this world, spicy or black... They also have special breads that are only available on Fri and Sat too. I forgot their names but they are equally 'superb'. Birthday cakes are European style, meaning 'not too sweet' but creamy instead. The service is quick and people are friendly. Prices are in the high side but it is just fair that you have to pay for quality and good products. I don't go up that way too much, but some time just thinking of those Olive rolls alone would make me take the 10 miles trip to go up there for them.

Yelp
OMG! Going into Crossroads Bake Shop is like dying and going to heaven! I've lived in PA for 11 years and never knew where it was but always saw it advertised. Well, I finally found it! This may also be a bad thing, as I find myself making excuses to go toward Doylestown so I can stop at Crossroads Bakery. Best bakery ever in NJ or PA in my 54 years. I wrote that nearly two years ago and sent it to the Intelligencer newspaper. I can say that this is STILL the best bakery around. I am now nearly 56 and I still find that your bakery is by far the best bakery between NJ and PA. Thank you for the taste sensations!! Sincerely, Susan K. Rhoades Upper Black Eddy, PA

Yelp
i really need to kick the coconut obsession one of these days because everyone else in my family seems to hate it, which leaves me unable to bake my own coconut desserts. And that is when I head here to grab a box of the coconut cupcakes. There is actual shredded coconut baked into the rich cake and then more coconut on top. The icing is creamy and sweet but not overly so. It is usually extremely crowded on weekends, though. I would get here early (11 am on Sundays seems to be the prime hour) before they run out of the more popular items, namely the mini cupcakes and croissants (although these aren't as good as the Little Chef's in Princeton).
google avatar

Phi N.

Yelp
What to buy here: Fresh eggs Baguettes Challah espresso drinks, coffee and tea (loose, beans) plain croissants (almond, chocolate are good too) local honey special loafs This is my go to place for loafs and baguettes or other baked goods. They sell pizza dough too although it's not the best, it's not that bad. Their barista drinks are always amazing though---YUM.
google avatar

Don R.

Yelp
Don't expect the ordinary at Crossroads. Their bread is the best outside of NYC. They make different breads daily so go often to try them all. Bagettes are crisp and wonderful. Their whole grain breads are the best. Their butter cookies are for real not the usual, with special flavors like the orange short bread and lavendar tea cookies. Pies are very good I love the almond crust cherry and the pecan. Morning pasteries are special, I love the almond or chocolate croissants. Fruit tarts are also really good. The staff are freindly and helpful. They also have a limited number of items at the Stockton, NJ Farm Market on weekends if you can't get to Doylestown.

Yelp
I've been to this cash only bakery (there's a mac if you need one) many times and I always enjoy whatever I get. The breads are always fresh and there is normally a nice assortment of sweet baked goods (lavender cookies, blueberry bran muffins, and small vanilla cupcakes with real butter not that shortening stuff). The good stuff goes early so plan accordingly if you want something in particular. O! I almost forgot. . . they have pizza (different, bakery style, not pizza shop) sometimes around lunch. Sooo tasty if you can get your hands on one.
