The 16 Hottest New Restaurants in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

"The bones of the famed Oriental Drugs pharmacy and lunch counter at the crossroads of North and Farwell could never quite figure out which skin to live in. Through the years, it has housed a multitude of burger and pizza spots to little success. So now it’s a bit of everything: a food hall that includes barbecue, tacos, falafel, ice cream, and even an after-hours speakeasy-style bar. It’s an experimental new start for the building that in many ways is the heart of the old East Side." - Todd Lazarski

Love this nice collection of vendors. Was very impressed with Capybara Cafe. It has amazing authentic Colombian Street Food! The empanadas are so tasty! The Salchipapa dish will feed two or more people, it’s huge! The menu is full of yummy Colombian dishes! So delicious and it is the first cafe featuring Colombian cuisine in Milwaukee! The expresso drinks are a nice touch. Muy delicioso!!!

This place is amazing! I came here hungover, with no clue what I wanted to eat. Thankfully this place had everything I could think of! And to top it off, the food was amazing! I ordered from 3 seperate restaurants, I had edemame which was amazing, the Alfredo and ceaser salad from noodle me, and lastly, the spotlight goes to MEX avenue. They opened about a week ago, and I’m telling you everyone, YOU NEED TO TRY TO BIRRIA RAMEN!!!!!!!!! It’s the best thing I think I’ve ever had.

Advertised hh extended to 8pm with 5$ apps at all of the food stalls but none of them participated . Bingo is really fun!!!!

I was very happy with the quality of the food it was delicious. However the quantity of the salad was not very much and they forgot one of our salads. Which was very disappointing. Also the staff that handed me back my card was wearing a glove that had food all over it so I had to clean it before putting it back in my purse. I would definitely return just will have to check the order before we depart.

Google
The Mex Fries from Mex Ave here at Crossroads Collective was a smart decision. For $15 they had you this platter, and I usually eat quite a bit but this one left my belly full and happy. Definitely want to try some other items from the menu!

Google
Ultimate trendy hip food hall with unique choosings. The atmosphere is modern yet inviting wrapped up in an artistic culinary palette. I got KFC special of the day pizza from E&F Pizzaria which had corn, chicken and mashed potatoes and was a fun and tasty experience! The crust is crunch and the toppings made the inside gooey with cheese and delicious! Everyone there was so friendly and willing to help narrow down our options on what sounded good too. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

I visited Crossroads Collective for the first time on a Saturday late afternoon with a group of four. As it was between lunch and dinner, we had no trouble ordering and our food was received in a timely fashion. The space is very nice; modern and a good set up with plenty of seating options, be it the bar at the location you’re eating/drinking at or a table to share. The prices seemed reasonable, and the main reason we chose this was the options – it’s great to have half a dozen or so vendors in the same space to choose from. The service was generally friendly, although the parking situation was dire (but hey, it’s the East Side on a Saturday). I opted for Egg & Flour Pasta Bar, and felt my (Creste de Gallo – walnut basil pesto) was good but nothing to rave about; the pasta was a little undercooked for my taste but the pesto that was on it was good. The person preparing it was only wearing one food safety glove, which was off-putting. They were grabbing ingredients with their bare hand and throwing them in the bowl to mix, and then wiping their hand on their pants and apron. The price ($10 + tip) for the portion size I received was good. My friends and significant other chose sandwiches and soups from Frida. My significant other had the Cubano and Pozole Rojo, which they enjoyed. I had a few bites and I thought it was good, but again, nothing phenomenal. The price tag was a little much though; $19 + tip for a small sandwich, a cup of soup, and a small bag of chips. This seemed pretty excessive. One of our dining companions absolutely did not like their sandwich or soup though; they ordered the BLT, which I also found a little weird…bacon, American cheese, and a spring mix-esque purple-y green lettuce that didn’t looked like it belonged on a sandwich. They ended up not being able to eat it and ordered from Heaven’s Table BBQ to go as we were leaving, which looked really good. I would recommend Crossroads Collective if you’re dining with a group and can’t decide on what kind of food you’d like, or would like multiple options conveniently in one location. I would like to go back and check out the raw bar for seafood and Small Pie some time.

