The first time we tried this place was by ordering through Doordash. We ordered their caprese salad plus a margherita pizza. Sadly, the pizza was cold when we got it. To us, it seemed to be a matter of bad timing as we know once the dasher got to the restaurant, he wasted no time getting the food to us. Most likely, the pizza got made before a dasher was assigned thus it sat there for a while.
Anyway...we first ate the caprese salad which was unusual but tasty. Instead of sliced tomatoes, they used a lot of sliced cherry tomatoes (but the menu did state that fact). The burrata was creamy and flavorful and the balsamic dressing had good flavor plus all those cherry tomatoes were ripe.
Then, on to the pizza...yes, it was cold but we zapped it in the microwave. We could tell that this pizza had good flavor. The crust had a slight char to it which was to be expected from the wood burning oven. The sauce had nice flavor as did the cheese with the bits of basil adding that nice touch that distinguishes it from a plain cheese pizza. What we suspected was that if we dined and got it served hot, it would have been a heckuva lot better...and we were right about that.
Today, we dined in there. The man who greeted us (we suspect he was the manager) was very polite and welcoming. He told us to take a seat and he would put in our order. Normally, you go to the register and place your order. We just decided to have a margherita pizza and soft drinks. A staff member brought us our food when it was ready.
Yes, the pizza was quite tasty. What a difference eating a hot out of the oven pizza makes! Much better than having to zap it in the microwave! So...next time we crave a pizza, this is where we will go for one.
