Yelp
I want to preface this by saying I don't normally write reviews for new businesses, as I know they are ironing out their kinks and getting used to running a business, but I made an exception for Crumb, and here is why:
The guys running it certainly seem like pros. I know one used to have a restaurant in Haddonfield, Denim, that I really enjoyed.
So why 3 stars?
-Prices. I know this is Haddonfield, I know they use premium ingredients, but $18 for a sandwich is insane. Especially when that sandwich doesn't come with a side salad or even a bag of chips.
-The sandwiches need work if these guys want to charge these prices. The ideas and ingredients of the sandwiches are top notch. But there's so much bread, and the fillings don't match up. Add more of each ingredient, please. Make sure the fillings FILL out the sandwich. Ordered a sticky icky, the flavors were there, the ingredients were not. Looking at the sandwich uncut, you couldn't even tell there was stuff inside! Pulling the sandwich apart wasn't any better. If I'm paying $12 for a grilled cheese, I would hope to see ooey gooey cheese pretty much pouring out. Also had the meatball. Meatballs were great, but again, came nowhere to filling out the sandwich.
-Salt. The bread is a great consistency, but has waaaay too much salt.
Haddonfield has really welcomed Crumb with open arms. They owe it to their customers to up their game a little. Either come down in prices or up in fillings.
