"While this North End spot focuses mostly on the sushi and sashimi side of the raw seafood spectrum, a few of its dishes — not to mention its name — qualify it for a spot on this map. Try the hamachi crudo with yuzu-kosho, chive, and shallots." - Eater Staff

Visiting from Salt Lake City, Utah, my wife and I had lunch here on 6/14/24. We seemed to be the first customers of the day and chose to sit at the bar. Our waiter was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond in providing excellent service. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking quality sushi and exceptional service. It's a great spot to bring your family or significant other for a delightful meal. I would recommend the Patriot touchdown and Stone crab roll and for an appetizer we had 2 orders of the crab Rangoon.

Google
i have NEVER in my life written a google review. this place is AWESOME. my favorite bar in all of boston. the bartender upstairs, Chris, is amazing. he is SO MUCH FUN!!!! I have had 3 birthday dinners in a row here. the sushi and apps are delicious and Chris makes the entire night an experience. if you are looking for a fun night out in the north end, this place is for you!!! PROMISE!!!

Google
I’ll give Crudo points for atmosphere. The bar stool seats were large and comfortable and the disco lights in the bathroom were cool. The spicy tuna, spicy salmon rolls were spicy and weren’t prepared in a way we expected… very mediocre, large pieces of fish with no spicy, and honestly could’ve gotten better at the grocery store. We left most of our food uneaten.

Google
Mediocre and overpriced sushi spot in North End. A sushi restaurant under Greek ownership in North End initially seemed a bit out of place. Its jarring divergence from the locale’s culinary identity was interesting, but at the same time, I was a bit skeptical of the quality of sushi they serve. With typical bar decors and thumping bit remix tunes, it had similar vibe as other small bars in North End, but unfortunately, it failed to deliver. For the appetizers, I had the pop rock shrimp and the shrimp tacos which seemed to be one of the most popular choices. The shrimp, however, was heavily salted. Thankfully, the salmon tacos were well-balanced. It felt like a mix of poke and Mexican bowls, but even this dish felt overpriced given its portion and composition. The Geisha Girl and Cru-Oh! Lasagna sushi rolls both sounded promising but delivered a disappointing palate experience. They felt uninspired, especially when stacked against other sushi places I've frequented in Boston. Small portions and scarce toppings coupled with the fact that the sushi rice tasted like it was cooked some time ago made them one of the worst rolls I’ve had in the city. Now, I understand why even the locals shy away from this place. Overpriced and mediocre sushi spots just feels like a waste of space in North End. If you’re craving for sushi, I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Upon walking in, we were greeted by the lovely host. She, the food runner and our server all made sure we were well taken care of. The prices are reasonable for the good quality of food that you’re getting. However, one major downside of our dinning experience was the fact that our food took a long time to come out. But, I will chalk this up to being super hungry and it being a Friday night. I would still definitely recommend!

Google
Great calamari Amazing shrimp & very good sushi Service was pleasant and efficient. Atmosphere inviting. Not sure what else we could have asked for 🤷🏻‍♂️ We’ll be back for sure.

Google
Tried out Crudo after a festive day trip to Salem in October with friends. We got the sushi boat and split some sake - which I'd definitely recommend for groups. I've had better sushi elsewhere, but there were tons of options and the quality was good. We had a fun time.

I stumbled upon this restaurant hungry and hot. It was happy hour so I decided to give it a try. I'll give Crudo five stars for sure, excellent presentation on all the dishes, excellent sushi, excellent selection and the brunch special also known as happy hour was a pretty good deal. Our server was excellent he was very cool and attentive.

