East Bay Bar Crush’d Readies for Opening With 24 Wines on Tap | Eater SF

"Located at 312 Railroad Way in Danville, Crush’d Wine Bar + Kitchen is the newest venture from chef Francis Hogan (of Pleasanton’s Sabio on Main) debuting on Friday, August 16; the spot leans into a 24-wine-on-tap program for sustainability rather than trendiness, with Hogan noting that each keg replaces roughly 25 bottles and eliminates much of the packaging waste (corks, capsules, labels, wires). The opening list will showcase wines such as a pinot noir from Belle Glos, a cabernet franc from Steven Kent, a rosé from Las Positas, and a garnacha from Epoch Estate Wines, and Hogan emphasizes giving those wines the proper temperature and treatment the keg system can provide. The seasonal, “elevated but not pretentious” food menu is designed to complement the wine and includes a grilled cheese tartine made with a blend of three local cheeses on croissant bread from Firebrand Bakery topped with black truffle honey, in-house pretzel knots with a rotating cheese fondue, a Hokkaido scallop crudo with cucumber and gremolata, and a charcuterie and cheese station at the end of the bar where a hand-cranked red Berkel flywheel slicer is used for artisan boards; there are also caviar and tinned-fish options. Drinks include seven cocktails focused on boutique spirits and seasonal ingredients (notably the Blueberry Bliss Smash, made with blueberries from Triple Delight preserved and infused into vodka plus Triple Sec, simple syrup, and lime), nonalcoholic cocktails, and a handful of beers. A retail shop will sell boutique producers’ tinned fish, caviar, olive oils, vinegars, and more, with plans to eventually offer charcuterie and cheese platters to go, reflecting the team’s goal to be a regular neighborhood destination open daily 11 a.m. to 10 p.m." - Dianne de Guzman

The ambience in here was super nice and gorgeous. Our server was super nice too. The dip trio was mid, but the charcuterie was great. The grilled cheese and prosciutto we felt like we got a little skimped out on with the prosciutto, and it also came on top of the sandwich and not in the cheese. But the cheese was great. I went once with my friend for her birthday get together and we loved the photo ops so I took my other friends back! The billionaire tartine and smoked salmon tartine were great the second time we went. It was super chill on a Sunday evening during happy hour. Their espresso martini was awesome and I got the Orchard Kiss which was good. overall a great experience and the service was awesome both times :)

Google
Amazing spot in Danville. Wine selection is excellent. Wait staff is attentive, engaging, and fun. The food is high quality with a lot of variety. Get the lobster roll if it’s available. The bartending is also top notch. Full selection interesting spirits and creative bartending. While they don’t have a lot of beer on offer, the cocktails more than make up for it if you aren’t a wine drinker.

Google
Atmosphere was nice, service was good. They paid attention to our table. Food and drinks came out timely. Cocktail drinks were tasty and champagne pour was decent. Biggest disappointment was the oysters with caviar. They must’ve given us the smallest batch of oysters, I could barely see it. The other plates were good.

Google
This place crushed it, pun totally intended. Whether you are here for brunch vibes, cocktails, or a casual hangout, Crushed delivers. The menu is creative without trying too hard and the portions are generous. We tried the Billionaire’s Bacon (crispy, sticky, salty-sweet perfection) & the oysters, which were impossible to stop picking at. Drinks? 10/10. They were fun, colorful and dangerously smooth. The vibe is upbeat but not chaotic, with a great mix of music and energy. Service was friendly and fast, even when it was packed. Loved the cozy decor touches. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Danville and looking for something fun, flavorful, and a little bit extra.

Google
This restaurant offers incredible food, drinks, and customer service! I highly recommend the deviled eggs with smoked salmon, billionaire bacon, and avocado toast. For cocktails, you can't go wrong with a French 75. This is the best brunch I've had in awhile!

Google
Thus was a fabulous stop. We were searching for a different wine and we selected Crush'd... and what a fun Saturday! It is definitely going to be on our rotation! Great wine selection, apps and desert! Go and give them a try... wonderful!

