The service was not very timely & I disliked the drink that was given(the server recommended cause my original choice was gone). And I was told I still had to pay for it even if they switched the drinks out. The Manager said she wouldn't remove it. It was my birthday celebration & was not having a good time in the corner of the small outside patio. Also, they came out and turned the music up on the small speaker above the door so loud we couldn't even order anything it was so loud.

Enjoyed a girls night out at Cru last weekend. We had a great time. Good music, cocktails (Traffic, the bartender did his thing), and service.

I have been to more than one Cru location and this one was by far the worst and to be honest, the only one where I’ve had a bad experience. If I could put zero stars I would. The customer service was horrible. My friends and I stood at the bar waiting while the bartender was on the phone. She never acknowledged us nor did she wait on us. To top it off we were the only people in there. The drink I had was horrible and the hookah was nasty. Also, we were definitely over charged. Hookah was $20, we each had one drink at $13 each(3 of us), the total came out to $90. The math didn’t math at all! -0/10, do not recommend.

Will never go here again! I’ve been to Cru in multiple cities and this was my worst experience. Went on a Friday evening. Was ignored at the bar while the bartender was on the phone. Waiter was busy eating and talking to coworkers at another table when we needed things. It was happy hour 7-10P and our hookah and drink was supposed to be 50 but they charged us 90. Will be disputing that ASAP. Hookah 2/10, drink 4/10

Loved the experience! Good hookah.. awesome food and prices.. a whole vibe.. GREAT music! I went real early.. 2:30 so there wasn't a crowd at all... and yet it was still a whole vibe..

Stopped in to purchase two drinks and was charged $63 for $13 drinks and one added shot. The drink was horrible and super sweet , made with cheap liquor. As if they tipped them selves 100% Never again I will take my coins elsewhere. We didn’t even drink our drinks because it was so sweet and nasty at the same time .

Came here on a Monday night and I’m happy I decided to come here. It got crowded quick but my friends and I sat outside. Outdoor had both high tables/stools and couches. The bathroom was also okay compared to other places. The server that showed us to our seats was just amazing. She was nice and welcoming (good videos). The server who actually took our order was okay. She did check on us frequently but her vibe/attitude was a little off (she probably was just having a bad day). The music was on point, a good balance of different genres. The drinks were pretty tasty and reasonable. They did however have a deal going on and in return you had the option to get a free shot OR drink but when I went to redeem it the bartender said it’s only for shots. If that’s the case they should update the sign because its gives us an option.

Lazy bartenders who will play on their phone in your face while you wait to be served, rude staff. This place wouldn’t be bad if they hired people who realized they were in the service industry and had some common sense and basic manners

Stopped in on Christmas Eve night cause literally nothing else was open. I had the lamb chops (huge), mash and mac & cheese. Everything was good but if you don't like a lot of seasoning in your mac, then this won't work for you. Drinks and hookah were good. Our bartender was a little standoff-ish at first, but later on she was really cool (Tay or Jay). Nice selection of music played... we stayed from 10:30p-2am just vibing. Cru was around the corner/walking distance from our hotel... so everything worked out perfect.

I had a great time at this bar. Be advised, this bar always MARY JANE to be smoked inside and you WILL smell upon leaving the establishment. Drinks are always good and strong here. This is a very small and narrow location. There is a single restroom for men and women and it's hardly clean but I understand that from people who are high and drunk. Service is slowwwww. Don't expect anything In a hurry. Music is always a vibe. They get great DJs to come play on the weekends. Hookahs everywhere so it gets pretty hot inside. I have only had food once and it was just ok and very cold. Houston has many other spots but my friends keep wanting to come here to I figured I would be honest about my review. If the service could get a little quicker and they could follow the rules on capacity for the size of the location, It would be more enjoyable. Yall definitely let too many people in this place.

Amazing food with a burst of taste and seasoning. Even though it was 10 minutes before they stopped serving food.

Came here after hubby b day dinner. We just wanted somewhere to chill for an hour then go home It's real chill but was also pop'n if that makes sense. We sat outside and it was loud as all get out! (Umm let me warn yall I'm in my 40's ) Our waitress turned down the speaker in the back so we could talk without yelling. The music was the latest and the best! The dj was working his skills cause he had us even hype. The couple we were with ordered drinks and loved them. Seems like a good vibe... we'd definitely return.

