Great fire brick oven pizza. Crust is perfect and pizza is made with good ingredients. Meat ball appetizer was delicious

Sanskriti Kant

Google
The food we tried was an oven baked mageritta pizza and was damn good. Simple and smooth crust with flavorful sauce and fresh mozzarella and basil all over it. The taste was amazing. Must try. The service was also quick. We did a pickup so went to the place and it was clean and AMAs tidy. There is plenty of parking available outside with no parking charges.

Google
Blown away! Everything was fresh and hit every note of a true authentic Neapolitan. Don’t shy away from the more experimental dishes- these guys are masters at blending flavors and textures you might not otherwise think to try. Looking forward to making this a go-to option whenever I’m in the area.

Google
We just had the best lunch ever here! We've been so excited for the arrival of neapolitan pizza in the neighborhood (or great pizza in general). Crust more than delivered with high quality and great flavor. We had pizza, meatballs, spaghetti and dessert and it was all amazing. Pasta was fresh made and delicious. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and gave insight into the menu and recommendations. We will be back soon.

Food was great. Got one eggplant pizza and the 4 cheese pizza. It was all good, but unfortunately they burned my eggplant to ashes. It’s a great restaurant with exceptional food, just be aware of this flaw in their service

Google
I love pizza and good pizza is hard to find. This was my first visit to Crust and it was memorable for sure, the pizza was WOW!!! I haven’t had pizza this good since my last trip to N.Y. My wife got a sandwich (can’t recall the name) but she said it was so fresh and it’s her new favorite place for lunch. The staff was warm and welcoming, very social and always had a smile you can tell they are happy working here and that makes this place even more enjoyable. We will be back here soon for sure. Don’t change a thing because it’s already amazing. Thanks for a great dinner.

Google
This place is the best!! The pizza is soo good and fresh! The guys who work here are the nicest guys who treat my family so special. The atmosphere is cozy. We are regulars for all these reasons, highly recommend!!

Google
Simply put...amazing food, amazing restaurant with actual Italian wood-fired oven, amazing experience. From Antonio greeting us, Sammy serving us, and Kevon checking on us...those three and rest of the staff made us feel welcomed and at home...definitely feel the "Italian" hospitality and vibe !! The Diavola pizza and Fried artichokes (with the red sweety drop peppers) were mind-blowing delicious !! Highly highly recommended....We will certainly visit again...getting hungry writing this review!

Yelp
I love this place! Best Italian pizza in the area!! And they have Peroni beer on draft!

Yelp
Not terrible, but not worth a 4+ star review... Ordered the arancini, a pepperoni pie, and a Quattro formaggi pie. The food came out suspiciously fast. The arancini could hardly be called that, and the pizza was just ok. Not what I expected based on the ratings the place has and definitely not what I would call Neapolitan pizza, but it was not bad either.

Yelp
The one thing we don't have on Hawaii is good pizza (you won't change my mind on that with this New England girl). The pizza was good - write home about? No, but I did eat the whole damn thing. Pizza was ready quickly and they met me at the door - so service was great. It's your typical pizza place - clean/bright.

Yelp
After reading such amazing reviews, we had to give this place a try. We ordered ahead to save time and that might have been where the mistake started. We arrived ~15 mins after we placed to order and was surprised that the pizza was ready. It felt like the pizza had been sitting out for awhile as it was dry and even the sauce had dried up. They are also very stingy with the toppings as the Margherita pizza had all of two pieces of basil on it and barely any cheese. The pesto and chicken had more toppings so I'd recommend opting for a specialty pizza if you are going to eat here. The crust which should be the best part was very soggy and flimsy. I was pretty disappointed after seeing the fire brick oven that it was prepared in.. maybe the temperature wasn't high enough. I'd pass on this place in the future unless I was really hungry and there were no other options for pizza.

Yelp
Crust Pizzeria is the best Napoletano Pizzaria in the area. The pizza crust is baked exactly the way a Neopolitan crust should be; it is crisp on the edges and light and airy in the center. The sauce and toppings are always fresh and flavorful. Our family has been eating at Crust since it opened. We have had the Gorganzola, Pepperoni, Diavola, Bolognese, Ceese, Supreme and Margherita pizzas. Each one is delicious. We have also eaten the Aracini, Carciofi Fritti, Melanzane Parmigiana and Panzanella. These dishes are as good as, or better, than any we haveveaten in Italy. The restaraunt is always clean, the service is polite and solicitous and we are always welcomed with congeniality. We also enjoy the upbeat Italian music that is played at just the right volume so we can hear it and our conversation at the same time. We have NEVER had a bad experience at Crust.

