Crying Tiger - Review - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"One of our favorite Thai spots in the city, Luv2Eat, opened this to-go window on a Hollywood side street last year, and now the food is also being served inside Black Magic Rose, the magic show/cocktail extravaganza next door. Given its location and late-night hours (open till 2am), this place is a drunk food dream zone, but it’s also open in the afternoon for your lunch hour. Our moves tend to be either the jade noodles or the shui mai chicken dumplings, but you can’t go wrong." - Brant Cox

We came here for the first time to try this restaurant. Portions were smaller compared to other Thai restaurants. Besides that, all the food tasted great, but I need to ask for condiments. Service was awesome.

Crying Tiger Thai Bistro & Bar in Eastvale, California, has become my go-to spot for both dinner and lunch, and for good reason! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to unwind after a long day or enjoy a casual lunch. For dinner, I was truly impressed by the flavorful dishes that showcase authentic Thai cuisine. The Crying Tiger beef was a standout, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The balance of spices and herbs in their dishes is exceptional, and every bite is a delightful experience. Their lunch menu is equally impressive, offering a variety of options that are both delicious and reasonably priced. Whether I'm in the mood for a classic Pad Thai or something more adventurous, I always leave satisfied. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that every visit is a pleasant one. I highly recommend Crying Tiger Thai Bistro & Bar to anyone looking for a fantastic Thai dining experience in Eastvale!

I recently had the pleasure of dining here during lunch, and overall, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The modern ambiance of the restaurant was sleek and inviting, setting the tone for a great meal. The Thai tea, although a bit pricey, was delicious and perfectly brewed. The service was top-notch, with our servers being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They made great recommendations and checked in on us frequently. My partner opted for the Fried Rice Lunch Special, which came with a veggie egg roll and side salad. The fried rice was cooked to perfection, with a nice balance of flavors and textures. The egg roll was crispy and flavorful, and the side salad was fresh! I also tried the OG Thai Boat Noodle, which was good, I felt that this dish was slightly lacking in depth of flavor. However, it was still enjoyable and I appreciated the generous portion size.

Google
A new addition near Costco at Hamner and the food quality doesn’t disappoint. The food was great, Curry optimally thick and tasty, The fried rice had enough taste and all freshly prepared. Would come here more often and the service staff was super organized though the place was crowded for a Friday afternoon

We went for lunch on a Saturday. There was no wait. The customer service was great! I got the crying tiger Ribeye and it was amazing. It was perfectly cooked and had so much flavor. We also got the curry and it was delicious as well. The Thai tea was also really good it wasn't too sweet like most Thai tea! I can't wait to come back to try other dishes.

Google
It was OK. I had lunch special called drunken noodle. Flat noodles were all broken and added too much oil.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon while we waited for Costco to die down. We were able to be seated quickly and our orders were out within 10 minutes. The food quality was amazing, menu prices were decent. the portions were fair and the service was quick. This is worth a visit, we both would come back.

Ordered 2/13/24 around 8:30 PM crying tiger beef but looks like the cook was not paying attention and gave this uncooked steak. I never asked for this to be cook medium or red this is just not cooked well. I had to finish cooking it at home. Just want them to pay attention next time. Place and food is good. This is my 3rd time ordering take out and this is the first time it disappoints.

Yelp
Great food! And even better service! The staff members here are super friendly and attentive. Whether you are placing an order to go, on the phone, or dining in they are fabulous! You can also count on this restaurant to always present you with delicious food. Most portions are family style and very generous. They also have great options for those interested in having their own plates. Lunch is a great time to take advantage of their specials. The restaurant itself has an open dining area with a bar area for those interested. It's a super welcoming minimalist style restaurant. A great place for any size group. Food 5/5 Service 10/5 Ambiance 5/5

Yelp
This is a great spot! The food is fantastic, portions are decent and the service is good. Some of my favorite dishes include their signature Crying Tiger steak, it's tender, juicy and full of flavor. I also really love their Crab Fried Rice and their Yellow Curry. So good! My only gripe is that they close for a couple hours in the afternoon and I've gone a few times not thinking about that and being caught off guard by it. Sometimes I'll wait if it's close to reopening, other times I'll end up going somewhere else. Also, the place is kind of small and can be challenging getting a seat sometimes. Overall, a great spot though, and one of my favorite restaurants in Eastvale!

