Ocean views in a gorgeous setting, this plaza will give you dining options under green vines with fantastic food varieties and calm boutiques. Just park, walk, eat and relax. Sunsets are prime but any hour of the day makes for a pleasant experience!

A Coastal Escape with Ocean Views & Great Eats If you’re looking for the perfect mix of shopping, dining, and stunning ocean views, Crystal Cove Shopping Center is where it’s at. Whether you’re here for a meal, a quick errand, or just to soak up the coastal vibes, this spot never disappoints. Trader Joe’s Berries & Friendly Staff One of my favorite things? Grabbing a box of fresh, organic berries from Trader Joe’s—they’re consistently top-notch. Sweet, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Plus, the staff here is always incredibly friendly, making every quick grocery run a pleasant experience. Relax with a View This place isn’t just about shopping—there’s plenty of free outdoor seating with heat lamps to keep you warm, all with a breathtaking ocean view. It’s the kind of spot where you can grab a coffee, take a deep breath, and just enjoy the moment. Unbeatable Dining Options Whether you’re in the mood for fresh seafood, upscale Mexican, or a casual brunch, Crystal Cove has some of the best restaurants around: • Javier’s – A staple for upscale Mexican food, margaritas, and an unbeatable atmosphere. • Bear Flag – The go-to for fresh poke and seafood lovers. • Parakeet Café – Vibrant, health-conscious meals and excellent coffee. • Crystal Cove Shake Shack – A classic spot for burgers and shakes with an oceanfront view. Shopping & More Beyond food, you’ve got Gap, Banana Republic, and high-end outdoor furniture stores, making it a great spot for a little retail therapy. Perfect for a Weekend Visit Even if you’re not shopping, Crystal Cove is worth the visit. Grab some berries, sip on a coffee, enjoy the fresh ocean breeze, and take in one of the most relaxing spots in Orange County.

Fantastic place to relax and grab a coffee or a meal. Gets crowded on weekends!

We went to Javier's for a birthday dinner with our friends. The food was great. The mixed drinks were on key. We had a great time.Love the remodel, very open concept and plenty of lighting

I love this place! There are plenty of nice shops to look at, a Starbucks and quite a few nice restaurants. Down one end is a Trader Joe’s for you groceries and up the other end is an Aston Martin car dealer. There is also plenty of fancy cars coming and going.

Google
First time to be here. It’s a good shopping mall. Restaurants are packed so decided to have a to go - desert from mastros and cup of coffee from Starbucks and while doing my walk, have to watch the beautiful sunset.

Litzy

Google
Lots of stores, places to eat, and, by the way, a small place to see the sunset on the ocean.

Google
It’s a beautiful stretch of wide open view to the Pacific Ocean. Isn’t it curious that it’s reserved for parked, empty cars?

Yelp
It's like a car show every time I go. There is Pagani's, Ferrari Porsche's so anymore. There are a couple great coffee shops in here so it's always like cars and coffee. This parking lot and shopping center has an expansive ocean view. Not a lot of cell service tho so I don't recommend working remote from here.

Lily T.

Yelp
Nice place to go in the summer afternoon~~~there're plenty seats if you need a place to take a rest. It's cool If you sit Facing the ocean park way.

Ashley Y.

Yelp
Some of the best restaurants in Newport are in this shopping center. My favorite coffee shop is located in here so I come here often. Weekdays it's very chill here, lots of parking and not as many people. Weekends parking is a little harder but we still always find a spot. Everyone is always nice in the shops and restaurants. There is plenty of seating to hangout or work but very bad cell service in here. Haha.

Yelp
For review #470, here it is~ I drove over to 'Crystal Cove Shopping Center,' during my last Newport Beach day trip out visiting 'Corona Del Mar Plaza.' This plaza wasn't far from 'Corona Del Mar Plaza.' I'll have to return here adding videos I took from the parking lot. This is such a perfect location because it actually directly faces Newport Beach if you don't feel like fighting traffic down the beach site itself. There's a Trader Joe's here in this plaza, a 'Banana Republic,' clothing store and some other restaurants. I'll be back next time to support more local biz from here.