Yelp
The pizza here wasn't exactly what we expected. The pesto chicken was bland and over-baked. The the diavola pizza was ok. Not enough cheese and soggy on the bottom. The staff weren't the friendliest and didn't make us want to eat or stay there. There are plenty of free parking and the ambiance wasn't bad. It's a shame. Just not somewhere I am willing to return for the amount of money spent and the lack of food quality.

Yelp
So good!! I was craving authentic Italian pizza, and this was it. To start, I got the panzanella salad, which was shockingly good! The lemon dressing was clearly freshly made because it was properly seasoned (i.e., salty). The croutons also seemed homemade, and the olives were really good. I got the margherita and the diavolo. I love diavolo pizza because I love spicy pizza, but I have to say I think the margherita was my favorite. It was very suave forward - very fresh and very delicious. I'll definitely be back again, and I want to try the Nutella pizza

Yelp
I haven't had such lousy food at a restaurant in a long time. The pizza had no taste at all, very bland. It was nauseating just to look at. I really don't understand how it got such a high rating. I won't go again. The worst food I've had this year.

Jen W.

Yelp
It is very like it is made in Naples. Love it. Love the organic pepperoni and the arugula, and the meat.

Yelp
The first time we tried this place was by ordering through Doordash. We ordered their caprese salad plus a margherita pizza. Sadly, the pizza was cold when we got it. To us, it seemed to be a matter of bad timing as we know once the dasher got to the restaurant, he wasted no time getting the food to us. Most likely, the pizza got made before a dasher was assigned thus it sat there for a while. Anyway...we first ate the caprese salad which was unusual but tasty. Instead of sliced tomatoes, they used a lot of sliced cherry tomatoes (but the menu did state that fact). The burrata was creamy and flavorful and the balsamic dressing had good flavor plus all those cherry tomatoes were ripe. Then, on to the pizza...yes, it was cold but we zapped it in the microwave. We could tell that this pizza had good flavor. The crust had a slight char to it which was to be expected from the wood burning oven. The sauce had nice flavor as did the cheese with the bits of basil adding that nice touch that distinguishes it from a plain cheese pizza. What we suspected was that if we dined and got it served hot, it would have been a heckuva lot better...and we were right about that. Today, we dined in there. The man who greeted us (we suspect he was the manager) was very polite and welcoming. He told us to take a seat and he would put in our order. Normally, you go to the register and place your order. We just decided to have a margherita pizza and soft drinks. A staff member brought us our food when it was ready. Yes, the pizza was quite tasty. What a difference eating a hot out of the oven pizza makes! Much better than having to zap it in the microwave! So...next time we crave a pizza, this is where we will go for one.

Yelp
As soon as I walked in, I received a really friendly greeting from the staff. This was my first time ever going to Crust (I had heard good things about the Vienna location), and so far, I had a good impression. I couldn't decide what I wanted since they all sounded good, but decided to go with the Margherita, Diavola, and Pizza Bolognese. Because it was our first time here, the manager (or owner?) kindly comped our soft drinks. I was so hungry and was pleasantly surprised how quick the pizzas came! The oven they have that was shipped directly from Italy cooks the pizzas very quickly. Out of the three, my absolute favorite was the Pizza Bolognese. It was unassumingly tasty based on how it looked (i.e. almost like a regular cheese pizza). I'm so glad Crust came to Herndon. I will certainly be back soon! P.S. If you do decide to get the unsweetened ice tea, it tasted very watered down, so I'd pass on that. It must be something with the machine they have.

Yelp
Gave this place a try for lunch and I was relatively happy with the pizza. I tried the basic margherita and I thought the dough, sauce, and cheese were all good but the pizza was a little soggy in the middle. I think there might have been just a little too much sauce but with a little adjustment that could be fixed. They also made the pizza fresh in front of me in an actual wood burning oven. I hate to complain about price because everything costs more these days but for the personal pizza and a soda it ended up being close to $18. I wish it was a few bucks cheaper but it is what it is.