Google
Clean and modern interior with excellent options inside all the way from delicious vegan dishes to award winning barbecue, soups, sandwiches and tacos. Definitely not your average "food court" feel. Prices ranging from about $7-15 per entree. Very affordable and options for everyone. Their bar is a great central place to get friendly advice and suggestions or just to sit and have a drink while you figure out what you want. Pro tip: the bar keeps a menu from each vendor available so you don't have to walk around to each place to see what they have. However, I do recommend taking a self-guided tour as each space, although cohesive to the establishment, has its own unique ambiance.

Yelp
Who doesn't love a good food hall? Especially with someone like myself who is craving various tastes simultaneously. I call myself a grazer because I like to snack and snack and snack. It's even more convenient that I can sample different foods all in one place. This is a great place for a friend group who all have different preferences, or who like to share and taste what all there is to offer. Found Crossroads Collective during a Yelp event, and I was thoroughly impressed! I even liked the barbecue option, and I am not a barbecue girly. The food hall is also conveniently located by bars in the area, so you could grab some post- or pre-dinner drinks. Although there is a warp around bar in the center of the food hall, so you may not even need to leave for drinks. But it's nice having the option to keep the fun times rolling in the area.

Yelp
The Crossroads Collective has a great variety of different food vendors providing an eclectic dining experience for groups that cannot decide on one type of food. Specifically, Crossroads offers Mexican, Vegan Indian, Sushi, BBQ, ice cream, and Columbian food offerings. Additionally, there is a full-service bar for all your drinking needs. This is a great place to sample several different types of foods and then head over to Black Cat Alley to check out the graffiti art and if you keep your eyes open you may find a place to grab a drink!

Yelp
Choices of different types of foods. Quite interesting. Most places have drinks and a bar is available. Find what you want then go to counter at restaurant. Pick up food and find a table to eat at. Service is great at most places. Ambiance is pleasant. It's a fun place. Good for family. $-$$

Yelp
Great experience as always! We went on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy and felt comfortable. We love trying a little something from each vendor starting with drinks at the Pharmacy Bar. These drinks are always made with care, unique and taste so yummy. Next, we walk around and decide which 3 places to go to, one being Scratch ice cream of course to end the night. We got 6 empanadas for $18 at the Capybara cafe and my favorite was actually the vegan empanada, with potatoes and veggies in it. We then shared two sushi rolls. You can't go wrong with what you order. The customer service at Awi Sushi is by far the best and they make great rolls! Ending the night with Scratch ice cream, rounds out the experience and is so tasty and I recommend getting a smaller cup than you think, they are very generous!

Yelp
Stopped by here for dinner on our way to Oriental Theater and it was a solid experience. There are a handful of food options with a good variety of cuisines and drinks. Makes it a good spot if you can't decide as a group where to go without it being a huge place like the public market or 3rd street market hall. Nice and cozy and there are events and specials going on throughout the week. I had the Brr Berry drink from the Pharmacy and quesobirria from The Mex Avenue. Service at both spots was excellent and the food and drinks were delish. It's random, but I really appreciated the Mex Ave put the cilantro on the side instead of sprinkling/mixing it in. As a cilantro hater, it can make or break a dish for me. Overall a very good experience. Pro tip, if you need parking, just go to the Whole Foods garage. Usually it's free and is just across the street.

Yelp
Fun spot with lots of different types of food. Indoor/outdoor dining options, water station & clean bathrooms. I tried a falafel, the wrap tasted like a pancake it wasn't what I had hoped for. I will definitely go back and try a different spot within.

Yelp
We have ordered food from vendors at this food court several times in the last few years. The list of vendors has almost completely changed since we first visited it over 4 years ago, but there are always at least a couple that are to our liking. It recently hosted a Foodie Passport event that let the customer get one dish from basically every vendor for a total of $50. The choice of food from each vendor was predetermined for the event. Even though the quantity of each dish was small, the cumulative amount of food from 6 different food vendors was quite large and enough for two meals. Here is my review of the dishes we tired. --The Tonkotsu Ramen from Kawa was very tasty but a bit too salty for us. We've visit Kawa's main restaurant multiple times and always liked their ramen and sushi. --The Creamy Basil Pesto Pasta from Noodle Me had both good taste and good texture. So, we expect to get food from the vendor again in the future. --The Southern Belle eggroll from Ready to Roll was very good. This is another vendor we expect to visit again. --The Termis vegan wrap seemed unique and also tasted good. We'll be glad to try other non-vegetarian dishes from the vendor next time. --The chicken and beef tacos from Mex Avenue had simple flavors and were fine. --The Yellow Coconut Curry Chicken Bowl from Nute's had tender chicken meat but was a bit blend. We prefer more flavorful curry dishes. --The gentleman at Scratch Ice Cream shop let us choose any of the flavors even though only one of the flavors was designated for the event. We tried two of them and liked both. --The Pharmacy Bar gave us sake tea, which we enjoyed for its unique flavor combination. Overall, the Foodie Passport was fun event.

