"There’s a new bakery in Burbank for those in and around the city for an Ikea run or airport pick-up. Crust Artisan Bakery prepares gorgeous baguettes and sourdough loaves, along with classic Viennoiserie like croissants, Danishes, and raisin escargot. Artisan Bakery is such a cute, modern and delicious bakery in a busy strip mall in Burbank. The outside entry is very ornate with a Great Gatsby style vibe with gold arches. Inside the space has wall decals depicting Paris in a modern style. The display case is beautiful and clean. I really enjoyed the customer service and the staff member gave me great suggestions for what to pick. They also let me use my own to go container and heated up the pies so they were in the best condition for eating! I love that they have savory options for their pies, so you can enjoy it alongside a sweet for breakfast. For the pies, I got 2: 1. Potato, which was creamy and well seasoned, but could also have benefited from having something with texture to break up the monotony, such as bell pepper, peas, raisins, olives, etc. 2. Cabbage, which was INCREDIBLE and reminded me of the filling of spring rolls without being overly oily. As for sweet, the almond croissant was visually striking, but more importantly the almond paste inside was not overly sweet, so it balanced well with the dusting of powdered sugar. It reminded me of an elegant bear claw. There were so many croissant option in general and it's obvious why, because the croissant is really well made with lots of flaky layers. Can't wait to return with friends and family!

I stopped by this bakery place in the morning today since I was in the area. I saw they had a sign saying now open so I think they just open recently. This place is in a big plaza so there a lot of parking but if you want to park in the front then it will be limited. I was confused where the entrance was at first so I walked into the cooking area first. After I found the right entrance, I walked inside and was greeted right away. I already knew what I was getting because I looked on their website. I got the cruffin, Nutella cruffins and lemon fruit tarts. I saw other pastries but I think what I got was enough for now. The lady working the counter was very nice and they have free sample in the front too. The cruffins are delicious, I didn't eat the fruit tarts but my mom said it was good. I will be sure to come back again to try something else.

I went today on the first day of Spring, I met David who helped me out today, He told me they were a Family Run business and they opened Sept of 2024. He was very pleasant and very informative. The place is a clean nice store, I went there at around 3pm so they ran out of some of the more popular items, they make the items on the menu as you order them like the sandwiches and pizza. This is a very nice Bakery and I would recommend them to anyone who loves baked goods.

Google
Crust Artisan Bakery is an absolute gem! It has a warm an inviting atmosphere and the mouthwatering aroma of freshly baked goods. The space is spotless and well-kept, making it a truly pleasant place to sit and enjoy a treat or two. The food is phenomenal--everything is clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. Their pastries are out of this world--flaky, buttery, and perfectly balanced in flavor. Whether you're grabbing a croissant, a tart, or one of their seasonal specials, you really can't go wrong. Also, must try their sandwiches and paninis! I got Mortadella sandwich and my wife got Prosciutto panini and both were delicious! Highly recommend Crust Artisan Bakery if you love great food, friendly service, and a clean, cozy spot to relax. It's easily one of the best bakeries around! A big shoutout to David, who made the experience even better. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what he does!

Google
Friendly owner who keeps the store very clean. Nice open space with wifi to work for a few hours. The pastry I tired was good - croffin (croissant muffin?). But the pies and coffee left much to be desired. Prices are fair for everything.

Google
This is the cutest new bakery in town. The pastries are delicious and buttery. I love the croissants and the pistacio pastry. The bread is made right there in the back and you can see them making it depending on time (toddler heaven!). They have a full menu of prepared food and coffee. Located near sprouts in Burbank. I have been twice and can't wait to go back. Pricing is good, nice seating and the best smell.

My girlfriend and I are from Mexico City, and we’re huge bread lovers. We discovered this amazing spot where we had one of the best Italian club paninis ever! No matter where you’re from, I highly recommend checking this place out.

