Cruze Farm Ice Cream - East Knoxville

Haven't been in a few years since we don't live close but always a treat! Fresh seasonal ice cream. We had chocolate and sweet cream swirl and straw and sweet cream stacked. So good! Love the porch area where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream and watch the kids play.

My youth group was in town for camp at Johnson University. We wanted ice cream and we found this place online and it is AWESOME!

This is one of the best ice cream places in Knoxville. So enjoy the hot fudge sundae I think next time though I'm going to get chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla. Service environment everything is just amazing

First time ... Loved the burnt butter and peach swirl in a waffle cone.

This is a soft serve ice cream place with lots of options and toppings. It is located in an old house with a giant porch. We snuck in just before closing and enjoyed our ice cream and the early summer fireflies. It was an amazing vibe. Don't be scared off by the industrial park that borders this little slice of peace.

Please do yourself a favor and just go. Such a delightful place! The house is beautiful and the front porch is a relaxing place to eat. Ice cream is soooo creamy. They offer additional dairy products you can take with you…gallon and 1/2 gallon milk, 12 oz bottles of strawberry milk, chocolate milk, and the star of the show (my opinion) coffee milk…sooo good. Didn’t try the pizza which is next door but next time we will.

Best ice cream in the country. Wow! Every time we visit Tennessee we come to Cruze. It seems like every time I come they have invented a new one! But they always have several things to choose from, not only ice cream. My favorite is chocolate. Tonight we had the gingerbread man and hot chocolate flavored ice cream. Simply wow! It's a local family owned business. They produce what they need to make their ive cream. Quality is their thing, which is great for us, customers! The employees are super nice and friendly. You can ask for a sample of any flavor before you decide what you want, just like buying gelato in Italy. Love it!

For the last two years I visited my friend living in Knoxville each summer, he is the one who introduced me Cruze Farm ice cream and he is my best friend since then :) The best and the only ice cream that I am addicted to. I visited the downtown shop and this one, both are awesome. Whoever is looking for a good ice cream can skip this place because this place serves only awesome ice creams. Enjoy.

I love visiting Cruze Farm Ice Cream shop. This has to be my favorite location since the Pizza Barn is across the street. You eat pizza and then have their delicious ice cream! Today, I had the Strawberry-Sweet Cream twist! It's the best strawberry ice cream I've ever had. They also had a special on Half Gallon Chocolate Milk, so I bought that too. It's delicious and not too sweet. I want to try their strawberry milk next.

If you finally make it to TN and it's raining - what is the 1st thing you do? Stop for ice cream at Cruze Farm! Fruity Peddle with Brown Butter for my husband and Sweet Cream for myself! This place is still was magical and yummy as I remember the 1st we discovered Cruze Farm DT Knoxville on your 1st visit to TN. Now Cruze is a family favorite!

Cute little location. We stopped by after we had pizza across the parking lot at the Pizza Barn. The ice cream was excellent! We got a sweet cream/chocolate swirl in a cup, and a rocky road churn. The churn was rich with all the chocolate ice cream, but the swirl was a perfect balance. Staff were cheerful and friendly. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed our ice cream in the sun. We would go back for the flavor and ambiance!

Venturing out to Cruze Farm ice cream is a must if you find yourself in the Knoxville area. Most people I saw at the pizza barn ventured right across the way to grab ice cream afterwards. We sampled the strawberry sorbet and lime Dole whip, both of which were ok for a sweet treat, but not great. I wanted something a bit more unique, so went with the cookies and cream churn. Although it did hit the spot for an ice cream treat, it didn't wow me as it was sweet, but not as rich and creamy as a premium ice cream would be. I would still recommend to all my friends to venture out here to judge on their own, as it's set in a super cute home with nice interiors and beautiful outdoor porch seating...it's a quaint experience. They do have dairy/milk products as well, but prices really seemed on the steep side for those. Likewise, the prices for ice cream (other than the kid's size), trended towards being pricey. I had expected to be more impressed with the ice cream over the pizza barn, but the pizza barn won my tastebuds over a bit more.

This was my first time at the Cruze Farm on Ashbury Road. We went for pizza but also got Ice Cream since it was conveniently across the parking lot. We had a half and half pizza 14" pizza. It was SO GOOD! I even ate the crust. The service was really good and the even brought an extra pizza to our table that had been made by mistake. We walked across and had ice cream next. I had the ice cream with expresso. It was too good. Everyone in our party ordered a different kind of ice cream.

Love everything about Cruze Farms! We go here at-least once a week for ice cream. Always excited to check out the flavors of the week! The specials are also a favorite! Cruze farms never disappoints and their staff is top notch!