Yelp
You guys, the Crying Tiger ribeye steak here is sooo tender and grilled to perfection! This is all I wanted to eat. We also ordered Pad Thai, Garlic Fish Filet (What she order? Fish Filet), and Hat Yai Wings. The wings were also a stand out, so crispy yet tender inside. Make sure to check their waitlist on Yelp because it gets busy. We went on a Friday night for our date night and it was worth waiting outside in the cold wind for the Crying Tiger!

Yelp
Overall underwhelming dinner. The curry chicken Panang was a little too sweet, my papaya salad ordered spicy came out sweet and on receipt showed medium. The khao soi was totally different than others I didn't like it. It reminded me more of Indian curry. The crying tiger beef was tender but pepper dipping sauces were not spicy. The boat noodle and phad Thai were ok. The staff was nice enough but some of our drinks didn't come out and had to ask the server again. The restaurant is smaller but nice and clean.

Yelp
Review 4 of 2025 I came here with my family for dinner. I ordered Penang with Chicken with medium spice with one scoop of rice. it was very favorable and perfect. It was shareable dish. Note: Vegetarian or Vegan customers - please do not order the vegetarian egg rolls as it is deep fried in with other Non-vegetarian dishes. I would definitely come back here to tried other dishes. Service was great Food was delicious. Ambiance is nice.

Yelp
Pretty tasty Thai food in the new shopping area in Eastvale! Been on my list to try for quite some time but was able to give them a shot with a friend and our kids during lunch time! We sat outside, ordered food family style so we can try a little of everything. And was pretty impressed! What we ordered: the yellow crab curry dish, egg rolls as some examples. Pretty good quality food! And food came out at a good time. Just enough flavors and spice that made it just right!

Yelp
Food is delicious Big fan of the red curry and the fried rice. Thai tea was delicious. Service is fast and servers were kind. Very comfy inside. Lots of families with their kids eating dinner. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for some Thai.

Yelp
Crying tiger is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the area. It boasts a classic traditional Thai menu and the perfect every dish I have tried. Service is always great and the modern decor inside sets a nice bright tone to each meal. A must try!

Yelp
I placed an order for both beef pad see ew and the crying tiger with basil fried rice over the phone for pick up. From the moment the staff pick up the phone and the whole encounter while picking up the food, everything went smoothly. They took the order and they gave an estimated time to pick up. There are plenty of space for parking outside, and when I came in the restaurant on a weekday for lunch, the place was packed! good sign! and I went ahead to the counter to let them know that I was there for my phone order, paid for the food, and went on my way home to dig into these food! I've heard of this new Thai place in Eastvale from my family members and was excited to finally try it. Especially the crying tiger with the basil fried rice. The food here did not disappoint. I would love to come back and try more of the other items but I definitely would order the crying tiger with their basil fried rice. I have a 3 year old who also love that basil fried rice. The crying tiger is very tender and so flavorful, it goes so well with the sauce that was served along with the basil fried rice. The pad see ew is delicious too but it pales in comparison with the crying tiger. The name of the restaurant did not disappoint! The price is a bit more than your usual Thai food, but the quality and flavors are worth the price! The portion is also very generous!

Yelp
I live nearby and I really want to like this place but each time I order, I am disappointed. I've tried the larb chicken and it was kind of bland. I only tasted spicy. Today I ordered the Drunken Noodles and it doesn't taste authentic. The noodles are so soft and the color isn't right. It doesn't even look appetizing. I guess I'll keep going to Little Buddha.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has the best Thai food I've ever had! I come from Arcadia to get food here! I usually get pad see ew or pad kee mao cause I like thicker noodles but my friend convinced me to try the pad Thai and it was to die for! I usually don't like pad Thai but this one has the best flavor! I also had their crying tiger and it was the most flavorful and tender meat! The food also comes out fast and hot! I would definitely recommend this restaurant !!!