Yelp
If I were rating Crudo on the food alone, it would be 4 stars (probably more a 4.5, but that's not an option). Unfortunately for Crudo, the vibe is just a weird one overall. To start with the positive: Ordered the jalapeno hamachi and the firecracker calamari - both came out quickly and were perfection. The hamachi was so fresh and absolutely delicious and really well portioned. The calamari was DELICIOUS and a massive portion for $16. The spicy aioli wasn't too spicy, but was a great add and the calamari felt really light despite being breaded. All the food was incredibly fresh and was presented beautifully as well. The service was also great - the bartender was attentive without being overbearing and the service was really quick. You could also see the sushi chefs prepping everything and see the fish displayed and all of it looked incredibly fresh (really gorgeous red tuna and perfect looking salmon - nothing looked at all gray or like it had been sitting out). The bar area and restaurant itself was beautiful too! Really awesome decor. Now for why I'm only giving it 3 stars (and I hate this, because the food really was awesome!). Maybe this is an indication I'm getting very old, but the music was LOUD. Like, really loud - I'm a fan of EDM, but this was super dubstep-y, deep, deep house and it just didn't fit the vibe of the restaurant at all. It was really difficult to hold a conversation - and I was there at 5:30 PM (maybe more indication I'm getting old). The drinks are also served in these MASSIVE glasses. It's a little gimmicky to be given a punchbowl of Sapporo (that also tasted flat). To me, it seemed to more make it seem like the cocktails were larger than they are and it just didn't do it for me. Overall, I wish I could separate out the food from the overall vibe, but they unfortunately go hand in hand. I would have stayed longer for more apps or sushi, but because of the extremely loud music that didn't really fit a sushi spot (and early o'clock as well), I wouldn't return especially since there are so many other great sushi options.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this sushi place while wandering the Boston streets and found ourselves in the North End. The drinks were STRONG and were in very large vessels which I think were worth my money. Sushi was also pretty good. I'm not really particular but the sushi came out pretty quickly and it was yummy. Loved it. Ambience of the place was chill. Their bathroom is very clean. I'd come again!

Amit M.

Yelp
Great calamari starter. Amazing shrimp starter. Loved the z dragon roll too! Good service. Good atmosphere. Good ROÍ. We'll be back!

Hanna H.

Yelp
I've only been to this restaurant once and after coming, I would not return for a few reasons. Nothing big against Crudo, but considering that Boston has better options for sushi elsewhere, I regret the convenience of staying in the North End for sushi (if that doesn't say enough as it is) rather than traveling a little further for my sushi go-tos. Once you walk in, it is a cramped restaurant that is quite loud. I've had my fair share of Japanese food and the food here tasted pretty Americanized with not much flavor or anything special about it for a $$$ price. We decided to get drinks but my friend and I could not finish due to the poor flavor combination and taste of the drinks themselves. It was just a pretty average/less than average experience for a pricey bill that left us hungry.

Yelp
I know I have high heat tolerance, but not this high! Did the spice fairy put a curse on your restaurant or something? I'm sorry, but Crudo didn't do it for me. The dishes and drink were interesting in theory but uninspired and one-dimensional in practice. I had the opportunity to try the following: - Jalapeno Hamachi - Salmon Lovers Maki - Pork Buns - Bad Hombre (drink) The fish quality of the Jalapeno Hamachi was excellent, and the sauce had a lightly acidic/citrusy flavor. However, if there was heat in the Yuzu Kosho, it got buried somewhere. The jalapenos it was topped with also seemed to lack any spiciness. The Salmon Lovers Maki had a few things going for it. First, the pieces were quite large, and I am a fan of the lightly torched salmon on top. The torching adds a unique char/crispness, for lack of a better term. However, salmon is not inherently a very flavorful fish, nor is cucumber or avocado. The spicy aioli was lost on me, and the tobiko seemed to be sprinkled on as an afterthought. Pork Buns are a weakness of mine that I rarely miss! The pork was cooked very nicely and was very tender and roast-y! I also quite liked the crispness offered by the lotus root chip. The lettuce didn't add a noticeable freshness and seemed to only be a barrier between the mayo and the pork. Now, reading the menu, I see there is supposed to be wasabi aioli... but the wasabi was MIA. I remember trying this and thinking, "ah, this is mayo," Looking at the menu now, I am half-surprised, half-not. At this point, you can guess what is coming with the Bad Hombre. This tasted like weakly boozy water. The lime did not shine through, and I doubt there was muddled jalapeno. A little round (like on the hamachi) floating within offering a wisp of heat; about the only other thing setting the Bad Hombre apart from water. The vibe in Crudo is a little unexpected. The music, especially on the second floor, is loud-ish. Mostly reddish lighting dances through the place, which may sound entertaining, but in practice, it is like a funky filter on what my food looks like! Especially the reds of tobiko and salmon get hidden. The service left just a little to be desired in terms of attentiveness. I do not expect to be attended to hand and foot, and friendly conversation between staff is perfectly okay. However, at least keep the corner of your eye out. I am okay to drop over $100 on food if I get good value. Crudo, wasn't it. These four items cost me $82 after tax and tip, and I left unsatisfied and desiring more.