Came here for brunch and the food was good. The lamb chop ( dinner style) was good. We also ordered the mimosa tower, it was okay. The champagne was flat so it tasted like we were drinking juice but maybe if it wasn't flat I would have a better review for it. Still worth it if you have atleast 3-4 people drinking. I was told that this place pops at night but during the day it was real chill. Gave jungle vibes with the decorations and lightening. Will have to come back and try it out at night when the dj comes in.

Saturday July 6, 2024 I had a 2pm reservation that was set up about a couple on of weeks ago on Resy. On the day of one of the guests told me that Cru Lounge is closed and doesnt open until 4pm. I couldnt believe it because I was allowed to book at 2pm and also no one called me from the establishment about the reservation to let me know that this isnt a time that can be booked. I called the establishment someone a male answered the phone and confirmed that yes the establishment doesnt open until 4pm. I told him that I was able to book at online that time. He said he doesnt know why but they are not open. Horrible customer service. I was already parked and had others on their way to the establishment. Please update the Resvy times to book and have better over the phone customer service.

Cru has great food at late hours for the turn up party crowd!! Amazing music. Good hookah. And great drinks. I've never not had a great time when I can stay out past my bedtime!!!!

Nice vibes for a Saturday night free entrance 20$ valet but 22$ if your using cashapp .The uncleaned ac vents caught my attention , thats pretty much the only unsanitary thing ive seen , but shoutouts to the Dj. I ordered a side car wasnt strong however wanted dusse but change my mind when they told me $19 lmao ima baddie on a budget so this couviser for $16 gon have to do it. Ill be back

Came here on a Sunday. They open at four, we were there by 4:30. We ordered food and I ordered tacos. After a hour of waiting we checked with the waitress and she informed us that the cook never received our order and is now cooking it. We received the food and it was cold :/... The music 8/10 Food: 3/10 Customer Service: 7/10 Prices: 4/10

Located downtown. We didn't have a reservation but we were able to get bar seats. Oh yea, typical, you had to be ID'ed and checked, if you had a purse/bag. Guys patted. Anywho, the bar was perfectly fine. Everyone was real cool in there including the other patrons. The bartender and waitress were courteous and attentive. Jas (sp.) at the bar was great. We ordered a few drinks and hookah. Hookah was great. Came out really quick. Drinks also. I've only been to the Cru's in the Atl area and this was by far a better experience. Everything flowed smoothly. The spot was in a nice location too. "Some" of the spots around Atl are a bit suspect meaning I don't want to park my car there. And the spots are extremely small. IJS. To each it's own. The music was good here and the hype man, that's what I'll call him since he had a mic and walking around kept the vibes going. I would definitely be back if in the area.

Went to Cru for my birthday on a Thursday Night and it was really fun. Section was about $400 and included two bottles of choice + champagne and the name sign. The service was good the girls are always nice here. You can dress up or down for Cru. Each time I've been its always a good and chill time. Whether you get a section or not.

I had a really good time at the spot. I came here because a friend invited me out as they were celebrating H town Ciera's birthday. It was lit! Everybody was drunk . I'm not sure how a lot of those ladies made it home lol. The lighting there is green which was it an interesting ambiance. Hookahs, music and food were all super good. It's in a great location. They don't have a parking lot so you have to find parking in the streets, y'all know how downtown Houston is. But this is a really good venue that I will definitely be coming back to.

I went to Cru for the first time last Saturday and had a ball! My friend and I arrived shortly before 10:30pm, and by 11pm it was packed out. Thankfully, we were able to grab two bar seats where full service was available. The food, drinks, music, and overall vibe was great. And the hookah was probably some of the best I've had here in Houston. My friend ordered the wings and I had the fried lobster tail and fries. DELICIOUS! I was actually shocked by how flavorful the food was. The crowd was a little young for my preference, but it's a spot I'd return to for sure! Jasmine was our bartender and she was friendly, professional, and offered great service the entire night.

Gratuity is charged 18% regardless. Ain't worth it. Just move around. AND IT TAKE LONG AF !!!!

2021 was easily the best Cinco de Mayo celebration at CRU downtown Houston to date! I literally enjoyed the hookah varieties, $2 Casamigos, and taco specials all night. I appreciate the dedication of the staff and the DJ! A time was had.