Yelp
First off service was great!!!! please make sure to do yelp waitlist because they do have a wait. Worth the wait though!!!! The restaurant is clean and nice decor. Restroom super clean as well! Food was great and tasty. My favorite was the crying tiger curry!!! must must try

Yelp
the best neighborhood thai spot! i typically eat here with my family whenever i visit, and it's always so good. my favorites are the curries, garlic fish filet, and any of the noodle dishes. the service is always top notch and it's always very clean :) highly recommend!

Yelp
Everything was delicious! I wish I had known that the portions were seriously family-sized, though. Our small table was completely overtaken by all the food, as you can see, and we felt a bit silly with so much in front of us, ha-ha. We couldn't finish anything and had to take everything to go. We ordered Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, fried rice, and an appetizer whose name I can't remember. Everything was fantastic, but the fried rice was our favorite! Next time, we'll order dishes to share so we don't end up with so many leftovers.

Yelp
The wonton soup has the right taste of cilantro and fish sauce/saltiness. The pad thai noodles are chewy and is one of the best I have tasted. The crab fried rice is fresh and tasty. The lime sauce can be applied to all the food especially the garlic fish. The servers are very friendly and theres ample table for people.

Aileen F.

Yelp
Meh...everything we ordered tasted like it was catered to people with a spice fobia lol papaya salad was not spicy at all. there was no dried shrimp included. the chicken satay was alright, kinda chewy. the yellow curry was lacking that oomph. it was kinda bland. lastly the boat noodle was HIGHLY DISSAPPOINTING. Not a single hit of spiciness nor flavor. Just very greasy. Was duped by the 5 star reviews on here. If yall want thai food, this ain't it so don't get your taste buds excited for nothing

Yelp
Let's face it. Going out to eat nowadays is pretty expensive. But if i'm gonna spend money, i wanna eat something really yummy. They are pricey but sure enough, this place is worth every penny. SHRIMP IS MY WEAKNESSSS! And they had a fried Lemon Shrimp appetizer....omggg we devoured that. The sauce was a perfect, acidic/tangy and savory creaminess to the fried crunch of the shrimp. It had a little bit of salad which paired well with sauce too & we finished it! So so tasty! Our entrees were delicious! I loved my drunken noodle with shrimp. I asked if they could make it less spicy since it had the spicy sign on the menu. They said, "oh don't worry, it's mild!" And it was!!! I'm glad i ordered it. Tasted divine! I had a little bit leftover which were still good the next day. My husband loved his yellow curry chicken with rice. I tasted it and loved it as well. We were so amazed at how FAST the service was! We ordered and literally within 5 minutes or so our orders come out so delicious! The inside is very cute! Love the decor! Next time, I need to try the Khao Soi! This is my fav thai spot in the IE for sure!

Yelp
For the longest time, I have heard notorious reviews about this spot. Unfortunately, I have not had the right opportunity to actually try their food. I decides to give them a shot and ordered some takeout a few Fridays ago. I ordered my Dad the tom yum soup, some basil fried spicy rice and yellow curry. In terms of price, it was more affordable and lesser in price than Little Buddha. The food was also really enjoyable. The customer service was good and the place was spacious with good lighting. All-in-all, I was very much pleased with this place and the lunch that I ordered. I will be back very soon !!!!!!

