Delicious food, the roasted duck was cooked perfectly. Large array of drink options ranging from craft cocktails, a multitude of wines and homemade mocktails. The restaurant can get busy later in the evening, so wait times for food can be long. Food was presented well and tasted great. Reasonably priced for the quality of the dishes.

We randomly walked into this cozy restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. Every dish was delicious, and the waitstaff were incredibly friendly. We had a wonderful evening here. Thank you ❤️

I always try to leave the review I wish others would write! First of all - this is by far the best restaurant we ate at in Anchorage and honestly one of the best we’ve had, and we are big foodies. That being said, we rated the service low because although our waitress was attentive and incredible it took 3 hours total from start to finish. Appetizers -*Oysters baked - oh my gosh probably the best ones we have had and we live on the coast! -Ravioli was creamy and delicious -Goddess salad was also very delicious Meals *-The salmon special was excellent. The flavors were incredible. One of the best salmon entrees we’ve ever had. It came on top of Parmesan risotto. There was a poached egg on top (which was delivered later kind of taking away from the overall presentation). Overall an amazing dish. -The prime rib entree was good but wouldn’t say it stood out when compared to the fish entree. Dessert They were out of baked Alaska so we got the crème brûlée and the chocolate graham cracker dessert. They were both delicious. Overall great experience. Only suggestion is that the restaurant could certainly benefit from some improved efficiency to decrease the length of stay for customers.

Sometimes that's okay but it's easy to not really feel like you're actually in the restaurant so we opted to wait a little longer until a table opened up in the main dining area. Didn't take long! We started with the Rosso red wine flight...the owner is a sommelier so we wanted to entrust them with our experience. We're not wine experts and found the three offerings good enough for our tastes. My wife had the salmon special which had lots of ingredients on it including gifs, rice balls and stuffed squash all of which she liked. She found the salmon to be a little overcooked though it had a nice char on it. I got the Veggie Wellington. Our server told us this used to be a Christmastime season-only dish but it's her favorite dish and she convinced them to add it permanently to the menu. It's the only vegetarian main dish on the menu, though a number of vegetarian salads and small plates are offered including Crispy Brussels, Toasted Goat Cheese, Ravioli, Baked Mac and Cheese and Polenta. So vegetarians won't go hungry. I liked the portobello-filled wellington...the first few bites were tasty though it got rich kind of quick. It came with a side of broccolini which was overcooked...not as al dente as it should have been...or at least as I would have liked it. It's a nice place. Our server was very friendly. With limited vegetarian options in Anchorage we'd come back again and try some of the small plates we didn't get this time around.

Truly delightful wine bistro. Wide range of very high quality food (awesome oysters) and delightful flavor packed vegan options with wine pairings for any type of combination. They offer curated wine flights for those of you can’t seem to pick depending on your options. The waiter is also very quick with recommendations if you need. Best baked Alaska have had too! I had the schwarma plate.

We were recommended a visit to Crush by a local and looked forward to dining there during our one night in Anchorage last Thursday. While we were seated promptly and the drinks were great, our dinner took over an hour to arrive without communication from our server. When we finally asked for our salad first or crackers to tide over our hungry teen (after 55 minutes), we were denied both, told the kitchen was slammed and that they would get our meal out to us asap. Dishes trickled out over 20-25 minutes, meaning we couldn’t eat together. The food was delicious, but the service was disjointed and disappointing. Despite the server’s apology and mention of possibly comping items, nothing was removed from our bill. When we asked about it thinking she maybe forgot she had said that, first she came back with no, there’s nothing she can do. We told her how disappointing that was under the circumstances, and she said she understood. She then came back again and offered to comp a 3rd dessert - odd, since we didn’t need it and had already paid for two. It felt like a missed opportunity to turn a frustrating experience into a positive one. The bill was over $200 so choosing not to comp a glass of wine or a dessert that would have cost them $5 or 6 (if even) is just bad business. We had planned to buy a bottle of red to bring back to the hotel room. The tip was cut in half and the $20 they would have made on the wine sale forfeited...all for what exactly? Lost $, this bad review, and no future recommendation from us. In conclusion, we were confused and disappointed by the lack of hospitality. Would not recommend.

Incredible food, staff and atmosphere. I had the feta-stuffed prosciutto wrapped dates, curried scallops and baked Alaska… it was all incredible and I would highly recommend! I’ll be back next time I’m in Anchorage.

The food is delicious and the wine list is curated. Modern cuisine that take the best of every food culture. Fantastic vegan options. The staff is kind and prepared, particularly Rob, the owner, and Paula.