Yelp
This is a really nice shopping center in a very affluent area of Newport Coast. I love all the stores here and they have a Pressed Juice. Yum! Bluefin sushi is pretty good too! There are a lot of aggressive birds though so be careful around Bear Flag Fish and hold onto your hats! Lol

Yelp
Got dinner and had drinks at Javier's. Took home an Uber and they towed my car. Unbelievable. Great work "security"

Yelp
I didn't shop here. I'm an 81 yo disabled Vietnam vet, and I'm an amateur astronomer. I came here to try to get a video of the Space Station transiting the sun. I had my telescope aimed at the sun with a solar filter, and I was setting up the camera. Some KGB agents from the center came in their little golf cart, and asked me what I was doing. I made the mistake of telling them I was going to get a video of the sun. They told me that no recording is allowed there, and I would have to leave. I kept setting it up as they kept telling me I wasn't allowed to do what I was doing. When they finally figured out that I wasn't going to stop, they asked me how long 'til I was done. I told them 5 minutes, so they said they'd be back in 5 and I'd better be done. I was done in 5, but it took about 10 more to put everything away, and they never came back. If you shop at Crystal Cove, make sure you don't try to take a selfie, or a pic of anything you're thinking of buying. You might be starting WW3. No recording is allowed there!

Yelp
Another great spot to spoil your loved ones with gifts and purchases. We stopped here yesterday on a somewhat overcast day to get out the house and kill some time. We were shopping and looking for early Christmas gift ideas . My first time ever coming here to shop and hang out. My girlfriend has been here a million times already. So its a nice family place to get out and shop and enjoy yourself. Will be my go to place .

Yelp
Crystal Cove Promenade has been a beautiful place for many years and has become a victim of its own success. We've lived in Crystal Cove just above the Center and for years enjoyed going down frequently for shopping, dinner or coffee. No longer!! The parking has become absurd - truly epically difficult or impossible almost all day. There is no parking control of any sort. There are security staff driving around the lot much of the time, but there is virtually nothing they can do to deal with the situation. The frustration amongst the tenants is extreme and they feel powerless and are losing business. Why? Because dozens, if not hundreds, of visitors park for free daily simply to walk across the street to Crystal Cove Park having saved $15. It gets even worse when, frequently, the Park lots are full and hordes descend on the Crystal Cove Center. The saddest part is that with a small amount of management the problem could be effectively resolved. Control the parking with access tickets requiring a Center business validation or pay $25 without a validation. Would sure bring more foot traffic into the Center businesses and deter parking free loaders. And the Irvine Company would make even more money it really doesn't need

Yelp
I love this place, the atmosphere is nice, the decoration is beautiful, the waiters are very friendly, the food is delicious.

Yelp
PRETTY SWANK ! My wife and I were enjoying a weekend getaway in Newport Beach over the July 4th long weekend. Before we checked out of the Newport Beach Marriott Bayview on Sunday around 11am we looked up this Crystal Cove Shopping Center. We thought it might be a good lunch spot on the way home to Solana Beach. Even better I saw there was an Aston Martin dealership. WORTH CHECKIN' OUT ! We pulled into the parking lot around 11.30am after a very scenic drive along the coast. I could see the Aston Martin dealership on my right as we entered. LOVELY ! Initially we bought there was heaps of parking right in front us. WRONG ! It was all valet parking for a few exclusive restaurants like Mastro's Ocean Club & Javier's. We ended up driving to the far end of the parking lot....with a better ocean view and parked among all the not so rich. We decided to check out ALL THE SHOPS first so we walked along the sidewalk outside the businesses. Lots of fashion shops...Banana Republic, Casablanca Bridal, Coastal Cool, Novecento Boutique, a few restaurants and eateries...Bluefin Restaurant, Bear Flag Fish Company plus The Butchery Quality Meats, a furniture store, a Trader Joe's, a Starbucks, a Williams-Sonoma and that was about it. We walked back to one of the restaurants....A Crystal Cove and placed a reservation for lunch at 1pm. It was 12.30pm when we walked into the Aston Martin showroom. I'M IN HEAVEN !

