I ordered 2 10 piece flats to go and the chicken was very black. I tried 1 of the wings and it tasted old and spoiled. I called up there and told the lady over the phone how the quality of the chicken was. I requested a refund, the lady over the phone was very rude and said they couldn’t accommodate a refund. She acted like she didn’t care and the situation wasn’t that serious. If I’m paying over $50 over some wings, I expect good quality. I wouldn’t recommend this place, and I will be disputing this with my bank. 0/10

Crumpy's Hot Wings Downtown is a hidden gem that I couldn't resist, even though I'm cheating on my diet. From the moment I stepped in, the aroma of their signature hot wings filled the air, making it impossible to resist temptation. The chicken they serve here brings back memories of the quality I used to enjoy during the late 1990s. For those who experienced that era, you'll understand the nostalgia it invokes with every bite. Now, let's talk about the sides. The fries are seasoned to perfection, with a delicate blend of spices and salts that add an extra layer of flavor. When paired with the fresh celery and carrots on the side, the combination is heavenly, balancing the richness of the wings. Speaking of the wings, the chef's expertise is evident in every batch. As someone who isn't a fan of hard chicken or heavy ranch dressing, I was pleasantly surprised by how perfectly the chef prepared my order. The chicken was tender, juicy, and cooked just right, allowing the sauce to meld seamlessly with the skin. One of the things that stood out to me was the consistency of the sauce. It was never overly drippy, ensuring that each bite was enjoyable without making a mess. Overall, this particular Crumpy's location is K.Le approved. While there might be other Crumpy's establishments that didn't meet my expectations, I can confidently say that this one delivers a fantastic hot wing experience. And fear not, even though I'm not a fan of the other locations, they still offer a decent experience – just not as exceptional as this one. Went here when in town. Wings were excellent. Maybe not as spicy as my daughter would like but very flavorful.She really enjoyed the taste and said she would go back anytime. We also had the lemon pepper wings and onion rings. Onion rings were crispy and flavorful. Over all Great experience. Sorry the picture is half eaten. I thought about taking it too late.

The customer service is so great. Shika was so cool. My first time going walking In very welcoming its a small place nice cool shop. They have variety of flavors. Food was delicious very seasoned!!!! WILL BE BACK !!!! Shout out to her!!!! Oh they grubhub and Uber eats as well .

When in Memphis, Crumpy’s Hot Wings Downtown location is a must visit! The staff is friendly and the service is nothing less than pure Southern Hospitality! The wings are cooked to perfection and you have got try their famous Honey Gold wings! When I visited the owner was there and told me that they were usually closed on Sundays but she said give me 30 minutes. In that time she summoned her staff and took my order… ON A DAY THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE CLOSED!! Now that’s customer service!! Crumpy’s will be one of the first establishments that I visit every time I come to Memphis! You should do the same!!!

I had a terrible time at this location. The girl with the long blond braids was incredibly rude. I asked a simple question, and she immediately responded with an attitude. I’ve worked in the service industry for years and am usually very nice to servers, cashiers, and other staff because I understand how challenging it can be to deal with people, I ordered a four-tender meal and a 10-boneless wing meal. I asked about a drink because last time I ordered the same combo, it came with one. However, she refused to give me one. I was tired of dealing with her attitude, so I just let it go. When I paid for my meal, I was shocked to see that my total was $37, even though the meals were around $12 each online. I tried to contact a manager, but she answered the phone and basically refused to put one on the line. I had no choice but to accept the poor service and leave. This place is a scam with terrible customer service. The girl yelled at me, and the food was terrible. The tenders and boneless wings were chewy and felt like I was eating sauced jerky. And the fries were only a handful.

This little hideaway wing spot continues the legacy of Crumpy's Wings. My first time going, I passed it twice (even though it's sign are quite visible). Service was neutral. But my order was for take out, so I can't say either way. My meal was exactly as I ordered it, piping hot!! Definitely will be returning soon.