Google
I would have given a 5 star. There were just a couple of things. First let me say the food and wines where simply amazing. When we walked in we were met with a warm welcome. We came at happy hour! The greeter and out Chase our waiter were exceptional. Chase went on break and someone else took over. He never came to our table or even asked if we needed anything. We kept trying to make eye contact because we wanted to order more items. However, another waitress was paying attention and took our order. Apparently, they dont take cash. I am not sure why and Chase said he didn’t know. Is it stated on the website? I so happened to have my card on me. Not every one has a credit card and only uses cash.

Google
Came in for Sunday brunch and the food is phenomenal. Great presentation and delicious flavors, you have to try the farmers market quiche, it's flaky and light with fresh market vegetables. The bartender Becky was knowledgeable and friendly and makes a damn fine cocktail (I had the tropic disco, a passion fruit and guava rum drink). Seating at the bar is comfortable and welcoming. A huge selection of wine on tap (with a flight option). They're brand new to town, and sure to become a staple of Danville.

Yelp
Quality time and lovely service If you are hungry do not go this place, for just drinking wine with some type of snack is ok However nice experience 5 stars

Yelp
Absolutely loved it here. The ambiance was so chic: rustic and inviting, with a Restoration Hardware vibe I loved. Lots of various seating options which I always appreciate. They have 24 wines on tap, which I was told keeps each pour crisp and fresh, and it's more sustainable too. As a bubbles girly, I went straight for the sparkling cocktails, and bubbles flight: Champagne, rosé, prosecco. Definitely go for the rhubarb fizz cocktail, I loved it! It has strawberry gin from Japan. Onto the food, all locally sourced and rotated seasonally: The baby gem lettuce salad was fresh and paired perfectly with the rosemary fennel focaccia... loved how prominent the olive oil flavor was! Wish a bit more fennel came through though. The duck confit tartine was my personal favorite, so tender and succulent, and went so well with the white bean purée and pickled raisins. The hoisin sesame chicken wings came with housemade sriracha that added a great kick. To pair with our bubbles flight, we ended on a sweet note with the cheesecake trio. Loved the vibes here. Jillian, the manager, was so incredibly kind. Excited to visit again.

Yelp
Checked out Crush'd a couple of weeks ago since I saw that they are on inKind. The biggest thing that drew me in is that they have happy hour EVERY DAY!! Including Sat/Sun from 3-6. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't even that busy during happy hour, it actually got more packed for dinner. They have a couple of cocktails and lots of wine to choose from (they are a wine bar after all). Their bites are super good too - we had the beef tartare, Grilled Cheese + Prosciutto, toragashi chips, and hamachi crudo. The only thing I would not order again is the chips.. since they're literally chips with seasoning (but I guess I should've known, haha). I'll definitely be coming back since there's a couple of other things I wanted to try on the menu. Couple of things I noted - they aren't super kid friendly (as in they don't have high chairs or anything like that), but they do welcome kids. That and it gets pretty loud as it starts to get packed in the restaurant.

Yelp
Had a wonderful dining experience that fell during happy hour. Had a couple of cocktails, oysters, chips, and dessert. Our server was lovely so it created an overall wonderful time. Oh the bread pudding was amazing - will definitely be back.

Yelp
Pretty good food and drinks and the ambiance and service is spectacular. Great for a group!

Yelp
I was passing by the area and needed to grab a late lunch before heading to a meeting and found this place on Yelp. I ordered a cocktail and a smoke salmon toast appetizer both were delish. Great service and nice ambiance.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this gem and will definitely return! This was our first visit. We had received a gift card from friends who love Crush'd. Decided to walk in around 4:00 for appetizers and drinks. Although most all of the table seating was empty, the hostess only offered us bar seating. Before going in I had checked Open Table and saw there were reservations available every 15 minutes through 6pm, so I didn't worry about getting a table, but they said no. I'm unsure of the strategy here other than to push for reservations?? So if you want a table, make your reservation beforehand. We enjoyed the bar seating regardless and were able to learn a little more about the menu items and restaurant by chatting with the bartenders, who were super friendly and knowledgeable. They have around 20+ wines on tap, coming from keg style containers under the counter. Pretty genius and more affordable. Another great feature of this setup is the ability for the customer to try custom flights. Any mix can be done in a flight. They have a nice selection of cocktails, bubbles, mocktails and spirits as well. Only two types of local beers, so take note if you're a beer drinker. Hubby had wine and I had the Barry Manilow cocktail, which is refreshing and delicious! Food- we started with the Hamachi appetizer which was absolutely fantastic. Tangy and succulent it was our favorite of the evening. The arugula and beet salad is fresh and colorful. My husband loves cauliflower and we tried it here. It's pretty good. The shrimp remoulaude toast was flavorful and filling. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes. We ended with the bread pudding. Really good flavor, but less moist than typical bread pudding. I actually liked that it wasn't overly gooey, which can take focus off the dish. Street parking available.

