Very nice friendly server, Yerson. My friends and I went during Restaurant week. The salmon, asparagus, and brussel sprouts were delicious. I would give a five rating, however the restroom being centered right outside of the cook area was not appealing, provided a safety hazard. Lots of water on the floor leading to the restroom. Be very careful not to slip/fall.

I can’t here during restaurant month of my aunt for my birthday and we got the steak. I got the potstickers and then also a chocolate lava cake by my aunt got the crème brûlée. Personally, I would recommend the crème brûlée over the lava cake just because the crème brûlée included delicious raspberry sauce and the chocolate lava cake also includes a raspberry sauce. There’s not enough raspberry sauce for every single bite of chocolate lava cake cake, and the chocolate lava cake is extremely rich to the point you wish you had a glass of milk. It was steaks, considering you had planned you thought it would’ve been a little bit faster but overall the service was pretty solid and everybody was really nice there. We went on a slow night as well so there was only two or three other tables beside us.

My friend brought me to his go to place for great wine and food. I don't drink but I give this place 5 Stars! Sundays you get 1/3 of the bottle of wine off! I had the Chicken Piccata and my friend had the ribs. we also had the lobster pot stickers for our starter. The food is Amazing. Asia and Amanda made my first time experience one to remember. If you are looking for a cute place for a date night or just a nice dinner with Friends in West Village be sure to check this place out! I will be going back for sure!

Sat down and was handed menu’s with no explantation, after about 10 minutes we were explained the menu by a manager. Server came back and filled up waters and asked us if we wanted to get started with some glasses of wine and brought a 1oz cup of lobster bisque, for starters this was Valentine’s Day and there was a set menu, which is no problem but the options were not good. It was a 4 course meal for $65, starting with the lobster bisque, this was by far the worst lobster bisque I have ever had in my life, it was served in essentially a fancy shot glass that was extremely impractical to eat out of, second course was apps, this was probably the best part of the meal which isn’t saying much, my girlfriend got the lobster ravioli and she’s not a huge lobster fan and said she liked it, I got the crab cake which was an extremely small portion, quite tasteless but wasn’t awful. Next course was the entrees, I got the Chilean sea bass and my girlfriend got the filet. First off the Chilean sea bass was pretty awful but wasn't the worst thing I’ve ever had, very salty and nothing to it besides salt, my girlfriend was not asked how she would like her steak cooked so it was prepared rare (cold red center) which she usually eats medium rare, but being that the steak was completely unseasoned it was very hard for her to eat on top of the fact that the potato stack on the plate she said seems reheated before being served, neither of us finished our entrees. Lastly, the deserts, I got a raspberry brûlée which was not even bruleed on top and tasted very bad, she got a chocolate cake which was not the best but pretty underwhelming. On top of this our server was not very helpful and after taking our order didn’t say a word to us besides dropping the check. For $180 (without the 20% we left) we could have ate almost anywhere else that would’ve tasted better and been a better overall experience, we understand valentines was busy, but this was a extremely disappointing experience as we traveled in from out of town for dinner reservations.

My fiance and I had a great time eating here. The chocolate fondue was yummy and we enjoyed the charcuterie. The outside patio area was nice as well.

My boyfriend and I visited last night for the valentines day special. To start off, Zach, our server was 1 in a million, extremely attentive, hard working, kind, personable and all around above and beyond any standards we had. Thank you Zach for making our night easy and quite pleasant. The ambiance of the establishment is extremely comforting to walk into, dim, warm lighting with a very pleasing interior design. The courses that we had all shined in their own way, seasoned well and plated beautifully. Overall the food was a definite 8.5-9/10 and Service 11/10. Will be back for sure!