I love me some wings. I eat wangz 2-3 times a week. I was in town for the weekend and a friend recommended Crumpy's. I'm glad we made the trip. These are full sized wings: flats and drumettes. I didn't know that and over ordered. That's ok. They don't skimp on seasoning. Bam! Tons of flavor on everything.

Oh no! Burger had no seasoning . Burger had sweet pickles on it with white Sandwich bread.. No hamburger bun!!!! Wings were fried in old grease! Just skip this Crumpy's

Food was amazing, staff was patience and very welcoming. Location is what it is, but don't let is discourage you.

$30 for this ! What was I thinking , oh wait I wasn't. I was starving so I called in without asking for price so I just paid for it when I showed up but $30 for this is ridiculous. This place needs to just go out of business if you need to charge this much for wings

This place does not look like much from the outside. It actually looks like it's located in the worst part of town but it's Memphis, so you get what you get and you don't throw a fit. That was the same for the food!!! The seasoning and their customer service was top notch! But that grease was as old as time, and it made me extremely sick. I want to support black businesses by the way we keep failing one another time after time is very sad. The wing portions are nice. The sauce options are plenty too which made this so hard! The fries are delicious but that oil again was tooooo OLD! And for the price of wings in Memphis ... it outta be a damn shame! I ate 3 wings and couldn't keep going. I ordered 10 whole wings with 2 different flavors and it was a disappointment. I was so looking forward to eating wings that day. I passed up Hueys because I wanted a black owned business. But the food experience was not a pleasant experience AT ALL!! Change your oil please!

They do require customers to wear a mask, but the building is so small and they had way to many people in the building waiting on their food. These were some of the worse wings I've ever had. They failed to seasoned the wings. If tasted like chicken with absolutely no season just floured and fried. I asked for seasoned wings and it didn't have flavor at all. I included a picture of the "seasoned" wings I got. The fries were bland and soggy. I wasted $12 for nothing. I wouldn't go back or recommend this place. Edit: turns out I have Covid and loss my sense of taste and smell. I will give them another try in a few weeks or so. However, I requested seasoned wings and they barely put in of the action seasoned flavor on the wings. Take a look at the photos.

Ordered a 20 piece wing (10 lemon pepper, 5 honey hot, and 5 season) was originally quoted a 30 minute wait time. Because I know how wing spots can be, I gave them an extra 20 minutes. Upon arrival my order STILL wasn't ready. The cashier/manager asked me to give them 15 more minutes...15 minutes pass still no food and asking for another 5 minutes. I did not receive my order until close to 7:30 when it was placed at 6:11. Upon getting my food, the dry wings have little to no seasonings on them so I request more. Immediately there was a noticeable change in their attitude (it declined). My family and I make it back home, and When my mother opens the foil she immediately states that the grease smells old and burned. I chunk it up to possibly having half of the wings fried hard. We continue to eat and i notice a spoiled smell coming from a few of my wings. So I stop eating. Everything seems fine until close to mid night. Myself, my mother, and my grandmother are all darting for the restrooms. Projectile vomiting and explosive diarrhea. (Which by the way is still happening at 6:28 pm.) At several points the remains of chicken, fries, and corn nuggets are coming from both ends simultaneously. Around 8am we head to the little clinic where we are ALL diagnosed with food poisoning. And are instructed to stay hydrated. I then wait u til the store opens and give them a call (12:15) requesting to speak with the manager is the owner. The cashier informs me that the Manager will not be in until 3 or 4. I ask her to take my number and request a return call. Minutes later (12:23) the cashier calls back asking the purpose of me wanting to speak with the manager. I provide her with full details and she says she'll have her call me as soon as she gets in. Moments later (12:34 ) I receive an incoming call from Ms.Timica (store manager) w quoting about my experience. After giving her the full details she states that she's never heard anything about food poisoning and basically tries to dismiss my claim. She then asked how did I know we had food poisoning and I inform her that we had ALL seen the doctor. She asked what the symptoms were and I then described them again and told her she could also Google more information about food poisoning. The conversation continues and she states that always changes her grease at least twice a week. She then asks what I would like for her to do. Whether that be a full refund, replaced order, new order, etc. I tell her that we will no longer be visiting their establishment and that I would like a refund. Ms. Tunica then says as soon as she gets to the store she would give me a call to process my refund. I say ok. Mind you throughout this conversation I'm running back and forth to the restroom. 5:27 arrives and I haven't heard back from anyone so I give them a call. They fumble through their questions about us having food poisoning and making statements such as "I've never heard of anything like this". Moments pass and she claims to not see my name, phone number, or card information in their system and asks me to give them a call back at 6 because they were extremely busy. She also says that I can just come up there and get it. I explain to her, again, that do you food poisoning from their establishment I can not leave the house. She responds with "because of diarrhea " so, I say yes, and vomiting. We end the phone call and I give them a few minutes past 6 since they were "so" busy. I call 6 times starting at 6:14 and to no surprise the answering service continues to pick up. I then call Ms.Timica back on the number she called me from earlier, and guess what?! She says the store closed at 6 and no one's there, and that i can come when I feel better to get a refund. So I politely tell her that she asked me to call her at 6 because they were super busy. At no point did she disclose that they would be closed at 6. You're kidding me right? No remorse, no apology, just excuse after excuses. So now here I am...6:49 still running back and forth to the restroom along with my mother and grandmother as a result of food poisoning. No refund, no remorse, no nothing. Please reconsider supporting this establishment until they do better. I've uploaded pictures for supporting evidence. (I've also numbered them in case they get out of order)