Yelp
Crush'd Wine Bar + Kitchen features a globally-inspired menu of shared plates, tartines, and other bites to go with their extensive wine and drinks list. One of my favorite items was the House-Baked Rosemary-Fennel Foccacia, four crusty triangles of bread, served with cultured butter and roasted garlic paste. The Baby Gems Lettuce was a simple salad of chopped lettuce, Gouda, foccacia croutons, and avocado ranch dressing; the Lamb Meatballs were served with harissa relish, eggplant puree, and yogurt; and the Roasted Cauliflower was tossed with chili crisp and served with a side of cashew green goddess dressing (an unexpected pairing that worked nicely)! The Dip Trio was a colorful board of crudite (cucumbers, red bell peppers, carrots, radishes, snow peas), pickled cauliflower/green beans, and mini pita chip rounds, served with carrot hummus, baba ghanoush, and my favorite, a whipped feta and red pepper dip. Finally, we tried their tartines (open-faced sandwiches), which came with a variety of toppings served on Firebrand Bakery sourdough bread. The Duck Confit was made of tender shredded duck over a white bean puree; but my favorite was the Truffle Roasted Oyster Mushrooms with Laychee cheese. The mushrooms and truffle had a deep umami flavor, which paired nicely with the creamy and mild cheese. Overall, this was a great restaurant to visit for creative plates and drinks with friendly service too!

Yelp
I love this spot, cute wine bar and yummy food. It's awesome for an upgraded brunch with seasonal food and drinks. The service is very attentive and consistent every time. A great place to spend time with loved ones and catch up with friends.

Yelp
Well I was a bit disappointed with Crush'd. I have been dying to come here. The ambiance was stunning and the seats were comfy/adorable. The service was quick, attentive, and kind. The food was just not my favorite. If I go back I will definitely get more of the bread dishes. You have to have a taste for fine dining if you want to come here. I will be back for drinks!

Yelp
Crush's Wine Bar Kitchen. What a fantastic evening we had. The small plates were tasty and delicious. Each plate we ordered was hand crafted and visually appetizing. Our host and server were attentive to our needs while eating and provided great recommendations for our meal. This place is a gem! Skip the big meals and try small plates for a night. We are definitely returning. Lynn and Tom.

Yelp
Omg 10/10 for everything! Service, food, drinks and omg the comfy chairs!! Highly recommend coming here for an espresso martini and delicious food!

Yelp
I really like Crush'd. Their drinks are creative and delicious. But the food portion sizes are seriously lacking. We've had their meat and cheese boards and caviar service at the restaurant before, and that should've been a warning sign for what we got when ordering a "large" charcuterie board I was told was for 10-12 people. Oh boy! "large" turned out to be more like a small. There weren't even 10 grapes. The stone fruit was basically a quarter of one fruit, sliced into seven tiny pieces. Even if the intention is to graze, the portions would only allow for a group of 10 to each have 2 bites at most. For $130, this was incredibly disappointing and nowhere near what I expected at that price. Sadly, I don't think I'll be ordering this again
google avatar

Kinjal N.

