This place is great. I had to come on here to give a review due to the fact that this lady named Jay bee was so rude and very nasty to the guy behind the counter it was crazy. Those guys are the best for having the patience and understanding of this lady she was so nasty to them. Love me some crown heights pizza 🍕

I absolutely adore Crown Heights Pizza! My favorite choice is their classic cheese and pepperoni pizza. On November 4, 2023, I ordered an 18" whole pepperoni pizza, and the total cost came to $32 after tax. The crust is chewy and perfectly seasoned, and I particularly appreciate its thinness. I rarely find burnt crust here. Plus, there's a charming and almost romantic ambiance when you dine outside the store at night. They also offer a great variety of drink options.

Fresh pizza! Great ingredients and really fun, yummy and classic pizzas. Relaxing and easy too. Totally recommend this place. I love sauce and they have a vodka AND marinara sauce slice that was crazy good. Their marinara was chunky and definitely homemade. SO YUMMY!!

The vegetarian pizza was very hearty with quality vegetables. The pizza itself is ok - I prefer a sweeter sauce and theirs is savory.

Pizza is great by the slice great environment music does have curse words so mind the kiddos $6 a slice

The vibe was amazing when we walked in, greeted with Love, we ordered food…..probably more than we should because every slice looked absolutely amazing! Got our Pizza and Dined In. Great Beverage selections! The music was great. Definitely stopping back in!!

Updated Jan 2024: I’m docking one star because the pricing on their website is wrong, their real pricing is about $8-$10 higher per pie. They really need to update that. That said, I still think they’re the best casual slice in the neighborhood. — Easily the best pizza in all of Crown Heights. No bells and whistles - this is the quintessential NYC pizza joint you’ve been searching for, but amped up several notches because the quality and consistency is just excellent. Have been here multiple times - you can never go wrong with a classic cheese slice or a grandma slice. I recently enjoyed a slice of the Sicilian (pictured) for lunch. The guys that work here are friendly, they’ve got outdoor seating and fast delivery, the price is right — what’s not to love? Do yourself a favor and go get a slice from Crown, you’ll be happy you did.

Delicious pizza and great experience with the staff. Loved sitting outside the front and enjoying our slices. Would definitely recommend!

This is my spot!!!!!! I was super. I see to do this review for a long time, but this spot is on Franklin... I always order a Pepperoni cause this pizza goes in the bank toasted extra with some banana peppers talk me BABY!!!!!! LOL Anyways, this is the spot after drinking after various bars on the block, especially my favorite DRINK LOUNGE.

Visiting from the west coast and ran into this pizza shop while on our walk. The pizza was amazing and the guys working there today were even better. Truly went above, offering to help take our pictures. Also they have a large variety of beverages from sodas, juices, beer, and wine. Would 100% recommend and visit again in the future.

The pizza is great. I wish I could rate this spot higher. There's very limited seating inside and the owner doesn't seem to mind his neighbors using that seating area to roll blunts in his storefront window rather than using that seating for actual customers.

Great pizza! Love the options. $6 a slice is a bit pricey, but the slices are huge! The employees are nice and the space inside is clean. There isn't much to say but it is definitely one of the better spots in this area!

Great cheese quality & thickness, crust baked to perfection & sauce is tangy but not acidic. Very friendly and patient service. For a 4$ slice this lives up. This would be great vibes in the summer- some nice seating outside would be a hit! I'll be back.

Friendly service great ingredients. They even have gluten free and cauliflower crust pizza. I usually stick to what I know, basic cheese but there it's so many options . Last night my family and I got the mushroom with white wine and lemon zest and the original pepperoni. Chefs kiss

Good pizza, but becoming less consistent + repeated delivery shenanigans is losing them a weekly customer. I've been ordering from here almost every week for a year. The last few months, they keep listing false delivery estimates on Slice (30-45 min) and then as soon as the order is in, it becomes an hour or an hour and a half. I get sometimes shops get busy, but this has happened almost every. single. time. in the last few months, and tonight was the last straw when a pie I ordered before 6pm took over an hour and a half. Maybe if the guy seemed apologetic or something on the phone I'd be less inclined to post this complaint but someone should hold them accountable if the delivery app won't.