Yelp
I read so many great reviews on TripAdvisor that I tried it. Super friendly young person at counter. Fast food prep.....but the food....I spend $30 plus tip for a pizza, salad and bottled water.....whhhhhhaaaatttttttt....I could get a real meal for this....ok....so how was it? The salad was small and lame. Consider Cava at $13 you get a bucket WITH protein...this was maybe $9 and had some lettuce and light toppings. Pizza....sauce tasted like Tomato Soup from a can. The Diavola 'spicy meat' was MAYBE one piece of Salami sliced up into little shreds....huh...The dough was tasteless. The cheese was those hard little melted plasticized cheap balls of cheese that don't digest. My conclusion....$35 with tip?.......go to Puppatella or The Dons or Fireworks and get pizza with taste that is loaded with toppings for less money in a better environment with a server at your table.

Yelp
We had out of town family come to town for a visit, and everybody wanted Crust Neopolitan Pizza! We were not disappointed, all 6 of our pizzas were delicious. Fantastic service, taste, and fresh ingredients are why we chose Crust. I highly recommend the cannoli's for dessert! They're lit!
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
We like the pizza to go. We've done it a few times and so far it's been consistently good. We don't like the tiramisu. It's in a cup, sort of like a pudding, totally not what we expected (especially for the cost). One day we walked in to eat there and it smelled like gas. We turned around and walked out.

Yelp
Ordered a pizza for the first time at this place. Stated the Delivery would be between 6:56pm and 7:16pm. At 7:30pm still nothing. Log back in and found it was delivered at 6:41pm and never was there a knock at the door or doorbell ring. Found pizza on ground at front door. Bye the way it's 27 degrees out. I know that this "technically" isn't the fault of the proprietor, but they need to know the service used to deliver is garbage. Who doesn't knock or ring doorbell. If you were invited to a friends house would you show up and just stand outside hoping that they o ow your there. NO!!!! You fucking Knock!
google avatar

Maddee J.

Yelp
As a New England pizza snob this is the best pizza I've had since relocating here. The crust tastes homemade and the sauce is perfectly salty and tangy. Ingredients were fresh and delicious and this was one of the largest "personal" pizzas I've ever had. I felt I received a good deal for what I paid. I got a margarita and a pepperoni- both could have used more fresh basil (margarita pizza had entire slice with zero basil) but I was grateful the basil was fresh and not dehydrated. Will definitely be back many times over!

Yelp
This location seems to be really hit or miss. We had a few amazing experiences, but have been underwhelmed with our orders the last few times and are going to take a break. 2 orders ago they forgot to add prosciutto to my prosciutto mushroom pizza. Last night my husband's pizza wasn't cut at all (literally a whole pie) and I'm wondering if they forgot the cheese on mine b/c it just tasted like dry crust. It tasted so bad I threw it away and ate yogurt for dinner.

Ben C.

Yelp
Tasty pizza from a friendly place. Have only gotten it to-go but enjoy it each time. Would recommend to the people of Herndon & Reston
google avatar

Joann M.

Yelp
Just yum! Had the supreme which is sausage, pepperoni, onion, mushroom, green pepper... for us cooked well done and double cutplus the caprese salad a nice combo with this version using cherry tomatoes. Perfect for us to share with a little bit left over for a snack later!

Jason A.

Yelp
Don't let the strip mall vibe fool you. This might be the best pizza I've ever had. Wife and daughter agree. My wife said it best: "I don't know whether I like the crust or the middle better!"

Rachel A.

Yelp
I walked in on a Thursday afternoon at 5 PM. I was greeted warmly and helped right away. All I wanted was a personal cheese pizza to go. The service was fast. It was made fresh, and it was the most watery flavorless, and soggy pizza I have ever had, I took one bite and really it was not worth finishing even 1 slice.

Valter G.

Yelp
the worst pizza I had in my life I know this people from Tyson i cannot believe how bad this pizza was besides the person behind the counter extremely unpolite

Yelp
This review pains me to write because if you look back you'll see I wrote one almost a year ago when they opened and it was stellar bc it deserved to be and also bc I just loved the Crust "chain" pizza, however, sooooo much has changed over a year (& I've been a bunch of other times but didn't post a review bc I felt bad and even started going back to the original location in Vienna bc it was so much better) . The moral of the story here though is that you can TELL that this location is struggling and they are taking measures to cut costs and to save, but it's negatively impacting the customers and their food. Upon walking in the lights were literally off and even remained off even after I pointed out that the lights were off. My Margherita pizza literally had close to no mozzarella on it and when I asked for Parmesan (bc all the Parmesan jars on the tables were empty) I could tell the employee was hesitant to provide it, probably bc it's "expensive". And then there's this "packaging fee" on the receipt that they charge when NOTHING had to be packaged! I ate in the restaurant and had a bottled water. Again; I am thinking this is a way they are attempting to make more money and it doesn't sit well with me. The good news is that the cashier was sooooo friendly and happy so they do hire right and the pizza chef has done a much better job with their crust as once upon a time months after opening the crust wasn't "right" and that's what drove me back to the original location because they never miss. SIGH, I truly hope they're able to course correct what needs to be course corrected because the pizza is good! I'm rooting for you but had to write an honest review with hopes it helps!

