"When you need a filling snack to satisfy your hunger until dinnertime, the Korean fried popcorn chicken at Crunchik’n is an outstanding choice. Choose your desired serving size and favorite sauce, including honey soy, honey soy spicy, sweet chili, and sweet chili spicy as the tempting options. Another must-try snack offered at this boardwalk spot is the crunch dog — a Korean corn dog available in hot dog, cheese, and cheese and hot dog combo varieties that’s rolled in batter then topped with panko and fried. Add optional sugar and sauces for a delicious taste you won’t soon forget." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Four stars across the board. Great rice bowls and chicken bites. Rice bowls made with rice and rice noodles - had both the bulgogi and spicy tuna. Nothing eye popping but a really good meal on the boardwalk. I asked for gochujang sauce and they didn’t know what that was 😮

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Delicious food that looks as good in the pictures as it tastes!!

Google
I got the sweet chili popcorn chicken! It was nice flavor overall, although most of the chicken was chewy or over cooked which made it less enjoyable. I also got a side of spicy mayo (extra cost) which was nice as a dip. Service was friendly! I would come back to try some other options!

Google
Ordered the spicy soy chicken bites and 10 dumplings. Service was fantastic, friendly and simple to order. The kitchen was clean and incredibly organized. After walking back to the hotel about 10 minutes away, everything was still crunchy, which was a great sign. Unfortunately, the chicken was a little too overdone, which resulted in a nice crunch followed by a few too many chews. The dumplings were fine, even if they were on the smaller side. The sauce reminded me of a thinned-down version of a sweet and sour sauce, which wasn't my ideal flavor paring, but if you like sweet and sour, you're going to like this. Overall, I'll be back again to try some other dishes, but I don't think the bites will be in my future.

Google
Great selection of food on the menu. Different from everything else they serve on the boardwalk. We ordered the korean garlic soy chicken wings and pork dumplings which didn't last long as my kids snatched them up like seagulls. The soy garlic popcorn chicken were okay. They had a 1-day Sunday, 50% off promo on wing, so we ordered more. The food was on the pricier side, but all worth it for the best wings. Definitely check it out if you're in town.

Never had korean food before. Young lady told me about spicy tuna tacos. Better than mexican. So good. No pics because i had to eat it. Jon is nice too.

Google
Nothing like having a little chicken and beer on vacation. I visit this spot every time I come to Ocean City. The owner is always so kind and generous. Will be back again next year and hopefully my Korean will be even better!

Google
So good!!! Great flavors and variety. Employees are warm, knowledgeable, and confident, which made me feel safe as someone with a food allergy.

Yelp
I normally avoid fried chicken places (can't eat deep fried food) but my in-law recommended this place for their breakfast sandwich; the bulgogi breakfast sandwich. And I'm SO glad wife and I checked it out because that was so delicious! I never thought of having that combination of egg, cheese and bulgogi, but it was genius. I had bought some DevilDog Gochugaru & Ginger sauce from Goodies Gone Wild, added it to my sandwich, and SLAPPED the table hard when I tooka bite of it. 10/10 recommended.

Yelp
Crunchik'n is definitely a must when you're on the boardwalk. Line is long but moves at a decent pace. Beverages come out quick and food not too long afterwards. I enjoyed the hot dog & cheese crunch dog drizzled with spicy mayo, which was super cheesy and filled with about 3 hot dog pieces. If you're in the mood for a turnt up corn dog, this one is for you! It was fried perfectly and had a good crunchy, yet slightly chewy texture. I'd order this without the spicy mayo next time as I'm not sure it really added anything to the crunch dog. I also tried some of the popcorn chicken (the small is the perfect size for a snack), pork dumplings, and beef crunch ball (1 per order). These were also very good, with preference for the popcorn chicken. To drink, I highly suggest the strawberry fruit tea with boba. The boba is cooked perfectly and the strawberry fruit tea isn't too sweet. Get the large, you'll thank me later.