Yelp
Firstly, you can't see the water from this plaza so don't get your hopes up for that. Secondly, the parking is plentiful but tight and always full so be careful with your Bugattis and Zondas. I have mixed opinions about this plaza, but really nothing bad to say. Yeah it's pretentious and sure the people here are desperate for attention and constantly searching for the perfect IG photo or selfie op, and yes you'll see a lot of older men with their women of varying ages, status, and legality, but that all adds to the entertainment value of this plaza which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. Yes, you have options in terms of food but don't come here if you want something fast and casual (unless you enjoy depressing pizza). On weekends, be prepared to tussle shoulders with the crowds while attempting to relax. Best bet would be a weekday not during the lunch rush if you have the luxury to come during off hours. Love the menu at Modo Mio. Javier's is a great change of pace. Bluefin is ok but I've had better. Bearflag is putrid. Marche Moderne is also a nice drop in. Oh, and if you're parking here to go to the beach, don't. The lot is 100% monitored and there are very clear signs saying no beach parking, so if you get towed while on the sand, don't complain. It's your fault. Also, if you get attacked by a bird while walking in the plaza and then give a 1 star review, you have some serious issues you need to address in your life. Damn nature. You scary.

Yelp
Awesome shopping center that is directly across the street from the ocean . Has everything from fine restaurants, a variety of upscale eateries , various salons , Starbucks , to Trader Joe's . And what I love most is the nicely landscaped outside eating area . Nicely lit in the evening with large comfy chairs that face the ocean with a constant fresh sea breeze day and night . You've got to go there sometime on one of your shopping days . Or just to hang out I know You'll love it there .

Yelp
Nice classy shopping center in Newport Beach has shops and restaurants all on one lined stretch. Mainly came here for one of the restaurants for a friends birthday. At night it can be tough to spot because if you miss the turn like I did you'll end up at a security booth that is at the entrance of homes. So I turned around and found where I needed to go there is a lot of parking although can be full due to the restaurants and shops. Overall a nice classy shopping plaza but then again it is Newport Beach very nice area.

Yelp
I love the location, but I'm just not excited about the retail stores offered. A nice ocean view and upscale modern architecture, makes the experience more appealing. Lots of comfortable outdoor seating are available to relax or eat between shopping. I do like Bear Flag for a quick bite to eat and browsing Pier One. Other than than that, maybe some groceries at Trader Joe's and I'm done.

Yelp
my favorite Starbucks her is now closed:( from what I'm told there are greedy landlords here and raised rent significantly on Starbucks. if I were another tenant I would be unhappy as starbucks brought in a lot of foot traffic. good luck to that new proposed coffee shop. don't think you will last long.

Nasrin O.

Yelp
I love this shopping center specially White House Black Marker store has very nice and professional associate who helped me a lot. You definitely should go to White House Black Market to buy good quality and pretty dress. You will find nice and friendly staff they try to hep you to find your size and bring you what looks like great on you. I have been helped by Elham & Mahnaz they are so professional and know all about ladies clothing.

Yelp
Beautiful place to spend an hour or so to shop eat and gaze at the view. It was clean and well kept. I would come again soon.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Despite the fact we shop at Trader Joe's all the time and make other purchases in this center, we decided to also walk down to beach. Car was towed. $350. Over 1.5 hours going to Costa Mesa to retrieve while family (including a 5 year old) waited in cold out front. Than, 5 year old hits his head on edge of sharp directions sign on walkway. Worst day. Never shopping here again. So many other patrons went down to beach and we were only ones towed.

Fran K.

Yelp
BEWARE I was attacked by bird while walking in center. There are no signs posted but they said it happens all the time. It was actually painful and scary. I would spend my money elsewhere so you can walk safely. They are doing nothing !!!

Zoe C.

Yelp
Crystal Cove Promenade is a Beautiful Mediterranean style shopping center set in a dream location with a unique mix of restaurants, shopping & boutiques. Most storefronts & restaurants face Crystal Cove State Park with an ocean view. The restaurants range from casual to high end fine dining. My personal favorites are Babette's, Tamarind, Javier's & Mastros. Rarely do I venture anywhere else since I have the Best right here at home. I feel so fortunate to be part of this Crystal Cove community and I remind myself daily to appreciate all its beauty, stunning ocean views and gorgeous sunsets. Truly it doesn't get any better than this! Bookmark this location for a day or night adventure.

Arwa M.

Yelp
We had some coffee from Starbucks and some desserts from another store. What I liked was that the outdoor seats were clean and the center was almost empty .

Dhruvil P.

Yelp
I didn't went there to shop. Its a hell of a costly mall with high end stores. I just went there for the location. As the location is fabulous near see. We have fantastic view from parking area.

Kate M.