Yelp
Came here for a girls night and we ordered a bunch of things! Apps Edamame, pop rock shrimp, and shishito peppers. All good. Really enjoyed the shrimp! They were small but tasty. Sushi Stone crab, double tuna, combo yellowtail. Stone crab was deeeelicious. Tuna was good, and the yellowtail was fine. We came here before TD so it was conveniently located. Service was good and I'd come back. Our waiter was super nice when helping us decide on a white wine for the table. There is a bit of hype in looking at the reviews for this place. It's not as nice as I expected but worth trying if you are in the mood for sushi while in the north end.

Barrett J.

Yelp
Made reservations for 7:30pm, and called 30 minutes before to let the restaurant know we would be a few minutes late due to traffic and was told it was no problem. Upon arrival at 7:37, they did not have a table as promised and could only seat us at the bar which was EXTREMELY loud. Then the host proceeded to say there was nothing they could do.

Yelp
Sushi is tops of my top 2 foods- and this place did not disappoint! We ordered: miso soup, pink tacos, truffle tuna, popcorn shrimp, California roll, eel, hamachi, and a bottle of saki... and everything was delicious. My only turn off is that miso soup was cold!

Scarlet G.

Yelp
I just had lunch here on my last day on Boston. I can't recommend it more! Everything was delicious, the service was amazing and it was very well priced! My husband and I shared four plates, all of which were made gluten and dairy free. We had spicy tuna, salmon lovers, truffle tuna and the pudgy panda. It came to about $75 all together including tip! I definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
A weeknight dinner with a friend- The restaurant definitely has more of a bar-like feel to it. The lighting is also extremely RED fyi lol.. Not sure if there's an upstairs level but at least the area when you walk in, and the immediate seating areas around it - aren't very spacious but it does the job for if you just want to hang out with a friend or two. RSVP is highly recommended. We had a high top table by the window and ordered a few if the special rolls- featuring a lot of salmon, crab etc, and all of it was quite good. The fish was fresh and served on time. No complaints. We also had edamame on the side- also fine. Overall I think the place was quite nice- fun to try if you're in the area- not sure I would venture from the other side of town just to try it (again, its rather small - speaking for the first floor/entry area- I don't even know if they have another level) and the prices are also $$-$$$. I would say its pretty standard for sushi close to downtown. The noise level was moderate- the tables we were near were nearly adjacent or the bar which initially had several ppl already seated and so it was a bit loud but not overwhelming. Food photo attached:)

Yelp
My friends and I went to crudo on a Saturday night. We loved it - the sushi was delicious and the drinks were great. Not only that, the presentation was phenomenal. They made it look super fancy! The restaurant is quite small - there are two floors which about 6-8 tables on each floor, and a bar on both floors. Try blast music on the second floor and there is no way to turn the volume down so if you're with family/people that prefer quieter settings, I definitely recommend the first floor. The service was excellent and the food was prepared very quickly. I think one downside to the restaurant is that they only provide single use utensils (chopsticks, forks, spoons etc) and small packets of soy sauce instead of the ones where you can pour. Other than that, I loved Crudo and highly recommend it if you're in Boston! Overall rating: 8.5/10

Lurine J.

Yelp
Best. Sushi.ever. The drinks were delicious too....just ask my hubby. The two he had knocked him on his butt. I'm sure the whiskey shots before were helpful. I had one drink it was margarita and you could taste the tequila. It was great my sushi was amazing. I'm so sorry yelpers I wish I had snapped a pic. I had the mango tango and the dragon roll I believe either way it was super delicious. We also had the wings they were delicious also. I would for sure recommend this place.