Google
Server had to ask our order twice and there were a bug and brown stuff in our drinks so it was not the best experience but the Black truffle pizza was so good. Wagyu meat ball and fig&gorgonzola bruschetta were also awesome as well.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my Lunch at Crú my friend and I came to the west village location and we had a lovely lunch. We opted to sit outside because it was such a pretty day, and our waitress was so pleasant. She even turned on the heaters so we wouldn't get too cold. This allowed us to enjoy the sunny weather without completely freezing into an ice cube. Granted, I'm from Illinois so I can typically handle cooler weather, but even I was surprised at how chilly it was in Texas. We ordered a margarita pizza and two sets of their bubbly flights which came with 2 different sparkling wines and a rosè. My favorite was the rosè. The pizza was $18 and the bubbly flights were $20 (we ordered two sets) so our whole total came out to be around $62 excluding our tip. Really relaxed spot to grab lunch/brunch. I really enjoyed my meal here. Happy we stumbled upon Crú!

Yelp
Highly recommended! I came here for dinner with family and this place did not disappoint! This is centrally located in Uptown in Dallas. Easy parking and very convenient. Great service and excellent food and ambiance, this place did not disappoint! Go Dallas!

Yelp
Zach was awesome. Informative, sweet, attentive. I would request him when I return. Parking: there is a parking garage available. I'm unsure if it's free or not. I parked alongside the street and walked. If you see Kendra Scott, it's on that same side. Cru is "ducked off" and you will have to walk to it. You can't park directly outside it. The perfect word to describe it is "quaint" My friend made a reservation for 2 @ 7:30. We were seated immediately. I ordered two flights and she ordered one. I'm a white wine girlie. I got a Riesling and Sauvignon blanc flight. She ordered the sexy red. Name is appetizing right ?? I swirled and smelled the aromas and got spot on which I would like and not like. Zach told us we could get 40% off of my favorite wine if I purchased before leaving. I ended up not. $50 original. I would return. It was a vibe for sure. And it's all about the company you keep.

Yelp
Three friends and I went to the Dallas location (west village) of Cru food and wine bar for restaurant week. Food: The food portions were small. That alone would have been fine, but all 4 of us ordered the molten chocolate cake, and the cakes were not cooked properly. The cakes were not hot - they were a little warmer than room temperature, so the insides were not melted, and the outside of the cakes were very dry. After leaving, my stomach hurt for hours. In comparison, I had the exact same meal at the Cru location in Allen about a week ago, and the cake was cooked properly, and the food did not make my stomach hurt. Service: Service was lacking and slow. There appeared to be only 2 servers working covering both the bar and dining area. There were 5 parties of 2-4 people dining including us. One of my party was out of water most of our 2 hour visit. I'd recommend keeping it simple and just ordering a charcuterie board and wine here or better yet, go to a different Cru location for better food and service.

Jeremy C.

Yelp
This is a very cute restaurant with great people, great wines, and great food! The happy hour is the way to go if you want to try a few different bites and have a glass of wine or two. We really enjoyed the meatballs and the margherita pizza. The waiter was great and let us try a few different wines before we settled on a bottle. I know it's a chain, but it doesn't feel like one at all! Will be back!

Claudia C.

Yelp
We stumbled into Crú after walking around the area looking for something to eat and drink. The inside is very cute, it's small so I recommend getting a reservation if you come closer to dinner but we went around 1pm and were able to get a seated right away. First off, I love that they offer a wide range of wine flights, the pours are heavy and you get a good taste of each wine. Our waiter was so good, she greeted us quickly and always was offering us refills when needed. We really enjoyed our time at Crú and will definitely be back!

Carissa L.

Yelp
Cru is the perfect place for a cute and intimate date night or day date! The space inside is small but really nice. We sat on the patio since the weather was really nice and it was a vibe as well. We ordered the Goat Cheese Beignets, which were really tasty and a nice savory/sweet contrast. I paired it with the Sauvignon Blanc flight and a glass of the Prosecco! Overall, I enjoyed the service, food that we got, and the ambiance. I will be back for sure!

Emily P.

Yelp
Small, intimate setting with an incredible wine selection and yummy bites. Definitely a go-to for a classy, casual drink with friends but private enough to have an intimate date and get to know someone. The location is great and West Village is always such a vibe. The service is always friendly, fun and happy to help you pick the best options.

Kim D.

