Friends of Eater Miami Share Their Saddest Restaurant Closure of 2023 | Eater Miami

"I was bummed when Crust got sold — there was a magic Klime and Anita had, and much like that friend who changed after big life moves, it’s just not the same." - Olee Fowler

It's such a nice spot. I love the atmosphere, they have great deals on social hour, and the service is always a pleasure to experience. The food is so delicious and they really know how to make their customers feel at home. This is a winner across the board to me. Also, as soon as you step into the building, it transports you from a boring strip mall feeling to a modern chic pizzeria from another country. I get very cottagecore vibes here, and it is so approachable and inviting for this particular neighborhood.

For the first time since we've lived in North San Diego County (7 years), we ventured out to try a restaurant down the coast from us, in Solana Beach. The only reason we chose this restaurant was that we used our REPEGS app to search for a local business we hadn't tried yet and we are SO glad we did. Even though we thought it was closed when we pulled up to park, we were happy to find not only that they were open (on a Sunday around 2pm), but that they have an amazing "reverse happy hour" (the host called it). We had a 10" pizza (perfect for the 2 of us), caesar salad, and calamari and it was ALL delicious. We shall return and refer to friends, AFTER we make sure they download REPEGs, so they can save money supporting this local business, AND help a local charitable organization. Winning X 3 ways!

A great neighborhood pizza place and sports bar. Multiple TVs with plenty of games on during football season. Super tasty pizzas. The remodeled indoor-outdoor rooms are great for a private pizza party event.

1/5 stars Overhyped and underwhelming experience at this pizza place. After a long day at the beach, we were looking forward to a great meal, but our server's unwelcoming attitude and lack of knowledge about the menu set the tone for a disappointing evening. The 'build your own' kids pizza was a mess. Despite the menu saying 'build with cheese or pepperoni,' our server asked us to add toppings, which we did (broccoli, in this case). The description clearly states "build it at the table" however our son was not able to have that experience as the pizza was made and brought out with the rest of our food. When the bill came, we were charged for a full-priced pizza with added toppings, inflating the price from $12 to $17.50. When we pointed out the mistake, the server tried to brush it off and didn't even bother to adjust the price as promised. Not to mention, the kids meal states they come with drinks but we had to remind our waitress for drinks way after ordering their food. To make matters worse, the dessert menu was outdated, and we were misled about the beignets coming with ice cream. The whole experience felt like a money grab, and we left feeling frustrated and ripped off. But that wasn't all - the bathrooms were unacceptable with no toilet paper or paper towels in sight. And to add insult to injury, we came in hoping to catch a main event fight on TV, but the TVs were a joke. Two of them had a free trial promo going on instead of the fight, and the one TV that was showing the event had no sound. It was like they didn't even care about their customers' experience. $120 for subpar service, food, and amenities? No thanks. Unless you enjoy being taken advantage of, avoid this place.

This is such a great little restaurant in Solana Beach. It has a welcoming vibe and has great food. The Chicken Marsala is a favorite. Their new Maple Chicken Strips appetizer is also wonderful. The House salad and House dressing is also very tasty.

Great space with a nice bar with multiple big screens and lots of seating outside. But, pizza was average with bland taste. The Solana salad was a bunch of spinach, a few apples and dressing with low flavor. And cost was outrageous.. $45 for those two items. Friendly staff.

This place is fantastic. From the personal service and the food. Wow what a place. They made 60 meals individually wrapped for sanitary comfort. All of our associates felt comfortable eating the well prepared meal. Thank you again for all you do.. Special thanks to Nikki and kamia....