Yelp
The food is PRIMO....its all good....my favorite is the Corn Dog. Due to a recent interaction, I am less inclined to patronize one of my favorite eatery's on the Boards. I was verbally solicited for a tip by the counter person. Why?????? You put an item in a bag and handed it to me. Your job is not a service job, such as a restaurant server, that receives a very low wage and whose income is Tip dependent. When I didn't tip on that blasted Tip pad, I got lots of attitude.

Brad M.

Yelp
This tiny shop front on the OC board with a little bit of a waiting line. Food is made relatively quick and a bell goes off when something is done. Good signal to listen to. They also give you a number to be heard when it's called. We got the crunch dog & veggie crunch ball. Both were hot and a very crispy texture. The cheese inside the dog was melted and had that cheese pull. Maybe a little dipping on the side would help but very good still. We preferred the veggie crunch ball though because it had many different flavors inside. The sauce was great for dipping but it was a little spicy so be warned.

Yelp
Great alternative to boardwalk pizza, we ordered a honey soy chicken sandwich deluxe with all the fixings, 10 crispy pork dumplings, and 10 piece sweet chili bone in wings (which was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy!) washed it all down with a side of pina colada bubble tea upon recommendations with the friendly staff. great lunch on the go, just watch out for those sneaky gulls!

Dani ..

Yelp
Was busy but didn't take too long and i got a chicken sandwich deluxe and it was sooo good. I loved it def recc

Yelp
Clearly a popular spot on the boardwalk! We went during the afternoon on a cold, rainy Wednesday and there was still a line of about 8 people. My only complaint would be the wait. It seemed to take a little bit too long to wait on 4 small items, even after the line in front of us had cleared out. But, I can't complain too much because the food was hot and delicious. I got the crunch dog with hotdog and cheese. They splice alternating chunks of each together. The spicy Mayo was a nice touch on top.

Jessica C.

Yelp
Decent Asian food that is as good as you're going to get at the beach. Had spicy pork bowl and was barely spicy. Came with rice, shredded turnip and daikon, and few vegetables.

Lana S.

Yelp
Yasss I knew they have locations in Philly but when I saw the location on the boardwalk I just had to get some to go (yes I got it for dinner later so I'm sure it's 10x better eating it fresh and hot). I got the large size honey soy garlic popcorn chicken and then beef japchae to go. It took a bit for the order but there were other people waiting around too! The popcorn chicken flavor is amazing. Really hit the spot for my fried chicken craving. The japchae was nice and hot and had great flavors. There was a lot plenty of beef thrown in the noodles. For $32 I got atleast 3 meals which was totally worth it! Next time I'm coming back to try the corn dogs

Gwenn F.

Yelp
Good food a little expensive but love all the new things on the menu this year. People are friendly and love that it's on the boardwalk.

Rebecca S.

Yelp
The spicy tuna tacos and spicy tuna rice bowl are delicious and healthy. My go-to spot for a healthy lunch on the boardwalk.

Joe M.

Yelp
The best food I have ever eaten in my life. I don't know what else to say besides your money is well spent here.

Maria B.

Yelp
Sooooo this was an amazing surprise!!!! My hubby & I searched for something yummy to eat on the boardwalk other than pizza, fries etc ( not that they're all not good understand!) We stopped to look at the menu and a few delicious things jumped out at us so we ordered the crispy chicken tenders & veggie rice balls. OMG-they were VERY good. The tenders were a sticky tempura batter fried to a perfection!!!Go & enjoy- you won't need sorry

Andrea S.

Yelp
We always enjoy coming to Ocean City since our kids were babies this by far is our favorite addition to the boardwalk! Can not wait to have this again!

Sammie D.

Yelp
After passing this place on my daily walks I had to finally stop and try it! The corn dogs were soooo good and they also have bubble tea, and other fun treats! They're super busy but they get orders out so fast!

Christopher S.