Yelp
This place is constantly revolving. Which is a great thing. Provide us, as customers, ongoing variety of dining experiences. While we miss some of the previous food hall tenants, we also get excited about the replacements.

Yelp
I love a good food hall - and on day one in MKE I found this place that did not disappoint! The choices were diverse, so I think really anyone would be able to find a treat they would enjoy. In addition to the vendors, they also have a bar area and a water station which was perfect for my day of exploring the city. The space does loop around a bit, so on first glance it may look small, but turn the corner, because there is probably more to explore! For the warmer months, the outdoor seating was also perfect! There was plenty of seating, but I don't think it would ever really feel crowded given the layout of the areas.

Yelp
I love a good food hall. this place has a lot of options so it's great for trying multiple things or groups of people with different tastes. it also has a pretty good outdoor space and sometimes live music

John O.

Yelp
Noddle Me was underwhelming at best. I get what they are going for but it was a swing and miss. The only flavor here is bland. Perhaps the fact that this was takeout made the food unpalatable. I'd give it another shot but if they don't bring out the flavor, I think they will have a tough time getting repeat customers.

Yelp
Not your average food court. We had grilled broccoli taco - which was apparently a special - and the jerk chicken at a place called Kushiyaki. Yes tacos at a place with a name ending in "yaki". It is billed as Latin Asian fusion. The chicken was not over cooked, which is rare these days. . But don't expect Jamacian heat. The grilled broccoli tacos are a new take on tacos for me. I enjoy broccoli in general, I liked that it had the crunch without the edge of raw broccoli. We topped the meal off with Scratch Ice Cream. Vegan cotton candy ( my spouse eats vegan). It is tolerable for a dairy eater like me. He enjoyed it. The service is good food court service,

Yelp
Love that Milwaukee has this concept in the city. I enjoy all the vendors but my common go to is Scratch. They have so many unique delicious flavors. Tonight we got the salted caramel waffle cone.
google avatar

Kelsey G.

Yelp
Great vibes and options. Plus the indoor/outdoor feel in the springtime is perfect! Wish we could have tried other flavors of the specialty spring roll place...
google avatar

Nikita B.

Yelp
Love this place. They have a large variety of restaurants serving different types of fusion cuisines, making it a one stop shop for your entire family's food cravings. I went with egg and flour's pasta which tasted fresh and delicious. Once you're done ordering, they hand you a buzzer that beeps when you're food is ready. The other cuisine options here are Indian, latin, japanese and bar food.

Yelp
Stopped again, hoping for better results. Only the bar has iced tea unsweetened. At noon the place is active, but not busy. Still a 25 min wait for a salad. No one else in line and 3 staff behind counter. When I asked for it to go, staff were put out and rude. I'm done.

Yelp
Crossroad Collective is the place you need to be for your next gals night, date night, or even a night with the family. They have a little bit of something for everyone. My husband and I went on a date night and got a variety of dishes. See full details below: Drinks were at the @thecounterdaybar - so cool seeing a place that offers unique and fun non-alcoholic drinks, but also having a variety to choose from! My drink was the Bee & Jupiter My husbands was the house special of the Liquid Luck Starting off with shareable from @diabommke with a chorizo bao bun & @tricicloperumke corn + cheese empanada! Then for dinner we went to @eggandflourmke got entrees of the creamy Shells and Bucatini Then to end the evening we headed over to @scratchicecreammke for their current ice cream special of cereal & milk ice cream with lucky charms mixed to give it the St Patrick's Day feel! Outside of the vendors we tried there is a few more such as @thepharmacymke and @rutasmke that we hope to stop by next time! All handles above link to each vendors instagrams to checkout more of their menu and what they have to offer! We loved checking out @crossroadsmke Overall, everything was super yummy, colorful, and would recommend to anyone to checkout when in the city of Milwaukee!