There is such a nasty attitude here, it makes it hard to justify going there. the pizza is pretty good, but they have a menu with prices posted when you order then find out they want to charge you more (almost 2x) than what their published prices are. They know the site prices are wrong, but I guess they don't know how to change them. I was prepared to walk out when told of the higher prices and ended up paying the lower price, but it shouldn't have to be that way. I think I'm taking my next pizza order to a new place called Spinners Pizza as I've had it with the unprofessional service found at Crown Heights Pizza.

Amazing pizza, and good people. This is a charming spot in the neighborhood with solid outdoor seating, and a really great grandma pizza. Love it.

Expensive, but delicious. Nice thin, slightly charred crust, fresh ingredients. Lots of choices. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. It's a small place, so plan to eat at outdoor tables or take away. Be warned: My last large pizza with two toppings was nearly $40.

Had a really nice experience here. Came with a friend and we got two well-portioned slices for about $7.50. Pizza was fresh and came out hot. We sat outside and both liked the pizza! I liked the margherita and the sauce had a nice tomato-y tang. The person working there was really friendly and they have a decent bathroom too.

The Food here is really good with a variety of different choices of food. The service is good the workers here are patient,Kind and are the best people you'll ever meet. The place is not always crowded which is good and there are seatings indoor and out door which is really good if you Prefer to be out side or indoors.Overall this place Is really great!!!

I think this is my new favorite slice pizza spot in the neighborhood. The service is friendly and you can definitely tell they are authentic New Yorkers. The grandma slice is excellent, and I know I'll be coming back here over and over for it. Additionally, I had the beef patty with cheese inside and it was super tasty - a great addition to have both pizza and a patty at the same time! They've got a few tables outside, which is so nice for a slices place because you don't always get it. It's a nice, clean facility with some indoor seating as well and plenty of drink options. Already looking forward to going back!

I'd rate Crown Heights Pizza four and a half stars. We shared a NY style margherita slice and a Detroit style vodka slice. I thought the crust on the NY slice was a little soft and didn't have much crisp or char. The Detroit style crust was awesome. It was super crispy and crunchy. I'd highly recommend going with one of the Detroit style slices.

We just got in from Texas and the kids wanted pizza. The delivery time was between 30-40mins however it got here earlier than expected which was a blessing in itself. (Starving kids ) The pizza was amazing! It arrived hot and exactly as we ordered. This place won't disappoint.

Got takeout with friends at this location and it was such a great experience! We got the margarita pizza, one of the people mentioned it was such a beautiful restaurant. The tomato sauce on the pizza was delicious! Definitely would come back again to try their grandma slice and other selections

used to be my favorite pizza. tonight it took over 2 hours to deliver and they forgot a salad. I called to get reimbursed and they said it was not possible. good pizza, but bad service.

Solid new pizza spot. It's a great neighborhood slice joint, not necessarily destination-worthy pizza. Slices are super thin, some a little floppy, but great for a quick snack. Would come back to try the Grandma some time, as they only had round pies available today.