Yelp
I am writing this review only minutes after finishing the pastries I bought from Crust because of how freakin GOOD they were. I stopped by today after a quick trip to Sprouts for an afternoon pick me up. Cute space with a large pastry case with soooo may options. I asked the girl working for some popular items and she gave me great recommendations. I went with the almond croissant, cottage cheese pancake, potato pie (similar to Armenian "pirashki" but it was baked, not fried,) and spinach pie (which lucky for me was fresh and still hot!) The spinach pie was probably one of the BEST I have ever tried. Other spinach pies I've had either have too much spinach, too much cheese, or are not seasoned well. This one was the perfect balance of everything and soooo buttery and flaky. The potato pie was super flavorful and not heavy like a pirashki normally is. Almond croissant was excellent. The cottage cheese pancake was also good, but my least favorite out of everything. They also had a wonderful selection of various breads. I tried a sample of the olive bread and it was incredible as well. I am so glad this bakery opened up and I will for sure be back!

Yelp
Recently, I visited Crust Artisan Bakery to pick-up a Too Good To Go bread bag, and I also wanted to grab some pastries for weekend breakfast. After work on Thursday, I arrived at the bakery about 10 minutes before closing and luckily, found a parking spot out front. This location is a small storefront with a bright indoor seating area and a large kitchen, which you can peek through the windows on the outside of the bakery. The staff member that assisted me was friendly, and provided helpful tips on storing and reheating leftover bread. My fave item was the Almond Croissant, which I was told was one of their popular items. I had it the next day, and it reheated nicely. It was sweeter and more buttery than what I was used to, but they were generous with the filling and almond topping. Also, I enjoyed the Cheddar & Jalapeño Sourdough, which came from the bread bag. It was a bit dense, but had a good amount of heat and paired well with morning eggs. I'd like to return to Crust Artisan Bakery to try their other pastries and sandwiches. Glad to have another bakery in the community!

Yelp
Well, I have to say this was pretty darn good. Ended up stopping in to get some Croissants and boy were they delicious! I surprised my wife with their mini chocolate filled one and it was so delicious and fresh. Recommend warning them up before you eat them, thank me later. I will be back to try their freshly baked bread and other sweets!

Yelp
Personally, I prefer the essential amount of salt added to pastry: in this case a poppyseed bun. Such that it holds a synergy of sweet and balanced salt. Without the salt there's a lack of character which I equate with generally undersalted Swedish pastry. Much ground is lost in foundational characteristics and one is left feeling as though consumption is a duty rather than enchanted. I then realized the pastry was underdone; bringing this to the attention of the affable counter staff. I was graciously told after his consultation with the next in command that the poppy seeds themselves created what I deemed as underdone, doughy, pully center. Senior management assured me this was done. I will never grow accustomed to being told I have not experienced the obvious.

Yelp
Just discovered this cute spot in burbank. I was excited to try a few items but was left a little disappointed. I went in the morning half hour after they opened. The pastries were average. Maybe I got a day old batch? The bread was also dense, lacking crunch but when I warmed it up at home, it was great. The Americano was watered down. As a new bussiness, I'm sure they will continue to fine tune things but they're in a great location and have potential to prosper :)

Yelp
I recently visited Crust Artisan Bakery, drawn by its high ratings, and I can confidently say it was one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the array of delicious-looking pastries. We sampled a variety of items, from danishes to potato breads, and everything was top-notch. This is, without a doubt, the best bakery I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, adding to the overall wonderful experience. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Crust Artisan Bakery. I'm sure you'll find something you enjoy!

Yelp
Cute little pastry shop with a great selection to choose from. Came here to pick up a danish, blueberry scone, pistachio escargot and a Nutella croffin. The danish has a nice flaky texture and the cream on top complemented it nicely. It wasn't overly sweet and would pair well with a nice cappuccino. The croffin is a croissant muffin filled with Nutella. It kind of resembled a fancier version of a sugar donut with a filling. The pistachio escargot was good, but I do wish the pistachio flavor was a bit more powerful. I do appreciate the chopped pistachios it had but I just wished it had more of a pistachio taste. If you are looking for some pastries while running errands definitely stop by and take a look at their selection.

Yelp
I am always on the hunt for great bakeries and was thrilled to learn that a brand new one had opened fairly close to me in Burbank, in September of this year. On our way to a late lunch, we stopped at Crust. I was so happy to see what an amazing environment they have created and the array of pastries available. There seem to be an equal number of savory and sweet items, and that is what I look for. The decor has to be noted. It is the color of baked goods, i.e., made from flour and butter, golden wheat and cream products. Bakeries should reflect these ingredients that make up almost all baked goods. It is clean and airy, with high ceilings to draw up the heat. The prices are very reasonable. I believe everything is made on site and the hours are exceptional for a bakery. You can stop in on the way to and from work, it is right off the 5 freeway, with easy access on and off San Fernando Road. Perfect for me! I got a few dozen items including a delicious olive bread that they sliced for me on the spot and other things, which I will note in the captions to my pictures. There can never be enough artisan bakeries in the greater Los Angeles area, for me, but there are few that rise to this level of quality and beauty. As a professionally trained baker myself, this is important and I am sure I will be a regular here. You must try it!