We were excited to try this restaurant in downtown Anchorage. It was easy to make a reservation ahead of time on Yelp. The servers were extremely nice and helpful. They were pretty packed around 6pm on a weeknight. The ambiance was nice - this would be a great date night spot. Though the pictures had looked delicious online, we found that overall everything we ordered was a bit on the heavier side, as the dishes came with lots of cream-based sauces and were salted a bit too much for our taste. We wish that the flavors had been lighter and more fresh. Overall, the food was more of a 3.5/5. What we ordered: - Miso sablefish salad: The wasabi dressing on this was a bit too spicy, even for spice-lovers like us. However, the fish was cooked well. This dish could benefit from some acidity to balance out the heavy sausage, tempura bits, and cream-based dressing. - King oyster mushroom special: This came with charred bok choy and mini popcorn. The mushrooms were great texture-wise and very succulent. However, this dish was way too salty overall, so much that we couldn't finish it. - Pan roasted halibut: The fish was slightly overcooked, making it a bit tough. However, the edamame mash with very unique and tasty. We could do without the miso cream sauce, which was a bit too much for the dish. - Stuffed chicken breast special: The potatoes that this came with were delicious and indulgent. The chicken was cooked nicely though drenched with a heavy cream-based sauce, which again we felt didn't add much to the dish and weighed it down.

I can't recall many meals better than the one we had tonight @crushbistro_bottleshops. Let's start with Cassidy being one of the best servers around. For appetizers we had fresh and baked oysters along with prosciutto wrapped dates with feta. The entrees were to die for. The halibut and salmon were unbelievable. What stole the show was the burrata stuffed wild boar meatball. Holy cow. A huge thanks to our Airbnb host for the recommendation. If you're ever in Anchorage, make this a stop.

WOW!! This food was incredible and so were the drinks. I wasn't too hungry so I got the polenta with goat cheese and mushrooms. Only complaint is that the polenta wasn't very crispy. But otherwise all of the flavors were incredible. My husband got the chicken schnitzel which he was on the fence about but he was so glad he got it. The cheesy pasta was freakin to die for and the chicken was also good. The mushroom gravy just gave the dish that extra punch it needed. The service was good. Overall a very cute place, loved the space and my husband loved the whiskey selection

I chose Crush on our recent trip to Anchorage because a local friend recommended it, and I'm so glad I did! We called ahead to make a reservation, which turned out to be wise because just after we sat down the restaurant filled up. The Crispy Brussels were AMAZING! We also enjoyed the salmon, the Pad Thai and the fry bread. Three of us split the Baked Alaska, which was also very good, although the cake at the bottom was a bit too solid. The service was fine and we could easily hear each other. I'd gladly go here again.

FAVORITE RESTAURANT OF 2023! We went for a business meal while in town and oh my, I am dying to come back! If you're in town this is a must. Crispy Brussels- Perfectly crisp bread crumbs w/parmesan and poached egg. Deviled Eggs- NY deli style, tangy but sweet with mustard. Crispy Polenta- A MUST, goat cheese, spinach and mushrooms. Veggie Wellington- Butternut Squash, portabella mushroom, carmalized onions with puffed pastry layers. This was full of flavors for a vegetarian dish. Baked Rigatoni- comfort food, homemade noodles, classic. Pan Roasted Halibut- Local caught, baked to perfection. This was the best halibut I have ever eaten. Buttered Noodled (kiddo) fresh made! YUM Mascarpone Cheesecake- 5/5***** Baked Alaska- enjoyed 3/5*** Bee's Knees- Gin Cocktail Kahiltna Old Fashion -Four Roses Bourbon Cocktail Recommendations we enjoyed!

The scallop pad Thai was the best dish. The crispy Brussels sprouts dish with poached egg was a salt lick. We had to send it back. The steamed clams were over spiced. Service is wonderful. Feel the food would benefit from some editing. Some restraint. Too much going on in all the dishes we tried.

This place is AMAZING! I saw it in passing a few days earlier in my trip and I wished it was open. I found it open my last night in Anchorage, it did not disappoint! Staff were AWESOME & the food was SO DELICIOUS! I couldn't have a better experience or recommendation! Just GO THERE!

The food was fantastic! I had an eel special with crispy rice as an appetizer. The Korean glaze was so delicious on the eel. It was perfectly cooked. The crunchy rice was a nice treat along with the yolk of the fried egg. It was a creative dish. For dinner I had the veggie Wellington. WOW!!! The layers of vegetables were perfectly cooked and the blend was fantastic. The bleu cheese creme sauce was light with a hint of a bite. It melded very well with the earthiness of the vegetables. I loved the decor inside. Simple but fun. I sat at a bar table and was grateful for the foot rests. My server was fantastic and gave me excellent explanations of items on the menu. I felt taken care of and felt valued. Thank you for making my first Crush experience wonderful. I look forward to visiting again.