Yelp
All of this isn't just a coincidence Just just my own feeling The whole universe is different from yesterday Just just from your happiness The opening lines to "Serendipity" from K-pop supergroup BTS seems appropriate for this Korean fried chicken stand that seems so unexpected in location and quality on the Ocean City boardwalk known more for deep fried Oreos and corn dogs. True to its namesake, the chicken here is expertly double fried with a very satisfying crunch and they do not "chicken out" on making their spicy version in a proper heat range. In addition to their namesake chicken, they also have bubble teas, jap chae, Korean style hot dogs on a stick, and rice bowls topped with traditional Korean proteins. With K dramas and K pop infiltrating the cultural zeitgeist in America, seems inevitable that there is also a culinary invasion coming along for the ride, and I am all for it.

Yelp
My family tried the corndogs last year, and we really enjoyed them. This year, we got a lot more. We tried one of each chicken sandwich with sweet chili sauce, the 5 piece chicken tenders with honey soy Glaze, Crunch Balls with sauce, 2 corn dogs, Beef Noodle bowl and 2 boba drinks. Total was over $80 (not a complaint, just a statement) The sandwiches were delicious. Chicken was gigantic, cooked perfectly, and the chili glaze was on point. I asked the employee if I should get the tenders or the popcorn chicken and steered me towards the 5 piece tenders that were also freshly cooked to order and delicious. Honey soy was nice. We ordered the Crunch Balls, and although it was tasty, there was only one in the box with the sauce. The photo showed 2. I'd get it again, but I'd clarify the price and quantity. The Beef Noodle Bowl had a sweet dressing. We all enjoyed it . The noodles had a jelly like texture. The Corn Dogs were very tasty except for the fact that we ordered them with dogs, and both were cheese only. Drinks were enjoyable even though the sealing machine wasn't working I'll give 5 stars on all of the food. But 4 stars for completing the order accurately.

Lauren M.

Yelp
I had a friend tell me that if I liked Korean fried chicken I had to try this place. It's just a place along the boardwalk to order, no seating but we sat on one of the many benches that line the boardwalk. I ordered 5 wings thinking this wouldn't be enough to fill me up (but it cost almost $11 for just 5 wings). They were pretty big so I appreciated that. The sauce was good, but not as great as what I get at BonChon. A good amount of rice for my side order. I didn't have any cash left so I had to use my card and they added an extra $2 credit card fee so my total for this was about $18.

Dan K.

Yelp
I'm compelled to add a review for them after time and time again of awesome food. Consistently great. My wife, son and I all get different things on the menu (crunchdog, cheese crunchdog, popcorn chicken, wings, chicken sandwich) and this place nails it every time. This is a must-get on the OC boardwalk for food.

Bill S.

Yelp
Good for boardwalk food. They do a good job with their wings and popcorn chicken. My wife hade a rice bowl that was good as well. Will go back.

Vincenzo B.

Yelp
Good Jekdjdn ek is is is what eke is ejww ek week wk week is Jew Jew Jew wow wow wow wow

Poppy Branch T.

Yelp
branch and dj suki got food poisoning.... throw up and diarrhea for days. trolls are sure its a good place but the trolls will not be returning

Pamela M.

Yelp
Great Japchae.. although a long wait.. worth every second of it! Each bite was amazing!

dontpourgasolineonrabbits o.

Yelp
I get dinner here every year on vacation and never had a bad meal. The tofu rice bowl with honey soy sauce is my go-to. It's a good sized portion and the sweet flavors of the tofu and sauce are balanced well with the acidic red cabbage. Milk teas are also good here. They aren't watered down with ice and the tapioca pearls are slightly sweet. Employees have always been friendly and efficient. While overall a great place, I'd recommend eating your food back at a house or hotel. The rice bowls are not the best walking food and having any of it fall or get snatched up by a seagull is a sad time because the food is so good :)

Emily H.