Really great experience! I dog walk nearby and always see the promotion for the $6 lunch special on the corner. It comes with two slices of cheese pizza and a can of soda, an amazing promotion if you ask me! Plus, the pizza is delicious. The staff was really friendly too. There are some seats outside for a sunny day, and you can count on Crown Heights Pizza to serve you all things pizza, garlic knots, Jamaican patties, and more. I would definitely come again! Listen. I am not a bad review person, this might be the first I have ever written. I used to work in food service including for a pizza place, so I get that it can be tough and crazy things happen that mess you up. But when I ordered from here off of Grubhub, the estimated delivery was 7:15 pm. As soon as I place the order, I get a text message saying the ETA has been changed to 8 pm. "Oh," I think, "They're slammed or something crazy has happened, I'll just cancel my order." I try calling them, 3 times, they never answer. I try going through Grubhub, and Grubhub tells me that the restaurant told them they had started making the food so they couldn't cancel and that despite the listed ETA it would actually be delivered at 7:30. I don't believe it, but what the hay, I take their word. Sure enough, no delivery at 7:30. In fact, no delivery ever, and when I call the restaurant again just to find out if I'm ever going to get my pizza I'm "placed on hold" indefinitely multiple times. Look when I did pizza I also did the classic leave the receiver off the hook so you don't get more calls for a few minutes so you can get caught up. But leaving someone hanging multiple times for more than 10 minutes is just rude. This whole dumb experience could have been avoided if the phone had been picked up at 6:30 when I saw the delivery time change and wanted to cancel my order. Instead I got the same result at 8:00, now just hungrier and crankier. Too bad because I hear the pizza is good.

ordered delivery via Slice Life. received one of the worst pizza's i've been served in NYC. the crust was nonexistent, and it tasted like a frozen pizza. look elsewhere for delivery.

Cauliflour crust pizza delivery! Fast and delicious! Good size. Hood sauce. Tastes like someone spent time making this sauce!

Crushed it for my daughter's birthday party in the park. Delivered at 11:30am. Grown ups inhaled the mushroom white pie.

Best pizza in the neighborhood, hands down. Haven't had a dud slice yet and they're as friendly as they come. Grab a slice and soda, or maybe the expanded selection of beers, and have a nice sit and snack outside.

I base my thoughts of a pizza shop on the cheese slice. It's foundational to any other kind of slice. The pizzas here are stale, served lukewarm, and with an attitude. The cheese slice here is about what you'd get at a dollar slice shop, masquerading as something more. The crust does not hold up - a classic tell of a bad dough recipe. Cheese and sauce are well balanced, but not really tasty. If you go in person, you may have an experience similar to mine -- the music was so loud, that despite being the only person in the shop, I had to shout to get the lady behind the counter to hear me. And despite being the only customer, she was acting as if in the weeds, rushing me for my order with an attitude.

This is my go to pizzeria joint in BK. Significantly tomato sauce are magic (!!!) so Grandma / Margherita is my favs...

I was so impressed by CHP , especially the sourdough crust that was tasty and crunchy. I had the vodka slice, Margherita , and fresh mushroom white wine slices. Their pizza will run with the best in Brooklyn and is far better than even some of the most popular joints. Price is in the money for how big the slices are.

Pizza taste definitely sucks . Cheap ingredients, bold taste pizza sauce and was sour . Probably too old . I wouldn't order from here again

One of my favorite places to grab a slice in Crown Heights. I'm a big fan of thin crust - and they have executed that well here. They have a wonderful $6 two slice and a soda deal as well for lunch. Worth a try if you're craving pizza in the area!

Was excited to stop here for a quick slice, living in crown heights for 20+ years and heard this was the best slice out there now. Rode my bike there from my house down the block and get stopped by who seems like the owner, bald guy and was talking to customers outside. He blatantly stops in front of my bike and demands I move to the sidewalk. I would understand if I was zipping by, I was probably going less than 5mph and coming to a stop to go in. I'm shocked seeing as everyone says the staff is nice but seems like the owner is a Karen. Didn't even request nicely and clearly was trying to get aggressive. Me being a person of color and knowing how the cops are, I chose to tell him to move out of my way and I left. This guy needs to focus on his business instead of trying to tell people where to ride. Know you place little boy, it's not your neighborhood, remember that.

This is seriously good pizza. I live in Prospect Heights and I've tried every place between here and Union St Pizza. Crown Heights Pizza has the best NYC slices out of any of them. The bottom of the crust is toasty and charred, the sauce is savory and not too sweet, the pepperoni curl up into little cups and brown at the edges. Great stuff!