Yelp
I came to CrossRoad for Hot Wax and the chicken tenders were fire! Crispy, perfectly juicy, and just hit the spot. I wished these tenders came with free side of fries too, that would have made me give them a 5 stars. A little on the pricier side for 5 tiny tenders, but its fine. Service at the cashier was nice too. Loved being able to sit any where, so I liked the ambiance. ------------ My Star Rating Scale: 5 Stars: Blew my mind, had a wow factor, will come back 4 Stars: I liked it but didn't love it, no wow factor, will still come back 3 Stars: It was okay, I didn't hate it but didn't like it either; would not voluntarily come back 2 Stars: I did not like it, I would not come back 1 Star: Absolutely hated it, I would not come back here

Yelp
Absolutely my favorite food place on the East side in Milwaukee. Ther eis always something new to try and I can never get bored of the food. Crossroads is a cornucopia of different restaurants and cuisines and is a food hall where you can mix and match the food and appetizers, drinks and desserts. My favorites in Crossroads are Ruta's, Mina, Thum, Scratch and The Pharmacy (get the cocktails, they are definitely hit the spot, every single time!). Try a little bit of everything, there is no right or wrong way to do Crossroads
google avatar

Yelp
I must have said out loud three times to my husband "this place is the best concept!" I mean, it really is. The culinary-driven food hall is home to eight different vendors offering a variety of food and drinks. You got pizza, you got ice cream, you got Indian food, coffee, pasta, Latin American cuisine, the list goes on. It's the perfect place to go when you and your husband can't agree on what to have for dinner ;) Yeah, that was us. What feels unique about this place is that it's hip and upscale, making it an enjoyable place to hang out for a bit. Plus (major bonus) there is a beautiful bar - cleverly named The Pharmacy - sprawling through the middle where you can enjoy some great cocktails, local beers, or fresh juices. We recently sat here and sipped on two delicious elixirs: a mezcal margarita of sorts, and a a tasty gin, lemony, Tom-Collins type of drink. The cocktail names clearly have slipped my mind, but you'll no doubt find something on their menu to enjoy. There's a QR code menu on the bar (and all tables) to put in an order that is brought right to ya when it's ready. It's very easy and efficient. Because there are so many vendors, naturally we had to try a few things out. We opted for Ruta's chicken curry, Triciclo Peru's empanadas, and Dia Bom's Chinese baos. I'll save the deets for their own review pages, but all of these eats were genuinely delicious. Point is, there's plenty of dishes to explore at this wonderful food hall. Stop on in anytime, as they are open daily!
google avatar

Yelp
The Crossroads Collective on the East Side is great for a variety of choices and a quick in and out. I've dined or carried out many times and really enjoy the variety. Frida for soups & sandwiches, Egg & Flour for handmade pasta, Heaven's Table BBQ (in the back), Triciclo Peru for empanadas, and the Pharmacy serves up coffee drinks, beer, and a full bar. This was definitely needed on the East Side!
google avatar

Sydney B.

Yelp
Never been to a place like this, but basically, it's a "food court" type of building where you can order your food from any of the restaurants on your phone, and they bring it to your table. Super cool concept. I wasn't very hungry, so I just got this desert, which was called a strawberry bao bun. Not my cup of tea. The "bao" which was just a donut type of bread was hard and COVERED in sugar. May come back again to maybe try the pasta.
google avatar

Hazel G.

Yelp
I can only vouch for the creamy pesto with noodles and chicken. It tasted good, but it was missing the creamy pesto, so if you want creamy pesto, this is not the place to get it.
google avatar

David O.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in for lunch. I think this is a nice concept where you can order from different restaurants, especially when my wife and I may have extremely different tastes in mind. I had taco which were, honestly, some of the best I have ever had. My wife got a huge bowl of ramen. Very easy to order online right from our table and food came to us in a reasonable time.
google avatar

Lisa A.