Yelp
Sushi in the North End? Why not. It wasn't what I was craving. I was looking for Italian-style crudo with luscious olive oil, and some appetizers. It was a cold-ish dreary weekend and we had just left the lack luster King Tut exhibit, hungry and wanting to wander Boston, but too chicken to brave the coldish grayish day. So I popped in because it was EMPTY. Boston prices, yes. Boston North End DELICIOUSNESS, POW! Nailed it. The fried shrimp appetizer hit so many notes for me, and the rolls were fresh and tight and beautifully presented. Our server was delightful, and the music was dance-infectiously worthy. If you love sushi and "crudo" (raw), go for it. You know what sushi costs, so this won't give you a stroke. It won't break the bank. And the bar is nicely stocked, so drink up and be merry. AND if a nice bachata comes up or merengue, why not bust that move? A little piece of delight in the lively North End!

Emily M.

Yelp
The North End is filled with Italian but Crudo is the best for a great change up. Sushi is amazing. Highly recommend the calamari. Service is friendly and quick. Cool place with fun music on the weekends! Windows open up too!!!

Peter P.

Yelp
Who knew North End would have such a dope japanese spot nearby!? The second floor bar area is lively and a great spot for drinks with a view overlooking the bustling street below. The staff are very friendly and will help turn up the energy if you're there celebrating a birthday, engagement, or whatever!

Nitasha K.

Yelp
Horrible- horrible- horrible- oh my god! If you follow my reviews, I actually rarely give anyone less than four stars unless there's a serious deficiency. I brought my family here tonight and my sister has a serious sesame allergy. We don't avoid Asian restaurants as most places can respect an allergy and do it correctly but this place basically showered everything we ordered with sesame. Every-time everything. When we inquired and asked what was going on- they responded that the chef was busy and couldn't remember the allergy. They ended up serving the entire check despite their grave mistake and of course my sister had a raging allergy reaction before we left with hives everywhere. Severely inattentive, disrespectful, and almost just lacking of common knowledge on how to run a restaurant. To make it worse, we're both in medicine and we're disturbed by their lack of attentiveness. Would never recommend this place or come back- not sure what they're doing but they gravely messed this up.

Tyler N.

Yelp
$18 for six crab rangoons that had more lemon in them than crab... not a good start. The atmosphere was cool and it really was a hole in the wall kind of place. The sweet Thai chili edamame was good but very spicy! Be warned! The California rolls were okay, nothing special. A little overpriced for not the greatest food. I probably won't return.

Katherine R.

Yelp
This place is wild. I came here for dinner on a Saturday night and expected a normal, calm sushi restaurant experience. But instead, they were playing club music and had lights flashing around the whole night. The owner was also coming around pouring shots in peoples mouth (for free). It was wild. We loved it and had so much fun. The food was actually really good too. We ordered everything from the sushi, to fried rice, Brussel sprouts, tuna dishes, etc and everything we tried was delicious. I'm not sure I would bring my parents here but I would definitely come back with friends! It was so fun and unexpected!

Amber E.

Yelp
Don't usually think of sushi in North End, but we had just done Italian the last two meals, so sushi was calling us! The sushi was fresh and good, and reasonably priced, and service was friendly. Recommend!

Elena S.

Yelp
I came here with a friend who was visiting and enjoyed it. I will say there was an issue with our order getting put in but they more than made up for it for. Drinks: We had the hot sake and the Social Mule which were both really good. Food: The crab rangoons and thai chili edamame were what we ordered for a starter. Crab Rangoons weren't the best I've had honestly so would maybe recommend a different starter. For sushi the server recommended a few of their signatures for us. We had the Red Light District and the One Night Stand and they were both amazing. Definitely an awesome spot for sushi! It was very fresh and the presentation was beautiful. Vibe: We sat downstairs near a window which was nice. I didn't go upstairs at all so I can't speak to that. Kind of a darker, moodier vibe which was cool. Great spot overall! I will definitely be back!

Jason O.