CRU is a Vibe! excellent, hot food, strong drinks, good music and friend staff. You can be yourself at CRU. It's a no judgement zone. Take you time and chill with friends.

Service was crazy, waitresses gorgeous,music and vibe perfect. And the food?...........salmon was juicy, broccoli soft not mushy, and the mashed potatoes I would leave my house to get. Reece and Brooklyn in security kept me and the crew good. I'm DEFINITELY coming back

I came here since I use to frequent the one in Atlanta when I lived there. I've given this place SEVERAL tries and they absolutely suck. It's extremely too small and completely overpriced. Their service is TERRIBLE!!! The waitresses and bartenders are too busy doing their own hookah and chatting to even serve. NEVER AGAIN!

The first thing that threw me off, asking for my ID when there is a whole baby inside. Did the baby get carded? Sit at the bar and no one acknowledges that we're there. 2 people behind the bar and no one said nothing, not even hey I'll be right with you. Left after a couple of minutes. Hard to support businesses when they lack customer service

Pretty cool spot if you want to visit a nice, small lounge where it's more intimate. And when I say intimate I do mean it can get packed but sometimes that's the vibe people are going for. I've always had a good time here.

The first time I went would've gotten 3 stars They are small bathroom didn't lock . Lamb was decent . Sencond time gets a 0 star review The bouncer was rude (big black guy) They have an unknown dress code My fiancé and I were not let in because I had on slides and he had on a white tee. That wasn't even undershirt quality . Mind you he wore a white tee and I wore a different pair of slides the first time and was let in Bouncer proceeded to let someone in with a white shirt after us and when i addressed him about it and looked in the window he flashed his flashlight in my face and told me to move from the window .

i spent the eve of my 25th birthday here!! :)) came on a monday night & was greeted by the hostess. this is a cute little hookah lounge in the downtown area. they play more modern day hip hop & r&b music, so great vibes for those who consume those genres. we started off the night with fruity alcohol beverages, the lemonade infused drinks were recommended & i ordered the mango--amazing (especially for those who like fruity drinks) for my entree i ordered the lamb chops & garlic parmesan wings, the lamb fell right off the bone & was sautéed in a sweeter sauce that tasted house made. portion size was perfect & not too hefty. the wings were decent but didn't stand out too much to me! definitely a great place to eat, drink, smoke hookah & listen to music!! also really cute ambience with neon green lights & selfie station! definitely a cute spot for groups of friends

Service was nice! The ambiance is fire! If your looking for more of a lounge environment go straight to the back but if you are looking for more of a club scene stay in the front. It's a bit cramped on the inside but the vibes and music are there!

Cru is definitely a very chill place. They have DJs that come in. The only time I have came was on Fridays. My favorite DJ comes that night. Ask for a waitress name Tori. She's the absolute best with A-1 customer service for sure and truth be told, she is THE sweetest there. It's very laid-back. They have hookah and they have food. I've tried their food before and it's actually pretty good; fried rice it was so good and their French fries. It's pretty cool spot to go to pregame before you venture out for sure, or if you just like a chill place with some hip-hop, this is a nice place to go to. The ambience tends to turn up a notch after 11 PM I noticed, Fridays though.

So you spend almost 50$ and can't even get regular tap water with ice to drink Is a bit crazy to me lets not forget to mention i tipped additional8$ on top of the grat fee like a dummy. So my experience was definitely a 1 out 5. Guess I'll come back one day and try again. Oh and I'll make sure to either bring a bottle of water or just come hydrated.