Yelp
I work in this shopping center and I still will give it 3 Stars. And for that reason it's because of The wonderful Irvine Company Who feels they are the best of the best. LIES. I was attacked by not 1 of these "protected birds" but 5!!!! No phone number to call for security anywhere in the shopping center. I don't feel safe working here knowing there's no phone number in the parking lot I can call for help but dialing 911. Security does not make them selves visible. Any time I see them he is on his scooter on his phone in the back behind Trader Joe's.

Steve T.

Yelp
Crystal Cove Shopping Center is really upscale, elegant and a great place to take your special someone out for dinner. There's an amazing view of the ocean. However, it doesn't have that many stores. It's more like an extra shopping center to accompany Fashion Island. But I do like this place and will continue to come here for the dining and the amazing views.

Odie O.

Yelp
My favourite strip mall as every spot has a view and very high-end clean and quiet. Lots of comfy seating but not a lot of parking. Only has a few stores but cooking stores are my favorite.

Maria M.

Yelp
This is probably the most beautiful shopping center in the area. Almost from everywhere in the parking lot you can see the ocean nearby and if your timing is right, you are in for a great sunset view too. The shopping center is not huge but it has a good selection of shops from clothes to restaurants and even a grocery. Wonderful location!

Melissa D.

Yelp
It's a nice, upscale Irvine Co. shopping center with a great view of the Newport Coast. Mastro's Ocean Club and Javier's are hot spots and we have waited over 2 hours before to get a table at Javier's on a Sat. night. There's a Trader Joe's, Starbucks, Gap and some fancy shops that sell lots of over-priced things which make good window shopping, (especially if you're waiting over 2 hours for a table). Bear Flag Fish Co. and Pacific Whey are good mid-priced, casual options but can get crowded as well. We still haven't tried Blue Fin but it's supposed to be the best sushi in O.C. Tamarind of London is also on our checklist but they don't seem to get nearly as busy as the other restaurants. There is valet parking next to the restaurants, but you can just self park and walk the extra ten steps to the door. The parking can get a little crazy when it's busy but if you have a little patience, you can certainly find a spot.

Bob S.

Yelp
Awesome food! Great selection of fish. I had the Specialty Burrito - loved it.

Angela V.

Yelp
Great shopping center which has amazing views of the ocean which can make your shopping experience more enjoyable. Lots of nice stores like Banana Republic, Gap, Pier One and yes even a Trader Joes. There are also restaurants here is you wish to get something to eat. Really beautiful and clean, wonderful views and the cool ocean breeze.

Dave F.

Yelp
Crystal Cove Shopping Center, aka Crystal Cove Promenade has about 35 stores. Mainly, the shopping center has an incredible view. Although, the architecture didn't rally emphasize the view a couple of the high end spots, Javier's and Mastro's Ocean Club both have views. The Promenade has several newer restaurants and an eclectic mix of high end unique retail and boutique mixed with national chains. The makes for an interesting mis-mash of stuff. On weekends, this place can become stroller-land which makes for interesting dining experiences. Free parking and convenient location.

Vickie S.

Yelp
A beautiful place to shop, eat and just enjoy the morning. A fabulous sitting area to sit and just enjoy the scenery.

Jorge W.

Yelp
Cute mall, but mostly non popular retailers. Only Trader Joe's and BR, Gap are the big stores.

Surp S.

Yelp
Great shopping center with an amazing view. The shops there are all very nice. Most are small retailers.

Mary M.

Yelp
I drove by here for over 3yrs & kept saying: I'm going to stop there someday. ... I finally stopped and this is so much better than battling my typical shopping centers - parking was so easy and the atmosphere is a 10... go ahead and stop instead of driving by for 3yrs like I did... it's well worth your time.

Audrey H.

Yelp
Small shopping center. Beautiful view of the Crystal Cove Beach here. I would come here for my eye doctor or Javier's or just a spot for Starbucks to head to Laguna Beach. It's very peaceful here. Which I love that the best!

Mark N.

Yelp
Shopping with a view of the ocean. Breathtaking. I'm ashamed I never knew about this mall until recently.

Sarah A.

Yelp
Amazing shopping centre with all basic needs. There's a Starbucks, mini organic market, and lots of luxurious stores. There are also several fine dining restaurants. Nice and prestigious shopping centre in Newport Beach.

Barbara D.

Yelp
Recently spent a month in SoCal, I love to shop and see what an area has to offer. I drove by this shopping center several times before deciding to stop. One long stretch of shops so no looping around. Too high end for me.