Super duper good food here. Was not too fond of the Pork Belly Carnitas Appetizer as there was just too much going on for me and my friend's preferences but each individual part of the dish was still good when snacked on separately. Everything else was amazing and super spot on. I would highly suggest that you get the s'mores dessert if nothing else because it was hands down the absolute best dessert I have ever had at a nicer restaurant or any food place for that matter, hands down. I'm not even really a s'mores lover either but that thing was nothing short of perfection. I'm drooling thinking about it. The ambiance was pretty cute and trendy and definitely more laid back. I would say Crush is on the more casual side of the higher end restaurants we have around here. Definitely check it out if you have a chance.

We dined here for my birthday last year and it was truly the best. I love their wine menu and the fact that they'll explain the complexities of wine to you. Every single dish is fantastic, though. I can't pick a favorite.

One of the best meals we've had in Alaska. Seasonal specials, excellent food, kind staff, perfectly sized portions, and of course, incredible wine selection. Can't wait to come back!

Always amazing! Consistently great food, cordial servers, and an excellent wine list. The owners put a lot of effort into the menu, wine selection (they own a couple of wine shops ='s they know their stuff), and staffing. My favorite place hands down - I always feel that the food quality is more than worth what they are charging. Not cheap but it's a bargain in terms of taste profile. quality ingredients & ambiance...

This was our favorite meal in Anchorage by a landslide! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We didn't have a reservation so we had to wait a bit, but we enjoyed our time waiting in the Crush bottle shop next door where we bought some delicious wines and chose one to complement our dinner. They were able to seat us relatively quickly on a Thursday, but I would highly recommend reservations if dining here on a weekend. I can't remember all the details of what we ordered, but the appetizers was a duck pate with morel mushrooms which was delicious, and my entree was nothing short of orgasmic. I almost did my Meg Ryan imitation from When Harry met Sally, but there were some families present, so I restrained myself. The ambiance was just right for a wine bar in Anchorage... kind of casual but very classy. The only problem is that they aren't open on Sunday nights because we were craving a return visit, however we fortunately discovered the Pump House and had another fantastic meal there.

Meh. The service and ambiance are great, but the food is pretty mediocre, especially for the price. Also, for a wine bistro, their selection of wines is pretty underwhelming. We've been to Crush several times over the last year, and the food has been hit or miss. Honestly, it seems like they're trying too hard.

All the other dinner fair is very sparse, and you can't make a meal on it before you go to the concerts and plays at the auditorium, their wine selection is off the charts! I highly recommend their French Malbec very rare, but if you can get some grab a case!

VOTED best meal on my vacation! I had a lot of bookmarks for this trip, but someone with us has a lot of food restrictions that negated 99% of my choices. "YEE- HAW" was my reaction when she said she could find something to eat here. 1 person in our party had a flight out at 7pm, so we made 5:30 reservations on a Friday. This place is on caliber with any San Francisco restaurant - it has a unique (and local) menu items combined with great service. I ordered and loved a specialty cocktail with local AK gin and cinnamon, I don't recall ever seeing cinnamon in a cocktail before We started with some of the most delicious brussels sprouts I have ever had, with Panko bread crumbs, herbs, cheese and a poached egg!!! Hubs and I spit the polenta appetizer and the double cut pork chops. Pork chops was perfect juicy and smoky, tender and savory - also a Huge cut of meat. The polenta was also perfection, tangly with goat cheese, etc,! - crispy and tender. We spilt (okay I ate 75% of it) the s'mores dessert, which is a chocolate mouse covered in salted homemade graham cracker crumbs and a torched marshmallow topping. It was the SALTED crumbs in the middle that elevated this dessert to new heights. Our friends had the salmon and the halibut and they loved theirs. Our server was great - I forget his name, but he moved to Alaska for love over 20 years ago and is still here. Price was very reasonable for food and service. If you are a foodie - you must come here!

Fabulous place with great food and atmosphere. We were actually walking by this restaurant and the our eye caught a glimpse of the food and the smell and we instantly had to try it. It did not disappoint, so far this steak was the best I've tasted in Alaska so far. The sauces and all the extra features provided the best addition to steak I've ever tasted. Atmosphere so perfect, nice and quite, great for date or double dates with friends. The staff was very nice and provides exceptional service. I would highly recommend Crush!