Yelp
I went here with my best friend when we were having a friend date and we very much enjoyed ourselves. The decor is lovely and were it not so hot, the outdoor seating would be a nice choice. We sat insidecand split a wine flight, which we enjoyed. We also split the smoked salmon board and some goat cheese beignets. The salmon board was tasty, with a nice balance and variety of flavors. The beignets were the star here. The goat cheese was a nice combo with the drizzle of honey, and we were raving over these tasty cheese bombs. I would definitely show this place to my friends if we're in the area again

Vancy S.

Yelp
Haven't been to west village in a few years and came by on Friday evening. I was surprised by how empty it is. It use to be so full of life now barely any restaurants exist. We sat outside since the weather was nice. Our server was sweet and explained items she recommended. We had the bubbles flight with ahi tartare, margherita pizza, and fig and gorgonzola bruschetta. Overall everything was good the only thing was the fig could have used a lil more drizzle of balsamic it was salty. Great place to enjoy a date night and enjoy the wine selection.

Antonio Z.

Yelp
Grilled cheese w/ soup, jumbo seared scallops, and the filet mignon have been CONSISTENT in flavors since the last 10 times I've been here. I love this place. Great wines, ask for help like I did, the staff will gladly help you. The manager Andy has always been kind even before he was promoted. Their patio is great to sit at when the weather is nice. I would definitely consider having dinner with friends/family and then catching a movie literally steps away at Violet Crown.

Bridget B.

Yelp
Cru not only has a great ambiance but also has a great wine selection at a very reasonable cost! We went here as an end to date night, and it was truly a great finish to the night. My only reasoning in docking 1 star is that we made a reservation yet no one greeted us even though multiple staff members looked our way, so we sat at the bar where we were quickly provided menus. We ordered a red wine flight, white wine flight, and the fondue. All were delicious and their options can appease most palettes. I would warn that the fondue is slightly on the dark chocolate side, which i personally prefer, but know that some would like milk chocolate more. Overall, I will definitely be back and look forward to trying their appetizer & entree options next time!

Charity C.

Yelp
Brunch was underwhelming, service was mid. Idk wasn't impressed. The bread was wayy too hard, it was empty yet our server kept disappearing. I just wasn't feeling it at all.

James S.

Yelp
If you love small table bites, wine, and champagne, then this is the place for you. Located in a beautiful strip mall in West Village. Cru offers you a vast selection of wines and champagnes. Pair it with 1 of their 3 charcuterie boards or 1 of the many small bites. 10/10 would recommend. The service is exceptional as well.

Heather C.

Yelp
Aaron, the manager is absolutely wonderful. He went above and beyond. They are so lucky to have him! Thanks for making our visit so enjoyable!

Aerin K.

Yelp
Food: got the Misto Frito and it was cold, actually tasted like it just came out of the fridge. Service: Timely, but not very friendly or considerate. Ambiance: If you are sitting outside bring a jacket. The location is extremely windy and you will regret not having one. Also, hang onto your glass of wine because if and when it goes flying due to wind - the waitstaff will not offer to replace it - speaking from experience

Nia B.

Yelp
Happy I got to come in while I was visiting. We were even lucky enough to have a reservation at a time when the place was basically empty. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and super helpful. The wine and champagne flights have great selections for a reasonable price. I love that they give you your own cards with the details of your wine flight so you can basically have your own self lead tasting at your table. The food is prepared fresh and all pairs well with the various wines & champagne. There's bar seating as well. Parking is a bit hectic so it is easier to get dropped off rather than drive. Overall, great spot!

Lynley L.

Yelp
Occasion- Date night for a birthday dinner There was outdoor and indoor seating. We decided to sit inside. Great ambiance but the people we were sitting next to were incredibly loud so we had a hard time hearing ourselves. Once they left though, the rest of the night was very pleasant. Our server was very nice and the manager came by to check in. We got the short ribs and chicken saltimbocca. We got the Sardegna red wine. Everything was fantastic. We didn't quite make it for happy hour but it looks like there is $3 off the wine glasses and flights, and discounted appetizers.

Lady A.