Yelp
It's a food mall! This is a great use of this space which has been (as many eastsiders will remember) a rotation of unsuccessful restaurants over the years. We went during pandemic times so seats were spread out. Everyone was pretty respectful though and the place was busy without feeling overly full. Speaking of overly full...my biggest issue was where to eat! There was egg & flour, a peruvian restaurant ( sorry, can't remember the name), heavens gate bbq and "the pharmacy" a bar serving both alcoholic and non alcoholic concoctions that, while not all the restaurants in the place, where the particular places that caught my eye. We ordered and got a buzzer to go pick up our food. My pizza was delicious! Loved this concept and can't wait to return.
google avatar

Yelp
Great collection of small eateries with a central dining area. Wide assortment of tasty ethnic cuisines. It's like a collection of permanently parked upscale food trucks. Recommend
google avatar

Yelp
I've been on the Collective once or twice but not for drinks. Frida has an amazing tomato bisque and grilled cheese which was perfect one day when I was freezing. But today I decided to venture to the Pharmacy. They have a small but nice selection of local beers as well as hard selter. Several cocktails and wines round out the menu. But they also have a coffee side with iced coffee, americano, espresso, etc. The staff is friendly and greeted me immediately. I appreciate their kindness.
google avatar

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
I LOVE this place! I came with some girlfriends for dinner to try something new and it was such a fun experience with all the different options. For dinner, we opted for egg and flour which was great and had amazing customer service when the wait was longer than expected. For drinks, the pharmacy is a must! They have so many unique cocktail options and the staff was so welcoming. COVID Precautions: Handled so well!! There's tons of signage regarding mask requirements, all staff was wearing the proper PPE, and each table is equipped with clean/dirty signage so patrons and staff know when it's ready to go.
google avatar

Angie O.

Yelp
What an interesting concept! It's like a food court, but not in a mall, and you can get pretty much anything you've ever wanted. Pizza? CHECK BBQ? CHECK Ice Cream? CHECK Empanadas? CHECK Beer? CHECK This space is so vastly different from the previous establishment here (RIP Replay). Plentiful indoor seating as well as outside tables. The cleanliness was outstanding - there were a few employees that were dedicated to just cleaning during my visit. I stopped by early afternoon on a weekday and it was fairly busy with the lunch crowd. I believe every seat at the "bar" stop was taken. Due to a crazy amount of construction in the area, parking was extremely limited. I wish this would have been around years ago, when North Avenue was a lively, go-to destination for shenanigans. I will definitely be back to try some of the other restaurants. My advice: go hungry and bring some friends!
google avatar

AJ B.

Yelp
Came to Crossroads for a Nashville hot chicken sandwich from HotWax. The person taking orders was extremely friendly. The sandwich was decent but not anything special. A little "over-done".
google avatar

Lico J.

Yelp
I like here a lot now! My boyfriend and I went to Heavens Table BBQ for our anniversary dinner and the whole experience was very absolutely delightful. The owner & executive chef at Heavens Table is so friendly and he shared a few slices of beef brisket that were just out of the grill with us while working on our four meat plate. Every mouthful of meat is like a dream. Nice proportion of fat with crispy skin and juicy lean meat. The lean part of meat is very tender but keeps the nice little chewy texture and packed with flavors. The spicy cornbread is delicious. The cole slaw is refreshing, while the mac n cheese is just so so. We were so full at the end that we could not finish all the meat and really wish we could have picked two cole slaw as sides lol! The butternut squash soup at Frida tastes as good as it looks! The bread that comes with the soup is nicely toasted and very soft. The Spartichoke crepe that I got during my second visit to Beerline Cafe is absolutely delicious. The Shawarma sandwich is one of my favorites too.

Yelp
What a fitting name for the foodiest food Hall in town! This corner of the street adjacent to Oriental theatre is at an optimal location juxtaposed with North Ave shenanigans and nifty stores. Let this hall make your hangry decisions even harder! This hall has a good variety of food and drink vendors. As soon as I saw the butternut squash soup bowl Of the day, I was sold as I didn't want to spend any more time deciding where to eat because all the others looked good! Modern seating area, I would recommend spotting for seats on a busy day, aka the weekend. The windows provide ample lighting to leave room for the people-watching imagination. Free water and reusable cups in case you wanted to opt out of the sugary, flavors, alcoholic, and/or prepped drinks.

Yelp
I typically review the businesses inside Crossroads Collective, but I wouldn't be able to support those businesses if there wasn't a Crossroads Collective. Crossroads Collective identifies as a food hall. There are currently 8 food related businesses, I believe, including a premium ice cream vendor, Scratch. Egg & Flour Pasta and Heavens Table (Smoked) BBQ are my primary go-to's, and some of the food stalls change in occupancy, but there are plenty of great options! Crossroads Collective also features a full bar, as well as a speakeasy called Shanghai. There is plenty of apace for dining in, as well as a patio, but they also offer carry-out amd curbside pickup. If you haven't visited yet, you're missing out! Go there hungry and take friends so you can share dishes and try more options.
google avatar

Allison F.