Karl B.

Yelp
The service was polite and prompt. The store is clean if a bit utilitarian -- as it always has been. But the food wasn't what it used to be. One pizza was a bit soggy in the middle and the other was essentially raw in the middle. Some of the salad lettuce was bit tired. If it weren't a half-hour round trip, I would have returned the order. It isn't the same quality store it used be. Has the management changed? What a shame. I see no reason to return.

Mitch B.

Yelp
I don't get why this places isn't always packed. I've been here four times now and have eaten both pizza and pasta dishes off the menu. Everything is great and the staff is always friendly.
google avatar

Marty B.

Yelp
Great new pizza place with nice atmosphere. Brick oven zaa.... Good music and efficient service as well.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, clean and delicious Pizza! Also, every friday they have live music! Definitely coming back here for a casual date night or family night out!

Alvin B.

Yelp
No meat in the lasagna? Mostly cheese, noodles and "very thin" tomato sauce. Salad WAS fresh and good. Maybe just a pizza place. Didn't try that. Don't have high expectations for much more that's not round or Neapolitan. Impression staff not very familiar with Italian cuisine. Popeye'e next door is better real food option
google avatar

Yelp
I was excited to try this place after seeing so much positive press about it and I have to say I think it was just about average. I walked in with my family and we were greeted warmly so we were off to a great start. We looked at the menu and ordered a couple of pizzas, one a Margherita and I can't remember what the other was. We got some drinks- they were out of Coke and the area near the soda machine seemed like a bit of an afterthought- it was dark back there and we felt like we had entered a space we shouldn't be in, but that's fine as we got what we needed. The pizzas came quickly enough and they looked great, a nice looking crust and we were anxious to dig in. The result? Well, just a shrug. Honestly, it was just about average. The Margherita was the better of the two pizzas but not by much. The pizza was on the soggy/floppy side and the sauce lacked flavor. For the first time I felt like salting a slice of pizza and that's not great. The two employees that worked there were both very pleasant and welcoming and there is potential here, but after all I read about this place I have to question what people saw that was so great. Looks like I'll still be driving to Teddy's in Middleburg- still the best pizza in VA.
google avatar

Tony S.

Yelp
Got the supreme and the bolognese pizzas. Both were delicious. I got my food in few minutes. Super fast. Lots of seating and plenty of parking. Highly recommend this place. It's a thin chewy crust. It's my new favorite pizza restaurant.

Gerardo G.

Yelp
Ordered pizza with what I though would be a fried egg on top. I got a complete raw egg instead. Beware if you order an egg on your pizza and plan to have it delivered. Apparently they don't quality check their orders. Very disappointing and disgusting. Also the manager or owner I spoke with, who was Indian, was extremely rude and dismissive.

John B.

Yelp
Has anyone ever heard of a 3% packaging fee, I haven't this reminds me of the 5% car repair locations charge for shop supplies. I ordered a pizza to eat in NOT CARRYOUT. Once I looked at the receipt there was a 3% packaging fee ( nothing was packaged) that no one could explain. I asked for the manager but he was not there. So, if you want to pay 3% more for your pizza this is the place. There should be a sign explaining this charge. So, since I feel being ripped off I will not return to Crust.
google avatar

Ericka S.

Yelp
OMG CRUST! After trying SO MANY pizza places in the area, I've finally found great pizza! Maybe it's their authentic imported Italian ingredients... maybe it's because their crust comes out perfectly charred and chewy... maybe it's because it tastes so fresh... but I am obsessed! Their crust is outstanding and honestly makes the pizza as great as it is. I've bought the crust dough and made my own pizzas with it! I love the supreme pizza and the mushroom & prosciutto pizza! They're my favorites! The Bolognese pizza is heavy and not as flavorful as I would have thought. The vegetarian pizza was outstanding and packed full of flavor! The staff are friendly and even cracked some jokes. Crust is the best in NOVA and quite possibly the greater DC area!
google avatar

Franklin G.