Worth the wait for hot fresh food. I won't even complain about the prices because it's just that good. The dining room is okay but I recommend you get it & go. Not the best location but it's working. Definitely going back again & again.

Best wings in Memphis. Not the nicest establishment but you don't go for the ambiance but rather the food. 11/10 wings.

I'm always ordering fried mushrooms and a basket of fries from Crumpy's! They get it to me within 15 minutes and it's always on point. This isn't the place to sit and eat at if you are not from here. Always order your food via phone or online and plan to eat elsewhere.

This food was good! They serve flavored whole wings and other menu items. We ordered a 10pc half spicy honey hot and the other lemon pepper. Our side was seasoned fries. Omg and their punch (Fruit and Lemonade) were good too. (Sweet so be prepared). We were in a hurry so unfortunately I don't have a picture, you just have to trust me lol. Now I will say the wait is lengthy but this is a spot if you have the time, seriously try it. Hey, there was a continued flow of customers so obviously it was good and we all waited to eat lol. Their wet lemon pepper was good as well.

This Crumpy's is awesome! Their wings are delicious, and they have a ton of flavors to choose from. (I'm a creature of habit and typically get their chicken tenders with seasoned fries.). It's on Dunlap, across the street and a little down from St. Jude. The owners are great, and once (when I was waiting on my order) they even threw in a free cheeseburger when I asked how they were there. I'm not gonna lie... I ate that as well, and it was great! There are a lot of wing places around town, but this is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It does get super busy at lunch though, so either don't be in a rush or call ahead.

Beware it's the whole wing lol I had no idea so if you order 10 it's gonna be 10 drums and 10 flats. They were so good!

Yep still mad they tried to charge me for paper plates and I had to eat on napkins. Trash

The wings are what I would consider to be pretty good, but Memphis really has some great Wings. So why settle for anything other than the bus? Secondly, I don't know if you have ever been to one of their locations, but they are a nightmare to go in an order at. Not only is the service terrible, but often times you'll be treated rudely and end up waiting for 45 or more minutes for a single order of wings!

I went to this location 3 times before writing this review. Every time I've been the food was so good. The wings have so much flavor, so far I've had the wet spicy seasoned, honey gold, lemon pepper, hot, and honey glazed. We also ordered fries, onion rings, fried okra and the corn nuggets. The onion ring batter could of used a little more flavor but other than that everything was good. This will definitely be my go to for wings from now on! Also the customer service I received each visit was good. My food was ready when they said it would be and they throughly checked my order before they gave it to me.