Yelp
Eastvalians who don't like to venture outside the city limits to explore great dining. Look no further if you have s craving for Thai food. This relatively new Thai restaurant is a place you HAVE to check out. The wait wasn't long and they had a huge birthday dinner party they were serving but we were really surprised that our food came out really quick. Like Chinese restaurant quick (IYKYK). The spice levels are pretty good but be forewarned, the spicy beef salad is rather spicy so you've been warned. I really recommend the green curry as well, the addition of the bamboo shoots and eggplants really knocked it out of the park for this dish. Amazing, I'm not vegetarian but i think this could pass for a vegetarian dish. We also ordered pad see eww and a piping hot pot of tom yum soup. Our daughter destroyed the pad see eww and i nearly burned my fingers grabbing the ladle to serve the soup (probably due to the flames from the sterno fuel) but be mindful of that. All in all we really enjoyed the food and the cheery atmosphere. If you're in Eastvale and don't like leaving the city definitely try this place out. If you're from another city i highly recommend making the trip, there's a free after dinner dessert places you can hit if you have room for dessert (and who doesn't have room for dessert?).

Yelp
Definitely there are better Thai restaurants out there. But they do have a few decent dishes. The few dishes that are good: - Spicy Beef Salad - Tom Yum Soup - Lara - Grilled Fish Filet But don't get: - Pad See Ew - lacks a lot of flavors - Pad Thai - flavor is off

Yelp
My father visited this establishment 45 minutes prior to closing, although service staff was very attentive the food was mediocre We requested extra spicey food and were served bland and lukewarm food

Yelp
New Menu update 10/24/2024!! They got a new dish call "Tiger's Curry" red curry gravy topped ribeye steak!!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food and drinks! I love coming here and enjoying Thai food! The service is super fast and the servers are attentive. I would recommend this restaurant and their green curry. They have lots of parking in front and this is located in a plaza off the freeway so it gets super busy

Yelp
My wife and I decided to finally try out Crying Tiger Thai Bistro. The wait was only 7 minutes after signing in on their Kiosk. We had the option of sitting at the bar or a regular dining area. We decided to sit at the bar. The restaurant isn't very big but thats ok with me because smaller restaurants tend to give better service. My wife and I started with the appetizer we decided on the garlic riblets. My wife had some white wine and I had some Thai beer. The riblets were very good and the Thai spicy sauce they give you for the riblets is perfect. Great start to our meal. We decided to share the Pad Thai with shrimp and the crab fried rice. Both plates were delicious cooked perfectly! I added a little Spice with the chile pepper provided on the table. All I can say is delicious, delicious and the service was great! Both my wife and I recommend this Thai restaurant.

Yelp
Take out is delicious. This is a difficult task because sometimes food breaks down when it's not fresh but this place is absolutely delicious and the service is stellar! We usually order a curry and a noodle or a main dish and have been happy with all our orders every time. Did I mention service rocks?
google avatar

Amisha S.

Yelp
Small place but a very cute place. Food was very yummy, we ordered everything vegetarian! The papaya salad was good, could use a bit more of a kick. The Tom yah soup was very flavorful definitely recommend it but if ur not a Mushroom fan then I would definitely say to them, go easy or no Mushroom. Basil fried rice was delicious, drunken noodles was very good. We told them spicy but it was all medium. Overall it was a good place. Service could use a little tweaking. But I liked the food it was good!
google avatar

Amanjot K.

Yelp
Not horrible but not as flavorful as little Buddha and the spice level is nonexistent. Not the best thai food we have here in Eastvale area, if you don't like spice it's probably a better option.
google avatar

Erick J.

Yelp
Fresh, hot, tasty Thai! Our food came quickly and the staff were friendly and engaging. New modern space can't wait to go back for the crab real crab fries rice.
google avatar

Alice M.

Yelp
Foods were delicious & favorful Staffs were friendly & super attentive. It was completely packed, but we were able to get a seats less than 30 minutes. Maybe a suggestion , place might need more tinted windows, sun was bright & shinning towards our way
google avatar

Pauline A.

Yelp
Love this place. I recommend the crying tiger steak with their chimichurri sauce. Their crab fried rice is yummy as well with good amount of crab on top. Worth going to for a thai restaurant. Service is always really great and really good at refilling water. It can a little loud but usually pretty good casual vibes.