Yelp
The corn dog was good! Very crispy and the cheese was gooey and it had a lot of crunch! The service is a little slow but probably because they make everything to order which I think is great but sucks when you waiting in the hot sun! Haha but overall I would recommend! Def a fun spot to hit while on the OC boardwalk!

Daniella C.

Yelp
Probably the best food I've ever eaten. The Korean hot dog made me teary eyed it was that good

Bridget R.

Yelp
The best!! Love this place and come here anytime I'm on the beach. Recommend everything

Matt R.

Yelp
I'm going to keep this 5 star train running after getting a little bit of everything on the menu delivered. The best part...the twice fried chicken. Got the bites and they were super crispy arguably the item order. Next up were the super crispy dumpling. Deep fried, lots of flavor with a small mildly spicy sweet red dipping sauce. The tacos were massive. A la carte they are about $4.50 each which is expensive but they are stuffed full. Seemed to come on a flour tortilla each with different toppings. The pork and chicken came with shredded lettuce while the tuna came with a sweet chili sauce and julienne cucumber strips. A crunchkin beef ball came with the meal too which was amazing. Spicy creamy siriachi dipping sauce came with it. Order a bulgogi beef cheesesteak a la carte as well to sample everything. Only ate half of it because we were so full from everything else.

Jonathan R.

Yelp
What a great surprise finding legit KFC on the boardwalk here in Ocean City NJ I went with a dozen well done bone in wings, half spicy garlic & soy and half spicy chili. The wings were large, cooked perfectly and spicy. The chili were my favorite and have a nice kick to it. The soy were slightly less successful but very good nonetheless. The challenge was eating them on a bench as they are a messy delight. I ordered the pork dumplings and while they were fresh and piping hot they were ok in my opinion... Next time I will try the boneless wings as I would imagine they are easier to eat.... If you are craving KFC hit this spot.

Lauren S.

Yelp
We're always looking for a quick bite on the boardwalk. I remember seeing this place before and wanted to go - my husband and I love Korean fried chicken. We ordered a plate of 10 wings and they let us split it into 2 different sauces which I like- because I like to try different flavors. They were very tasty. They were crispy and crunchy, the sauce was good. And the chicken was moist. I also got some dumplings too and they were good as well- but the wings were definitely the standout item. We would go back when we're at the shore again. I see they have a location in Philadelphia maybe we can try to check out, but if we go to Philadelphia we are usually eating at other places. I hope they open more locations in the suburbs of Philly then we would definitely go.

Cheese H.

Yelp
So much more food then we expected. I'm a big guy and would have been super happy with the small sizes. Very polite service, too. Would eat there again in a heartbeat.

Breanna P.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place to get amazing Korean food, this is the place to go. Their honey soy chicken is by far my favorite thing to get.

Craig W.

Yelp
I've tried the location in Philly and it was really good so I figured I'd take a break from the usual boardwalk fries and pizza and have myself some Korean flavor. We got a hot dog & cheese stick, cheese stick, kimchi, spicy honey soy popcorn chicken and sweet chili popcorn chicken The cheese pull on the sticks were ridiculous even after driving back to the house where I surely thought the cheese would have congealed and the outside breading would have been soggy. Neither was the case. I highly recommend getting toppings on it though. I did ketchup and spicy Mayo. The kimchi had an odd taste to it and tasted different than the center city location or any other kimchi I've eaten. Tasted overly fishy. Could have just been a weird batch so I passed on that. The popcorn chickens were still very crispy despite being covered in sauce. The meat was also very tender. A small portion was enough to fill us up so don't go overboard because the chunks you get are a pretty good size.

Angela C.