Yelp
I have been to this establishment three different times in my life and I always do a wine flight. I have enjoyed the food and the wines that I have ordered each time and the service is pretty quick. There are days where you will need reservations and they can get crowded. They do have a nice outdoor seating if you'd like to eat outdoors and they have heaters if it's cold. The inside is also nice and romantic and has a low lighting. So be mindful if you have vision problems in that type of setting. The time spent waiting to be seated can be a little long and it's best to make reservations especially for the weekends.

Felicity H.

Yelp
The pizza is my favorite hands down And staff is so friendly and knowledgeable on all types of vines and pairings. Great place! My girl friends and I love it even my husband.

Kayla M.

Yelp
Time and time again I'm impressed with this wine bar! Perfect for a happy hour after work or night cap. Fun wine flights or enjoy by the glass. Love the classic ambiance or you can sit on their nice heated patio. The food is good too! Especially the pizza. Service is always great and helpful.

Thomas P.

Yelp
Was very disappointed. Everything was overpriced. I got two meatballs for 18 dollars. For 25 dollars you get the saddest charcuterie board . We had the lobster and shrimp wontons from Panda Express. I should have stopped there but I made the mistake of getting the filet mignon. Waitress was rushing us. Charged me because I asked for more bread the best thing was the wine though.

Leah R.

Yelp
Their food is absolutely delicious. I've been here many times and it a great local spot for amazing food. The meatballs are to die for and their wine flights are very reasonable priced!

Teyah S.

Yelp
My partner and I started our Valentine's Day weekend here last Friday and it was fantastic! CRU is a cozy, quaint wine bar that features an amazing selection of wine by the glass, bottle and flights. They also offer a solid selection of appetizers and entrees. We made reservations for 9pm and I'm glad we did because when we arrived, the place was pretty full. Also, we weren't sure if we were at the right entrance because the main door is somewhat off to the side of the bar. However, once inside, we were met by an extremely pleasant young man who took us to our table; booth seats on one side and standard seats on the other. The place is pretty small which I like but be prepared to be seated closely to other tables. A few moments later our waitress arrived. She was warm, friendly and very informative. We started with Wagyu Meatballs and the Charcuterie board. The meatballs were excellent..topped with just the right amount of sauce and accompanied with crispy rustic bread. The Charcuterie was the perfect blend of mild and savory. I especially enjoyed the manchego cheese. For sipping, we both started with Flight No5 which was a flight of bubbly. JCB No 69 Brit Rose is a winner! I then tried Flight No3. As a fan of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, Whitehaven is always great. But it was good to try Sauvignon Blanc's from other regions; Trinchero is fantastic! After our amazing apps and flights, we were actually pretty full and decided against dinner. However, we did want a little something sweet so we opted for a piece of the Molten Chocolate Lava Cake. It was extremely rich and dark. Maybe a bit too rich for me since I'm not really a dessert person. But all in all, still pretty tasty with the fresh whipped cream and raspberry sauce. We really enjoyed everything from the staff to the ambiance to the food. I think we found a new favorite and well definitely be back!

Mindy R.

Yelp
I just wanted to take the time to thank the welcoming staff at the Cru in plano for making my special occasion a tasty one. I look forward to returning for those steamed mussels.

Ashley K.

Yelp
5/5 stars for this restaurant - great food, service, & ambiance!!!! My friends and I had dinner reservations on a Friday evening for 7 pm but had to wait quite a bit to get a table inside. Although we waited a while, the staff were very kind to let us wait inside and the manager also gave us a complementary drink for waiting and continued to check in on us which really made a difference! Once we sat down, our server gave us time to look over the menu and gave us recommendations on food. I will say, it was probably one of the best service I've gotten at a restaurant & I really wish I could remember the waiter's name but he really made the night so enjoyable for my friends and me! Ordered a bunch of small plates, pizza, and dessert and each dish was packed with flavors and super tasty! They have a large wine selection and you can order a tasting course to try different kinds of wine. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a visit if you haven't already and make reservations ahead of time!

Shannon W.

Yelp
I appreciate the fact that aside from being able to drink all the wine you can purchase bottles for retail prices. I've only been here a few times but need to go back more often! It has all of my favorite things: wine and CHEESE

Jay B.