Yelp
DAMN! This spot is legit Thai food in Eastvale. I'm glad the wife and I popped in and decided to try Crying Tiger out. First impressions, there it was packed house so you know the food much be good. Service was very kind, positive and welcoming vibe. The decor and artwork is nice. As far as the menu, the key word nowadays for us is Kao Soi. Crying Tiger got that Kao Soi! So we definitely ordered that! We also ordered the Green Curry and Mango Sticky Rice. Every thing we ordered that night came out freaking exquisite! The dishes tasted as good as it looks! Kao Soi was on point, the green curry with beef was mouthwatering and the mango sticky hits the spot. Crying Tiger Bistro is one of those restaurants that worth the drive for us and we can't wait to come back again!
google avatar

Yelp
Yelpers never disappoint !!!! I read the review for this restaurant and alot of them said try Crying Tiger Beef and OMG it was absolutely amazing!!!! So tender and The sauces mannnnnn the sauces were amazing. I will definitely be back to try Other dishes but this was a win-win for me.

Yelp
Best place always!!! Best service, best food, best ambiance. My family and I always come here on a weekday or weekend and sometimes for birthdays-- which they announce to the whole restaurant to sing happy bday and it turns out really fun! I've gotten almost everything on the menu so far and nothing disappoints. 20/10 staff

Yelp
Came here for a lunch date and was very pleased. FANTASTIC! This is the best Thai food I have ever had. We ordered the Tom Kha soup, cashew chicken and beef pad see ew. The Tom Kha was the BEST thing I have tasted in a LONG time. I think about this soup on a daily basis. Everything was flavorful and the ingredients were high quality. The staff was incredible. Hands down some of the best service I've had in quite some time. The restaurant is cute and I loved the decor. It's really modern and in a great location. I am headed back right now for some more Tom Kha. Highly recommend checking this spot out for any occasion!
google avatar

Raeanna D.

Yelp
I got food togo and was throughly impressed! Their fried rice and their Khao Soi was so yummy! Good portion of chicken in the fried rice too so I was happy. I am excited to come back and try more of their food! The ambiance in their did feel a bit more fancy than your usual joke in the wall Thai place and would mind coming here for a nice dinner. Service was swift and welcoming too!

Yelp
We've been here a few times and it's always fantastic. It's a very small space but even when it's crowded the service is always extremely fast and very good. Everyone is so nice and the drinks and food come out quickly and every single thing I've tried here has been delicious. The rib-eye is legit the best steak I've had in the area. Like I'd rather come here and have the rib-eye over going to Fleming's or any other steakhouse. The dishes we love: Pork riblets Curry puffs Basil fried rice Crying tiger Spicy cashew nut (wasn't spicy) Kra pow basil Boat noodle Drunken noodle I always look forward to trying a new dish when we go. Every single thing I've tried has been delicious and full of flavor.

Yelp
When you go to Crying Tiger, you can expect 3 things: 1. To be greeted with a smile 2. Absolutely delicious food 3. Top-notch service regardless of how busy they are Highly recommend this spot if you're in the mood for some Thai!

Yelp
A great modern Thai place, the staff is very friendly, and ready to help. The environment is very casual, great place to talk and enjoy some delicious Thai food. Everything was delicious. I will be back!

Yelp
What a great addition to the collection of Thai places in the Eastvale area!! Excellent service, good intimate ambience, and of course wonderful food offerings! Pretty much everything was good... but my favorites are the Seafood Soup, Crying Tiger, Kao Soi, and Basil Fried Rice. Since this place is quite small, it can easily get crowded. I recommended getting here early, or expect a wait!
google avatar

Yelp
Been here twice and have been impressed both times! The service is excellent and the restaurant has a sleek modern style. I recommend their Pad Thai and Crying Tiger dish in particular. One of the better Thai spots in the IE!
google avatar

Sargun S.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite Thai places in the area! In fact, whenever we have people coming in out of town, they always make a special trip to Crying Tiger! I haven't had one dish that I haven't liked. Everything is well seasoned and generous portion size!the appetizers are also amazing! Our go to is the orange chicken, extra crispy, pad see ew, and pineapple fried rice. The staff is super friendly and attentive! They always have a smile on their face and now recognize us, so it's always a fun little chat. The restaurant gives Tulum vacation vibes and I love it. Simple and elegant. Great place to bring family and friends.