The Crush experience is about well-crafted wine selections that you can't get elsewhere in Anchorage paired with consistently innovative and delicious food. Their menu ideas and preparations are fresh, current, locally sourced, and top notch. Their craft cocktail menu is fantastic as well!

Food was outstanding - would have loved to have tried more things on the menu. We tried the polenta with mushrooms a sherry cream sauce, spinach and sun dried tomatoes and a shaved fennel green apple pecan mixed salad followed by a fantastic red salmon with incredible smoked purple potatoes and superbly seasoned shiitakes and bok choy all on some mild aioli. Cole had a really delicious (albeit a little gristly and fatty) steak au poivre with way too many fries. We finished with an amazing baked alaska with pistachio ice cream. Wine was great and the wine flights are a relative bargain ($16 for 3 half pours vs $11 for a glass) Service was friendly but clueless (as in the server struggling to answer can you tell me about this tasting flight? And the bartender had to look at the soda fountain to work out what soft drinks he had available!)

Had a really nice meal here! We split the red wine tasting and it was a perfect way to try a few of their featured wines. We started with the goat cheese salad - this was amazing! I got the gnocchi with peas & pesto. It was pretty good bit not my favorite. My husband got the rigatoni and it was SO GOOD. Overall a good experience, service was a little slow - but I'd still reccomend.

Food, service and ambiance were all top notch. Quaint little restaurant with friendly & professional service. We were only in Anchorage for two days. We went to Crush on our 1st night and loved it SOOO much that we went back for our 2nd evening. We had the baked salmon special, fish & chips and baked Alaska one evening. We had the vegetarian Wellington, butter chicken & Marscarpone cheesecake the other. All dishes were outstanding. Highly recommend !!!

Crush quickly became our go-to spot for pandemic-era take & bake, as their menu was always approachable and the meals delicious, even at home! We were so excited to return to the restaurant while a friend was in town visiting, and it did not disappoint. We shared everything - mostly because we couldn't decide and wanted to try as much as possible. We began with the crab artichoke dip, a rose flight, plus a Pink 75 and a My Blue Heaven... all of these were excellent choices, and I'd make them again in a heartbeat. The crab artichoke dip was creamy, perfectly salted and not overwhelmingly cheesy - just the right amount, accompanied by the softest bread that simply melted in your mouth. Next up were the oysters, both specials, raw and baked - and they were excellent, Alaskan oysters, bit briny and large, and the bloody mary shaved ice was very fun. They were sadly overshadowed by the surprise hit of the evening, the special appetizer scallops that arrived beautifully seared and arranged in a tic-tac-toe style with scrumptious offerings to accompany them. There were homemade pickles, a gorgeous arrangement of eggplant, baby boy chow, seaweed chips, I could go on - check out the picture, because it was easily the best thing we ordered probably in Anchorage this go-round. We used the bread from the dip (no, of course we couldn't let them take the soft bread!) to mop up the sauces from the scallops, they were so delicious. For entrees, we shared the potato gnocchi, crispy polenta and toasted goat cheese salad. While not usually one to favor salads, I can say with gusto that I would order this again and again, with my only complaint being that I wish there were more goat cheese! The potato gnocchi came with a creamy marsala and fresh mushrooms, all of which were a perfect compliment to the slightly pan roasted gnocchi cooked to perfection, like little pillows of happy potato pasta (that's the translation for gnocchi, right???). It was a perfect meal, and we will surely be back again soon. Cheers!

We ate here prior to seeing Hamilton. It was our first time but came highly recommended (we're from Juneau). The food was very good, the wine recommendations spot on and the service very attentive. The next time we're in Anchorage, I'd like to head back when we have more time and sample more of the wine list.

Loved this place. It was snowy out and just stumbled by. The server was absolutely amazing. He walked us through the menu and we ended up with some of the best shishito peppers I've ever had, a bubbling bowl of mac and cheese, a butter chicken, and one amazing burger with high end bacon and blue cheese. Oh, and the fries, heaven.

I enjoyed the flat iron steak, which was great, but I was jealous of the size and presentation of the halibut. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean and inviting. I will be working my way through their dinner and drink options soon.

Best overall meal I've enjoyed in awhile regardless of city. Super friendly staff, professional service, and a warm and inviting decor, this was a great find on a chilly November evening in downtown Anchorage. And the food...superb. I enjoyed the bone-in stuffed pork chop as did my business partner. We were both impressed. That said, the Vietnamese-inspired crepe appetizer featured octopus and perfectly rendered pork belly was a highlight of the evening for me. A well-stocked assortment of wine, craft cocktail, and local microbrews complements a creative and imaginative menu that they perfectly executed at every turn. If you're in Anchorage and looking for fresh ingredients turned into delicious meals by a talented crew, you should look to give Crush a try.