Yelp
Q: When you're in the mood for falafel, but your friend wants BBQ, and your other friend wants tacos, where do you turn? A: Crossroads Collective. It's the local food court that will put any mall to shame. There's a nice representation of MKE food businesses as well as variety. Everyone will find something to happily devour no matter what they're in the mood for.

Yelp
I have been meaning to check out Crossroads for awhile now but finally made it today. It's an overcast Sunday afternoon and there wasn't a big crowd, so long lines for the vendors weren't a problem, but I did notice the space was small. Maybe that's part of the whole food-hall concept, but I don't know. I could see them getting really packed at lunch. Getting multiple food vendors in the same place is a nifty concept, but of course it only works if the food is good, so I had to check that out. I had a sandwich and soup combo from Frida. I got the shrimp roll and the mushroom bisque that was a daily special and not on the regular menu. The shrimp roll was tasty but the mayo in the shrimp salad made kind of a mess. The shrimp were big and there were plenty of them, though. But the winner in my eyes was the soup. It had some depth of flavor and did not remind me in the slightest of mushroom soup from a can. It was probably helped by the croutons and scallions it was topped with. If you get the soup and sandwich you can choose either chips or the focaccia that comes with the soup. I got the bread and regret nothing. It was great for soaking up the soup. If I go back I may try the schwarma from Felafel Guys or the barbecue at Heaven's Table, though the latter's price point makes more sense for 2 or more people than one. The plates I saw other people get from those places sure looked delicious. I was reasonably full from my meal, but I still checked out Scratch ice cream and it was great. They let me sample a few flavors and I ended up getting a scoop of Door county cherry and one of caramel with brownie because I couldn't choose just one. I don't even have the biggest sweet tooth but I would recommend trying them. There's a bar too selling cocktails and with a few beers on tap as well. Prices are on par for the "new" North Avenue area-not super high but not cheap either. There's a raw bar too but it didn't seem to be open today. I recommend checking Crossroads out. I think there's something there that will appeal to a lot of people. If the North Ave area is transforming this seems to be a positive addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp
Delivery to the rescue I've stopped at crossroads before but it's super pain now to head out for covid lunches so their delivery has really saved the day. I've done delivery with them a few times now and it's top notch as they handle it themselves without the use of other drivers. The online ordering system is great and I like that you can pick from any of the vendors at the food hall (+1 for ice cream) to bundle up on goods. Pricing is reasonable and delivery is fast. I'm truly a fan.

Yelp
This is such a convenient spot to grab food and dine-in safely. I love that they have so many stellar, local options for food and drinks (coffee, beer, wine). My husband was able to eat a Banh Mi while I enjoyed delicious pasta from Egg & Flour. We chose to dine-in and noticed they were doing a great job of cleaning tables and disinfecting. This will be definitely go to spot in this area, especially since they're adding another local spot.

Yelp
This is a cool concept. I've seen it before in other Cities and I think it's really neat. there's a pizza booth here that is absolute FIRE . The crust is think, crispy with a soft middle. The cheese is probably so bomb because well it's Wisconsin. I had mushroom pizza which I discovered was black truffle after opening the box and getting a whiff of that truffley essence. No pic because I inhaled the slice. Haha! Check this place out and tray another spot inside and tell us about it !

Yelp
The bar is great and the variety of top-notch food is amazing. The outdoor seating is really nice. We eat here often!

Yelp
I finally got into the crossroads collective and loved it! there are so many different types of cuisine to pick from. I settled on the Honeypie one and I am so glad I did. The waiter was friendly, helpful, and attentive. She gave me just the advice I needed to help me order. They also had some fun samples out which were nice to try. I can't wait to get back and try more! The idea of this was great and I think they picked the perfect area to help build up North Avenue again!

Yelp
Saw Kawa now at Collective due to fire on Murray - more of a kiosk set up - but still requesting a tips for no service - $18.00 roll tasted like grocery store sushi. Not sure I understand why - not the same as on Murray but same prices for no service and degraded quality. Basically take out place which is fine but prices and quality are not right.