Totally awesome!! Love the look of the old house, the service, the offerings!! I walked across the street after my first try of the Pizza Barn for dessert, after seeing an advertisement online for their new featured ice cream (key lime pie). They had delicious flavor offerings, which made it hard to choose. They let me sample the Cherry Dole Whip (I couldn't help my curiosity), but I ultimately chose the Key Lime Churn. It was good, but I wish the cheesecake bites had been mixed all the way through the ice cream, rather than just put on the top. As with the Pizza Barn, the ordering process was smooth. You order and are given a pager. Then, you can choose to wait inside in one of a couple rooms in the beautiful, old house. Or, you can go outside to wait on the covered porch area...which, by the way, is the ultimate feature of this place!! It is an awesome space for socializing and enjoying your sweet treat! Definitely will be back!

There pizza is hyped but there ice cream is good I'd say a little better then Andy's .

5/5! With all of the things you can order, combined with the experience of the area once you're here, it's hard to rate it any less. We LOVE the ice cream selections and thought the pizza was pretty good as well. It's nice to have the ability to park and order or do the drive thru as well. Definitely a great place to swing by if you're in the neighborhood!

Cooled off with a couple of scoops during a warm sunny afternoon. Sweet cream is my favorite, my hubby chose the swirl version (chocolate and sweet cream). Lots of families were out enjoying a tasty treat. Sweet cream

Love this place! The ice cream is fantastic, the employees are friendly and it has a fun vibe.

I was excited to try the ice cream while visiting my sister who lives in town and highly recommended the lavender honey/ espresso combination. We went through the drive-thru and were given just the lavender honey ice cream (no espresso swirl) and so we parked and went in to ask if we could get it corrected. When we entered the shop, the worker who took our order was talking about a comment my mom said earlier about not wanting an ice cream cone due to the machine not fully freezing the specific flavor she wanted. When she remade the ice cream it was smaller than the first cup and was also melting quickly, even though we weren't told these flavors weren't freezing well either. Not a good look to talk about customers behind their backs as well as not provide consistent service. Also, I know a faulty ice cream maker isn't your fault...just communicate it clearly and let us know if that is the case! I also tipped expecting good service...but I guess you can't count on that these days.

Yum!! The staff is so cute and friendly! Can't wait for them to reopen!! Hopefully they'll have a graham cracker or cookie butter flavor!

We have been buying from Cruz since they had their popup on Gay Street in Knoxville. Their ice cream is the best across many states, no issues there. The issue I have is that the locations are becoming dirty and unkept. I have included some pictures in hopes that the employees address some of it. I like a clean environment, but the floors are always sticky, the chairs are falling apart, weeds are growing up between cracks in the porch foundation, etc.

The best ice cream I've ever had. It's made locally & made with love. The location here is easy to find & we love the atmosphere of the old house. I enjoy how the flavors change with the seasons. Please go & treat yourself if you've never been. It's truly the best ice cream ever.

I appreciate that this is a local farm and the ice cream is real. It tastes great! I try to avoid mainstream fast food restaurants. I'd like to see more businesses like this.

Their ice cream has a reputation for being the best in Tennessee for a very good reason. The charming historic house is home to the ice cream store, the pizza barn being across the parking lot in a separate building. My wife and I ventured over after sharing a pizza. Even though the line can get long (like the downtown location), it moves quickly. Probably because there's not much to choose other than ice cream and milkshakes. I chose the good ol' standby of vanilla and chocolate swirl in a kids cup. It's soft served from a machine. I purchase the kids cup (which is about the equivalent of a large scoop) to limit myself, or I would eat a gallon of it! My wife had the vanilla shake. The ice cream is thick and delicious. So was my wife's shake. I can't think of how you could improve upon this time-tested product. It can be addicting.

A local dairy run by extra good people, makes local milk into delicious ice cream then hires cheerful folks in cute outfits to serve it to you on the porch of a historic house. The food energetics are so good it is health food. ; )

Visited on a Saturday night in July. Starting with the positive: Cruze Farm has some of the most delicious, creamiest soft-serve ice cream in Knoxville. Their customer service is always outstanding. Finally - you can tell details matter at Cruze Farm. One example is the staff's outfits - they've always stood out to me. During this visit, I thought it was neat even the employee's masks were a white checkerboard pattern to match their outfits. The cons: I'll start off by saying, I needed to adjust my expectations. The way everyone I knew would talk about Cruze Farm's East Knoxville location, I always pictured it on a farm. Everyone I know would talk about the Cruze Farm "Pizza Barn" and the fact that they've hosted drive ins movies. With that and the knowledge that the milk to make the ice-cream comes from the family's farm - I assumed this location would be actually on a farm. It wasn't - it was right beside a strip mall with a State Farm and some other professional service offices next to it. And the Pizza Barn was just in a large brick building (afterward - I felt silly for thinking it would actually be in a barn..). From the time I pulled in the drive through line until I pulled out of the parking lot with my order- it took about an hour. I chose the drive through, because I thought it would be quicker. And honestly, when I thought about a drive through, I thought about something like Dairy Queen where you order, they make the ice cream, and give it to you through a drive through window. Not the case - they take your order and place a number on your car underneath your windshield wiper. Then you park, and they bring it out to you. From what I could tell - it seemed like the folks who were in the establishment had pretty long wait times as well. I don't know the ins and outs of their business - however it does seem like they could find a way to make the drive through more efficient. Overall - I spent 30 minutes in the drive-through line, 20 minutes parked waiting for the ice cream. I was disappointed over the long wait, however the ice cream almost made everything worth it.

