"Replacing Crushed North Park on University Avenue, the new restaurant is just two blocks from the urban farm with a CSA and temporary café space that it has been operating out of for the past few years." - Helen I. Hwang

What a fun brunch spot! Will definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu! We got a mimosa flight, flatbread, and biscuits and gravy and left feeling very satisfied! Even though we arrived at peak brunch times, we had hardly a wait to get seated in the restaurant. There is a parking garage a very short walk away from Crushed that has very reasonable rates. Otherwise parking can be a bit tricky!

Crushed is an institution in PB. It's the best brunch in the neighborhood. Here, it joins a pretty lively brunch scene in North Park, and I think it's going to dominate. The mimosa flights are awesome, as are the breakfast tacos. This Crushed is huge and very inviting for large groups. There's like a VIP brunch table in what was the window display (this building used to be a department store).

I tried the Triple and the Crab Cake Benny. First, the Triple had excellent taste and flavor. The omelette itself was well balanced and packed with delicious ingredients. However, the tortillas were slightly underdone and the soyrizo fries could use a touch more seasoning. Next, the Crab Cakes were also delicious. The crab meat was moist and glistening. The combination between eggs and crab are a classic and this was one dish that proves it.

Service and drinks were great. The location is hard for businesses but they’ve done a great job with the revamp. We really enjoyed the flights. My favorite was the cucumber mimosa. Servers were friendly and one went above and beyond by asking someone to leave us alone when he noticed we would not. Glad we have you guys at a closer location!

Food quality was not great. Biscuits and gravy tasted like they used a plant based sausage instead of real sausage. Mimosa flight had sad thyme herbs for decor instead of fresh. We waited at the front for a while before anyone noticed we were outside to seat us.

The bubbly flights were a nice way to finish my day. The atmosphere and fulfilling eats is a vibe in sunny San diego!

Thanks to our awesome waiter today who made the best of it and comped our meal. Eggs benedict for almost 20 dollars...comes with what you see. We waited almost 30 minutes for our food watching people get served we walked in with. Our waiter went to check and informed me there was no hollandaise for eggs benedict (good to know this late in this process). Switched sauces and when the meal arrived it was laughable. My eggs were almost hard boiled, it was a lump of meat on a biscuit and they made the wrong sliders for my partner which were just warm.