Yelp
Cute little bakery! Beautiful shop that recently opened - their displays are gorgeous and their baked goods look amazing. We tried: ham & cheese croissant (warmed up) - SO GOOD! mini chocolate croissant - also really good, nice and flaky and buttery, with the perfect amount of chocolate mini cherry pie - c'mon, it's great! mini apple pie - also good, but the edge goes to the cherry I also tried a sample of the bread pudding and it was really good as well. Super-friendly service, too! I'll be back next time I'm in town!

Yelp
I was in heaven. I absolutely love bakeries and was so happy we came here. The bakery shop is spacious and filled with an array of baked goods. We got a variety of pastries- cruffin, danish, cottage cheese pancake, mini cheese pies, palmiers and a few more that I can't quite recall. My favorite was the cruffin; it was flaky and soft with a cream filling - what a dream! I didn't expect the palmiers to be so good; they were light with the perfect amount of sweetness. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area!

Yelp
Came across this place and was impressed to see their ovens and display of baked goods. The staff and owner were very inviting. They were very patient while I was admiring their vast selection. Huge fan of their mini baked goods. This gives the consumer the opportunity to try different baked goods versus choosing just one. They have baked goods from sweet to savory, options for all to enjoy. Mini Chocolate Croissant- 10/10 Delicious and soft. Tasted just like a Ferrero Rocher with peanuts instead of hazelnuts. Mini Crossiant- 8/10 The flake of the chocolate croissant was better to me. This croissant was good but missing the butter flavor of a regular croissant. Mini Potato Pie- 10/10 This reminded me of a perashki and it was very flavorful and not oily. L Mini Cabbage Pie- 10/10 This has great flavor and is super soft. Highly Recommend This place is new and has great options (savory and sweet baked goods and sandwiches). If you're in Burbank pass by for a small treat and if you want they can warm it up as well.

Yelp
It's a new bakery in town right by Sprouts where I shop weekly. I stopped by earlier today to finally check it out. It has cute interiors but very cold vibes. The freshly baked pastries, breads and croissants looked good. I purchased a croissant, it was pretty good. I wanted to get a latte or iced coffee but they don't offer that. It's kind of disappointing cause it is a bakery selling all these pastries that will go perfectly with. I would have loved to take a seat and relax a few minutes with a coffee and croissant, but I left and ate it in my car instead. I know some people say there is Starbucks next door but it's not the same. Starbucks coffee sucks. Customer service was very unfriendly. I barely got a hi from the lady at the counter. I noticed they have sandwiches on the menu and will try it next week when I'm in the area again. I'll update my review. I didn't buy any bread , most of them are made with yeast but I heard from other Yelpers that they have sourdough as well. Will pay more attention next time.

Yelp
Fresh and tasty! I love this place! Such a treat to go to a bakery that makes their own bread!

Yelp
Crust just opened. I believe this is their first location. They bake everything on-site, including a variety of breads, croissants (including mini croissants), cruffins, etc. They also make sandwiches to order and served on their fresh baked bread. Since they just opened, not everything is available yet. Order at the register. For drinks, they have hot coffee (Peet's), tea, cold bottled and canned drinks. They're next to Starbucks, so they don't have an espresso bar. Croissant twist ($4.45): an unusual croissant shape, it had a crispy exterior and flaky layers. The top was brushed with a sweet wash. Cotto sandwich ($14.95): a cold sandwich made with half of a baguette (or ciabatta), thinly shaved cotto, a soft stracciatella cheese, and baby arugula. It was simple but the ingredients were high quality. The baguette was quite chewy and not as narrow as some baguettes. It was filling. Mustard would have been a good addition. The interior was pleasant, with a large illustration of a Parisian street scene, six small tables, and a mostly brown color scheme. Crust is in a strip mall anchored by Sprouts. Parking was easy to find.