Been coming here for a year. Always love it. This afternoon we went through the drive through. My daughter was the car ahead of me. It took forever. The whole time an employee was socializing with a guy flirting away while there was four cars in the drive though. One car finally got out of the drive through. When my daughter got her order half the 6 ice creams she ordered were melting. When we pulled up there was not even an acknowledgement that it took forever. Disappointed. The last few times the ice scream has been melting.

I love their many flavors of ice cream and the environment. They also have great Sundaes and pizza. I enjoy going here to eat, especially and the John Sevier location.

It is the best ice cream I've ever had, without a doubt. We do not live anywhere near it, and yet we try to go whenever we can. The service is great as well!

So this place takes the cake for ice cream in all of Knoxville. That good. Especially with their specials and the many different flavors of soft serve. Although the ice cream house at ashbury is a little bit out of the way, I'd definitely go out of my way for this ice cream. The house is super charming with a large amount of sitting areas around the porch of the house as well as inside. The ice cream counter is super cute and all the employees are dressed so nicely in their red gingham dresses. Anyway, I've tried a good many of their flavors from regular sweet cream, cookies and cream, lavender honey as well as their specials like the blackberry cone (blackberry Ice cream, cheesecake bites, cookie crumble, honey drizzle)or the sassy cow (sweet cream ice cream with chocolate dip shell, caramel drizzle and sea salt). All of them are amazing you can go no wrong with any of their flavors. So before summer is over stop here or the gay street location a couple or many times!

Best ice cream in town !!! I've lived in Knoxville for years and I'm sorry to say this was my first time !! Great ice cream , great staff , if you haven't. Ran , you must go ! Can't wait to go back !!

It's a good place to go for ice cream. there I got a milk shake peanut butter, it was 7.85$ and my girlfriend got a s'mores churn which was about 7$ as well. Quality ice cream but almost 10$ for a shake is insane. Quality but be aware it is pricey if you want a pint it's like 25$

The ice cream was alright. It was super sweet and not extremely creamy. It was a cute setting though. The workers are extremely nice and patient. You can try out the flavors to see what you want before buying it.

Such great ice cream. Although everyone knows that. Hahah. The twist with sweet cream and chocolate is so very good. That's my go to with their waffle cone. I get it all over myself somehow the last couple times. So very good and will be back!!!

This place serves amazing Ice Cream! You can taste the cream. It is nice that this all local and by local I mean Knox County local. This family produces the cream and milk on their own farm. I love the coffee ice cream the best.

This place definitely gets the award for the cutest ice cream shop in town! The girls in their red and white plaid dresses and friendly smiles are so welcoming! Cruze has the traditional flavors but also does a great job mixing up the flavors. Their waffle cones are delicious! I finally got to try the ham & goodies lemon ice cream. It was so rich and buttery I actually thought I was eating the cookie in smooth frozen form. Make sure you ask for the cookie on top for an additional $1 but totally worth it. Pro tip, it is so rich the small was actually too much. Next time I'd get a child size or mix it with another flavor. This is true with several of their flavors so make sure you get a sample first then decide on your size.

I can't believe with a line out the door this place isn't a year round thing!?! So delicious and so many options! In my group we had one sweet cream cone dipped with chocolate and sprinkles, one half sweet cream/half peanut butter drizzled in regular chocolate, one royal brownie churned shake thing, one Sassy Cow and one Cookies & Cream cone covered in dipped chocolate. I'm not a dipped fan personally, so mine with regular chocolate was great. Here's the kicker: I got some of the milk and drank it next to another not to be mentioned organic whole milk and Cruz was sooo much better. Creamier, smoother, I am there new biggest fan!!! Can I move onto their farm because seriously this family is onto something fantastic!! Great price, fun swag to buy too, and TOTALLY worth it!!!!!!!

Super yummy! We weren't expecting much, but once we took the first bite we were in love. We ordered the cookies and cream mixer and it was so yummy. It was super flavorful and the ice cream tasted superb. Wish we had something similar back home. Definitely recommend!

The cutest place with the best customer service! They have a Christmas movie drive-in set up for people waiting on their ice cream. They also gave us a free pint because the machine was broken on the flavor we ordered. They go the extra mile to make their customers happy!