Yelp
Best mussels in town. Wine flights are a gem to find out which wine you like the best. Great happy hour menu. Cute patio area.

Don M.

Yelp
Incredible service from Matthew at the bar and Zac in the dining room. The Easter prix fixe was delicious and very reasonable priced. The lobster risotto and beignets and lamb were the tables favorite!

Ashley S.

Yelp
Excellent service. Their staff, namely the host went above and beyond to ensure I had a positive experience. The waiter was also very patient and thoughtful. It was a great ending to a chaotic week for me. Small gestures can go very far. Thank you.

Charmayne J.

Yelp
Went to Cru for Valentine's Day in West Village. I normally go to the one in Legacy, but haven't been back to that one since my awful experience. My experience here was great! The food was delish. Our waitress was phenomenal. My honey ordered champagne so he could surprise me with a wedding proposal and the restaurant comped the champagne for us! If I had one critique and it would have been minor, I just felt like the portions were a little small. Other than that, I enjoyed and will be back to this location.

Vinod G.

Yelp
This is a very quaint and small wine bar located in uptown. I took my wife and son for Mother's Day brunch. We had the prix fix menu which had a good variety of items. Avocado toast, Salmon, goat cheese beignets and several others. The wine selection is good, but not spectacular. Service was OK. Maybe just a one time visit to this place but not much more.

Stephen W.

Yelp
We had a very pleasant and enjoyable dinner here on a Sunday night. The restaurant was not very busy at all which is surprising considering how good the food is. The ambience is upscale modern and warm. The shrimp and lobster potstickers are really good, a bit of sweet from the seafood combined with a spicy sauce and a fresno chili pepper. I really like them. The classic cheese board was excellent, a very nice selection of cow milk cheeses combined with figs, pears, and apples. Very tasty. The wife got the meat board and it was good but not as good as at Toulouse. The one at Toulouse has more variety. I had a pear and gorgonzola pizza and liked it a lot. The crust is between thin and thick. It was a good pizza. Our server was helpful and efficient. She turned down the fan because the restaurant was freezing cold and blowing directly on us. The main reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because the soap dispenser in the men's room was empty which raises questions about sanitation for employees there. We look forward to our return.

Phyllis M.

Yelp
Great place to celebrate over light bites and wine flights! Service was great and got us paid out on time to catch our movie next door.

Meriem M.

Yelp
The food was perfect! Peter our server was very attentive. Good Sunday brunch spot for non-football fans. The chef is super dope! It was a great ambience too.

David M.

Yelp
The food is amazing!. Their Valentine's Day menu was perfect and 5 Star. The staff is really engaging. We totally enjoyed dinner and will recommend to all our friends.

Foodie W.

Yelp
Wine tasting was nice because I got to decide on a later glass. Apps are delicious! Especially the mussels and fig/Gorgonzola pizza.

Misty P.

Yelp
This is a really wonderful place that I have been enjoying for over a decade. The food is delicious and the wine list changes constantly so you are never bored. You also get excellent, well informed service on the wine. Jacob is fantastic and always knows what I will enjoy from the newest selections! Evan is a wonderful manager, one of the best I have seen over the last 12 years. P.S. yelp haters who whine about a wine bar not carrying hard liquor just make me tired; so annoying.

Stephen J.

Yelp
This place is amazing if you're a wine lover. They specialize in wine but don't let that fool you, they can make some mean dishes as well. I went there with a couple of friends and we sat at the bar. They weren't busy so I didn't have any problems with noise levels as others have commented on. The bar staff was super attentive and the others at the bar were friendly and were easy to talk to. We ordered the charcuterie board and the Lobster and Shrimp potstickers. Both were amazing and had tons of flavor. You can add on additional cheeses to your board so be sure to do so if you have a bigger party. For entree I got the London Broil with Frites. It was cooked perfectly to a medium as requested and the frites were done in Truffle oil so they were super delicious. Both were perfectly seasoned so no need for steak sauce or ketchup as the flavors really shown through. While we didn't do it this visit they do offer wine flights. Where you can pick your poison and try samplings of three different wines. These run about $12-18 but well worth it if you're trying to expand your wine collection/knowledge. Overall I highly recommend this place when you are just looking for a nice place to enjoy some wine.