Yelp
Very likely requires a reservation but I got lucky. The neighborhood is full of bars, cafes, and restaurants so lots of choices if you don't get in. It's a small venue but has a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere. I ordered some saki and edamames to start. The saki was tasty and ended up lasting the whole dinner. For the main I ordered a the Tri-color Rainbow roll as well as the Maguro. The quality and presentation of the food was quite good. For the price the sushi is value for money. The staff were friendly and the service was good. I'd gladly recommend and visit again.

Brent J.

Yelp
Taste/Quality of Ingredients: 4/5 My favorite tasting appetizer was definitely the wings - it had a nice spicy dry rub with the right amount of kick and a sweeter sauce to balance it out. The calamari had a strange flavor that the whole group noticed. Shishito peppers and fried rice were alright - pretty standard. Jade dragon was my favorite roll - I'd give that a 5/5. It had a bit of a sweet tinge to it. Tri color rainbow was standard Geisha girl was pretty good - truffle oil does come through No issues with quality of ingredients - felt safe eating the raw fish but by no means was the fish quality particularly good for sushi. Price/Value: 3/5 Sushi is generally not the cheapest thing but it's a delicate balance between price and quantity of food and quality of fish, etc. I found this place to be too expensive for what you get on the margin. Fish either needed to be better quality or the prices need to be lowered in my opinion. Nothing super egregious though. Service/Atmosphere: 2/5 The inside is pretty cute and has more of a pub like feel. They also offered outdoor seating. Maybe the place is severely understaffed but I will say it took forever to get a server to come get our order and give us our check. Generally poor service which is why the low rating Other: Interesting to see a sushi place in the heart of the north end...

Caren F.

Yelp
This place was pretty good. Though, I have to admit, I wasn't too impressed with their sushi. They were pretty bland, it need more sauce. However, I do want to say, they had good Brussel sprouts, their chicken wings was also good, though a bit spicy for me. I can usually tolerate a high mild spicy. And did like the tuna tartare, but there wasn't very much of it. The service was great though. The price was pretty comparable to many sushi restaurants.

Jody W.

Yelp
Calling all millennials!! This is your place! Seriously...not a diverse crowd. Young, wanna-be-hipster-ish patrons (one of which was so obnoxious that it was moderately fascinating/entertaining) and a very green, awkward staff (with the exception of the owner...or manager...who was a loud, brute of a fella). The young man that delivered the food didn't really seem to want to be there...and he seriously lacked common sense. Or, perhaps he partook in that leafy delicacy that is now legal in MA before his shift. Not sure what his deal was...but I enjoyed watching him and he actually made me laugh out loud. We had an empty plate on the table and we had ordered a few more pieces of sushi. When he delivered it, he started to try and balance it on top of the empty platter rather than remove the empty dish first. With some coaxing and coaching, he eventually took both away. Wowsa. We were seated upstairs and our server was also the bartender. Honestly, I didn't think she was old enough to even serve adult beverages but now that I'm old and crotchety, everyone looks twelve to me. She was OK, but didn't get the order right. Whatever...we ordered a few more pieces since we really wanted to try the salmon sushi (which turned out to be disappointing). Highlight of the meal was the yellowtail sushi. Very fresh and pieces were large. The two rolls were fine; not exceptional but certainly not bad. Salmon sushi, as mentioned, was not nearly as good as expected (based on the yellowtail) - couldn't bite it in half and was a smidge chewy. Raw salmon should be buttery...not chewy. The "pink taco" was just cubed tuna on a bed of iceberg lettuce in a greasy flour tortilla. Not my jam. The tuna was decent quality, but I didn't care for the film of tortilla grease on my fingers. Overall flavor was bland. If we weren't so exhausted yesterday, we would have gone to Neptune Oyster down the street (but there's always a line and we just needed to have a quick meal that wasn't Italian food). I wouldn't rush back here based on the weird ambiance and inexperienced staff, but the food is OK.

Tony S.