Yelp
This place is a winner!! I love Thai food and whatever travels I go, I have to try the best thai place. From the Bay Area to SD to Inland Empire, I've experienced many top contenders of what I believed to be the absolute best thai food and this is definitely one of my top 3! Food: we ordered so much food to try for two people that they had to drag another table to add onto ours so we got a good sampling of what's good. 1. Drunken noodles with shrimp (7/5): can I say this was perfectly wok charred and the spice level was just enough spice for a subtle hot of heat and not set your tongue into a numbing abyss? I loved the chewiness of the noodles and the amount of shrimp in it. We even added some of the green herbed vinaigrette from our fried rice dishes and it turned it into a whole other level of flavor 2. Crab fried rice (7/5): can't tell if I ordered crab with fried rice or crab fried rice because this dish had huge pieces of actually crab leg meat in it that I had mistaken them for egg whites. The wok char flavor was there and it came with a herby vinaigrette that was the absolute *chefs kiss*. Not sure what the vinaigrette is as I don't think I've tried it before in Thai cuisine. I want to say that there may be hints of Latin American influence in the dishes as my curry puffs came with a ceviche style relish? 3. Curry puffs (4/5): disclaimer I live next to a locally famous Thai temple street food market where I've had really amazing curry puffs. The curry puffs here are reminiscent of those same ones but surprisingly missing a dimension of flavor that their other dishes had. Maybe it was missing a little heat or texture as it seemed mostly to be of curry potato filling. The crust was perfectly fried and flaky and delicious by itself as I didn't personally like the pairing with the relish it came with. Overall still worth a try 4. The crying tiger (10/5): omg this dish was insane! The ribeye was perfectly grilled and tender melt in your mouth and went very well with the two different sauces. Again the dipping sauces seemed to be a Thai Latin American fusion (I could be wrong) but it worked as a really herby tangy accompaniment to the steak. On top of that you have a bowl of piping hot Thai white rice and you're left to wonder why you hadn't come across this place sooner 5. Mango sticky rice: this needs no rating because it's self explanatory anything with in season ripened mangoes on a bed of warm sweet sticky rice is gonna be amazing. I appreciate that they are generous with the coconut sauce and there was a perfect amount of mangoes! Personally I think it would've been even more perfect with a little bit of Thai basil garnish (try your mango sticky rice with a little hint of Thai basil some day, you'll thank me later) The service was really good and everyone was super friendly and were surprised to see two people lick the plates clean on what seemed could've been easily a feast for a family of 4. We were seated promptly and the food came out quick. Overall this is a bit of a drive for me but I'll come here any day for my Thai food cravings!

Yelp
Great Thai spot! Interior was eclectic and fun. Loved the booth seating. Ordered the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. Both were so good! The additional spices they provide were next level. Quick and friendly service, waiter's were kind and checked in often for water refills and quality assurance. Will definitely be coming back, ordering some apps and a drink from their bar!

Yelp
Absolutely loved my experience here! The flavors are just incredible, with perfectly balanced spices that transport you straight to Thailand. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot for dinner with friends or a romantic evening. Service was top-notch--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes! Highly recommend the Pad Thai and Green Curry; they were out of this world!

The lemon shrimp appetizer and drunken noodles are delicious, always consistent. Service is fast and nice ambiance.

Yelp
Still love the food, service, and ambiance here. I tried a lunch special for the 1st time, and I wasn't a fan of the dressing in the salad. It tasted like a honey mustard flavor, but I did try the tea and yum!
