Cru Catering was simply an amazing experience to be a part of for our wedding day. From the very onset, you are treated with respect and joy while figuring out everything from the budget to the menu. At the very beginning, Grant was accommodating, gracious, and gentle, but firm, with his suggestions/pairings/timings/etc. A true professional to say the bare minimum. From staffing, to service, to taste, there is no other comparison. I could genuinely go on and on about the food and how our guests were blown away but what should be highlighted is how so many of our guests had travelled to Charleston for our wedding and they were treated to Five-Star Cusinine without having to sacrifice a busy weekend night at a restaurant downtown. I HIGHLY recommend engaging with Cru to see if they fit your needs and getting a chance at the exquisite menu (my mouth is starting to water just thinking about it again lol).
In no certain order, the following items were just simply incredible and had a flavor that sticks with you: the crab cakes (duh), the mini tomato pies, the pork biscuits, the shrimp and grits, the beef tenderloin and accompanying sauces, the mac and cheese station, and the praline chicken is still getting praised from our guests to this day. The sauce on the chicken is just amazing and my father in law couldn't get over it.
A small but highly notable moment was when one of our set of guests had to step out to handle some matter with their children and Grant and his staff had specifically not only noticed, but saved them a plate of food knowing they'd return after service was over. It's touches like that that a bride and groom find out about later and are vindicated in their choice of caterer. Thank you so much Grant for everything and we couldn't have been happier with our food, we are pretty sure it was the highlight of the wedding!