Yelp
Probably everything I expect to find in a sushi place located in the North End.... which isn't much. So in that regard, it's on point. But in the world of what I think is their attempt at pan-Asian, it's very average. But there ARE a couple good things to note about this place. First, it's has two floors, with a great open-air-ish upstairs, so it's great for groups. Probably a great spot to get slip-slop-salty-stupid drunk, with decent food for backup. The spicy garlic chicken wings are fantastic. They have a sweet chili dipping sauce that goes with it. So good i ordered it twice. I wasn't crazy about the sushi. Nothing to write home about. Quite boring overall, but honorable mention for one roll called the "One Night Stand", which is some mix of spicy tuna, and I think California roll with eel sauce. It was also good enough to order twice. Hated the Brussel sprouts. They fry it here, so it comes out oily and mushy. I totally hated it. Never again! The pad Thai tastes more like a Chinese fried noodle dish, so it isn't bad, but nothing like traditional pad Thai. I'll come back for cocktails and wings, but for high sushi expectations, meh.

Tori A.

Yelp
We just left crudo and I wanted to make sure I posted this review. Our server Sonny was absolutely amazing. We were a party 13 girls celebrating a birthday and he was very attentive, kind and fun. The food was delicious. It was a little louder than i remember (haven't been since pre-covid) but we enjoyed the music. I'd recommend the chicken wings, Rangoon and all the sushi.

Sholeen N.

Yelp
We've been here twice and both times, excellent experience. The sushi is fresh, avocados always perfectly ripe, no skimping on the fish. The cocktails are delicious with a great variety.

Jason B.

Yelp
This restaurant is really nice and has great food. We ordered crab rangoons, pork buns, Spicy Yaki Udon, Shogun roll, and tri-color rainbow roll along with the bad hombre and paloma for drinks, the bad hombre is a spicy margarita. My partner and I weren't crazy about the cocktails, so I would skip them and just order the beers if you want an alcoholic drink. The appetizers were great, although the pork buns were a little fatty. The crab rangoons were some of the best I've ever had. The sushi was great as well and the menu had some unique and interesting choices. The Spicy Yaki Udon was amazing and had a lot of kick to it. It was also was a big portion, enough for me to have it as a second meal later on. The restaurant had a nice feel to it and the entire staff was wearing masks, making my group feel safe. Crudo added outdoor seating on the side of the street to allow for further social distancing.

Ivanna S.

Yelp
Stopped by Crudo for a quick date night in the North End and was presently surprised. Who kenw the North End had sushi! They have both indoor and outdoor seating and the food was tasty. All the wait staff wore masks and everything felt COVID safe at all times. We started with drinks and wasn't overly impressed - I would skip drinks if you come. Overpriced and so strong that I couldn't finish it. For starters, we had the crab rangoons and pork buns. The crab rangoons were very good and the filling was creamy. The porks buns were ok - a little on the fatty side but if you like that then go for it. For main meals we had the Shogun roll, Tri-color rainbow roll and the Spicy Yaki Udon. All of which were excellent choices. The Udon was spicy and flavorful and the portion size was large. If you are ever in the area and looking for a decent sushi spot - check them out!

Ann P.

Yelp
Credo was AOK. The positives were, sitting at the bar, getting quick and friendly service. The staff were lovely. The sushi was AOK, nothing wow. The music is nice and the setting downstairs was enjoyable. We normally would eat Italian in the North End but had an event that included food, later so wanted a few sushi bits. The price is good for Boston.

Jessica L.

Yelp
Crudo can be hit or miss - depending on the menu item, it's either fantastic or underwhelming. I actually enjoy this place when in the North End and it's usually a nice vibe since all the tourists are busy seeking Italian-American food elsewhere. Can also be great for drinks and apps if you have dinner elsewhere. Love for girls night out or catching up with friends. Avoid: - Pad Thai - tasted like very generic take-out - Wings - not at all crispy Definitely order: - Edamame - tasty and plentiful for sharing - Shogun roll - Various rolls/sashimi focusing on fresh fish (i.e., nothing with fake crab)

Olga S.

Yelp
Very hip atmosphere, almost club-like vibe, and delicious food! We came here for dinner and had a pretty good time: the service was prompt, the cocktails potent, and the food was almost worth it's price. My only other complaint was that the pumping club music made it hard to hear/talk. The best food item by far was the salmon carpaccio appetizer! I almost ordered more of these for my entree as well. We got the Ocean's 12 combo, which was great and the fish tasted very fresh. The Runway Model roll was pretty good, and the sweet potato roll wasn't that great. We ordered something chocolatey for dessert and it was something reminiscent of brownie with whipped cream, not stellar. My Pretty in Pink drink was very potent and perhaps a bit too sweet for me, but the warm hot sake really hit the spot!