Great food, great wine and wonderful ambiance. The Pad Thai is fabulous, but we also go here for wine and shareables ....one of my most favorite places in Anchorage!

I absolutely love this restaurant. One of my favorite in Anchorage. Not only does is supply amazing and unique wines, with continually fluctuating and changing wine lists that go fairly deep, but they also have a phenomenal list of uniquely crafted cocktails, and amazing food to boot. Whether it's for a drink an apps kind of night or a special occasion dinner this is the spot. Additionally, the staff could not be more welcoming and personal. After my second visit the server remembered my boyfriend and I and it felt very personal and special and he has always been so wonderful. Thanks for everything, see you next time!

This place is my wife's favorite! We love the rigatoni and the mascarpone cheesecake. They have a great wine selection; probably one of the best in town! Staff and management are top notch, professional, and you leave feeling it was money well spent. This is is the best place ever!

It looks like an older spot and they close pretty early. However, the dinner menu seemed good. The baked Alaska was almost really good. Exception was hard, disc like cookie at the bottom. Loved the berries and meringue.

I usually come here for just wine and the mother board. But I got to have actual dinner here a few weeks ago! Their halibut is the best I've ever had. All the flavors worked so well together. Every bite was so satisfying. I noticed they didn't have the mother board on the menu anymore. Not sure if it's a permanent or temporary thing. Hopefully temporary!

I loved this little place we stumbled upon on our trip. It's a wine bar but they have cocktails too. They are Covid aware and have mainly outdoor seating but you can still sit inside, just scattered, and the servers all wear masks. The reason I gave 4 stars was because some things I really loved, and somethings weren't that great so it's hit or miss. The hits: wine, Brussel sprouts (loved that they added a poached egg!), elote, and the mushroom gnocchi. The misses - Modern Love cocktail, butter chicken (no flavor) I would definitely be back though. It's a fun atmosphere and I like their wine selection.

I rarely give five-star reviews; this place deserves it. This was my first time dining at this restaurant which was recommended by friends and family. It was a special occasion dinner which we hosted for a party of 17, all from out of town. You can understand we were nervous about such a large dinner at such a pricy restaurant we had never visited before. The staff worked with me before the occasion to select two wines, which would be replenished as the bottles were quickly drained - we had six bottles on the table at all times, and refills appeared like magic. Our group was a little... chaotic, in our ordering but the staff handled it marvelously. We were constantly ordering, beer, wine, cocktails, plates of appetizers, even after the entrees had been cleared away. All of our main plates arrived within a minute or two of each other, which I acknowledge was quite a feat by the service and kitchen. The food was uniformly outstanding. I had the halibut, which was served in a buttery sauce that was simply delicious. Several members of our group had the salmon special - even I liked that one and I don't particularly care for salmon. We probably had every appetizer and dessert on the menu, as well as a selection of beer, cocktails, wines by the glass, aperitifs and digestifs. Everyone had a great time, and was impressed by the experience. $1700 well-spent. I absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant - they made our special occasion a bit more special.

Received a gift card from a friend to come here and I must say, we really enjoyed it. It's loud and there isn't anything special about the ambiance or service, but the food is delicious. We were highly satisfied with with what we ordered. They had a great bar menu as well. Craft beer, unique wines, and unique craft cocktails. They don't have a big menu for their large plates, but it has good variety (everything from seafood to steak). I had the lamb large plate and the portion size was great, I had enough for leftovers. The presentation of the food was very professional and boutique looking. The meat was so juicy & tender, it was slightly on the overly salty side, but the tahini and steamed zucchini helped mellow it out. This place isn't very big so I would encourage making reservations, especially if you have a large party. Only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is because I didn't like how loud it was and the atmosphere, but the food itself is definitely worth 5 stars.

Highly recommended bistro in downtown Anchorage. It was a free blocks from our hotel. I found it on yelp, and based on the reviews, made a reservation. In glad i did! There was an hour wait with one when we got there! The place has a welcoming but hip vibe. The drink menu is amazing. I love wine flights, and they had creative ones to choose from. But then i saw the cocktails! Yum!!! I had an Irish monk, with rum and bendictine, boozy and flavorful. My friend had the one with fresh blueberries. Everything we had was delish. The oysters had a very creative relish. The feta stuffed dates wrapped in prosciutto w great. The crispy polenta with vegetables was big and great and easily shared. I liked the curry ceasar salad, but it was way overdressed. Great spot. Ill be back.