Yelp
So excited to have a place that sells fresh sourdough loaves nearby. There is just something special about fresh bread that outshines any bread you can get at the grocery store. The pastries here are also pretty delicious especially the chocolate almond croissant. Everything we've tried from here has been great. The potato pie is a nice hearty treat. The service is always very nice. The space is very clean if you're in the area near sprouts or Starbucks make sure to pop in and grab something to take home.

Yelp
Came here on a whim looking for some pastries. What I found was delish bread and treats!!! My fam and I bought their olive bread loaf and sourdough loaf and they also asked if we wanted them to slice it for us which we had them do. The bread was so soft and crunchy on the outside. The olive bread had a ton of kalamata olives and the flavor was amazing!!! We also got a large slice of their focaccia bread which was also super soft and initially I thought I'd need something to dip or eat it with but the flavor by itself was amazing!!! We're going to be going back here and taking some bread home for our friends and family in the bay!!! Coming from the Bay Area everything is super expensive and the pricing here for me was super reasonable!!!! The decor inside is simple and beautiful!!! Come discover this new hidden gem!!!

Cathy B.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! Delicious food! The bread is amazing and literally the best scone Ive found in LA. Had no idea it was so close to home. Really enjoyed everything.

Yelp
Really delicious olive bread! I met the owner, he was friendly and seemed incredibly passionate about his bakery. This is a great place to hang out while charging my Tesla. I'm in agreement with some of the other reviews that I wish there was milk/lattes/variety of drinks, that way this could be a one stop shop on my Saturday mornings! Last time I got the peppermint tea and it was good but I found myself wanting to add some milk and honey I'm really excited for the evolution of this bakery and I'm hoping to see some cool drinks soon :)

Patrick B.

Yelp
Delicious food, clean store, kind staff. My 10 year old got the chocolate twist and my 7 year old got a whole baguette. My wife and I shared a cheese pie. Everything was amazing!

Yelp
I absolutely love coming to this place. The bake goods are always fresh. The service is impeccable. The ambience is very Parisian and reminds me of the cafes in Paris. The owners keep the place super clean. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
Omg!!! I went to Starbucks and this place wash net to it & new That strawberry danish was to dye for it had clustered cream in side. A great combination of sweet and sour. And the croissant was so buttery and crunchy!! FYI you get what you pay for!

Yelp
Great sandwich on baguette, fresh ingredients. Sourdough bread is very good. Would have given a 5 star but honestly i think that although very tasty their prices are a little high. $5.95 for a very small Raison Tart and other pastries

Pauline M.

Yelp
The food is incredible! The service is always spot on! Helpful staff and very friendly the atmosphere of the place is good for a casual coffee spot with friends and always very clean.

Yelp
This place is very clean, looks great, and welcoming. The staff is polite and attentive. We ordered a couple of goodies to go and couldn't be more happy about the choices. The pudding bread was delicious, not overly sweet and had great flavor! The thyme and olive bread is ABSOLUTELY delicious! The crust has the perfect hardness and the inside pillowy goodness!!! I highly recommend this if you come. The ciabatta bread doesn't disappoint either! It's delicious slightly toasted. The only thing I want that into was the mini chicken pie. It was a little dry, and didn't really agree with my taste bud. I would highly recommend this's place.

Mia B.

Yelp
Wow, This spot is a treasure. The sour dough crispy crust bread is my absolute favorite! mini croissants are so so yummy ! i'm so glad to have discovered this place

Tweety B.

Yelp
I was at this place nearly 2 months ago and returned. This time I got a dozen each of the mini plain and chocolate croissants, an olive and a sourdough bread to take to a family Sunday brunch today. While there was a lot of good stuff at the table, nearly all of the croissants and breads that I took were pretty much gone! Everybody loved it! Awesome stuff!

Lilit B.

Yelp
Very excited to have a new bakery in town. Burbank has a lot to offer, but my immediate area is definitely missing quality bakeries. Happy to have found somewhere to buy quality bread, aside from the farmer's market. I have yet to try their bread, but I did try their cottage cheese pancakes, and mini chicken pie and both were pretty good. The prices are very reasonable.

Pauline P.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! The food is so delicious (I had the olive bread and cruffin- both of which were outstanding)! The service was on point- helpful and friendly staff. Ambiance in the place is perfect for a quick coffee and sweet meet up