David D.

Yelp
One of the best sushi places in Boston. Best roll? Geisha. The flavors in the roll are unreal. Two words: Truffle oil! They have a huge cocktail menu with many different options. My favorites are the Ni Fassion and the Moscow mule. The calamari is very good. Crispy and excellent. Good service. One flaw was that the music was too loud. I'm a fan of music but they were blasting music so loud, 1) you felt like you were in a club. 2) you had to yell to have a conversation. This is was weird for a restaurant to do on a Thursday night. You're a sushi restaurant, not a night club ha. One star subtraction for that.

Jessie Z.

Yelp
Great and helpful staff! Super easy to just sit down and get a spot. Tried a handful of different sushi and all were pretty good. Loved the one with crab on top and the Goyza app was delicious!

Katrina G.

Yelp
I was extremely satisfied with my sushi takeout order from Crudo. All of the sushi rolls were super flavorful! The signature makimono rolls come with 8 pieces and I was happy with all of our selections. We ordered the Geisha Girl, the Shogun and Double Spicy Salmon rolls. I'd recommend all three, but the subtle truffle taste on the Geisha girl (my personal favorite) was *chef's kiss*. We also ordered the Crazy traditional roll (6 pieces), which was very tasty and helped to balance out the richness of the other rolls. The jalapeño hamachi cold starter stole the show, it's definitely a must order! Light, citrusy and the fish combines heavenly with the spice from the pepper. The only item I wouldn't order again was the pork buns, they didn't have enough sauce for me. Overall, great experience!

Yelp
When it comes to sushi I love it and I am eight and my sister is five I love the food thank you very much.

Javier D.

Yelp
Fun and unique menu. The wings were very spicy and exactly what w were looking for. We enjoyed a specialty roll and a classic roll. I would highly recommend reservations as even for lunch it was packed. The ambiance is definitely date night material.

All I say is yum yum yum. Sushi is excellent. Great variety of choices in terms of hot and cold appetizers. Lycheetini is fantastic. Service is amazing. Definitely my go-to stop before a Bruin's game.

Yelp
Came here last night. Had a few speciality rolls. The brussel sprouts were the best thing I had there, for sure. The spicy tuna roll was good also. Wasn't a big fan of the m80 roll. Fried rice was warm, flavorful, and in a hot black pot. I would not get it with chicken though, it was too much chicken. I would recommend coming here if you want some sushi in the north end. Lots of options and fish tastes good!

Yelp
Interesting sushi restaurant in the middle of the north end. Is it pricey? Yep. Taste? Actually not bad. It's more of a "night-out" feel so I wouldn't come here on the regular for sushi. The waiters were definitely nice and informative. The sushi was well decorated with mostly non-traditional items, but most of my party did enjoy it. We also had the mochi ice cream which was pretty good, but I'm not sure if it was made inhouse. The interior is two flours, with a bar on each flour, so good for those who just want a nice drink as well. I don't see too many people here usually, so probably not crowded enough to require reservations. I would recommend trying it out if you're craving sushi and stuck in the north end, but I personally see so many other cheaper also solid sushi places in Boston.

Yelp
Great sushi selection and quality. Ambiance was hip, upbeat and trendy. They played music and by the later hours it got more lively. Good server and staff too. Will be going back!

Yelp
You might not think to hit up the North End for sushi, but Crudo might just change your mind! Crudo's a hip space with two floors and large windows. A glass waterfall welcomes you as you step into the dim first floor, and the second floor features tables along the windows and a large bar where you can order wine, beer, and sake cocktails. The food menu is long with offerings including specialty sushi, standard sushi/sashimi, salads, poke, a variety of appetizers, and even fish tacos & burritos. We went for 2 specialty rolls: the One Night Stand and the Shogun. The names are reason enough to order some of these rolls! Both were different and delicious. The ONS with shrimp tempura was topped with spicy tuna, scallops, and eel sauce, creating a great blend of textures and flavors. The Shogun featured a seared scallop on top, adding a bit of a smoky flavor to the mix, along with a shishito pepper & dab of Sriracha, delivering a spicy, crunchy hit to each bite. Crudo is raw. Crudo is cool. And being in the the Italian-saturated North End somehow makes Crudo even cooler.