Yelp
A hidden gem! Such a great cocktail menu and wine list, small plates of different varieties and food. There's something for everyone, a welcoming vibe and a small marketplace where you can buy some small charcuterie types of items and bottles up front. Right on railroad avenue with plenty of parking across the street in a lot, this place is conveniently located in downtown Danville and is super cute for a weeknight meet up or small bites dinner. We loved the hamachi crudo, the shrimp tartine (a flavorful shrimp toast) and the salmon plate. Delicious and fresh. Their G&T cocktail was also a huge hit for me! Would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Another outstanding meal and experience! Stopped in to try their new menu items and was welcomed by their GM, Jillian. Sweet gal and super hospitable with the service as well as dish suggestions. The new menu is delicious and did not disappoint!!! The panzanella salad with heirloom tomatoes is a MUST TRY as the flavors are perfectly balanced and so refreshing! We also very much enjoyed the Halibut Ceviche (great flavor and texture!) and the Smoked Salmon Rilletes (pate with salmon and crème fraiche and micro greens! :) We also met Lauren who made some great cocktails off their new menu - really loved the creativity and flavors as these are worth a trip here by themselves! We will be back soon to try the other new menu items as they all sounded so good.

Yelp
This is our second visit to Crush'd , love the simple but classy , modern vibe . The staff here & the owners are all wonderfully genuine & kind & attentive . It's in downtown Danville where some of the restaurants in the area are a bit pretentious but Crush'd not an ounce of that type of vibe ! It's a genuine & personal connection w/ their guest. They absolutely knock it out of the park on hospitality! The little plates of nish nosh are delicious from bacon dates , deviled eggs , trio dip small but a tad on the pricey side but all pair well with/ wine & different variety of housemade cocktails which I'm sure they're well schooled mixologist, that must be Rainier who is a mixologist & sommelier he is a very knowledgeable young man & great at what he does . We were in last celebrating our b-days & it was a very wonderful & fun visit to Crush'd . Keep doing what y'all are doing Jamie, Ricken, Rainier & team members y'all ROCK !!! Thank you all for two great experiences at your place & we'll keep coming back !!

Yelp
Crush'd has quickly become one of our favorite spots to stop in for happy hour. We love to sit at the bar, and chat with Casey or Jame if they aren't too busy. It is fun to watch Casey mix up a martini or a specialty cocktail. He is a true artist. We have sampled all of the options on the small bites menu, and loved everything! Bonus is that during happy hour, all small bites are $9. The pricing makes it easy to sample a few different items from the menu. Our other favorite is the Chef's Curated Selection of Meats and Cheeses. I mean, how can you go wrong with meats and cheeses?! Overall, it's a great spot in downtown Danville!

Maureen K.

Yelp
Every bite was delicious. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and the owner/manager introduced himself to our table and even offered a fresh custom spin on a delicious cocktail. I'll be coming back to this cozy, cool vibe wine bar for sure!
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty restaurant with great service. Love their duck confit waffle. The lamb meatballs go very well with the special yogurt sauce. The chicken wings are cute presentation.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service bright not too busy or noisy all of our avocado croissant toasts were toasted a bit too much they cracked into pieces when you cut them but overall a nice environment the decor made me feel like I was in florida
google avatar

Jocelyn E.

Yelp
I was honestly disappointed in their Riesling. Crudo was warm and fishy. The potatoes were great and flavorful but extremely hot so proceed either way caution. Gem lettuce beets and eggs are interesting. As a first try w appetizers and drinks I can't say this place is my new favorite. Would like to come back and try the tartines. The atmosphere and ambience is lovely and a very nice location. The service is also great I just expected alittle bit more from the food.

Jeff T.

Yelp
Crush'd is an absolute gem in the heart of Danville! From the moment we sat down, everything about the experience was top notch--warm, welcoming, and delicious. We ordered a variety of small plates to share and every single one impressed: * The marinated olives were perfectly briny and addictive * The deviled eggs with smoked salmon and roe were a creative and rich bite * The hamachi crudo was delicate and fresh, beautifully plated with cucumber and edible flowers * The roasted cauliflower with green goddess sauce was a flavor bomb * The arugula beet salad was bright, crunchy, and beautifully balanced * The curated meat & cheese board was generous and thoughtfully assembled with pickles, mustards, and perfectly toasted crostini * We ended with a decadent bread pudding that we're still dreaming about! (One of the best and I'm a connoisseur) We also tried both the wine and champagne flights, which were a fun way to sample a variety of pours and added to the relaxed, upscale vibe of the evening. Service was exceptional--Madelina took amazing care of us and made excellent recommendations. We also had a lovely chat with Gillian, the GM, who clearly cares deeply about the experience they're creating at Crush'd. She gave us the background on both the owner and executive chef. Whether you're local or just passing through, this place is worth the stop. A perfect spot for a date night, girls' night, or just an excuse to treat yourself. Danville is lucky to have this new addition! Look forward to returning soon
google avatar