Great food. Great service. Would have liked more than two ketchups.. but the wings and the CORN NUGGETS were {insert fire emoji}. Also, there were many more corn nuggets before this photo was taken. I have zero self control.

Just ordered 10 piece wings. Half hot & half lemon pepper HOT. However, it's not what we got. They gave me half season & half season lemon pepper & when he requested for them to fix the order once they realized they were wrong they told my boyfriend that they ran out of hot sauce!! NOT TO MENTION WE DID NOT GET OUR FRIES. We requested for a refund. Which the manager allowed. However they STILL failed to give us the correct change back! I use to think this place was amazing! What a disappointment.

The wings are PHENOMENAL!!!!! The staff is amazing and we will be back! The staff handled the Camaro Club rush and produced some AMAZING wings! The only bad thing is they don't ship, but definitely worth the trip!

Best wings in Memphis. Crumpy's is one of the original hot wing joints in Memphis, and they have the best sauces. Also, they have excellent customer service. The orders can take a while to get out sometimes, but they are always worth the wait.

This was my second visit here, and it's a pleasant atmosphere. The wings were cooked to order, seasoned just right, and plenty included in the order. Clean interior, 3 TV's, plenty of seating.

Rude and unprofessional staff. Placed a call in order and was told my food would be ready for pick-up after 15 minutes. Arrived at the restaurant only to get turned right around because they were only taking cash at the time. Won't be wasting my time here in the future.

This probaby the best fried fish and chicken I got while on vacation in Memphis! The lady was very nice and talk to us while we ate! Definitely coming back when i come back to Memphis !

BEWARE!!!! Make sure to check your receipt. This location will charge you for things with out telling you. They have a special a special for $7.75 which is supposed to include 3 wing, seasoned ff, roll and drink. There is even a sign thats stated this. I placed an order for 3 specials and this young guy charged me extra for seasoned fries. Now the sign had been up for days because I had went on a night when they were writing the sign out. He would not honor the s=special and still charged me whatever he wanted.. Don't get me wrong the food is good but this place has the WORST staff. If I was in another restaurant they would have apologized and honored their sign this place DID NOT. He act like I was reading the sign wrong.

The food is soo good here ! One of my go to spots for wings ! They have a variety of wing favors to choose from! The fish is really good as well, so are the fried green tomatoes !

Bad customer service waited nearly a hour for my food then when I got to the location and my food ticket was lost is what they told me very unprofessional will not be shopping here again.

Crumpy's is the place for wings! I've only been in memphis for three weeks and have been back several times and will be back for sure.

I love this place! Never been there in person, but I've ordered on DoorDash, and Bitesquad and every time my food has been hot and fresh. I ate the Honey Gold wings today for lunch and it was great. I only mess with this Crumpy's location, because it's quality. If you order from here, try the banana pudding.. it's real good.

I pre-ordered my food, it was not done when I arrived. I had to wait a few minutes and I have a 30 minute lunch. I received my order and my wings were dry, my fries were way overcooked and they gave me literally 6 fries and it was a combo. I asked for fresh and not hard fries so I had to wait, I also asked for more sauce on my dry wings. I ended up waiting an additional almost 13 minutes to only receive better fries but my wings were disgusting and cold as hell. The wings already were warm and all they did was drown my wings in the sauce which was cold. When the lady gave me back my plate, the sauce was leaking in the bag. She did not close the bag up all the way nor did she care that my plate was barely in the bag. I opened my top and there was nothing but sauce everywhere. This was beyond poor fucking service and I paid 13.00 for this meal. By the time I got my piece of a fucking meal, I had ten minutes on lunch left. It was the worst experience at any location I have ever had. I will not be going back to this location or any other location for awhile just because. If I had have had time to go somewhere else I would have just gotten my money back and acted a fool because that was just damn ridiculous. When I got to work, I had to pour the sauce out of my tray. It was just that much sauce.
