Crotto Valtellina

Food was super in terms of taste, quality and presentation. Service was good too, atmosphere can be improved as it was a little too crowded and hard to find a decent place.

I've been to Crotto Valtellina twice and well, it never disappoints me! The food is excellent (make sure you try Pizzoccheri and get a second round of it) and the atmosphere amazing. They always treat with lots of care and make sure everything is alright. Furthermore, the location is BEAUTIFUL! No words to describe it. I will be back!

Quite seldom I reward 5 stars but this time I cannot do anything else. This restaurant is able to merge traditional food with modern times. Location is excellent,a few hundred meters from motorway to/from Milano. Wide devoted parking available right by the building of the restaurant,an ancient building right on the way (only small detail not pleasant,but once upon a time the traditional inn was always on the main street). Food is excellent. Service is excellent as well. Wine choice is wide & pleasant. Prices are absolutely reasonable,even surprisingly low compared with the wide & excellent choice of foods. Ambience is warm, elegant and at the same time respectful of the old building. Absolutely worth a visit.

Newly renovated guest rooms. Kitchen still outstanding with local dishes. Try the dried meat bresaola or fried cheese with green salad chicorino! Risotto is also very good but very rich with cheese. All in all high five for a very nice evening! One piece of advise. Parking is limited. Perhaps you can find a space above the cave where a second parking lot is. Reservation highly advised!

Traditional Valtellinesan restaurant. Beautiful location and elaborated dishes. We particularly enjoyed the pizzoccheri. Quite expensive, but what you pay is what you get.

We dined at the Crotto Valtellina restaurant on the occasion of our twentieth anniversary, which coincidentally coincided with the fiftieth anniversary of the restaurant’s founding. We were able to enjoy a special menu created by chefs Valbuzzi, Ferrari, and Fumagalli, who retraced the steps of their history through a series of dishes masterfully executed in terms of ingredient selection, taste, and balance. The warm and friendly atmosphere, combined with the chefs' friendliness as they presented their creations, allowed us to celebrate such a special occasion in the best possible way. Highly recommended restaurant.

OMG!!! Amazing food and service. The best meal I had, while in Italy for a week. Try the blueberry grappa as a way to end your meal. You won't ever regret going here. It's in a cave in Northern Italy.