Ugh I did not want to leave this review but this is the 2nd time this has happened to me. So here it goes: Good stuff: Me and my friends go to Cru all the time & it's always a vibe. We buy bottles, hookah, The music is good, the food is amazing. The DJs are always good (especially Kelz). It's free to get in and the tables/ sections are free, you just have to reserve it. Bad stuff: about a month ago I made a reservation for my bf's birthday. We were about 5 mins outside of the 15 min grace period and they told us that they gave our reservation to someone else (which, ok cool. We will take our L) well it was other empty tables who missed their grace period & they didn't want to give us those tables, but gave it to guys that walked in. (I'm assuming bc they thought they were going to spend a lot of money & they didn't) we ended up in a friend's section who had to buy a bottle to get it (even though sections are free). FF to tonight, we walked in at about 9:30 it was dang near empty. We had the drinks flowing, hookah going, food ordered. At 10:50, the waitress told us she had a reservation at 11 so we were gonna have to leave. We asked if her guests weren't there by the end of the grace period, could we stay bc we were still eating and drinking. She told us there was no grace period and they hold tables until the party comes (a lie according to what they said before) but that we "could see" what happens... we continued eating and at she kept trying to push us out.. at 11:20 she came up to the table (mind you the reservation isn't there & it's outside the grace period)and y'all I kid you not, as my friend was putting her food in her mouth she grabbed the plate from her. She was not finished with her food. I think that absolutely did it for me. That's so rude and the place still wasn't packed, no one was even waiting to be sat. I think she simply just wanted us to leave. I used to love this place but it seems like they only want to serve people they think are spending thousands of dollars and the poor customer service is not okay. I've spent wayyy too much money at this establishment and I hate to say it but I will not be returning nor recommending Cru any longer. :(

This spot was definitely a vibe! We came here on a Friday night and it was packed! We didn't have a reservation so they said it was "standing room only" but there's literally no where to stand without being in the way so eventually we ended up getting a section. You have to buy a bottle with a section and they range from $120-$250 so it's really not a bad deal. They do charge you for bottle service so just a heads up. We ordered a hookah which was a nice and I ordered the Buffalo wings which were good too. The DJ was playing the jams okay!! We had a great time! Definitely would come back!

Nice vibe and music. One thing I really liked was that the music wasn't so loud where you can't hear yourself talking. The blueberry watermelon hookah was really good. The waiter was really attentive and provided lots of options for us.

I'm from nyc and I came here off the strength off my friends recommendation. The only reason it's not getting 4 stars is because the fried shrimp they brought out was way too salty. I had fried shrimp and French fries. I ordered cbd hookah mint and lime which the price is not friendly. But they don't have that in nyc so I had to try it. Definitely ask for Marty because he is the real deal as far as taking care of you. Very nice guy. Everyone was very nice in here even the crowd. It's a club scene for sure and I enjoyed the music and the company I was around. I would come back again.

This place is nice and good for going out and chilling with friends but any business that charges for water is a no go for me. Especially when it's so simple to give tap water. The hookah and the drinks were okay otherwise and the servers were attentive.

Nice spot, good food and music! A great place to meet, catch a sporting event, and hookah. The music and food were on point and with a good staff. CRU is the spot to be downtown.

We had a great time last night at Cru. They had R&B night and it was a nice crowd out on a Thursday. There was no door charge which was nice and we were promptly seated outside. They had decently priced Hookah, the drinks are pretty pricey but common for downtown entertainment. Our server was Tay and she was awesome. The customer service from everyone was actually exceptional. There was quite a few staff members that came around often to check on us and it was a full house so that was even better that they paid attention to everyone. When in Houston we'll defiantly be back. I look forward to going to the other Cru spots in the US, and hope the exceptionalism is matched.

The music is way to loud. The food was good, specially the fried fish. I won't be returning unless they turn the volume down.

I went out to this club Saturday club was ok the valet services suck they kept my car keys . And the owner tried to cover it up

We made reservations online, which was good. We're we're running late and I did inform the manager. We asked about parking and was told $10. We got to the valet and they said parking was $20. We went in and it wasn't really that crowded. Good players were hella small, my plate of fries only had 10 fries on it . Drinks were good, I loved my waitress and music was great. Only thing annoying was that they stopped playing music for like 20+ min due to the Vegas fight. They do add gratuity on tabs.

Stopped by this location downtown after work. Love the food drinks and atmosphere! Marty was behind the bar and wow impressive bartender! Drinks came quick and with awesome customer service! I'll for sure be back. This place was packed on a thirsty Thursday! Street parking is free but the lot next door was $15. Come by for a stiff drink and a good time.

