"The largest Black-owned nightlife chain in the United States, Cru Lounge, just opened in the French Quarter, and it’s on its way to becoming New Orleans’s first destination offering a full range of CBD products from hookah and gummies to pre-rolled hemp joints. Located at 301 Decatur Street, the nightclub replaces a former Wille’s Chicken Shack, dropping the notorious local chain’s number of French Quarter locations down to five. It’s the first of three Cru Lounge locations planned for Louisiana. The interior is stylish, with grand columns anchoring the main floor, walls covered in fake ivy, and a ceiling made of embellished metal tiles. Cru serves fancy versions of typical bar food, like lobster mac and cheese and lamb chop lollipops, but also six kinds of wings and, locally, po’ boys. Over-the-top 'Crutails' with names like 'Loving the Cru' and 'Between the Streets' are sometimes topped with candy, like Sour Punch Straws or peach rings, which is a running theme — the chain’s hookah menu includes various gummy bear flavors as well as Fruity Pebbles, blueberry vanilla ice cream, and kiwi, among others. Hookah, which will be offered soon, can be infused with CBD oil, and the New Orleans location also plans to offer hemp flower pre-rolls and CBD gummies. Cru’s CBD products, like those sold at smoke shops and other spots, are required to contain less than 0.03 percent THC under federal and state guidelines." - Clair Lorell

One of the best lounges in the area that I experienced. The chef that works there is actually a certified chef that graduated from culinary school. Servers were nice and the drinks were strong. I will be back

My and my friends had a great time! We were visiting from Atlanta and were sooo excited to see a Cru in New Orleans! They definitely have one of the nicest locations! The staff was very sweet and attentive, the crutails were amazing, and the food was delicious I recommend the lamb chops and street corn! Can’t wait to come back and catch a vibe under the green lights!

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat, never seen this place before so I stopped in. (The lights drew me in lol) I’m a stickler for great restaurants so I was hesitant however the hostess was so sweet and my service was honestly out of this world. I ordered the lamb chops and ended up ordering another because it was so good. I felt so special because the owner even stopped by for a brief moment to speak and check on my experience. Will definitely be back here when I come back in town.

I visited this location with friends from baton rouge and had a great time. It was a Monday evening (R&B night) and the vibe was desirable for my group. The drinks were good, service was on point, and food was amazing. I’d highly suggest the lamb chops and the Rasta pasta. Prime location and easy parking.

Food is as good drinks were great for Brunch and the music was nice! After a few drinks you can’t help but sing and dance a long. The service was nice too. We were seated and out quickly for a Sunday morning.