Yelp
I've wanted to check out the Crossroads Collective for AGES and finally had the chance today. Well worth the trip and paying for parking. Located on the East Side on North Ave, the Crossroads Collective is a group of restaurants under the same roof. It has a set-up similar to a public market, with different restaurant options from falafel to pasta to BBQ and more. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and it has great food and drink options. Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
I visited Crossroads Collective for the first time on a Saturday late afternoon with a group of four. As it was between lunch and dinner, we had no trouble ordering and our food was received in a timely fashion. The space is very nice; modern and a good set up with plenty of seating options, be it the bar at the location you're eating/drinking at or a table to share. The prices seemed reasonable, and the main reason we chose this was the options - it's great to have half a dozen or so vendors in the same space to choose from. The service was generally friendly, although the parking situation was dire (but hey, it's the East Side on a Saturday). I opted for Egg & Flour Pasta Bar, and felt my (Creste de Gallo - walnut basil pesto) was good but nothing to rave about; the pasta was a little undercooked for my taste but the pesto that was on it was good. One of our dining companions absolutely did not like their sandwich or soup though; they ordered the BLT, which I also found a little weird...bacon, American cheese, and a spring mix-esque purple-y green lettuce that didn't looked like it belonged on a sandwich. They ended up not being able to eat it and ordered from Heaven's Table BBQ to go as we were leaving, which looked really good. I would recommend Crossroads Collective if you're dining with a group and can't decide on what kind of food you'd like, or would like multiple options conveniently in one location. I would like to go back and check out the raw bar for seafood and Small Pie some time.

Yelp
So grateful for this addition to the east side! Crossroads is a great stop for a quick bite over the lunch hour or dinner before a movie, after yoga, or on any old weeknight. My husband and I have often (probably too often) used it as our "I'm too tired to cook dinner" spot. There is a really great mix of vendors, including pasta, sandwiches, barbecue, falafel, vegetarian focused faire, and dessert. All tied together with a bar in the middle. The only warning I will give is to be aware of events going on at the Oriental. If its a member screening night or the film fest, the crowds are usually much higher at Crossroads, making it fairly difficult to find a place to sit.

Yelp
There are several places where you can get coffee, fresh or pizza. A few sites outside as well. Nice place, but nothing specific. Also, they suppose to have a free Wi-Fi, but it is hard to get the password.

Yelp
We stopped in during the week during dinner hours before a film, and I was surprised how empty it was (in a good way). I wanted to try something new and have a bit more variety, so I opted for stopping at Beerline Cafe and Laughing Taco. From Beerline Cafe, I got the small vegan nachos--those alone would've been enough for a meal! Although I'm not a vegan, I wanted to give it a try and was impressed at the queso on top; it really did taste like real cheese and while not gooey, it was an excellent plate of nachos that I would order again. Toppings were plenty and varied and I was so satisfied. From Laughing Taco, I got a pirata taco. It was a little flour tortilla with cheese inside, then I got pastor filling. The hot sauce, by the way, is HOT if you decide to add it on, which I didn't expect as someone with relatively decent spice tolerance! I waited too long to eat mine because by the time I did, my cheese was cold, but the savory, layered flavors were a different, enjoyable take on a traditional taco. Would recommend both places!

Yelp
What an awesome addition to the East Side! Crossroads Collective is home to Beerline Cafe, Falafel Guys, Frida, Heaven's Table BBQ, Laughing Taco, Scratch Ice Cream and of course a bar is in there too. There are murals created by local artists, a vintage cash register and a lot of seating. There is also a speakeasy in alley, look for the yellow S. I went here on a Tuesday around 6:30 and it was not very crowded. Service was quick and everyone who was working was helpful with suggestions. I ended up trying Laughing Taco and Heaven's Table BBQ as I had never had them before. Both were delectable! I cannot wait to go back and try more soon. This will be such a good option when I'm with people and we all cannot decide on what we want to eat, my life just got a lot easier! There is definitely something for everyone here! Happy to have Crossroads Collective in my neighborhood!

Yelp
I'm still loving Crossroads as a go-to pandemic delivery option! Lately I've especially been enjoying the small plates from Mina. They have a Russia Egg small plate on offer and it's one of the best things I've eaten in a long time! I think they change these up every once in a while, so jump on this one if you can. Their winter citrus salad is also fantastic and a great side for anything else you're eating.

Yelp
So many wonderful food options in one place!! We had empanadas- yum. Love the outdoor option, too. This will be a meet up place from now on.