Elliott F.

Yelp
The food is average. The wine flights are affordable. The service is 50/50 depending on who you get. I once sat at the bar for 10 minutes while the bartender only talked to one person and didn't serve anyone.

Heather R.

Yelp
5/5 in every way! I'm pretty shocked this establishment doesn't have at least 4/5 stars. I've been here several times and I always leave satisfied! Atmosphere: Cru is located in the heart of West Village, which is always a fun, fancy experience. Cru is a great choice after a day of shopping and exploring when you're ready to Wine down :) it's a smaller place but in my opinion it makes it more intimate. It's cozy and cute and the staff is great! Food/Wine: The food is pretty good and they don't skimp you on the portion sizes! The Steak Frites were very filling (I had food left over) and well flavored; seriously the truffle fries were to die for! My favorite part is easily the Wine Flights! I love being able to try multiple wines without committing to just one, and they give you that option! Did I mention you get a free entree for your birthday! :))

Joanna M.

Yelp
This is my second time to CRU in West Village. The only parking is in the main lot because there's only a few spots for street parking at night. My friend and I made a reservation; however, it wasn't too busy but it was nice because we can sit in a booth in the corner kind of all to ourselves. Thursdays is half of champagne, but we ended up getting two flights of red wine. We got the Cabernet flight as well as the Pinot noir flight, but we both love the cab flight more. The goat cheese beignets are to die for! Our waiter was extremely nice and made conversation with us and even help me out because I had recently gotten a ski accident and I had a nice conversation with my friend and I. My friend and I ordered pizzas-- I got the steak pizza and she got the Margherita, I should've just gotten the Margherita. Overall, my friend and I were just really enjoying our time and I didn't even get a picture of the pizzas. I would definitely come here again for A one night whether it be with friends or with coworkers, and I didn't even bring my parents here I think they'd really enjoy it!

Melody T.

Yelp
What a nice place. Great wine and service and a fun place to go for an after dinner experience. We tried a nice bottle and a flight along with some yummy dessert. Will be back!

Alexandria S.

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance was excellent. The waiter took his time explaining the wines and allowing my friends and I to taste a few before we found our perfect match.

Melody T.

Yelp
Hands down I'm in love with this Wine Bar!!!!! First off the atmosphere is beautiful. We came right at the time happy hours starts which was pretty cool because we got to see a few different changes in the restaurant. It seats for your choices of outside; which features heaters when it's cool outside, or you can sit half way inside/outside where the doors are open and you can catch a breeze, or a the bar!!! It's a tight space, perfectly cozy for those wanting to listen to light music that plays over the speakers!!! Our server Lo or Loe was soooooo nice!!!! You can get flights of wine here too!!!! They have a pretty cool HH menu too!!! The place reminds me of a little library but instead of books, it's wine!!!! Nice place for a first date too!!!! I'll for sure be back!

Haley S.

Yelp
I love Cru for their food and wine. It is always 10/10! Today I'm writing this review because of the SERVICE!! I had to sit outside in Texas summer because I didn't make a reservation on a busy night. My server made it great though! She checked on us constantly, had great suggestions, fixed our wobbly table and MORE! She truly made tonight great! Thanks Angeles!!

Lexi B.

Yelp
Loved this place. I came here for a first date and it was the perfect setting. It was quiet and had a romantic feel. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was so helpful and nice. He answered all my questions about wine and gave me recommendations on what to try. I went with his recommendation and tried the Killer Cabernet red wine flight. I loved it!! This place was the perfect setting to sit back and enjoy conversation. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Susan F.

Yelp
This restaurant is the reason they call it Love Filed and not like field. Most incredible wood grilled pizza I have ever had -- and the wine flights -- over the top!

Richa T.

Yelp
I love this amazing spot! Pros: + Cute date night spot + Plenty of Wien flights - you can try your hand at a few different parings if you're not sure what you want to try. + I love the Pinot Noir flight and the sexy reds + Great cheese flights - I recommend the international one Cons: - A little pricey - Limited patio space - Loud crowds