Maria H.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere. Service and selection of shareable appetizers are great. However if you're looking for a heartier meal it's not the place. Perfect place for drinks, snacks and chat. I've had deviled eggs, oysters, grilled and prosciutto mini sandwich. All tasted good and got them $9 each for happy hour which happens daily 3-6pm
google avatar

Yelp
I didn't get a chance to review this place the first time I went. I believe the first time i went was in November of last year and it was during happy hour. We sat at the bar and everything that was served was amazing and pretty impressed at the quality for happy hour items. Some of the honorable mentions at the time were the grilled cheese sandwich, the butternut squash soup. We visited two other times after that and the food and service was not great. The grilled cheese was nothing great and the overall quality of all the items that were served seemed rushed and no effort put into the items prepared. I highly DO NOT recommed the elote it claims it is made from local corn, however, it tasted like creamed corn from a can. There was nothing "elote" about it. Furthermore the Togarashi chips and black garlic dip feels like someone took mayo and mixed it with french onion soup mix. I was not impressed. Sabio on Main in Pleasanton I believe under the same management and I prefer to drive a little further out for their food.
google avatar

A L.

Yelp
A good neighborhood stop for a bite or other celebration. Relaxing vibe. Service was top notch. All the tapas portion dishes were tasty and generally good to share amongst 2-4 people. The wine options were ok. It would be great if there were selections outside the usual CA areas (consider Lake County) and add a bit more international options.
google avatar

Sara B.

Yelp
Good vibes, good wine! Get a reservation because it fills up fast. Our group enjoyed the wine flights and build your own charcuterie board. I was a little weirded out though that our server was only 18 and didn't seem to know anything about the food or wine. She wasn't able to answer any of my questions and was overall pretty unhelpful! She also poured my friend a 9oz glass when he just wanted a small glass of wine. Overall, still a great time, and nice spot to hang out with some friends. It gets a little loud though so I wouldn't recommend for a first date if you want to hear each other.
google avatar

Kristi D.

Yelp
This was our third time having drinks at Crush'd. The first two times were busy weekends. We sat at the bar and had craft cocktails and wine. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. The bartender made me a totally custom drink! Was fab! The vibe when busy was fun. This time we visited early week, earlier in the day, and the service was consistently friendly and quality. We had apps this time too. We've never had a bad experience here and will return. It's a needed Danville wine and cocktail bar!
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
Great place for Happy Hour. Excellent ambience. Come with ur girlfriends on any weekday they have Happy Hour menu. Half a dozen oysters for $9. Fresh. So yummy. Other snacks they have are devils egg and tasting menu. I don't think and they have a good selection of mocktails. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Rohan G.

Yelp
We come here once a month. The staff is amazing. They treat us and our 18 month old like family. Everything is delicious. Highly recommend all of the tartines. The bacon one is out of the world. Also, they have the best focaccia I have ever had. So many wine and drink options. Hope everyone gets a chance to try this place.
google avatar

Chelsea F.

Yelp
I went for a friend's birthday and wanted to like it as the concept is great. Happy hour prices aren't bad, but I'd only go back for that. Food is overpriced for what we got. The lamb meatballs were uneven in size and while good flavor, they were dense without much sauce. We had the mushroom tartine and the chicken, which were fine but less impressive than the menu description. The dip trio was the most flavorful thing. Grilled cheese was good, but it should be. Bread pudding was fine, but nothing special. They were also out of a few things on the menu. The server was nice, but spread thin as it took a long time to get out drinks, the food came out randomly and they weren't observant to clearing dishes/glasses which feels like they aren't staffing enough people to cover tables well.

Gill G.