Yelp
This is how much I loved this place. On Day 1, we walked by here while on the boardwalk, and the Korean fried chicken wings caught my attention. I ordered some with the pitaya bowl and it was exactly what I was craving. I think I got the sweet and spicy sauce with the wings and they were done perfectly. The sweetness and coldness from the pitaya bowl was also a great complement. The next day I was craving Crunchik'n again so I came in the morning, before their full menu had opened. So I just ordered a smoothie and a bubble tea - boba was a great texture, very chewy (I'm very picky about this since I make my own bubble tea at home). Later that same day I was remembering the picture of the Japchae Noodles I had seen advertised outside, so I biked back to the boardwalk literally just to order and eat these noodles. It took me 30 minutes total and I went so far out of my way just to order this, and it was WORTH IT! Delicious. Plus - the girl taking my order, Jackie, was so sweet and friendly. Give this girl a raise!

David L.

Yelp
There were two of Korean Fried Chicken establishments in OCNJ, a couple of blocks from each other. Now there is only one. Crunchik'n, which has a location in Center City, Philly is the one left standing. Their food offerings are very similar: wings, rice bowls, small plates like japchae (Korean noodles); but Crunchik'n partners with a bubble tea shop as well (name slips my mind). This is a food stand only, so plan to eat on the boardwalk or beach. Packaging is very friendly for that. We had a couple of rice bowls. It includes a protein, japchae, rice, pickled veggies, and lettuce. Nothing spectacular. The chicken taco was good, too. The star of the show is the chicken wings. Though a bit overpriced right now (possibly a result of chicken shortages), it's what I would come for again and again. Nice size, meaty, and a nice honey soy glaze. Right now, it's selling for $17 for ten wings, but hopefully that's temporary. As I said in my older review of K-Pop (the one that closed down), KFC is a risky option in an area saturated with pizza shops and standard boardwalk fare. Crunchik'n seems to be making it work and the crowds in front of the shop are encouraging.

Mike I.

Yelp
If there was a SIX star review these guys would get it. Fantastic menu. Great service. AUTHENTIC, CREATIVE and the most well executed food on the boardwalk. Do yourself a favor and MAKE it happen.

Mason B.

Yelp
The food is very good. We order from them a few times when we are down on vacation. Definitely recommend it

Kali A.

Yelp
The food here is FANTASTIC!!!!!! Please do yourself a favor and get the bulgogi beef tacos. They are absolutely insane and one of the higher quality meals you can get on the boardwalk. The Korean corn dogs are also amazing. It sounds weird, but get them with sugar, ketchup, and honey mustard. It's a weird combo, but REALLLLLLLY good!!!!!!

Jammy M.

Yelp
Spotted this little gem, and they always had a line. The menu sold me. Tried a variety of their fare but the best things were the beef crunchballs!! Talk about full flavor profile bursting with crunch even when gently reheated in the microwave. Somewhat spicy, but it paired so well with that sauce. Skip the crunch dog. Get the crunchball. Flavor bombs! Crunchballs all day everyday!

Marilyn S.

Yelp
When you're hungrily wandering the Boardwalk looking for something vegetarian and delicious, this takeout place provides a remarkably delicious option. You can choose from various selections, both vegetarian and chicken-loving, to customize your meal. The prices are reasonable and the facility appears to be clean and efficient. We had the Korean Chicken Rice Bowl, Veggie Japchae, Spinach and Kale Dumplings (much more delicious than they sound), and Veggie Crunch Ball. It's a great place when you want to just find a comfy bench on the boardwalk and munch while you watch the waves hit the beach.

Christa K.

Yelp
Though they aren't new this year, we finally got to try them for the first time. Two thumbs up for the popcorn chicken. We also tried the chicken and beef dumplings, which were good, but not our favorite in comparison. They could benefit from a few things; more seating, iced tea or lemonade as a beverage option, and soy sauce for dumpling dipping.

Christine G.

Yelp
Best wings on the Boardwalk. Coated well and fried just right. Will definitely come back!

Ryan C.