I have to praise this place for two reasons. Firstly the pizza is great. We've tried both the pepperoni and the mushroom, and they've both been excellent. It's a recent addition to the neighborhood, perhaps the highlight of 2020! I'd also like to give them a shout out for resolving an issue with our order. When we received our delivery we noticed that we had the wrong pizza. We called to tell them, perhaps expecting a refund of the difference. However they immediately said that they'd make and send us the correct pizza. They didn't need to do this, and is an example of the great customer service we've continuously received from this place. I cannot recommend them highly enough, and wish them all the best during these trying times!

Some of the best pizza I've ever had! :) This place opened up in the middle of the pandemic, in late 2020, and it's amazing. The sole employee had a deep New York accent (yay authenticity! haha), the prices were criminally cheap (2 slices and a soda for just $10!), and both of my slices were absolutely delicious. The outside dining area with 4 small tables was a nice touch, too. Highly recommended if you're in or near the Brooklyn museum area. :)

Came in this place for a slice , and they took over 40 mins to make a regular cheese pizza. And when I received it it was doughy and not cooked in the middle. I got sick I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Don't go , I would give zero stars if I can..

This business is not just about money or pizza. I can tell they care about their customers and they truly do things the right way! I had a problem with my pizza and John was very accommodating and kind! I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area! - PS. Their margarita pizza is absolutely delicious.

The girl at the counter was rubbing her nose profusely before and while preparing my slice. She did not wash her hands, and her whole hand was on my plate while waiting for pizza to come out of the oven. Pizza underwhelming as well

Of the array of pizza shops in the area, nonetheless the city overall, Crown Heights Pizza is okay. They make very commendable slices, but there's something left to be desired. On paper, this place is fine: good cheese pull, good ingredients, good ambience. However, the components that make a good slice don't yield that synergy that makes a good NYC slice. Rating: 3.5 Stars.

I probably get two pizzas a week from here. Really good crew. Never have to wait more than five minutes even when they're busy. Food is always hot and fresh. Keep up the good work guys.

This place has pizza that's just ok. Brooklyn Pizza Crew on Nostrand is FAR superior. But pizza-wise, this place was serviceable, fine, overpriced. I had a bizarre experience in there the other day though. Came in at 7pm to get a plain slice and a root beer. First, I had to wait around for 5 minutes while they rearranged all of their dough containers before they served me (no one else was in there). Then I order, they say it's something like $4.94. I didn't have any cash on me (ever since COVID times I am not a big cash user). I ask if they can take my card, they say they have a $10 minimum. I ask if they take Apple Pay or Venmo or some other form of phone-based payment, they say the minimum for that is also $10. I told the guys that I had no cash, could they please just let me use credit. Then one of the guys tells me that there's an ATM at the bodega on the corner and I am "basically forcing" him to let me use a credit card. I told him I wasn't "forcing" him to do anything and left the pizza and root beer on the counter and walked out. Really a bizarre interaction thanks to their staff that's full of attitude. I'll never get pizza there again. I also think it's pretty telling that a bunch of these reviews are from "people who just got off the plane from Texas" and other assorted non-locals.

We've officially arrived! Crown Hieghts finally has our own local neighborhood pizza joint! And boy is it good. This is exactly what you'd want and expect in a local pizza shop -- pizza by the slice or by the whole pie, a healthy variety that changes every day, 2 friendly local guys working behind the counter and by the ovens who care about making delicious pizza, affordable prices and daily specials, a nice clean casual laidback and local atmosphere, and most importantly really GOOD pizza ! We stop by twice a week now. It's damn tasty. Let's give them the biz and make sure they stay around for a long time to come.

My wife and I tried out CH Pizza this weekend and it was amazing. The small Brooklyn hole-in-the-wall edgy vibe is very cool with a small crew serving up incredible hand-tossed pizzas. Since it was our first time trying the pizza we had to try the basic cheese pie with pepperoni and it was fantastic. I highly recommend folks give them a try - 3x the portions of Barboncino (a different vibe tho -- I'm also a barboncino fan) for the same price. Very well done pizza.