Yelp
What an amazing experience! Everything was absolutely perfect -- from the drinks to the food to the impeccable service. I loved it all, but if I had to pick a standout, it would be the dates -- they were just perfect. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Looking for an event venue? Check out this unique and stylish venue in Danville. We hosted a private event at Crush'd Kitchen and Wine Bar in September. Could not have been more pleased with the outcome...and we are still getting rave reviews from our guests. We were drawn to the contemporary ambience of this property; unique assortment of wines on tap including tasting flights and craft cocktails curated by an expert bar team coupled with a customizable event menu. It is not always easy to find a venue so once we did, we were really pleased with the planning assistance we received from the Sales and Marketing Director who was creative and open to our ideas and input. Unique to events, the craft "grazing table" was wonderfully received (locally sourced with lots of variety). Fan favorites were the tartines and grilled cheese and prosciutto bites (part of the passed hor d'oeuvres selections). When hosting an event, the critical part for us is "our guests feel welcome". That for us equates to choices - in beverages, delicious foods, and charmed service. The staff was professional, but more importantly, friendly and made this "Birthday Celebration" feel warm and comfortable. We could not have been more pleased with our choice/day.
google avatar

Brandy S.

Yelp
Stopped in yesterday for a flight and had a wonderful time. The staff and service were amazing. Truly warm and inviting. Great selection of wines. Reasonably priced. We didn't get a chance to try the food but just another reason to come back!
google avatar

Valerie F.

Yelp
Lauren was an incredible server! Everything was delicious-the wine, the carrot soup, the beat salad, the grilled cheese.Yum! We cannot wait to come back again and try other items. My husband loved the caviar, sardines, and especially the oysters. Lauren's enthusiasm was the highlight.
google avatar

Tara R.

Yelp
Food was delish. Had the seasonal soup, Kabocha Squash Soup & really enjoyed it. We shared the Dungeness crab tartine and Shaved Brussels Sprout Salad. Yum! Our server was super cool & sweet. Very pretty place. And not to forget the lovely Toto toilets that warm the bum. lol Have a good time.
google avatar

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
A bit expensive and the service was a little slow when it was half empty but the food and drink were great! The cocktails were very tasty and the caviar, meat & cheese plate, and the bacon cheese figs were all super flavorful and high quality.
google avatar

Amelie R.

Yelp
Oh my oh my!!! This place delivers in everything! Service: warm, attentive and super friendly, Food: fresh, delicious, and intuitive, ambiance: classy but not pretentious! I don't review much but this one deserve much. Thank you for your time and effort and hospitality. I will be back! Oh and I happened upon their new Winemaker Wednesday - super cool way of connecting the wines with the growers - just go and support this place. It's fabulous
google avatar

Annie P.

Yelp
It's a very nice space with comfortable seating, they've only been open over a month. They have a good menu for aperitif hour (happy hour), although small selection but all great food. The grilled cheese sandwich might seem simple but tastes sophisticated! It's probably the best grilled cheese sandwich you could ever have. Oysters are always wonderful and fresh, mostly from Washington. Great wine selection of course if you're open to trying something that's out of the ordinary.
google avatar

Danville B.

Yelp
We've been here twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner. Consistently awesome food and service! We can't wait to return!
google avatar

Erik Y.

Yelp
Great food. Attentive service. Small plates. Big flavor. Full bar/NA cocktails as well. And 24+ wines by the glass or by the 3-glass flight (on tap, temp-controlled). Just opened in August 2024. Happy hour 3-6. Eat at the bar, low tables at a couch, or tables. Open for lunch and dinner. Come try.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
What a really lovely place! A warm and welcoming ambience, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The wine was delightful, and I particularly appreciated the names of the wines being written on the flight glasses since I often forget the names by the time the wine comes to the table. A lot of attention to detail and it shows. There are a lot of really lovely food choices, and a fabulous cocktail menu. The deviled eggs are outstanding as are the medjool dates. We will definitely be coming here again!

Jairam K.

Yelp
We sat at the bar, the bartender was very nice, and the atmosphere cool and lively. We had red wine poured from a tap/barrel, panzanella salad, halibut ceviche, deviled eggs, vegetarian grilled cheese - all items were fabulous! Great addition to Danville dining, very cool, and we will be back!
google avatar

Joe R.

