Crown & Anchor

We visited Crown & Anchor last night (a Monday) and were surprised to find it absolutely packed—turns out it was trivia night, which made for a fun and lively atmosphere. We ended up sitting outside, which was perfect for us and offered a more relaxed vibe. The food was fantastic. I had the Wagyu burger with fries, and I’m honestly still dreaming about it. The fries came with a spicy mayo dip that our wonderful server recommended—and wow, what a combo. Every bite was indulgent and satisfying. Speaking of service, our server truly made the evening memorable. She was a friendly and engaging Filipina who not only made great food and drink suggestions but also took the time to chat and recommend some great places to visit during our stay. Her warmth and energy really elevated the entire experience. To finish, we tried the chocolate chip cookie with chocolate ice cream—another excellent recommendation. It was rich, gooey, and perfectly paired with the ice cream. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back for more. Highly recommend Crown & Anchor to anyone looking for great food, a lively setting, and standout service. I’ll definitely be returning!

Crown and Anchor is located at the Hamilton Princess Beach Club. My husband and I dined here for our anniversary and the meal was phenomenal! I had the leg of lamb and my husband tried the Bermudian fish sandwich which is served on raisin bread. We chose to sit outside and the views were gorgeous. A live band played the night we were there and it helped set the relaxing mood. Our waiter did a good job attending to our needs. The entire experience was great.

If you're looking for a delicious Sunday roast, this is the place to go! The steak was absolutely fantastic, and the portion was huge – definitely a meal worth every bite. For dessert, the crème brûlée is a must-try; it was the perfect ending to a great meal. Our server, Selva, made the experience even better with excellent service and spot-on recommendations. Highly recommend this spot for a tasty and memorable meal!

I’m genuinely shocked by the new chef’s so-called “pizza” for kids. Even my 6-year-old daughter couldn’t get full on it. Calling it a pizza is a stretch; it’s more like a tiny flat pita with barely any toppings. See my fingers in comparison to the tiny pizza. They should be ashamed to serve something so inadequate for children. On a positive note, the new items on the menu have been mostly good, especially the falafel plate, which is flavorful and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the steak cuts continue to disappoint — they’re consistently loaded with too much fat. The menu has potential, but the kids’ pizza is a huge miss and the steak needs serious improvement. The hostess is typically out to lunch with how long everything takes her, not to mention my kids did say she was a tad too strict when they asked for colouring pages.

I got the fish sandwich and it did NOT disappoint! I asked for wheat bread instead of raisin bread. It was huge and very delicious. I had a mimosa and asked to add mango puree... It was so nice I had to do it twice. I sat outside where there was a beautiful view of the water. It was quiet and serene. The service was great!

I ate at the Crown and Anchor with my family and had an exceptional experience. Our server Johnny made sure my allergies were one of their top concerns and had Chef Anthony speak to me to make sure that they could accommodate me safely. I have allergies to eggs, nuts, and shellfish therefore it can be hard to avoid cross contamination. However, they have a rigorous protocol for people with food allergies including separate cooking utensils for people with food allergies. I could not recommend this restaurant enough! I felt safe while also having delicious food (this doesn’t happen often)! Also the mushroom risotto, fish sandwich, and handshakes colada was FANTASTIC!! Don’t skip out on this place!

I had a Black Angus beef burger—though in hindsight, the rare doneness I chose might not have been the best fit for this dish. That said, they served exactly what I asked for. Impeccable service, easily the restaurant’s strongest point. Prices? The usual Bermuda insanity: $30 for the burger, $10 for water, plus a mandatory 17% gratuity and the morally inescapable tip. Total: $50.”

Went for afternoon tea with champagne. Our waiter was lovely and the food was very tasty as was the champagne and tea. Also went for dinner on a separate occasion and really enjoyed the fish tacos and peanut butter chocolate mousse! (Cocktail pictured is the pink lemonade one)