Yelp
Was pretty excited to try this place because of, what else, uni. It was on the menu and I was ready. Got there and was seated upstairs where it's so loud, I couldn't hear my own thoughts. Placed my order for 2 sets of uni nigiri, 1 uni sashimi a roll and some other nigiri. A few minutes later, I'm told they're all out of uni. *insert horror emoji* Now that I have to redo my order, I asked the waitress to confirm if I already ordered hamachi nigiri because I'm about to order the hamachi appetizer instead. She says no but turns out I did and now I have over ordered. Fish for all of my orders were warm. Rolls were mediocre and the mango for my Mango Tango roll was way thin. Service is slow and it's not halfway towards capacity.

Yelp
I love the Spicy chicken and I really enjoyed sushi. Brussel sprouts for amazing in addition to chicken fried noodles. Restaurant has two floors and it's more of a place that people should go at night. It looks like it can draw pretty good evening scene.

Yelp
We had reservations to go here tonight and then they canceled last minute. We remade reservations but when we arrived they said they over booked and they were trying to figure out where to put us when they decided where to put us, they exiled us like Harry Potter under the stairs, and we had a terrible experience, not only was the food average, they also offered subpar service. Would I ever go back? Absolutely not however, if anybody wants a good recommendation for sushi to dine in or take out mad monk fish in Cambridge or Fuji in any location is 10 out of 10 and literally 100 times better, both for drinks and all items on the menu. Cheers!!!!!

Yelp
Had a great experience! It was my birthday, and they absolutely made my night. The music was fun as was the bartender. We got a few apps, which were delicious, as were the several maki rolls we ordered. Definitely be back!!

Yelp
Overpriced, overrated and unaccommodating with adjusting menu items Our waiter was a space cadet; he forgot a drink order, forgot one of the items I ordered to eat and mixed up another main dish. About 75% of the sushi rolls are tempura based so that limits the options. The seaweed salad was good and a solid sized portion. The edamame was covered in rock salt to the point we were scraping it off. The spicy tuna roll had scallions and crunch, which were not listed on the menu. The fried rice was a little over cooked and also bland. One of my friends spoke highly about the Geisha Roll and M-80 Roll. The wings were adequate but nothing to write home about it -- they need a bigger dish for the side sauce since it was too small to dip.

Yelp
This is the best sushi I've had in Boston!! It's located in the North End, which is a little odd since it's surrounded by Italian restaurants, but it's a lovely restaurant. I loved the atmosphere, they had the windows open on a nice day and were playing an EDM playlist (much to my delight). I got the AYCE lunch option, which was $29, and a lychee and lemontini. The lemontini was well-made but the highlight of the meal was the sushi. It was so fresh and I feel like each roll is presented extremely well. I tried all of the possible rolls and enjoyed every single one! The waiter was also very friendly and the overall service was great. I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
I came here on a Friday night with a reservation and I loved the atmosphere! It was very hip, with dark lighting and dance music/hip hop songs playing throughout the night. I only got to see the first floor because that's where we were seated, but there's a second floor too. The chairs didn't have backs but I wish they had. They serve cucumber water. We got pork buns (the picture shows one but there were two) and calamari to split. The pork buns were my favorite part of the whole meal! And the calamari was excellent too with a great spicy aioli (we asked for it on the side, not sure how it comes). My friend got the eel avocado rolls which were her favorite part of the meal! And I got the Idaho roll which was a roll with sweet potato tempura. I don't like sushi so it was a nice alternative. The bill came out to $44, and we were expecting for it to be much higher! The waitress did check on us once to see if our food was okay and once to say it was kitchen's last call, but it was a while before we caught her to request the bill. Overall great experience in a fun atmosphere!