Yelp
My fiancée and I recently visited their boardwalk location two times. Their food was absolutely fabulous. The honey soy popcorn chicken is some of the best I've ever had. We also really enjoyed their tacos. The beef was tender and delicious. It's common for portions to be smaller on the boardwalk, as the leases for business are astronomically high. Somehow, this business manages to keep the price to portion ratio generous towards the consumer. This means everything to us. If you want authentic Korean food at an excellent price. THIS is the spot. No questions asked. Thank you to the wonderful owners and staff. You guys are a real treat.

Amanda L.

Yelp
Updating my review even though it hasn't changed much. This place continues to blow my mind, especially during COVID. They are taking their employees and customers health very seriously during this time which I can't say every place on the boardwalk is doing, so it's very reassuring. The management here is outstanding. They have a new item called a crunchdog which is incredible. It is a hotdog surrounded by mozzarella, deep fried in panko. There are a variety of sauces you can choose to top it off with as well. I got the spicy mayo and then one with honey mustard. Both were delicious but the spicy mayo was hands down my favorite. You never forget your first love so I can't leave this review without mentioning the honey soy wings. They are THE BEST WINGS IN THE WORLD. They are deliciously crispy and flavorful, and juicy on the inside. Do yourself a favor and try them out!

Jia L.

Yelp
I got the popcorn chicken and they were so crunchy and good! It costed around $13 for the large box. Going back to try their fried chicken, dumplings, bowls and crunch balls. They also serve bubble tea. Such a good place to find someone different and so delicious other than your normal pizza and subs that are all across the boardwalk. This is one of the places I must eat from when I visit OC!

Len S.

Yelp
Korean fried chicken. The place is very small with a few places to sit if you like. They may be small but they pack a big punch. The popcorn chicken is very good. We tried the sweet chili spicy sauce. Just enough heat to make you want more. The pork dumplings were also good. Neither is your typical boardwalk food. However it was a nice change. They offered some interesting dishes like kimchi cheese fries or japchae. Or how about some bubble tea with lychee jelly. Yea not your boardwalk fries and pizza. We did like the food the service is a little slow and confusing as to who is ordering and who is waiting to pick up. Like I said it's a small place but with interesting food to try, enjoy

Donce M.

Yelp
Love this place and so does the kiddos. Stopped by for rice bowls for my husband and me as we were at the beach and it did not disappoint. Gave the counterman lip cause I thought the chicken wasn't boneless at first glance but they were just big hunks of fried chicken covered with sauce. The chicken is a family favorite and eating it on the beach was yummy. Chicken came with some sort of clear noodles, red cabbage and of course rice. The taste is scrumptious. I shall return.

Joshua V.

Yelp
Probably our favorite place on the boardwalk in OC!! Great menu, great food every time. Their crunch dogs are amazing. Their wings are also amazing. Boba always fresh! You must check them out next time your waking along the beach and want a snack!

Terri C.

Yelp
What a wonderful surprise to find Korean comfort food down this Jersey shore boardwalk in Ocean City! I welcome the change of scenery from the standard beach fare. Note that the address on yelp is wrong. I walked to the 1348 address listed on yelp and there was a sign that they moved to 1138 boardwalk. This is a counter service window with a couple of tables to eat-in next door. The next door business is a shaved ice/fruit bowl dessert place that is owned by the same owners. The menu has a great variety to choose from. They offer Korean fried chicken wings, popcorn chicken with different sauces, rice bowls, crunch balls, tacos , bulgogi cheesecake, dumplings , bubble tea, sparkling fruit ades among other items. We ordered one of the combos (popcorn chicken, dumpling with a drink). The popcorn chicken and dumplings are served in a little "cup" that fits snugly on top of the drink. It's a cute idea so that you can hold it all with one hand while walking along the boardwalk. The popcorn chicken had great crunch, the sauce (spicy honey soy) was good, although a tad salty for me. The dumplings are not to be missed! Next time, I am going to get a full order of the dumplings. They are fried and the crunch texture is really good. We also ordered the chicken taco. This was good too but note that it comes with 1 taco. I thought there was more from the menu picture. There are so many things to try here. I have to come back next time.