Came here one weekend and at first it seemed like a vibe. Good crowd, good music, but let me tell you about the food, it was nasty!!!!! I don't understand how my lamb chops were burnt. I couldn't even finish it. When we first got there we were at the bar until there was a table ready. I didn't mind, the host was nice and polite. The one light skin bartender with braces had a HORRIBLE attitude. When I asked to speak with a manager she rudely said I am the manager. Talk about a power trip!!! I felt like I couldn't ask her for anything without her getting an attitude, bad representation for the brand. Once we got our table our server Domo was great, honestly the only good highlight of the night. The hookah seemed like it was overpacked and just wasn't smoking good. I went to go ask the hookah staff for more coals and to possibly fix our hookah and the two light skin females there one with black hair and one with dreads had horrible attitudes. I was told that I had to let my server know which is fine, it was my first time there I didn't know. The attitude with telling me to notify my server was NOT needed. Our hookah was never fixed they only changed the coals and just was a waste of money because it tasted burnt and wasn't hitting right and we didn't have the hookah that long. The one with the black hair most of the time was just sitting on her phone. Honestly overall this place is TERRIBLE!!!!! I will never come back and I will let everyone know not to go here either. This place is a joke

I was visiting Houston coming from New York. I decided to try this spot. I would say it's too overpacked. The customer service is horrible. The waiters are literally walking around, no help. I had to ask to order my food. We sat outside. The heater outside was barely working, we were freezing. We order wings which were cold, drink was horrible. Never again !

Me & my cousin came to TX for her 35th bday and happened to stop by cause it was close and baby we had a BALL!!! The music was great, the vibe was right, the people were nice but our bartender JAY was the best!! We felt right at home. Y'all should definitely stop by & ask for her! She broke us in the right way

I came here for a friend's bday. I had VALET..didn't even stay long an hour and half max! Small space and over priced drinks! Anyway a few weeks later I received an notice of parking violation!!? From an address that was literally 2 mins from Cru with the same date as the party so I know it was from that night! So where the hell did they even park for valet!? Smh waste of money!!

Second time here n second time disappointed. Highlights include a $5 u call it happy hr until 8 pm, not sure what time it starts though; they have a apple hookah on happy hr as well, dj is jamming, and best of all on both occasions our waitresses were amazing. Downside the food is horrible! My girls and I got the lamb lollipops n wings n both were terrible. The 2 times we went, apparently the owner was there but he was not personable at all. He was in one of the sections smoking hookah with one of the waitresses. A little acknowledgement/socializing with your patrons would go a long just to show us u appreciate our business. But then again that's just my opinion ‍

Trash! And I won't be back. False advertising gimmicks just to get you in. Everything is an up-sale from the promotions they advertise online and on flyers, and apparently the manager is in on it. I don't mind spending money but when the situations seem shady like you're trying to get over, I definitely have a problem. The waitress needed to to go ask the manager questions every time I order something and it definitely made me curious as to why. Every bottle I asked for off their menu was unavailable...only certain ones, the most expensive ones. Bad experience and I won't be back. Will tell friends.

Very disappointing. From the time we walked in until we left. We arrived last night (Monday)The hostess was very rude with a bad attitude. We were seated right under the air conditioning which was on full blast, this would have been nice if it was super crowded but it wasn't. After waiting about 20 min I flagged the hostess down to let her know we hadn't got service. She went to go tell the sever who still never came over. I found another server who told us our table wasn't her table and she couldn't help us. I had to ask her to please get us a server. The person she got was so busy drinking and doing hookah that she still didn't come over to us right away. After 25 min we finally got service which is really unacceptable, we should have left, however I wanted to stay since we drove 30min to get there and I wanted to support a black own business. My friend was over it. We ordered 1 shot casimigos and 1 dirty martini however they didn't have olives so I got a lemon drop. We got the hookah with 3 flavors and cbd oil. Drinks took a while time to come and hookah was very weak for 47.00. NO one came to change our coils after asking twice. We also ordered some French fries which was 5.00 and some rice which was 13.00. The rice had to much teriyaki sauce and was very very small portion ( it did say small plate). The food was ready way before we got it, as we watched it on the counter while our waitress was busy outside bumping her gums to even get us our food I'm a timely manner. Overall this was a horrible experience. Hookah didn't have no damn cbd oil in it and was over priced and wasn't good, food was salty as I am bout this whole experience. Service horrible, it wasn't even packed, no reason for us to have to wait 25 min to order. Overall they need to work with their staff on customer service. I would say the Nicest things about this place was the napkins. They was hella soft. Needless to say, We won't be going back there. Oh and lastly. 2 drinks 1 hookah small rice and French fries, why was the bill 120.00. See below.