Yelp
Second time we came for happy hour. We found the ambience pleasing, wine tasty, service good; however the food choices were strange and portions skimpy. Don't think we will return.

Yelp
This wine bar is a gem in Danville. We've been there a few times enjoying all their menu items including their great wine selection. Super sweet & personable staff make you feel at home. We love Becky, Sergio, Casey, Rainier Great happy hour oysters too:)

Alex B.

Yelp
Perfect place to just to come in and enjoy the afternoon. Good food, wine and drinks, what more could you ask for. Had the grilled cheese with prosciutto, duck fat marbled potatoes and lamb meat balls. Delish. Just a heads up on the potatoes. They are whole small potatoes, not fried as I originally thought they would be. Would suggest skipping that for two people (probably perfect for 4 people). They had a mimosa flight since it was brunch hour and they had a passion fruit, apple spice and blood orange. I liked the apple spiced one. Reminded me of a good holiday drink. 2nd time here and will keep coming back for sure.

Yelp
My husband and I came out for date night and had a great experience. The food was yummy my husband ordered the lamb meatballs and I got the crudo. The bartenders were really attentive and nice. And my bubble flight was so good! They were out of the bottle that I wanted to buy but at least I got the name! Definitely will be back

Yelp
Last night my wife and I were invited to the opening of Crush'd Wine Bar. We weren't quite sure where it was on Railroad Ave., but easily located it across from Lunardi's supermarket, which is good because their parking lot compensates for the lack of on-street parking, First impression of the new space? Handsome, airy, simple - kind of neo industrial but very comfortable. There are soft couches and chairs. a bar with high stools, and a more traditional lounge with booths. There is also a display area with gourmet food and drink (no prices were posted on our visit). Their approach to wine sales is to dispense it from multiple taps behind the bar (12 white, 12 red) in 3, 6, 9 oz measures, or a 46 oz carafe, which is the equivalent of 750 ml bottle. I recognized wineries like Chalk Hill, Trethethen, Dry Creek, DAOU, Steven Kent, Epoch and OZV, but the rest were not wineries I knew. Almost all are from CA, with a smattering from Italy, Germany and New Zealand. The staff and service were exceptional. They tended to every need, cleaned up regularly and always had something funny to say. They worked their tails off with a crowd that had to number 60-80. The food focus of the evening was a charcuterie table loaded with artisan cheeses, salumi, dips, olives, homemade chips, bread, roasted nuts and caviar. There were also passed hors d'oeuvres, including lamb meatballs, deviled eggs w/smoked salmon and trout roe, and fat and scrumptious oysters. I believe many of these are on their regular menu. I must also mention their cocktails. I had the bourbon and spice (with amaro Luciano, chai and lemon), a friend tried the blackberry blossom which she loved, and of course there were martinis and old fashioned as well. So, as persons who love a local spot to eat lite bites and sip wine or cocktails in late afternoon, I think we have found a new home. Here's hoping Crush'd succeeds in downtown Danville. 8/15/2024

Yelp
Hidden gem! Happy hour oysters 1/2 dozen for $9?????? Are you kidding me? Great vibe.Becky behind the bar can handle business and take time to rap about the wine and the awesome food options. Wines on tap. Flights are an awesome deal and it will take you a week to go through all the food options. I'm already planning my next visit.

Yelp
There are not enough GREAT things to say about this restaurant. It has a chic, modern decor with options of plush sofa seating or table top dining. The low playing music adds to the decadent vibe. They offer small plates, caviar, artisan meats + cheese boards, wines/cocktails, and desserts! Everything was plated beautifully, flavorful and DELICIOUS! We tried several dishes and all continued to bring the same level of creativity and tastefulness. From the kindness and welcoming nature of the owner (Steve) to the openness and EXCELLENT conversation from the GM (Jame), and the exceptional service from Chase. It is evident that this upscale establishment with a family-style staff will soon become a STAPLE in Danville. I am so excited and fortunate to have had the opportunity to have dined here while visiting! We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!