Yelp
The best Neapolitan pizza in Loudoun County area, in my opinion. This cafeteria style is a simple place, but it delivers the best. The oven is just perfectly maintained, the heat is calibrated, and the dough, from mat to sauce and cheese, is just perfectly balanced. My family and I have been there possibly a dozen times in two years and we prefer this pizza. The guys give you a friendly and helpful service.
google avatar

brad c.

Yelp
I dig it. Great quality ingredients. Very simple and well made. I went with a basic anchovy pizza and I loved it. Pretty pricy, but worth it.
google avatar

Ben A.

Yelp
Probably the best Margherita style pizza in Reston/Herndon area, and we've tried just about all the pizza places. I'd recommend eating it in the restaurant though, and not delivery or takeout unless you're ok with reheating it a bit. It was quite soggy in the middle which is common with this style of pizza, but I also like mine in the well done side so YMMV. I could tell it would have been great if eaten right out of oven so that's why I'm giving 4 stars.
google avatar

Kyle O.

Yelp
Crust is the best pizza in the DC area. With imported authentic ingredients and oven that are imported directly from Italy, the product that comes out is so incredibly tasty. The oven gets so hot that is the pizza is only in the oven for 70 seconds or so, and that's how the flavors released taste so fresh. The best part was how Tony welcomed me when we came through the door. It was like I've known him for years and was coming over to his house. Can't wait to see him again and eat more Crust pizza! Great atmosphere. Great pizza. Great beer. 'Nuf said.
google avatar

Ajay S.

Yelp
A huge disappointment. Ever since they opened, I wanted to try their pizza but last night, for the first time I got a sandwich, didn't really wanted pizza so I got, Amalfi, a sandwich, supposed to have roasted peppers, olives, artichokes, parmigiana and olive oil. I don't really care for artichokes so I got tomatoes instead. Please check the pictures and honestly tell me if this sandwich is worth $ 11.00...a BIG NO. The cashier wasn't fully trained as she told me it was her 2nd day. Regardless I'll never go back.

Trusty S.

Yelp
I ordered takeout Supreme Pizza for lunch. It arrived with burnt bottom crust, meager toppings, and barely warm top. Definitely not worth $18 - expensive poor lunch! There was only 1 table occupied when I arrived, so they were not too busy to pay attention to my poor pizza. I won't be returning. Don't bother with this place.
google avatar

Fish O.

Yelp
Pizza was way undercooked and the pie was made on top of an incomplete crust - that is, there was a golf ball sized hole in the middle of the pie where the cheese just ran through and matted to the parchment paper. Had to re-bake to salvage it.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
My wife and I are from the NJ-NY area and are self-confessed pizza snobs. Always on the lookout for new joints, but seldom satisfied with the experience. To our surprise, the new Crust location in Herndon didn't disappoint. Now, to be fair, the proper comparison is Bertucci's not a NYC parlor, but the quality, service, and friendliness won us over. We enjoyed the burrata platter then indulged with the Margherita (we requested lightly cooked and they nailed it). Let's all support local businesses and celebrate a great new option for the region!
google avatar

Tuan P.

Yelp
We frequently visited the Crust location in Vienna when we lived near there and now that we found out there's a location in Herndon, we're so excited!   We went to grab 2 margherita pizzas and they were delicious! The people at the counter were so friendly and so were the owners we met. This is definitely our top pizza spot when we get that urge to really splurge on a really good pie.
google avatar

Teresa A.

Yelp
Very friendly service. Love the times they have the live music. Great pizza dough but sometimes it's very thin.
google avatar

Jeff F.

Yelp
Excellent pizza, one of the best in the NOVA area. The Caesar salad was very good. The owner / manager very friendly. Will be back.
google avatar

Trisha P.

Yelp
Wish I took a picture but we ate it as soon as we got it ordered the pepperoni pizza & added mushrooms and olives, and the tiramisu. The red sauce they use is amazing! It doesn't have that sweet backend & heavy saltiness most sauces have. There was a slight hint of lemon in the tiramisu and wasn't overly sweet either. Will definitely being ordering 2 pizzas next time!

Rob B.

Yelp
Really cool place. Pizza was excellent. Added Prosciutto to Margarita. Great service.
google avatar

Laura D.

Yelp
Feels like we're back in Italy when we eat here!!! The pizza is authentic and absolutely delicious. Great customer service as well!! 10/10 recommend!!!
google avatar

Ashita S.

Yelp
Ordered from Uber eats here! This place has really good pizza, unfortunately no gluten free but the crust was light and airy!
